Milestone Relocation Solutions

After pricing several other moving companies we were referred to Milestone by a friend.  Their estimate came in way below the competition and at first I was skeptical.
On moving day the guys were about an hour late but after talking to them we realized they had a truck breakdown and needed to scramble to get a second truck.  They made up the time because they brought 2 trucks instead of 1 and it made the packing and transport quicker.
The movers were great; friendly, professional and speedy.  At the end of the day and after everything was done they sat down with me and reviewed everything to ensure satisfaction.  The final price was exactly what was estimated and no suprises.
I would definitely recommend Milestone to a friend.

Definitely happy that I decided to use Milestone. The initial assessment that was done with Richard Gordon was great; he was very polite and thorough in explaining the process and costs. The movers arrived within the expected timeframe and got straight to work. My reservation was for two movers/three hours of work. It took about 4.5 hours for them to move my furniture from my 1st floor one bedroom apartment to my 3rd floor one bedroom apartment that was located about 5 minutes away. What's with the extra 1.5 hrs you might ask?? Well my new apartment is located on the 3rd floor. The building does not have a loading dock and has only 1 elevator that can fit a total of 2 adults at a time. The stair case is also slightly narrow SO this meant that everything that was not a chair, a box, or a bin had to be carried upstairs. I do have to mention I had several heavy typical pieces of furniture including an elliptical. With that being said, the movers definitely did the best they could without complaining and my furniture arrived with (understandably) only a few scratches here and there. Take a chance and go with Milestone Relocation Services.

Service cost: $500

I had a 2-4 arrival time. Although they didn't show until 4:45 they were courteous enough to call me around 2:45 and let me know they would be late which allowed me to get more things done. I moved from a 3rd floor (elevator building) apartment to a 4th floor walk-up apartment. I had moved a lot of my things early in the day and had 3-4 boxes, a bed, and a dresser. The move had a small hiccup considering I was moving to Center City. The truck was really big for such a small number of items (I was told it was due to such a large move earlier in the day) and the truck wasn't able to be parked long on the street as buses couldn't get by. After about 45 minutes a manager showed up to assist and all of my belongings were inside and up to my 4th floor apartment in about an hour. They were nice enough to not charge me for the time that no work could get done and they busted their butts to get everything up the 50 steps! .

Service cost: $260

We have used Milestone before and had no problems with our first experience with them, so we thought, hey let's use them again! Our intuition and past experience was spot on.  This last move was an easy and quick one, but Milestone did a great job working hard the entire 3 hours it took and all of our personal belongings arrived at the new residence in excellent condition. We couldn't be more pleased with the company.  Definitely will recommend and use them again!  Thanks Milestone!

Do not use milestone relocation services! The movers were rude, wasted time, did not bring a large enough truck causing us to move half the stuff ourselves and I am disabled,

Told them to have a manager /supervisor call me ASAP and left 7 messages with no reply back. These two guys damaged 2 leather pieces and scratched multiple others while speaking in Spanish and laughing.
This was the worst and most unprofessional move I have ever experienced causing damage and causing someone who physically could not handle "finishing" the job they were hired for to have move almost half of what they left on my own.
They lie on quotes, promises, help has no respect, they damage your stuff and don't expect their useless superiors to give a damn or be available to help you!

Milestone moved us from one location in DC to another in VA to the final stop in VA this fall. Moving is generally not my favorite thing to do, but this one was a terrific experience! The movers were friendly, quick, and very efficient. What could have taken all day, only took a matter of hours, and everything arrived intact. Nothing was broken or damaged during the move. I've moved a little more than 5 times around the area and Milestone beat all the other companies I've used previously. I've used Milestone for two of my moves and plan on using them in the future. Couldn't recommend enough!

I was lied to about services provided by an Erik Pendleton who has ignored my calls emails since confirming move an payment regarding issues. They were to reassemble a washer dryer lied about a part being wrong connected washer wrong I ruined a load due water temperature cold water wasn't coming on had get someone else it was NO ISSUES besides lazy. Mover crew supervisor Greg attempted to run a scam for more money. Invited some other guys out the blue to case my house?? Very unprofessional as they did some transaction drugs?? I don't know but DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS FRAUDULENT COMPANY!! The company I hired didn't even do the move!!

I moved from a 3 story townhouse to a condo on the 3rd floor! The movers (2 men) loaded their truck and wrapped all my furniture and mattress. They had everything unloaded and set back up in my new place within the time frame quotes (3 hours). Nothing was damaged during the move which was amazing because I feel like things always get damaged.

The men who moved my stuff was very pleasant to deal with and had a great system in place.

Reserving my move date was easy and I was confirmation/e-mail throughout the process! I was always able to get a hold of a real person and had no issues.

This is for sure a great company to use!

Move size: 3 Bedroom Home Service cost: $360

I had to switch my move time 3 times. Milestone ALWAYS answered my call within a few rings, changed the date and time with no penalty, and were always very, very, polite and helpful! I am a single female moving, so I was nervous. The crew (2 gentlemen) were professional, timely, had a great attitude, and did not scratch, dent, or break anything (and I have a lot of stuff)! When we found out the move-in was up a steep hill and around the corner even farther, they gave me no trouble at all but rather their positive attitude was contagious and made the move way less stressful for me. Highly recommended and I did my research beforehand!

Move size: 1 Bedroom Home Service cost: $550

I had to call Milestone Relocation Solutions at 9:30 AM when they were scheduled to be at my house between 8-9 AM on the day of our move. We already closed on 2 houses. They told me they were not coming. The manager (located in FL), said "his movers went dark on him" (whatever that means). That was not acceptable and I implored him to get someone. He did, and 5 people showed up around 1 PM. What kind of moving company tells you they aren't showing. One woman mover hurt her ankle in the first half hour and I still got billed for 5 movers for 7.5 hours. I fed them and tipped them anyway because it was not their fault that they had no experience as movers. They destroyed 2 new desks that were laid on my lawn and damage many other pieces of furniture. It also took twice as long as it would have with experienced movers. I was the 5th mover and ran circles around all of them. I am 50 years old and one guy was 15 years my elder, and another was half my size. My only compliment is that these guys were all polite and courteous.

You would be foolish to sign up with these people as they are not really a moving company. They take your move and outsource it to other moving companies. They have a claims department that only corresponds by email (cannot call). They use the address of a school building in Raleigh, NC. Avoid this company at all costs. This is my first of many reviews, and they will be reported to the appropriate government agencies. My last interaction was very disrespectful from the one and only manager. He mentioned that there is no number for the claims department because they receive countless claims. He mentioned that they were mostly bogus claims wanting free moves. I can assure you my claim is anything but bogus and I have many pictures from this disastrous move. You need to question why they have so many claims, and most people would not bother to go through the effort to file a claim if there was not a real issue.

Move size: 4 Bedroom Home Service cost: $1200

This is by far the worst company I have come across.  Before they started they asked how I would be paying and then started loading.  They loaded one-box-at-a-time; stretching a one hour job into a two hour load.  Once they made it to my house they tell me that my payment form was unacceptable and they would not allow anything off the truck until I paid them.  They gave me a cost and while I was paying it with the Florida office the local manager called and says "no more mr. nice guy".  When I hung up on him he calls his delivery driver and all of a sudden the cost has increased by one hour.  When they unloaded they piled everything into one room. This is definitely a company to stay away from - especially the Raleigh NC and surrounding area.  .

I recently used this company for the second time for a move from Laurel, MD to Baltimore City. The movers arrived on time and were friendly and professional. They moved all of my belongings to the third floor of my home and left NO SCRATCHES on the wall!! The overall price of the move was a little over $500, but considering they went up and down 3 flights of stairs each time, I had no problem with the extra amount of time. One item was dropped, but the movers fixed it and I have had no problems. I highly recommend this company.
