Long-distance move from Indiana to Colorado

Was not honest!

I was quoted. 68 cents per pound at 2800lbs and then we went back reviewed my stuff and decided to raise it to 3800lbs at. 68 cents with the verbal understanding that I only pay for what I ship and would be credited back at .68 cents per pound well my total weight was 3001lbs and they only credited me back.15 cents what bs! You will also never talk to the person you booked with, I think I've talk to a total for 5 different people and the last one yelled at me!  And you wonder why movers get bad wraps! If you like to get ripped off this is the company for you!

Long-distance move from Florida to New York

Highly recommandable.

I have been very happy with the Moving APT team. To begin, they sent several timely, organized emails after I booked them clarifying the details of how the day of the move would go (what time they would arrive, their price estimate, etc.). Moving is always stressful and their emails let me know what I should expect and gave me confidence that they were reliable professionals. The day of the move, the Moving APT team arrived exactly on time with a 30 minute warning call so we could be prepared. They were friendly as they packed up the truck, presentable, and very efficient. I was pretty amazed at how quickly they loaded up the truck and how careful they were with our stuff. They packed our large TV screen and other furniture that needed to be wrapped well. When they arrived at our new house, they stopped the clock for a break and ate some food. They were tidy and nice to talk to --- they all seemed like nice guys with families and I felt comfortable with them in my home. They handled everything very delicately. While packing, I ran out of packing paper last-minute and ended up packing a medium box full of glasses wrapped in thin tissue. Not a single glass broke.

I'm very happy with the experience and would recommend them to anyone looking for reliable movers in the Florida.

Moving Nightmare - AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

This company has been an absolute nightmare. They are out to ook you and get your money, and then dump you.  In brief:
1) They told me they were going to overestimate my shipment weight during the booking process to ensure that there was enough space on the truck, but assured me that I would only pay for the actual weight of my shipment.  The truck was not weighed before and after loading as was promised.  I contacted MovingAPT and was assured repeatedly that this would be done before and after unloading.  When they showed up to unload, they had no weight, and MovingAPT refused to honor their agreement, telling me if I really wanted a weight, they would put my stuff back in storage for weeks to months until they had time, and that they would charge me more.  In the end, I paid for their purposefully overestimated weight, not what I actually shipped.

2) They are impossible to reach.  Their booking number for new customers goes straight to a person, but if you try to reach customer service, it takes many messages, and sometimes weeks, to get a call back.  I logged all my calls and often had to leave 10 to 15 messages before someone would call back.

3) They book me with a carrier (Sammy Services) who is irresponsible and exercised no care for my belongings.  Over 20 of 50 boxes were missing, furniture arrived unwrapped and heavily damaged, and boxes were crushed and torn open showing extreme negligence. The delivery also took 7 weeks because the carrier "could not find a truck." When informed of all of this, MovingAPT had no problem with it and informed me that they would continue to use this carrier for future customers.

Long-distance move from Ohio to Minnesota

Very fishy and unreliable.

First and foremost, Don't do it. Now to tell you why..
1- Moving APT is a broker. This caused alot of confusion when another company ( Public movers ) showed up to pick my stuff. They had some objections about dessembling my bed room, claiming this is "too complicated" since it was from ikea. When calling moving APT, there was no direct connection between the two.
2- Also initial stimates by the broker do not have to match the mover actual special weigh station numbers ( which are VERY suspicious). the yweigh the stuff at CAT weigh stations, which are scattered and maybe over 60 miles from your place (my case).
3- Moving APT uses weight for their estimate. So for a 1 BD romm apt with the items I noted they estimated the total as 32000 pounds. The price was 1500$. (they use the deceptive language of "oh we usually over estimate, so don't worry") However, when movers came and weighed my stuff it came down to 52000 pounds ! charged me 3200$ instead !! calling them again.. no valid response..
Moving on..
4- Damaged items and missing items ( I don't understand how they miss items after they color label your items with a special color! ).
5- Worse part.. When complained, the complaint company is a third party!!. (movingclaims.net) so there is a lot of confusion in the whole process. and this is a very lengthy process ( three months and no word from resolution center yet).
Bottom line.. Don't do it. I would rent a Uhaul and people to load and unlaod and drive it myself instead ( in my calculations it would have saved me 1700$)
I read bad reviews about them but not too many so I didn't listen .. Too late !

Long-distance move from Colorado to Pennsylvania

Run for your life!

I had the worst experience with Moving APT.  The company took the upfront money and gave the business to Quality Relocation Services in Colorado.  I had a bad feeling when two guys in an Enterprise rental truck pulled up.   Almost three months later my goods arrived. The driver, by himself driving a semi, said he could not get into the city, so I had to agree to pay for a rental truck so he could get to the destination.  Then there was the matter of damage to a bureau and the complete loss (as in not devered) of a sofa.  During the transit time, Moving APT was of zero help.  It was very difficult to get Customer Service to answer or respond.   I figured out that the only way to talk to someone was to call the reservations line. someone was always there for new business.  Current customers, forget it.   My impression of Moving APT is that it is a broker like business farming out the commissions to the lowest bidder.  If you are thinking of moving your goods and you come across Moving APT on the web, run for your life! Do not go near them.  .

Moving APT.

Do NOT use Moving APT. They were very friendly and gave us an incredibly reasonable quote up front, and explained exactly how everything would happen. Not has happened as they told me it would, and I am not paying over double the original quote. Not only did they neglect to inform me about future charges, they also blatantly lied about things, to trick me into situations where I would be forced to pay more. As soon as I contacted them about an issue, they became difficult to deal with and rude. Avoid working with them, at all costs.

Long-distance move from Rhode Island to Florida

Poor Service.

The first time I contact this Company (February 2015) the rep. Mr. Lukasz was very helpful. They gave me an estimate as per my list of furniture and boxes very reasonable. About $7000.00 to moving my belongs from Rhode Island to Florida. I sign the estimate and make a deposit to look forward to the date of moving(March 2015). Then the first surprise, the company I see at my door is not MOVING APT but NY BUDGET MOVERS LLC. and after to charge the truck they show me another estimate of $12000.00 with a charge of $1600.00 for packing material (5 boxes and dozens of tape). 3 days later a new surprise, was another moving Company they arrive at my door in Florida. My belongs was discharged from the 1st truck to a storage building in N.Y. and charged another truck to transport everything to Florida with the final bill of $13000.00 and a total of 30 missing boxes from the load. Also they not re-assemble the furniture as per the contract indicates. I call Moving APT to put a claim and send me a Claims service company CSI who in October send me a letter to " inform our service agreement has been terminated and do not proceed any claim" . 11 months later I still waiting for my belongs or payment for. I lost valuable things stolen by the mover company without compensation.

Beware!!

Do not do business with this company - wish I had researched them before using!! Look up the definition of "bait and switch" and you will see them!!

Just as everyone else has reported, they must intentionally I price your move so expect to pay more than twice what they tell you!!

Movers kept delaying pick up - I called our representative at Moving APT to express concern - he never returned my call!!

Was given quote of $4k and when movers showed up, they wanted nearly $9k and we did not add anything!! We actually deducted a few items -

Movers were two days late and when moving apt called us the day after the pick-up asking us how our service was, we told them 'horrible' - the lady said she would get with her manager and call back - guess what?! no return phone call!!

Beware of their scam and run away!!

Moving APT: Dishonest Price Baiting & 3rd Parties.

Moving APT's tactic is to bait consumers with low-price quotes, which offer no transparency regarding the full moving process. They outsource the move to 3rd parties, and in our case, we had "All Around Van Lines" perform our move and it was a very poor experience. Countless up-charges for "too many stairs" and "too long of a distance from the truck to the door" or "extra tape" plus lots of damage in our rental home, including the wood floors and doors. Once Moving APT gets you to commit to a quote, they are no longer interested in being involved. They pass you off to deal with the movers directly, and any claims are also handled 3rd party. The company is a dishonest middle-man that uses inaccurate low-price quotes, then passes consumers off to poorly reviewed, unprofessional, and incompetent moving companies. DO NOT USE MOVING APT.

Long-distance move from Ashburn, VA to Aurora, CO

They take your money and run.

I had the worst experience ever with APT and I have moved a lot of times being an Army wife. This time I hired private movers hoping for a smooth experience. Brian, the sales representative was pleasant in taking down my inventory, following up and providing a quote. The quote was exactly what I was hoping for so I put down my deposit. When there was follow up from the customer experience team, there seemed to be a problem and my move was coming up in 2 days. I called Brian for resolution and he treated me as if I were stupid and was inconveniencing him. At this time they had $800 of mine and me trying to change a move 2 days prior would have been almost impossible. I felt stuck. The rep also told me to wrap my drawers up good in my dresser because the movers liked to go through any drawer easy to open. Moving forward, the movers came, got everything on the truck and told me that even though I was promised free stairs and free supplies, APT were liars and they were going to charge me. APT by the way are brokers.. they are 3rd party. So you will never meet anyone from the company. They hire actual moving companies so you are paying for 2. Not only did I get charged extra for items, once all of my belongings were on the truck, the driver told me my charge was doubled. I went from $2000 quoted to $4000, and he asked me what I would like to do.. what am I supposed to do? You already have all of my furniture on the truck. They showed up in a timely manner to deliver my items but stated they were not supposed to set anything up. I was at least able to talk them into putting my bed together and taking the TV out of the box. The delivery was the better experience of everything, although my patio chair was broken and there is not one person from that company who will bother to talk to me now. Please save yourself a lot of money and stress and hire local movers who can come to your house and assess your items to be shipped.

I appreciate how efficient and fast they are.

I've unfortunately used them 3x in 3 years due to how many places we have been in. That said..each time it is seamless and they are the best. Their pricing is competitive and they are just a great company from front to end. Again..5 Stars for each of the three moves. We also recommend them to anyone we know. I appreciate how efficient and fast they are and also customer service and tech friendly!

Nightmare.

ZERO stars. worst experience ever. was told by Brian the sales rep that my delivery would be immediate and all of my things would not come off truck that they were picked up on. I moved from PA to NC last week for work and was in need of specific times and dates for everything and now I have nothing. I left PA a day sooner than what I wanted b/c I thought I had to be here for my stuff to be delivered. When I called to try to figure anything out, Brian was no where to be found and no one was calling me back, he did however forward my email to someone else to reply to me though. I also called the carriers, they continue to tell me they don't understand why the sales dept would make such promises about delivery times. I was very hesitant with it being a holiday week that I would have my things in 2-3 days but Brian assured me time and time again that it would not be an issue. and here we are, a week later, and I won't have my things until maybe Sunday, it is a GIANT issue. And I've already paid way more than the quote he gave me and I still have to pay the last bit upon delivery? I DO NOT recommend this company.

Long-distance move from San Jose, CA to Las Vegas, NV

Worst Moving Company Possible, Negative 5 Stars.

I cannot give a low enough rating to Moving APT. They subcontract to someone who then subcontracts the actual movers who show up. Veeka claims she is your sales rep, you can call her anytime. Well you can call, just don't expect any answer ever. She will never return a phone call, text message, or email. Once she has your money you don't exist. Then there is the manager Lily who will say and or promise anything to get you off the phone. Everything she says is a lie, she does not intend to help you, she only wants you to hang up thinking she will in the future.

Moving is one of the most stressful things possible and this company will make sure to make it the worst. Keep in mind that any "contract" you sign with them are only suggestions and the actual sub-sub-contractors don't have to follow any of it. 1-10 days? Meh, could be 3-21, could be 9 months, who knows, Moving APT doesn't and they don't care. Also they are only in the office 9-5 Miami time. This means, if like me, you are on the West Coast and have a problem, well you have no one to call and too bad. They want to be a national company without national hours. Big move day shows up, some random sub-sub-contractor shows up, begins loading your things, what they are making you sign isn't what you agreed too, what you are being charged isn't what you agreed too, well too bad you are on your own. You can call them the next day and Lily will make sure to promise anything to you to get you off the line.

Ighly Recommended!

Same two gentlemen packed, moved and unpacked our belongings. EXTREMELY IMPRESSED with the care they showed while packing our items. All items arrived at our new home undamaged and without issue. The crew arrived on time each day and kept us informed of updates on the status of the move etc. They had time after unloading our goods and even started to help us unpack boxes. As someone who has moved on several occasions for work and utilized professional moving companies in the past, Moving APTis by far the best experience. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

I was so pleased with the service received from Moving APT. The containers were delivered in the morning and we had all day to pack them. I had a great experience with Moving APT and their Flexible move service, booked at the very last minute, they 'found' me a 20 foot container, communication was excellent, staff on pick up were excellent, storage in the receiving yard was safe and secure, delivery staff at the other end were very professional and friendly, really really excellent. I would have no problem using them again in the future, oh and they were cheaper than the other companies I looked at. 1st class, thank you.

Moving APT= SCAM.

My experience with Moving APT could not have been worse. I had checked them out and read some negative reviews but looked past the negatives as their quote was significantly lower than others. BAD MISTAKE!!
Veeka, the sales rep, disappears as soon as she takes your deposit. Any and all "managers" are unreachable. Moving APT brokers the service to moving companies who then broker it to movers. The movers then show up at you home and re-negotiate the price of the move which puts you into a precarious corner and makes the family desperate. My movers showed up 6 hours late. I had an estimated 18,000 cu.ft to move and their truck could only hold 4000. That's when they started re-negotiating the price. My price to move the household items went from $9600 (quoted by Moving APT) to $16,000. Moving APT was not available and were out of the picture (even though it was their bond). Since the moving van was so small, they took 4 trips over 3 days in moving our stuff into a storage unit. This means that the I had to delay my move/drive and by at the house each day.
After the stuff was moved to the storage, the movers held it captive for another payment of $3000 or else they were not going to reveal where the stuff was. Two months later, my stuff was still not delivered and I had to file a Police Report against the moving company to prevent the stuff from being auctioned off at the storage facility.
When my syuff finally arrived at our home, significant amount of goods were destroyed, broken and many of the boxes were missing. They even lost/stole at least two bicycles.

Moving APT blamed the entire ordeal on me with no help.
DO NOT USE THESE SCAM ARTISTS!!

Terrible Experience.

Lies. This company lies up one side and down the other. It cost us more than double what we were originally quoted. The drivers of the truck were decent people. We tipped them well. They were the ONLY decent element of this awful experience. APT was 4 DAYS LATE loading us. The owner of the home where we stayed called the city police on us because we were so late vacating, DUE TO APT! They kept my furniture in a truck driving all over the south for 7 days when we were told 3 days tops. I went to an empty house without furniture for all those days. We opted to stay in a hotel, and that WAS COSTLY. NEVER, NEVER use these people. WE will take them to small claims court over the excessive cost. $500 MORE than quoted. We added a few boxes and 1 bed and the cost increased by $500.

Do do Not Move With Moving Apt** You Will End up Paying Double to Hav.

We decided to use Moving APT over some of the other movers because of their tactic of pretty much bashing the other moving companies that were competing for the job. The top competition was Flat rate out of NY and I really wished I would have chosen them Moving APT Rep Shawn emailed me some of the complaints and bad reviews posted on line about Flat rate and my husband and I went with APT after Shawn explained to us how the other companies would quote much less then up charge us and hold our stuff until we paid. Well, guess what APT Moving is trying to do.. I now know that I should have known better and done my homework. Any company that is willing to tarnish another company’s reputation to that extreme is nothing but a rip of f themselves. We prepaid the move thinking that’s one bill out of the way BUT After everything was loaded and the movers left I got a call from the driver telling me that They are now up charging us $4500 for  extra “ Capacity” – WHEN WE HAVE NOT ADDED ONE ITEM TO THE LIST and "extra packing supplies." WHEN THE ORIGINAL QUOTE WAS FOR FULL PACKING. Obviously, there is no way to prove either one of those claims, or they told us they would not deliver our stuff until we paid. Since we were not prepared and did not have the cash money available we had to stay in a hotel for 2 weeks until we were able to come up with the money. They refused to accept any other type of payment but CASH. I notified the company that I do have cash on hand and they said that a truck would be leaving the next day and the delivery would be 2 days later. When the date of the delivery arrived no one contacted us I called and was told that the truck broke down and it will be another 2- 3 WEEKS. We felt as though we had no control and that they were actually doing this on purpose. They refused to get a manager or the owner on the phone and we had no money to seek legal help the people on the phone were careless rude obnoxious, unprofessional On the delivery date the driver showed up ALNOE my husband and I had to help unload all our items off the truck. We were shocked that many of the items were not on the truck. Our big screen was packed in its ORIGINAL BOX and that arrived EMPTY all electronics were gone. $4000 Temparpedic mattress gone, the other two mattress were so badly soiled we had to trash them as well ,Missing 15 Boxes and the other boxes were wet and contents damaged  . Furniture b roken. Later when we unpacked these boxes our clothes and were badly damaged full of Rat droppings and Mildew not much could be salvaged Although we purchased insurance and we filed a claim with Moving APT THEY ARE CLAIMMING THAT THEY ARE NOW ONLY A BROKER AND CAN NOT HELP US – they sold our job to a moving company that is no longer in business – I later found out that the movers they sold our job to were NEVER LICENSED In all they lost/ruined over $50,000 worth of belongings, some family heirlooms. Horrible horrible  company, experience. My Husband and I are now seeking legal options BUT WHAT EVER YOU DO DO NOT MOVE WITH MOVING APT** YOU WILL END UP PAYING DOUBLE TO HAVE EVERYTHING YOU OWN DESTROYED They are a scamming BROKER They should be shut down.

Blackmail.

I have never taken the time to write a review but I do not want any consumer to experience the HELL that I went through with Moving APT, Accurate Moving dba Platinum Van Lines. These organizations have mastered black mail by holding your personal belongings hostage to increase their fees. I have been a business owner for thirty years and have never experienced such blatant disregard for the consumer and good business.  It all started when I received a call from Adrian at Moving APT, he explained that at Moving APT once the moving fees are established there will be no additional charges. He also stated other moving Co. will increase their fees at time of delivery. He also conveyed to me that they offered 30 days of free storage if I need it. I explained that I did not have a residence presently in Los Angles, that’s a non-issue because of the thirty days of free storage. They sent me there estimate which stated 1 month of free storage. At that point I agreed to use their services. Here is where it gets interesting, moving day! My home is packed ready for the movers. The mover arrive with a gentleman that introduces himself as Mike the owner of Accurate Moving dba Platinum Van Lines. He then proceeds to begin to fill out a new contract and that the other contract from Moving APT was not accurate and he would need an additional $500.00. By this time ¾ of my personal belonging are loaded on the truck. I proceeded to call my assigned customer service rep Gina who tried to get this resolved. After 2 hours of debate and a lot of stress I agreed to pay their additional fees since they had my personal belongings loaded on the truck.  At that time I was assured by Mike at Accurate Moving dba Platinum Van Lines and Gina at Moving APT there would be no additional fees and just let them know when I find a residence. I arrived in LA on a Thursday and began my apartment search which is very difficult. It’s Saturday late afternoon and I receive a call from Mike at Accurate Moving dba Platinum Van Lines, he told me that his employee wants to deliver my furniture on Sunday. I explained that I have not found a residence. His response was you will be charged a re-delivery and storage fee, I explained to him my contract with Moving APT reads I have 30 days of free storage. Mike told me no free storage and to get my personal belonging I must pay the additional fees. I proceeded to call Moving APT with no response. On Monday I receive a call from Gina at Moving APT and she assured me there will be no additional fees because of their 30 free storage which is stated in my agreement. Five days later I procure an apartment, I call my rep Gina at Moving APT to make her aware of my new address. She said that I would be place on the delivery schedule. One week later I receive a call from the driver of the moving truck to schedule delivery. He then proceeded to tell me about the balance due of $901.00 that was on the contract and a redelivery and storage fee of $500.00. I proceeded to call Gina to find out why this was not resolved, while I was dialing another call came in from a second driver explaining he was the driver and now the balance due was $901.00 plus $500.00 plus additional $270.00. He also stated to get my personal belonging he would need to be paid in cash. The review you have just read is the definition of blackmail. PLEASE DO NOT USE Moving APT, Accurate Moving dba Platinum Van Lines it is hazardous to your health.  Just a side note, My furniture look like it went through a washing machine, Lamps broken or missing.      .

Long-distance move from Washington to Georgia

As good as it gets!!

As good as it gets!!   I recently moved from Seattle, WA to Atlanta, GA and everythihg went smoothly until I got to Atlanta and didn't know where my things were. I called Moving APT and asked where my stuff was but he didn't have an answer for me, granted I called at 7p EST.  He said he would get back to me tomorrow once he hears from the dispatcher.  Saturday, came and he did not receive a response from the dispatcher so he said he'd call me Monday.  Monday, came and no call so I called Tuesday and I got vcml.  Wednesday, came and I call Moving APT again and get vcml but on that Wednesday, a man from the moving company called me and said he'd be in Atlanta on Saturday with my stuff.  Saturday came and he was on time.  He was here with my stuff, he put all of my belongings where they needed to be and I couldnt have been more pleased.   They weren't forthright and honest when it came down to delivery of my things but when they did deliver it, it was nothing but professionalism all the way.  I don't know if I'll use them again but they did a fine job!! The only thing they need to work on is the communication between the dispatcher and the customer.  As a customer, I just want to know when my stuff is getting to the location. If there's ahod up, that's fine..just keep the customers informed.   I had no hidden fees, no nothing.  All I can say is that they did a GREAT job,  I may have had to wait a few days but I'm extremely pleased with the outcome.  Thank you, Moving APT and your deleveiry drivers. .
