BUYER BEWARE!!

My husband and I used this company to help us move from our 3 bedroom townhouse to a new home about 15 miles away. The company gave us a quote of $105/hour for 3 men to come move our things. The website promises that all of their movers are employees of the company and have had 3 months of moving/safety training. They also promise to send out uniformed employees that give courteous service and work 60 min/hr with no breaks.

However, on the day of our move, Milestone Relocation Solutions sent us 3 day laborers. The company never told us they would be sending non-employees. We only found out through casual conversation with the guys in the middle of our move that they did not actually work for the company but were independent contractors. They were plain clothed and showed up in an unmarked moving truck. Since we had to move that day, we had no choice but to continue the move.

After 14.5 grueling hours of instructing them on how to load the truck, watching them damage our furniture, scratch our banister, knock a hole in our wall, drop our 36" TV, drop our boxes while trying to load them on the hand truck, take smoke breaks, curse loudly, and talk on their cell phones, we were at our wits end. Our move started at approximately 10am and did not end until 12:30am that night. Part of the problem was that they brought a truck that was more suitable to move a one bedroom apartment rather than a 3 bedroom home. The movers assured us the truck would be adequate, but when they realized they needed a larger truck, they did not call their supervisor to have a larger truck sent out. They ended up having to make two trips, which tacked on 2 hours to our move, which, of course, we were charged for.

A move that should have taken 6-7 hours ended up taking more than twice as long. We were charged $1536 for the entire time - untrained day laborers, smoke breaks, lunch breaks, damaged furniture and all. We stopped payment immediately and also reported our dissatisfaction and damages to the company and Better Business Bureau two weeks ago.

The company has yet to respond to our complaint. When I called the company about it, the response I got from Jim Pello was "Well, I was out of town this past weekend, so I don't know what happened." Ummm, I don't care if you were out of town. Give me an apology and rectify the damage! Mr. Pello instructed me to send him our documentation of the damages, which I did along with a letter outlining the terrible service and false advertising we were given. No response. None. Nada. Zip.

If you are looking for a moving company, STAY AWAY FROM MILESTONE!! Pay a few more bucks an hour and go with a more reputable company.

I submitted a move request on line and received 6 estimates.  Quickly is was narrowed to 3 movers and the final decision was made based on the first to get back to me on the schedule I wanted.  This was a short notice move and this company was able to confirm quickly with a schedule where the others had to get back to me after checking with someone else.  Right away it gave me the sense that this mover was in control and would give me the best service.  While the other movers in consideration were trying to figure out their schedules and give me firm dates and times,  I contracted and set up the pick up.   The crew arrived on the very end of the window, but, were on time and were courteous, clean, and took very good care of my belongings.  After a quick review of what was being moved they went to work and quickly loaded the truck.  They followed me to the new location and unloaded just as quickly.  The move was finished 20 minutes under the alloted time I budgeted for so I was very pleased.  I would use this mover again.

I would not recommend this company at all--NOT EVER.  Despite our providing a detailed list of the things to be moved, they sent two small trucks,  instead of the size we requested, and two movers who were slow and unable to handle the move.  We had previous movers put furniture in storage from a 2 story home--which took 4 hours to wrap, load and unload.  All these movers had to do was move the same things out of storage onto the truck, no steps involved, yet it took them almost 5 hours just to load the trucks. When the movers said they had to go put gas in the trucks so they could drive to the delivery address, I called to complain and the person I talked to said he was hanging up on me because he doesn't talk to angry customers since that's the dispatcher's job.  I left my name and number and received no response.  I called a 2nd time and left a message and about an hour later, got a return call and was told they would contact the person who scheduled the move and have him call me.  Needless to say, I never heard from him and got neither a discount for a move that took 5 hours longer than the estimate they provided nor a call to apologize for the horrible inconvenience.  I did get a broken lamp, broken cookie jar, a corner cracked and broken on my china cabinet and a long gouge in the foyer of the rental home I moved into.  As mentioned, I would not recommend this company at all--NOT EVER!!

First off my move was scheduled for pickup between 7:30am-8:30am. My movers didn't arrive until 10:00am which I give a pass to because it was raining slightly and I can understand being delayed. So during the loading of the truck one of the guys comes in and says "Hey you know that TV stand is not insured right", which was ok with me at the time because it was an old stand anyway so I thought nothing of it. Later I came to the realization that the TV stand was delivered to my new place broken which brings me to the conclusion that it was broken during the actual loading of the truck which is why he mentioned that lol.

The only other issue I had was that they left 3 items of mine on their truck and I had to basically call them multiple times that day to even get a response of when they would be delivering the rest of my things. That was the point in which I think they lost me as a future customer because I feel like I should've been the one getting called multiple time by them since I paid for a service. They ended up working it out and being very courteous and returning the rest of my things so it worked out OK just had a shaky point. Overall I would recommend them I would just say MAKE SURE YOU GET ALL OF YOUR ITEMS!

I used milesotone relocation team in 2012 during a long distance move and my experience was good. so thought of using them again this time round 2014 for a local move. The movers arrived on-time and instead of 2 guys they sent 3 guys (without charge) as I said I have 2 heavy recliners. They took great care in maintaining the condition of delicate item being moved. They had all the equipment necessary to execute the move and used enough balnket to cover delecate itemsn. Had a great experience.  .

I had the a wonderful experience with my crew and helper Jonathan and Shaquille they were very professional and worked at a steady pace to ensure our move was a success. I called on a Saturday and was able to get them the following Monday. When Monday arrived they showed up on time and five hours later my move was complete with no accidents or broken items. I will definitely use Milestone Relocation Service again and have already begun telling my friends and family about them. Thanks again, Michael Jackson.

Milestone came highly recommended to me by a friend.  The salesperson was very courteous when scheduling my move and answered all of my questions.  He was also very prompt with answering questions via email.  The movers called me on schedule before arriving, loaded all of items with care but also worked quickly.    All of the items were unloaded quickly with care and placed in the new location.  Both movers were very friendly and did not complain about carrying furniture up three flights of stairs.    .
