Milestone Relocation Solutions.

Milestone got the job done.
I had a small move consisting of a master bedroom. Not only did my movers arrive on time but they called me 30 minutes before arrival to tell me they were on their way. The men were friendly, hard working and efficient. They got to work immediately and the move went smoothly.
The truck was nothing special to look at but that did not interest me. Bottom line was the bedroom got moved in an efficient manner with no damage. I would hire them again.

Do no use Milestone!

Simply stated Milestone employees are rookies in the moving game and do not do any of the services they claim. The movers they sent me were terrible. They immediately got their rental truck stuck in my yard and then they began loading without using any sort of protective moving materials. From there the rest is downhill..

They ripped couches jamming them through doorways and they also sweat all over our items since they didn't use any sort of protective material while moving. I would look anywhere else and pay a bit more since this is a waste of money for the service you receive. They are con artists who leverage a bait and switch technique to make your feel comfortable and then your movers show up and you realize you got what you paid for.

After they ripped our largest couch the movers denied it and the company still has not followed up with my about reimbursement. Look elsewhere!

Milestone Relocation Is The Best.

I had a great experience with T and Tyris! They moved me out of my old apartment and into my new apartment in less then 2 hrs including travel. I just brought my all of my furniture so I was a little worried about moving it so soon, however, T and Tyris took amazing care of it and moved me out and in without incident! I would highly recommend them! Thanks guys!!

Liked them so much the first time, I used them again.

I used Milestone to move my house into storage a few months ago. They were great - fast, professional and friendly. I was especially pleased how easily they handled my last minute request to change my move date.

I had such a great experience I used them to move me into my new house. Same guys. Same great job. They even finished in under the minimum time.

I would use them again, and recommend them to anyone.

Moving!

If you need a moving company, Milestone is by far the best! I've moved several times and this is hands down best moving company I've ever used! The crew they sent were right to business. We were moving because we were forced due to mold and to say the least I was panicking, but they were not only professional, they were super friendly. I was honestly worried because they were so much lower in price than most I called, but it was perfect. I honestly wouldn't us anyone else!

Moving 3 bedroom home.

These guys sent us a subcontracted father and son team. Although they shorted us a mover, they were awesome! The cost was $504.96 and it took them 2.5 hours. We have a butt load of stuff! They never once sat down or took a break. It only took them 40 minutes to load up our 10×20 unit then drive time was 40 minutes to our new house. These guys were more dependable than our own family and "friends"!

Awesome company.

I recently moved from Maryland to Ashburn. I called several moving services, and got the usual run-around. They either couldn't do it because it was "too small", had many hidden charges, or the best one was their quoted price on the phone was twice the advertised price on their web site! Their explanation was that that site probably wasn't really them. Anyway, I called Milestone, and was pleasantly surprised by an articulate, polite and straight forward quote. They said that they would accomodate any size move, and delineated fees, time frame, policy right up front. There were no surprises! Contract e-mailed, and, no up front fee, just a credit card number to hold the date and time. A follow up e-mail and courtesy call were given. Moving day, the drivers called and said they were running a little late. They were very polite, professional, and apologetic. I said that was fine, my fiance and I would have time to go out to lunch. They called before we got back from lunch, and told us they were in the driveway. Anyway, the actual moving experience was sublime. Professional, polite, friendly, well spoken ( not the usual mumbled grunts I have gotten with other movers). And wow, talk about hustle! Super fast, and not one item was damaged. Just perfect. One more thing . . . when they had finished with the truck, they saw my fiance struggeling with boxes from her car. They grinned at eachother, walked up to her car, and asked if she would let them help her!! They took hr boxes, and ran all of them up to the apartment so as not to go into overtime! So, bottom line, nearly half the price of any other company, no hidden charges, pure professionalism. My movers Kashawn and Lee were the absolute bomb! I rate this move a 25 out of a possible 10!!

Smooth Move - Great Experience!

Dallas and Lee were AMAZING! They arrived 15 minutes early, and the move which was quoted to take at least 3 hours took about 2.5. What's more, they treated our belongings respectfully and carefully, and kept me from being stressed out by their great combination of professionalism and humor. Seriously loved these guys and I hope they can help us with our next move (in 10 years or so).

Do Not Use This Company!!

I had a move scheduled 6 months in advance, 15 minutes before the moving crew were supposed to be at my apartment the movers call me and tell me, I'm going to have to reschedule my move! The mover informed me they don't work in the rain and proceeded to tell me how it was down pouring were I was living. NO RAIN IN MY ARE! In fact, the rain didn't start until 4 hours later! That was plenty of time to do the small amount of moving I had since, there was no furniture involved! After going back and forth with this guy, he gets mad and inform me, "LADY, WE AIN'T MOVING YOU! And hung up the phone! I called the main number only to get an equally as rude person telling me they are going to have to reschedule. I tell her I can't because, I have to be out TODAY! The woman tells me she is through this conservation and hangs up! A few hours later I call back to see if they can send someone else to move me, because I can't find someone to move me yet and the lady tells me, Oh! They are on their way and will be calling you when they are about 20 minutes out. I'm STILL waiting for that call! Thank God, I was able to find a moving company that was nice enough to move me on short! Save your money, time, and frustration! GO TO ANOTHER MOVING COMPANY!!

They crashed into my car!

While on the clock for my move, Milestones crew (or should I say the third party guys they contracted out for my move) side swiped my car which was parked in my yard at the new house. I was inside my new place at the time, not in the yard so I didn’t see it with my own two eyes. Once I saw it a few moments later and asked the movers about the damage (front bumper torn off, mirror torn off, scratches and paint) they denied having done it and said it must have been a hit in run. Keep in mind this all happened within a ten minute span on a small side street while they were outside the entire time. I called the police who of course matched the damage on my car to the matching damage on their moving truck. The police confirmed to me that there was no possible way that the moving crew was unaware of the damage they had caused. The insurance exchange form done by the police was filled out and the moving crew left the insurance info of Budget Moving Co. rather than their own information. The week long nightmare that ensued trying to speak with someone who would help me file an insurance claim so that Milestone would pay for my undrivable vehicle probably took years off my life. On a corporate level, a marketing director named Brian (I think) claimed that they were not responsible because while yes I had hired Milestone as my moving company they had only “arranged” for the third party, Moving Logistics LLC, to conduct my move. Interesting considering all the email confirmations I received and my moving receipt came from Milestone! Finally after tears, arguing, begging and pleading with at least four different individuals within the company I worked with a nice woman named Margaret who did agree that they would pay for my rental car and the damages that they had done to my vehicle. I did in the mean time receive a phone call from the driver of my crews GIRLFRIEND asking what had happened. She was nice, but the fact they gave out my personal contact information to someone not an employee of either company cannot be ethical! While I was calling around for a week trying to sort out who would take responsibility I did rent a car from enterprise in good faith that they would do the right thing and pay for it. I am single and drive myself to work everyday without the option of a partner to give me a ride so I needed a vehicle. I put the max insurance on the rental car (wasn’t feeling too lucky). Milestone/Moving Logistics refused to pay for this insurance and nickel and dimed me on the final bill to the point where they figured out that 8 dollars in taxes was part of the insurance and deducted that from their final settlement with me. Talk about cheap considering I paid over 300 for my “small move special” and gave a 40 dollar tip to their drivers (prior to me realizing they had just completely screwed up my car). Never once through the month long process of getting this settled did anyone from Milestone corporate call to apologize for what had occurred, offer me anything to make me a happier Customer or do a single thing to make this right. They paid the bare minimum of what was required and never offered me a refund or partial refund on the move. This company is unethical, not customer service oriented and contracts with small third party companies who are not insured (from what I can tell). And their drivers are not honest clearly! I would stay away.

Garbage company.

Cancelled my move at the time they were supposed to arrive, blaming inclement weather. It has not rained for the past hour and only drizzled before that. No flooding anywhere. No policy offered through whole process until after they cancelled on me. When I called the office, the director, Erik Pendleton, threatened me if I interrupted him, screamed at me, and refused to tell me the name of a supervisor or let me talk to my move coordinator, who was actually professional. Then he hung up on me. Thank you Milestone. Moving is not a big deal at all. I do not see how you are in business if you cancel at the first drop of rain, attack customers, and no one has any accountability. This company is a legitimate nightmare.

Grateful and Satisfied Customer.

After my client's mover friends failed to show for her relocation, I called several movers for last-minute help. Only Milestone Relocation Solutions was able to fit my client into their schedule. I am so glad they did. I, along with my client, was quite pleased with their service. The movers were very cooperative, helpful in managing every detail, and in providing professional service.

There was regular contact with the dispatcher and assurance that the movers would arrive. They did a great job.

Horrible Disaster.

First time - 4 rooms and a garage, 4 hours $475 - So I used them again - MISTAKE -5 rooms 1500 sq ft house - 10 hours and two trips, $1500. I also has to obtain a truck to finish what they did not take.
Every piece of my brand new bedroom set damaged, new SS Frig numerous scratches and dents. Washer drain pan broken in many places.
I called and was told "the movers will be reprimanded" . Reprimanding the movers does not compensation for all the damage.
Top top it off. I was unable to turn in the keys on time - $100 fee
My mother who is 80 was in tears after seeing all the damage, the final bill- and double charging her credit card and the ungratefulness of the fast food sub sandwiches she provided them.

Do Not Use This Company - Fraud.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! This company is one big scam. Richard Gordon, whom I booked my move with, is the biggest scam artist. As is the supervisor in the VA office, Christine. They overcharged after sending two movers instead of three. I've called so many times. I've left Richard three voicemails, three emails; and whoever the supervisor there is won't return any of my calls either. The supervisor refuses to pay me the difference in the fraudulent charge. I'm still dealing with this entire hassle THREE MONTHS LATER!

Brazen incompetents who wouldn’t even know where to lookup the word.

The morning of my scheduled move, a representative called me and informed me that “a surprise inspection from the Department of Transportation” had occurred and “one of their trucks was red-tagged.” The representative then proceeded to ask if I could reschedule the move to which I declined for reasons that should be obvious. The representative then indicated that she would “see what she could do” and attempt to find a different crew to do the job. She indicated that she would call me back “shortly” with an update. I waited over an hour for a call until it reached the point that I needed an update immediately, so I called. There was no answer of the number she called from, the number provided to me in the email from my sales rep., or the general sales number. I left voicemails on all three numbers, never to receive a response. This resulted in me scrambling around attempting to find a different moving company that would do a same-day move for me.
The fact that my move was not completed as agreed-upon due to an inspection failure is so obviously not a problem or concern of mine for two reasons.
1. They are a business. They should be prepared with a backup for situations such as this or any other that are similar. No excuse. 2. Again, as a business providing a service to the public, they should not even allow trucks, equipment, or otherwise to ever reach a level where they would fail a surprise inspection. That’s a HUGE negligence liability.

Moving.

My moving experience with Milestone was an absolute disaster. First, they neglected to forward the details of my move to their local contractor resulting in them showing up with a truck not large enough for the job, nor the necessary help. The poor guy ended up using his wife to drive their pickup truck to handle the balance of the load. Even with stuffing my car to the brim, I had to leave personal property behind. Second, the contractor's one loader quit in the middle of the move and refused to travel across the state. My girlfriend, her sister and I ended up having to unload the truck with the mover and his wife. The move that was "estimated" to finish by 5PM, didn't end until 1AM for which they charged us extra. Afterwards when I complained to the Milestone corporate office, I got absolutely NO cooperation, NO understanding, NO refund or discount. Only excuses, one of which was to blame me for underestimating the move; even though I gave a detailed item list and pictures; none of which was forwarded to their local contractor. This is a terrible company with poor leadership at the highest level. They assumed no responsibility for the breakdown in communication and/or the poor performance. I would not recommend this moving company to ANYONE..

Dc Market - Stay Away From Them.

DC MARKET - DO NOT USE THESE MOVERS. They are super communicative until moving day, and then they will no-show and dodge your calls! 1 star only because 0 isn’t an option.

Today is my moving day. The movers were meant to arrive between 9-11 am. Last night at 7 pm, just 14 hours before the arrival window, I get a text from Chase asking me if I can reschedule to one day later because he isn’t available. I said I cannot reschedule because my landlord expects me out, I can’t get parking permits on short notice, etc. - you know, all the normal reasons why a move, unlike a haircut, can’t just be rescheduled on 14 hours notice. Chase said that he will try to get a team assigned to my move. I asked for confirmation once that is done, which I didn’t get.

Fast forward to this morning. Still no word from Chase confirming that someone is coming to move me. At around 9:20 am, Chase tells me to contact the “main boss” (who I assume is Scott Sanderson) or Christine. He gave me Christine’s number. I called her, she said she would get back to me in 15 minutes. A couple hours and several unanswered calls and texts to both Scott and Christine later, Christine texts me to say that “customer service” is trying to reach me but can’t get through. I said I’ve been sitting next to my phone for hours, so that’s impossible. After I asked for it a couple times, she finally gave me their number. I called, no answer so I left a message. I also doubt whether it’s actually customer service because there was no outgoing message. Then Christine asked me to call Chase to sort it out - even though Chase, who at this point has been ignoring me for hours, told me to contact Christine. After hours of this, Chase texts me at around 1:30 - my move was supposed to be done or almost done by then - to finally admit that no one is going to help me today, and asks if I’m able to book someone else. On a Sunday. For a same-day move.

Still haven’t figured out what the heck I’m going to do because it’s a Sunday during a pandemic. But I didn’t want to waste any time letting you all know NOT TO BOOK THESE PEOPLE.

Don’t waste your time

Don’t use this company. I scheduled a move and they were able to fit me in last minute which was great, so I stopped calling other places. However, they ended up canceling on me, I was frustrated but was okay I would just move another day with them.

The reason for the bad review is because after the canceled on me, through a text they NEVER answered the phone or text message! I called 4 or 5 times and sent a text and nothing, after reading all of the other reviews it is probably best not to even call them at the start of the search process!!

Too Small of a Truck for the Job

We were moving out of a 3 bed 2.5 bath house with a garage and requested a 26 foot truck. We have moved a few times this past year and knew we would need a truck of this size to move everything (since we had this size truck when we moved to NC and had bought furniture once we were down here). We made sure to have all of our furniture wrapped, boxes all taped up and labeled with the room they were to go to and whether or not they were fragile in order to ensure a smooth and clear move.

The morning of the move 3/18/21 I was notified the movers would be an hour late which added even more stress as we made sure to be ready for the movers on time and also had planned our day accordingly (as my wife had taken time off for the move but had to return to work later).

When they showed up they arrived with a 15 foot truck which was not the appropriate size for the size house we were moving out of --I discussed with them that we would require a 26 foot truck. They continued to ask us what needed to be moved to the new house—we let them know EVERYTHING had to go (with the exception of the living room furniture—couch, coffee table, entertainment system stand and end table)—otherwise all of our other belongings needed to go with us since we were moving out. They continued to ask us to prioritize what needed to go because it would not all fit—this is not appropriate as we are hiring a moving company to move all of our items (with the exception of the above living room furniture—we should not have to prioritize because they brought an inappropriately sized truck).

They also refused to move two cat scratching posts/trees because one of the movers was allergic—however these were vacuumed/cleaned off and the mover had no issue moving any other item (that is in the same household or where the cats had been). The other mover could move it as he was not allergic—but chose not to. Neither mover had any issue handling other furniture/belongings all of which had been around the two cats--and they had masks on for covid purposes (but this would also help prevent inhaling potential allergens).

They ended up filling the truck and leaving multiple furniture items and boxes/bins. They brought everything to the new house and I had to request they return to the old house after to complete the job--thereby costing me a significant amount more because they did not plan appropriately for the size house we were moving out of. We discussed this at the beginning that we would need a larger truck and they said "based on your itinerary we fit everything," which was not true. They went back to the old house to get some of the remaining items, but knowing that we were still on the clock, I rushed through everything and some items were still left behind. I was so mad that I was going to be charged for an additional hour because they failed to bring the right truck.

Back at the new home, they also did NOT put the items in the rooms that they were labeled. They left the majority of items in the garage and first floor office (first room when you walk in the house). This was also NOT appropriate as they left multiple heavy boxes for my wife and I to haul to the second floor on our own.

We are not only disappointed but are also unsatisfied with the lack of service that was provided as this is not good business practice. We did not receive the service we paid for and I hope we can come to a resolution. The movers did not bring the appropriate size truck costing us a lot more money, time and frustration. They did NOT handle items with care (that were marked fragile), they did NOT move all the items in the house (even after making a second trip costing us more money--and then requiring us to continue to bring our things throughout the week and then have to hire another moving company to complete moving items since we can not fit these items in our cars). They did not place the items anywhere near the requested locations (as all of the boxes and bins were clearly labeled.

This became a much more expensive endeavor and cost more money to move 30 minutes away than our move from NY less than a year ago.

I originally sent my concerns to Jim--who we had booked the service through however I called yesterday as I had not received a response in days only to find out he is no longer with the company.

Would not recommend this company to anyone.

No call, No show on moving day

Very disappointed, this company was my go to, I do not like writing negative reviews. I have used them 2 years in a row and recently hiredd them to complete 2 moves. Well the subcontractor "Tee Movers" showe up late for first part of move, and for the second a no show said it was raining. Called this comany spoke to my agent, said he woud see what's going on an maybe dispatch new crew, no callback, no email, no text, no rescheduling. Ironically I noticed I was forwarded to voicemail twice. I literally gave them a raving review recently on google then this happens. Very unprofessional, had to hire a same day moving company.

THE WORST PROFESSIONAL SERVICES EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD!

I reserved milestone relocations in Charlotte, NC over a month and a half before my move dateI was moving from a house to an apartment 1.5 miles away. All communication up to the day of the move was fine. I was assigned a moving coordinator (Richard Gordon) who set up the move, helped me reserve a time and took inventory of all the items I needed moved (note: it was 2 bedroom sets and a couch, so not much at all). The movers were to arrive between 9-10 AM, but never showed up. I contacted Richard, who put me in touch with Yonathan, the head of my moving team. Yonathan told me they had tried to contact me the day before but got a busy tone, so because they did not get in touch with me, it was protocol to not show up as sometimes people cancel and the office does not let the movers know?!?!? I had no missed calls, no text messages and no emails from the company. He said they were in the middle of another move and would be there afterwards. I had to contact him 2 more times before he told me around 11:30 AM that they would be there between 2-3 PM because they were waiting on their 3rd man (the original quote was for 3 men, so they knew the entire time they would need 3 people). This would now have them arriving 4+ hours AFTER the original booking!! I explained to both Yonathan and Richard that this would not work as I had move out cleaners scheduled to arrive at 2 PM. They assured me they would do what they could to get there ASAP and let me know they would contact me with an updated ETA. This is where it goes from bad to worse - starting around 12:30 PM, both Richard and Yonathan straight ghosted me. They stopped responding to all texts, calls, voicemails and emails. I ended up having to rent a UHaul at the last minute and move myself. Words can't really express how unprofessional, ridiculous, infuriating and inconvenient this experience was. I have no idea how they are still in business.

Terrible Movers, Damaged Belongings, DUI DRIVERS!

MILESTONE RELOCATION is a terrible company. They sent 2 guys who smelled of Marijuana upon entry and they didn't cover or wrap ANY of my belongings as promised in the move. The movers took a Marijuana smoke break in the moving truck before moving my stuff to the new address and upon carrying my furniture in they damaged my sofa and ripped my laundry room door off the hinges where it has to now be replaced. Richard was my contact at Milestone. I filed a claim and 3 months after my move I've received nothing for $400 in damages. Ashley handles claims and she is completely useless and worthless as a representative of Milestone. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. WARN EVERYONE YOU KNOW!!

Caution!

Let me start off by saying that I have confirmed that Milestone Relocation Services outsources to any mover that is available. As a company, they do not provide a solid reputation and will not respond back, when really needed.

As with other customers, the movers were late and only showed up with 2 rather that 3 movers. In order to save money on the move, I offered to help. Keep in mind that all the furniture was broken down and boxes were stacked near the from door. Even thought the movers were late, they were professional, and exhausted, but kept moving and moved my belongs 2 hours away. I helped unload the truck, had I not, the cost would have went beyond the $1544 and the original estimate was $944. I need to add that I was informed a few days befor the move, an additonal $118.00 to the original quote. How does on say no at the last minute? Find another moving company and avoid the anxiexty and exhaustion. I texted Richard about the situation and never heard back. Do yourself a favor, pay a little more and find a reputable company for moving.
