Scam Company

Do not work with this scam company. They operate under different names like Pacific Van Lines, Mega Van Lines, and other companies like that. More specifically, their operations manager Steven Shelly is a horrible person to work with. Do not do business with them as they have scammed me out of over $1300 for work I provided to them. I do not recommend working with this company at all.

Great experience!

This is great moving company! When my family and I decided to move to Virginia we knew having a 2 year old we would need a moving company. AEY was one of the first companies we spoke to and really stood out to us, no pressure into making the reservation immediately and encouraged us to collect other quotes.

After speaking with a few other moving companies AEY was not the cheapest but they always answered our phone calls and had the answers to all our questions as they came up. This made us feel comfortable so we made a deposit and set up our move.

Let’s just say everything went so smooth with them it was like a dream, they reached out to us a week before pick up going over all details of the move and adjusted our inventory and then on pick up day showed up in the window they promised and ten days later everything showed up to our brand new home in Virginia.

We have recommended them to a few family members that are moving soon and would recommend them to anyone I meet. Thank you for helping us get our family moved in.

These guys were awesome!

You can tell from start to finish AEY's crew was highly trained, I used them to help a friend move to Florida and at pick up they knew exactly how to handle all the furniture and boxes. Had the entire home packed and loaded in about 4 hours! Just recommended this company to my employer for all our future moves. Give these guys a call and ask for Mike, he was my coordinator.

NEVER BOOK AEY LOGISTICS.

I can’t believe this warrants another update: My TV is SHATTERED. My bed is BROKEN. My shelves, mirror, garbage can NEVER ARRIVED.

Update: AEY Logistics have CONTINUED to make this the worst possible experience of my life. Since writing my original post, it has only gotten worse. I write this now as their semi truck finally arrived and is sitting outside my apartment. Charging me an extra $200 because they have to walk more steps, despite it being late. MY BOXES ARRIVED DAMAGED, TWO VERY IMPORTANT ITEMS LISTED ON THEIR INVENTORY NEVER ARRIVED. I asked the driver what I was to do about my missing items, response; “call aey.” My belongs are broken or missing. I’m absolutely crushed. The drivers of the truck have been rude and demanding. This has been the worst experience of my entire life. I urge people to NEVER BOOK WITH AEY.

Am currently in a living hell dealing with AEY logistics. They have had my belongings for a month, and during this month have been impossible to get a hold of. For 20 days I had no idea where my belongings were, they finally told me that it was in Las Vegas, as I’ve been moving from AZ to the east coast. They have given me multiple dates for expected delivery. No show. Instead, they called that it would be another extra week because their drivers ‘decided not to drive this weekend.’ I booked AEY genuinely thinking they would make my move easier, not harder. This has been the most stressful and worrisome month of my life. Still waiting on their customer support to call me back after promising they would. Doesn’t seem like my phone will be ringing anytime soon

Long-distance move from Warren, RI to Nashville, TN

Do Not Use AEY

WARNING SCAMMERS!!!! DO NOT USE. Everything insured would not happen while on the phone with Janet from AEY Logistics happened. I was told a semi-truck would come to my house in RI with dividers and bring my belongings to my new house in Nashville and it rarely takes more than 12 days. I was told they communicate with the drivers and with the moving company on behalf to ensure everything goes smoothly. That is not the case. They talk up being BBB certified however they higher Allstate Moving a company that is not BBB accredited and has horrible reviews and use an insurance company CSI that has a 1 star review.

I was charged $1,300 for 40 large boxes that I did not have. How many boxes I have was not even in the contract, cubic feet are. Allstate held my belongings in storage for over a month and they would not tell me when they were bringing. They told me a truck would be coming my way in 3-5 days every time I checked in for over a month. At first they said they were holding my belongings to count and couldn’t give me a delivery date until they do a recount. I put in BBB review because AEY wasn’t helping me they just said we’ll look into it every time I called and then never called me back. Natalie from Allstate who told me she was holding my boxes to count and, I have it in voicemail, called me a liar and told me she wasn’t going to help me and I should higher a different company to come get my belongings. I’m also pretty sure Allstate and AEY tried to trick me into holding my delivery while I travel for my grandfather’s funeral. They made it seem like they were doing me a favor but when I caught on and asked are you going to charge me for not delivering while I travel and they said they weren’t sure.

It all started at 7pm on 7/20 a white box truck with a paper sign taped to the side of it pulled up to my house in RI. As they loaded the truck, they said they think I will be over boxes. I said that is impossible I counted everything exactly over the phone while reviewing inventory with my AEY rep. I texted my AEY representative that did inventory with me and he said they just have to say that it’s nothing to worry about. After all of my belongings were on the truck it was 9pm and the mover told me I was over 40 large boxes. I didn’t even have 40 large boxes to begin with so I argued with him for a good 5 minutes. As he became obviously frustrated and 2 large men were standing outside of my door I realized I had to pay them the extra money. They quickly had me sign several papers not explaining that I was signing an entirely different contract than what I had with AEY.

The next day I was able to get in contact with a service representative at AEY. He gave me an email to send the documents to and insured me he would take care of it. I emailed several times to see what was going on. It wasn’t until I sent a video of me arguing with the driver I had from my porch camera that I actually received a call. The call was from Allstate representative Natalie. Allstate informed me they were holding my belongings in storage and needed to count my boxes before delivering. I told them I need to plan travel for a funeral 8/13 and Natalie from Allstate told me it would take her crew at least 5 days to get a chance to count everything and that they are very busy. I called AEY crying that I had to plan travel for a funeral and not only am I being scammed out of $1,300 they are holding my belongings and won’t give me an ETA. AEY said we’ll figure out what is going on and call you back, however, like usual they never called me back.

I filed a BBB claim against AEY because they weren’t helping me and now they are having me communicate directly with Allstate instead of working on my behalf. The next day at 8:30 am I received a call from Natalie from Allstate. She went off on me and made it clear she was going to make my move as difficult as possible and that it would be better if I just higher another moving company to complete my move.

Knowing I had to travel for a funeral and they gave me a date for when they knew I would be traveling.I realized they could charge me for not being available for delivery I told them I would change my travel plans for my grandfather’s funeral to meet the truck and immediately after they told me the truck fell through. I think they were trying to scam me a second time because the AEY rep told me don’t worry we won’t let them deliver when you are away and when I asked am I going to have to pay for this he said I don’t know. I called him out on trying to trick me into paying more to hold my delivery and I want my belongings.

It took them until 8/26 to bring my belongings. They stacked mangled boxes up in my living room and rushed out I have a warped mattress a cracked tv stand and several broken items.

Excellent Work!!

Our crew was led by James and they did a great job. They were punctual, quick, cautious and polite throughout! It was a tough job especially on a hot day but they did not fret. Their website provides live crew tracking on the day of arrival which is really cool for a moving company. I would absolutely recommend AEY Logistics to anyone looking for a solid mover at a great price.

Smooth Move!

Totes-on-demand was excellent with my move. The guys were great, friendly, and with a good attitude about everything. They finished in less time than projected, were careful to wrap all furniture and delicate pieces extremely cautiously. All I can tell you if you need help moving if you hire a different company than Anthony and AEY Logistics, you made a HUGE mistake, in my opinion.

Worst experience of my life

DO NOT use AEY. They sounded great when I originally spoke with Jake, but this turned out to be an awful, nightmare of an experience. I spoke with someone on the phone about an estimate, even measured EVERY SINGLE box I had, went over every piece of furniture in detail, and still, when the actual movers showed up, they said it was going to be double what was estimated. This was on top of saying they needed to charge me extra to pack my TV and my stand up mirror and the fact that I had to pay in cash or money order.

My things were supposed to arrive on Saturday (after a Thursday pick-up), but I never heard from the driver. I called that afternoon to find out that the truck was supposedly broken down. I called AEY and was told I'd get a call back about when my things would arrive. I never got one, so I called back and by Monday afternoon, STILL had not heard back so I called again. No one seemed to know what I was talking about, but the guy said he'd call back when he had details. Once again, no one called back, so I called again and finally found out my things would arrive first thing Tuesday. My things arrive and, lastly, the driver brings my dining room chair in with the leg duct taped on. When I asked what happened , he said it fell when they were loading it. I took the tape off and the leg fell completely off. The back of the chair was also busted. I looked at the rest of my furniture, only to find that almost every piece of my furniture was damaged and my food processor and leaf to my table were missing. The driver said I had to call AEY, so I did. I was told that they would contact the company that did the move. Again, I never got a call back, so I called two days later, only to find out they had no idea what I was calling about and that I needed to contact the movers. So I did, giving a detailed claim via email, with pictures, of the damage, only to be told that I have cats and so some of the damage was probably from them and that I signed saying there was no damage to my things, which I have no copy of. At this point, I know I will not be receiving any compensation and any calls I make will be a waste of breath. I just hope that others will go elsewhere. I will also be filing a complaint with the BBB and I encourage others to do the same. AEY has absolutely no customer service and they don't care if you give negative feedback because they've already scammed you out of your money.

Absolutely horrible

Just wanna let you know this is the worst move of my life. I had no clue you were a “broker” & that the Guys who showed up actually work for a different company. Today had been awful.

I’m not sure how you live with yourself. Your company took $2500 from me which was wayyy more than any other company needed but I assumed that was to make today the most stress less move of my life.

I feel swindled by you & your company. I’ve been left alone all day with no help.

THIS IS NOT A MOVING COMPANY BUT A BROKER. YOY WILL PAY THEM BUT THEN ANOTHER MOVING COMPANY WILL SHOW UP & UPCHARGE YOU! DO NOT TRUST AEY!

Bad experience, ghosted and they still have my stuff!

Truly terrible experience with AEY. I had two separate phone calls where I inventoried every single item I was moving, and when the movers arrived they told me my total would be double the amount I was quoted. The mover told me he was “required by law” to charge me a fee for having a long hallways, but that he wouldn’t write it in if I would give him a big tip. He refused to take four furniture items that were included in my inventory. When I spoke to an AEY representative (Edwin) on the phone, he said this was a third party company and he would get it cleared up immediately. That was five days ago. I’ve sent emails and called several times and can’t get an update on my delivery, final bill, or current location of all of my belongings. I would encourage anyone looking for a moving company to look elsewhere.

Nightmare Move Experience

AEY completely screwed me over. They promised delivery by a certain date. I flew cross-country to be there, but it didn't come. Our move ended up being 2 weeks late. My mother had to pay out of pocket for a hotel. Then the movers did not unpack as agreed in our contract. I asked for a billing adjustment, and AEY offered $200 off a nearly $6,000 move. They had countless opportunities to make things right before I wrote this review - I even offered to write a positive one if they made me whole for additional expenses I incurred. Mistakes happen, that's what customer service is for. But they refused. Do yourself a favor and use a reputable moving company.

Beware of AEY Logistics

Beware of AEY Logistics!!!

I recommend a very detailed research about this company before contracting them so you don't have the same bad and terrible experience we had with them. We feel we were scammed. It is our personal experience, it doesn't mean it will be your experience too. But my advice is simple: Beware!

AEY, they are brokers, so they are a third party company that acts as a moving coordinator between you and the moving company (the actual carrier). That's ok. BUT, in our experience with AEY, this company, they give you a quote with a much lower price than the price they know the actual movers (carrier company) will charge you. How they do it? You provide them a list of your inventory items and they give you a quote where the price is based on the cubic feets that your stuff would occupy on the truck. They underestimate the cubic feets so the price shown would be much less that the actual real price you'll get when the movers, on the actual moving date, verify the quote. In this way they get the business from you because they are "offering" a "very competitive price" and the price appears to be lower than other companies!!! But is not!!!! In our case, they estimated 528 cubic feets when the real cubic feets were 800. Original estimate was $2,618 and the real price was $3,978. $1,360 more than the original price. And our stuff (only 50 items) were mostly boxes and we provided them the actual exact measures weeks before the moving date. And this situation is incredible because I sent an email to Dan, the salesperson, asking if the quote could change during carrier pickup and he answered the email saying that "the only way the quote could change is if you add or eliminate items from the inventory". And we didn't do any changes. And 2 weeks before the moving date Tommy from Quality Assurance called us and we sent him an email with our inventory and final count of boxes. Tommy said they do the QA to assure they separate the needed space on the truck and "avoid you extra charges". OMG, Dan and Tommy! In our personal experience with this company AEY Logistics, if you need a solution for a situation like this, they will avoid you and they will not be answering your calls or providing a solution.

I asked to talk with the Customer Service supervisor, they told me it was Jeff. He could not help. I asked for his supervisor. He said that the supervisor was Edwin. But when I spoke with Edwin he said that he was the Operations Manager and that he was going to provide a solution because he was the decision maker in the company. Then, when Edwin disappeared after told me he was going to call me next day, I spoke with Olivia and she said that Jeff was not the Customer Service supervisor (I should have known that!, he was supposed to be the Customer sservice manager, you know customer service skills!, but Olivia said he was someone from Dispatch. I'm also confused because in a business social network said that the Operations Manager is Steve Shelly and not Edwin. And Edwin identified Mr. Shelly as the owner. So, I tried to contact the owner thru that business social network but he didn't answer.

I would never recommend this "company" to anybody. In my experience, once they get the business, they disappear. 0 stars to Sales, 0 stars to Customer Service, 0 stars to Quality Assurance and 0 stars to Operations.

Stay Away From

No way to give a negative rating.

Contacted AEY to move from SC to Ohio. Gave exact description to them of items to be shipped. Exact. The price given was great.

They asked for appx 50 percent down. When driver showed up he bumped the price up over a $1000 more. He reminded me AEY gives an estimate, but they broker out the shipments and he isn't employed by AEY. Had to be out the next day because of selling home so they had me. Then upon delivery he wanted another $1000, he had our furniture. We got into an argument on the phone with the shipper about raising the price. Told him that we would call AEY about it,,, He again told us he doesn't work for AEY.

After laying out over $5500 dollars for this scam, the driver wouldn't unload till we paid the balance of $1300 appx not including $5581 already given . Don't do business with carriers like this. We asked for the washer and dryer to be taken to the basement, driver said his discretion, No. Even after Calling AEY about it. We had to get someone to take downstairs. When bringing items in I had to use furniture polish on the buffet and other items to cover scratches, coffee table, scratches in flooring, etc.

Be smart, higher a shipper that does it all. Their price might be higher in the beginning, but by the time you get done with AEY and their Broker shippers ,you'll be better off. Fact.

They stole my money and now their phones are disconnected

What other's have said unfortunately I didn't find these until AFTER. Guarantee a price that you pay 1000.00 for. don't show up on the scheduled day and when they do they inflate the cubic feet by 50% and the price with it. I measured EVERYTHING and know exactly what I had. did not add anything. But then they say there's nothing they can do . And the movers they sent??? I wouldn't trust to move my old pair of Target gym shoes. I sent them away. Called AEY to stick to their end of the bargain or refund my deposit. They've disconnected their phones and I'm out 680.00. I also now know they have 12 Federal complaints against them in the last 7 months. Why did the Fed's let them continue to scam people? Anyway, stay away from these "brokers". Most of them are scammers. Do your homework better than I did.
