Great long distance movers

I'm a young, fresh college graduate who just got a job out in NYC, and I was absolutely terrified about moving so far away. I've never done this before, but I found Nationwide Moving Services, and they saved me tons of stress. Best long distance movers ever! There's so much to keep track of when moving especially for your first time, and they really helped me out.

The worst service

The customer service reps and management team are rude. The estimated quotes are no where need close to the actual price when the moving company comes to pick up furniture. My price was triple to what the estimated quote was, the moving company explained to me they use an outdated system to calculate the furniture size to get customers to work with them. ITS A SCAM DO NOT WORK WITH THEM. Find a moving company yourself, you don’t need a broker to find one for you. Definitely learned my lesson.

Not Reliable - Not Trustworthy

My experience with Nationwide Moving Service and the moving company they contracted to move me, SoCal Moving Ent. was the worse experience. You don't get to choose who they hire you to move, you get stuck with some fly by night mover.

Nationwide assured me that I can trust them with my cross-country move from CA to PA. I am an elderly woman who has survived domestic violence and I let them know this. Their customer service or should I say Cross Country Movers is who you get to talk to when you call their customer service. When I call Nationwide they tell me to call customer service which is this other company. When they say they will call you back, they don't. If you can customer services too many times they screen your number so they don't answer, but put the *69 and the call goes through. My shipment was over 30 days past the max delivery period.

I was also told that I would be reimbursed for every day that my items were delivered late. I have not seen or heard back from Nationwide Moving Service or SoCal Moving Ent. about it. I was also short a box I informed SoCal Moving about this and had not heard back. In another box that I securely packed, the majority of the contents, some guitars, were delivered sans box. One of the guitar cases was tampered with. This experience with Nationwide Moving Service and SoCal Moving Ent has been traumatic.

Steer Clear! Hidden Costs!

We spent well over an hour walking through everything with the sales person, using video calls, etc. during the estimate process. The sales person of course gave us a low estimate and assured us they he was even being conservative and the actual cost would likely be lower. We even sold a rower we had after the estimate, but before the move. The estimate was about $15k, but when they movers showed up we were almost $20k. Of course there's nothing we can do at that point as we had to be out of the house, but we felt very misled. I'd encourage anyone to look into other company and place value on those that provide a binding quote and probably a company that does an in-person evaluation to avoid unexpected costs. As we learned, Nationwide does not provide a binding quote and the actual cost will almost certainly be higher. It seems like a company that tries to give a low estimate to get your business and then has no problem charging significantly more once you're in a spot where you have no other options. All I can do is try to steer others clear.

A True Lifesaver!

The long distance moving package was a god sent! We had to up and move in a rather short amount of time due to some personal issues, and they had us in Florida with all of our items in tact and unloaded exactly where we wanted in no time! The movers treated us so well it felt like we had already known them for years. The customer service is impeccable and the prices are fair. These guys definitely earned our loyalty.

Smoothest move ever

NMS was fantastic. The communication was smooth and the movers arrived right on time. They got right to work boxing everything up and got the show on the road in no time.

Though we were under a steep deadline to move out of the house, NMS was extremely helpful and responsive to our situation. Moving is usually stressful, especially with a long-distance move like ours was. But NMS took care of everything. Thank you, NMS!

Long distance movers

I was in need of long distance movers in a short amount of time and came across this company. The people that I spoke with were super friendly with great communication and very professional, quick and helpful. Only at the cost of $2300!. It was a great experience and all my belongings were transported safely and in a timely manner to my new residence. Great quality, professionalism

Nationwide Moving Services is unmatched when it comes to the quality needed to be good at what they do. Hiring a moving company was hard to decide on. My wife and I were skeptical about hiring out of state long distance movers for our moving needs, especially with the size and number of large items we had to transport. Quality Service!

They were tremendous in helping my family move across country. Terrible experience

We contacted nationwide- they are brokers- brokered out our move to logistics pro- who in turn, contracted our belongings out to another mover. We lost family flags of deceased family members- numerous boxes of kitchen items, personal information and a router table. After numerous calls for assist with locating our items- the contracted mover informed us, “why are you complaining? I didn’t charge you an additional 2,000 for having to back up to our driveway and unload 50 feet from our garage.” The move from Denver to Washington state was around 11,000.00. I believed we were paying for all of our items to arrive. To date, we have not been able to get a call back for remediation.

Very Responsive and Super Patient Customer Service!

Good Experience and friendly people

I highly recommend them.

The moving crew from Nationwide Moving Services arrived first thing in the morning and started working. They were very focused and dedicated. They did not take a single break. I never found them wasting time. Professional indeed! On the other side of the move, they unloaded all my belongings and helped me move the furniture around as I saw fit. They are also kind, patient and friendly. Everything went so well. I highly recommend them.

Fantastic Customer Service!

Nothing inspires headaches like trying to commission long distance movers. The hassle, the expense... it is not common that a moving company makes you feel valued. As such, when I requested a quote, and received a phone call shortly thereafter that specifically aimed to cater to my needs, I was staggered. The customer service agent was knowledgeable, respectful, and eager to assist me with my move. Those questions he couldn't answer went up the chain, ensuring that I have control over my move. Horrible service

We used this service and were told we would have a large diesel that would have our section clearly marked, they would take credit card payment and all kinds of other stuff that never happened. They claim that we almost doubled our count of items. Even if that was the case they quoted us 6,000 and double would be 12,000. We ended up paying close to 17,000 for an in state 4 hour move for a 2100 sq ft house that we had sold most of the large furniture before the move. They used a third party vendor who showed up in a Penske truck and automatically said it was gonna be way more and couldn’t take credit card. Cash or postal money order. We tried to cancel but Nationwide threatened to keep the 4000$ we put down without doing anything. The third party is rated 2 stars in multiple sites and 2.9 on Google. With tons of complaints. We signed the documents under duress due to their threats of losing money. The 2 man team were nice and I don’t blame them as I went through nationwide. They picked up our stuff but didn’t know how much more it would be and found a way to take a credit card purchase with a 3% charge on top of it. We paid another 2060$. They loaded up and took off. 2 days later they tell us it’s going to be another 10,394$. We called and emailed nationwide to complain as you have to pay upfront and would only take cash or postal money order which have a max of 1000$ per money order otherwise no delivery. Nationwide gave us a manager who was rude and just kept saying “oh well you signed the paperwork”. After a bit I got pissed off cussed her out and hung up as it was going nowhere. The third party manager said we could start venmo or Zelle him personally and he would deposit it in the company bank account. No way I would do that. We found a way we could get the 11 money orders to pay them. If it didn’t have our personal paperwork and family memorabilias in it I would have told them to keep it. Nationwide doesn’t care and lies to you from the start. There customer service is horrible and they won’t try to resolve it. Never use them as they are a scam and just a horrible buisness.

Scam!!!

If I can give a zero Star!! Never before and will ever use this company as they are a broker, they call you and act very professional and very polite at first but as soon as you pay the deposit, they get there cut and that's pretty much it, honestly they will never want to deal with you again and won't even answer their phone if you have a question, finally the real moving company showed up in a rental truck gave me different price was $600 more than the broker said. So like I said will never use these Conn's and scammer's ever again. Very unprofessional people!

Don’t

I called them for an estimate and filled out the inventory sheet. I was given a price and paid a deposit. When the week came to move we were cancelled twice and on the 3rd day they sent a company who looked at my furniture and instantly knew I had more square footage than I stated even though we wound up moving a huge amount on our own.

The movers instantly broke an antique that made its way from Germany unharmed and I was told it was from a previous move. And that isn’t the only piece which was damaged. Idiot! Like I don’t have pictures!

I called Nationwide 3 times, emailed more than that and nothing but crickets! Don’t trust this company or Kyle. He said he is here to help but quit answering me once I said things were damaged!

Call a local mover with insurance. Don’t call Nationwide!

Do Not Use this company

It has been over a month and I still have not received my stuff. They NEVER call you back ! I’ve been told different things by everyone I’ve have spoken to. I was originally told it would be about a week and I’d have my items. I was quoted $1800, after 2 weeks they say they need another $2500, so I paid it immediately. There is only boxes from (1)one small bedroom and (1)ONE piece of furniture. So the cost is totally outrageous!! EVERYTHING I own ALL memories of my parent my sister who have all passed are now lost somewhere. They do not seem to care at all !
