Mission Moving

We scheduled our move with this company giving them seven weeks to "find a carrier", which they were unable to do. They are keeping our deposit (close to $800) even though they admit that they broke the contract. Days of phone calls with many lies from this company. There is no penalty for this company if they fail to meet the contract as their deposit is non-refundable under any circumstances. I recommend finding a different company. These guys may be less than others because they do not have to actually perform the move to make money as they can keep your deposit whether they perform the move or not. If it is important to you that you be moved on the day that you contract to move, please be aware that they are not obligated to meet that agreement. We were told, "you can put your household goods in storage and we may be able to offset some of your costs." I never write bad reviews but I hope that sharing my experience with you will help you to make a better choice.

Originally quoted one reasonable price, then when we added just a few more boxes, the price went up $1200! We were told to have 2 money orders -one for the

pickup, one for the delivery. THEN they were 10 hours late - picking up. They then added an additional $1200 of charges but at this point - at 9pm on a Saturday night - we had no choice but to agree to pay so we could get our furniture at the delivery end. This is a predatory company - DO NOT USE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE!!!!!

I moved from NY to Florida.

I was not told that it would take 7 to 10 days from the date I wanted it delivered. The rep just keep saying tell them asap.

Well I found out about the the 7 -10 day window when I called asking for a delivery date as it had been over 10 days and I hadn't gotten a phone call with a date.

So today is now day 12 FROM the 7-10 day window from the delivery date of 1/21.... I called and was told well, its stored in NJ and if they haven't left yet they just had a big snow storm.

Well yes I know there was a snow storm, but my stuff should have ALREADY left NJ as its now 12 days... should have been here 2 days ago before the nor-easter hit the east coast.

I was told that they would have someone call me back today. Its now 7:30pm and i have not gotten a call.

The communication is excellent when they are collecting your money, but when you need to find out about the company they contracted to move your stuff you get nothing.

Would not recommend this company to anyone.

I am retired military and I must say this move without doubt was the the most expensive move I have ever made in my life. I have had so many items lost or broken. I was lied to and cheated. I was charged for storage $750 because they could not logistically get the job done. My military brothers and sister BE AWARE of the supper scam. They gave me a number to call and file a claim, when I called to file the claim the company said they didn't work with Mission Moving LLC or IMovers. They gave me a guaranteed price, which was less that half of what I ended up paying. They don't deserve a rating because they worst than a one star.

Move size: 3 Bedroom Home Service cost: $14470

Do not use this company, unless you do not care about responsiveness, accuracy, or honesty. This company is an agent, not a licensed mover.

When their crew finally arrived to pick up and pack my furniture, they came in an unmarked truck, were not prepared to pack, questioned the accuracy of the packing list, wanted to count all the articles, before loading, instead of loading and counting, and lastly wanted $9500.00+ up front for full shipment coverage, which I did not authorize.

Refused to load because of the above, spent 90 minutes arguing the above issues.

Finally, told them to get out, I would not allow them to touch my belongings.

I filed a complaint with the credit card company, they denied my claim, stating that the company's agents showed up and were ready to pack and pick up my furniture. No regard for the above issues.

It now appears that credit card issuers are not there to protect their customers, but, to protect other businesses.

Mission Moving, will probably refute these claims. Check their ratings.

A sad commentary on how business is now conducted.

Biggest mistake I could have made, calling Mission Moving! Horrible experience, trying to move my elderly parents from PA to FL. They gave us a pick-up window of 11/9/20 and 11/10/20. Movers never showed up. I called Misson Moving and they assured me pickup would be 11/11, then 11/12...no movers. Could not reach ANYONE from Mission Moving, no one would answer my calls or texts. I was left with my 80 and 82 yr old medically compromised parents sitting here with all of their belongings packed up, with no movers in sight and no way of contacting anyone from Mission Moving. Was forced to rent a U-Haul and move them ourselves. And this scam company still gets their $1444 for "services rendered"--unbelievable. Fraudulent company. Terrible communication, horrible customer service, their business is trapping people in a contract and providing NOTHING IN RETURN. Mission Moving---it is their MISSION to rob you blind, and trust me, they'll fulfill that mission! Check out the YELP reviews also! And they get a "D" rating with Better Business Bureau. DISGUSTING.
