Long Dist. Relocation Moving, Inc. Not Trustworthy.

ADDENDUM: This company was very reluctant to provide Insurance Information; I paid $4600.00 for half my belongings to end up stolen/damaged. I had throw out several things.
I reported my issue to their insurance company and three months later they informed me that they no longer insured Long Distant Inc.
There is a huge integrity problem with Long Distant Inc. and their company not wanting resolve losses and damages suffered by their customers.
Long Dist. Customer Svc. Rep. Matt Sladowski, told me that things get damaged when moving.

CSI Insurance: Claims@csipiros.org should be run out of business Phone: 77-CSI-CLAIM (772-742-5246)

To Date: I am still very angry for being ripped off. The four men who did the moving were all Arabs. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR MOVING > THERY MIGHT CHANGE THEIR NAME. !!

Local move from Houston, TX to Austin, TX

I will definitely go with them. I honestly cannot thank their team e.

Last year, I was offered a better position in our offices in Austin, Texas. I was quite excited about moving up the career ladder, but I was a little stressed as well, since that meant I had to relocate.
I wasn't really well-organized at first, so I sold my apartment way ahead of time, and realized I had no place to put my belongings until my new place in Houston
was ready. I realized there was no way I could figure it out on my own.
So I sat one night and tried to find the best possible solution for my problem. What caught my eye with Long Distance Movers was the fact that they provided storage services. So, I contacted them and we set up a meeting. They were on time and had covered all the aspects of my needs. We agreed to pack and protect the furniture which was to be moved away and stored, and explained the entire process in detail, set the moving date and gave me the price estimates.
The guys at Long Distance Relocation Group understood what kind of a problem I was facing. In fact, they assured me that such a situation was more common than I had previously thought, which made me feel a little less like a fool. Anyway, they provided me with a month of free storage unit for all my belongings. After that month had passed, I still needed about two weeks of storage service, so they gave me an incredibly affordable price rate.
In the end, I decided to hire these guys to carry out the entire moving process.
All I had to do was pack my suitcases and a few belongings I was going to bring along to Houston and I could transport in my car, and pay for their services.
Thanks to their team of professionals everything went on smoothly and just as they had described it.
Long Distance Movers are the best company in the interstate moving business. They turned this moving stress into a pleasant adventure. If I ever have to go on this adventure again, I will definitely go with them. I honestly cannot thank their team enough for everything they have done for me!

Long-distance move from California to Washington

Overpromised and Severely Underdelivered.

Here is a list of my experiences with this company:

* Quoted me $2,800 for move and turned out to be $5,300
* When movers came to my home, they were 2 hours late. They said they would be ones driving the Budget truck up to Washington, and no problem getting my stuff there in 10 days. I later found out this was never going to be true, they just wanted a bigger tip
* Only person who packed my stuff with care was person doing kitchen. Nothing else was protected in boxes, and resulted in several items becoming damaged, scratched and unusable.
* My stereo, speakers, brand new record player, shoes, are all damaged. And I'm missing legs to my coffee table, along with nice framed picture which are simply just missing and never delivered.
* I'm also in possession of some poor kid's stuff including PS3, and all his clothes/toys. If anyone reads this and this is yours, I would happily help get this to you. Please just respond and we can figure it out. The company literally just tells me "not sure whose it is, and when we have a truck in the area again, not sure when that will be we can pick it up."
* The people who delivered my stuff even after being instructed to 3 different people at this company, still came in an 18 wheeler which I told them from the get go it would never fit. Driver wanted me to go get a Uhaul which I declined, so I was charged another $500 to get things transferred on a this shuttle. Other moving companies avail will just move with original truck vs these transfers.
* It took 20 days to get my stuff and realizing how much is missing. They were supposed to check off boxes when they brought in the house, but 2 man team was in such a hurry and hard to communicate with due to attitude and in such a hurry. He pressured me to just sign off so he can leave and just file a claim for missing and damaged stuff.

Local move from Orlando, FL to Miami, FL

Highly recommended.

LDI is good to go. We had a great experience with Long Distance Movers. We moved from a 3rd floor, 2 bedroom condo to a single family home within the 100 miles away. These guys were prompt, efficient, and busted their tails without a hint of complaint.
I was working to pack some final boxes, and before I turned around, my living room furniture was professionally disassembled and wrapped up in prep for the move. They moved fast!
Transportation was efficient, and moving into the new house was seamless.
Highly recommended. Estimates they were accurate and reasonable.

Long-distance move from Long Beach, CA to Henderson, NV

Moved very quickly without any issue.

As 110% of us can attest to, moving sucks royally, and dealing with movers can literally feel like torture.
Having said that, we could not be happier with this company and with our movers specifically. We had three movers which is what we asked for and all three of them( Bassam, Charles , and anthoy ) were great!
They were all incredibly pleasant to deal with, moved very quickly without any issue, and the move could not have gone better! When dealing with the stresses of a move, having movers that you can trust and that are easy to deal with really makes the move process so much easier. As we mentioned to them, hopefully we do not have to move for a long long time but if we do, we will certainly be calling these guys to help us!

Long-distance move from Terryville, CT to Daytona Beach, FL

Worst experience ever.

I spoke to Sammy while looking at apartments in Florida and when I signed a lease, I called him back since out of all moving companies I contacted along with PODS they were what I could afford. I knew while giving him a list of stuff, I was forgetting some so when I flew back to Connecticut, I called him and went over everything room by room. I didn’t pack yet and estimated 60 boxes. I was quoted a little under $2400.00 after making the adjustments of additional items. Everything was smooth up until about 60-75 percent done with loading. One of the guys ended up telling me I had more than they quoted me and it would cost a little more and asked what I wanted to do. I gave my apartment notice and signed a new lease and needed my stuff to get to my new alarm in Flow and vacate where I was so what could I do? I said go ahead to finish loading because there was nothing I could do at this point. I was quoted 600 cubic feet. I ended up having 11 boxes over the original amount and a few small, lightweight things that I forgot like the garbage can, laundry basket, a vacuum cleaner and a few curtain rods. They told me I used 1100 cubic feet and my move would cost $4852 which more than doubled, but the space didn’t double. They informed me they’d wrap the floor lamps well and they are now trash and the movers threw them out. They left rolls of packing tape they used to wrap furniture all over the floor and left a huge mess. At this point there was nothing I could do. Everything I packed in the 71 boxes minus 2 little things made it just fine and literally everything they wrapped they damaged severely. My floor lamps are garbage along with my metal filing cabinet that I had to throw out because they dented it so bad that I couldn’t unlock it to open the drawer. They ripped my reclining sofa really bad, split the wood on the crib, damaged my entertainment center, chest and dining room table really bad plus much more. I am sickened over this and told all my friends about it and would NEVER recommend them to anyone. I was originally going to rent a truck and have help on both ends, but the movers were easier since I’m a single mom with an infant and figured it was only 600$ in price difference..NOT! I didn’t have this much money budgeted for the move and they made sure to get the last 25% of my money owed at time of delivery before they unloaded. I got ripped off. The guys who delivered my stuff also stated I didn’t use more than 800-900 cubic feet so I was overcharged and paid for space of useless items due to the severity of the damage.

Long-distance move from Rye, NY to Delray Beach, FL

My items arrived as promised.

I decided to move some items from my primary home in Rye NY to my winter home in Delray Beach FL. I only wanted to move a few items and when I looked at the prices for u haul I was surprised. I did some research online and saw Long Distance Inc s was offering a “snowbird special” for partial moves down the east coast. the guys quoted me at 1200$ for the shipment and a little bit extra for packing materials for my glass top table totaling 1300$. After all was said and done price didn't change and guys were great. I tipped them each 50$ and received my items in 5 days as promised.

Long-distance move from Murrieta, CA to Fairfax, VA

NIGHTMARE - Run for your life!

I hired Long Distance Relocation in November 2017 to move my belongings from CA to VA. After TWO police reports I filed and a complete cessation in communication from them, I STILL do not have all of my furniture and it is March 22, 2018!

They picked my furniture up on 11/30/17, did not properly protect and wrap my furniture after repeated requests by me, they grossly misquoted the moving charges, they forgot several items and had to come back later to get them, AND when I asked about additional insurance that night, they said I did not need it and that it was expensive and the foreman did not know how to fill out the insurance request. It was a nightmare!

After multiple calls and emails to everyone in FL at their headquarters and to the general manager of their southern CA location, they finally delivered some of my belongings on Christmas Eve, forced me to pay them more than they originally quoted just to get my furniture, and then delivered much of it damaged. I had been sleeping on an air mattress the entire time! My MISSING ITEMS included my large flat screen TV, my Miele vacuum cleaner, 2 irreplaceable large custom framed portraits of my son, my cal king mattress, a framed painting my son made, and a ladder. Damage to my delivered furniture totaled approximately $1000.

They have, in writing, promised to deliver remaining items which they “forgot” in their CA warehouse several times and also to repay me for damages - IN WRITING. And nothing!

I have hired an attorney who contacted them and requested my items and they said nothing. I have now contacted the DIstrict Attorney in CA and am determining my options legally before I move forward against them.

I cannot fathom the way this company has treated me and my family. They were paid well above the quoted price and IN FULL, they admitted they had my belongings, and now they will not respond or deliver them. It is incomprehensible to me.

I am pursuing this to the fullest extent of the law. Please run from this company. They are horrible.

Below is a picture of the mattress they tried to deliver, which was gross and not mine, my damaged side board to my cal king bed, and my son’s pottery barn bed loaded unprotected on their van. There was much more damage. This is just a glimpse into the damage and negligence.

Long-distance move from Miami, FL to Atlanta, GA

Better than others.

I've moved around quite a bit in my lifetime. Most moves go with some type of a problem for one reason or another. Having used several different major van lines as well as a few smaller companies I must say I'm thoroughly impressed with how Long Distance does their work. These folks are professionals. Everyone involved from customer service to the guys at the house were on top of their game. I’d use them again for sure.

Long-distance move from Brooklyn, NY to Los Angeles, CA

More than.

I recently relocated to the West Coast, and needed something reliable to get me across the country. I researched a bunch of different moving companies and sourced a bunch a quotes, and eventually I was contacted by Long Distance Relocation Group before my planned move, and was given what I thought initially to be a reasonable estimate for a cross-country move by a sales rep named Sam. They were not the cheapest, but as explained to me via phone, their rates reflected a lack of hidden fees that moving companies are known for. I would later learn the hard way that they also play with the same dirty tactics as their competition. The days leading up to the move, one of my most pressing questions was always "I'll be getting a call beforehand right?" as I no longer lived at the apartment where my things were. I was always assured that I'd get at least 24 hours notice before, and 30-60 minutes heads up. The day of the move, I received a text message out of the blue that they had arrived. 40 minutes after the text had been sent. No call beforehand, no attempt at a follow up. I rushed over as soon as I caught the text to meet the movers, and overall, the loading of the truck went smoothly. However, I was told by the foreman that despite my load being under what Sam quoted (24 standard boxes instead of 30) that I was above the limit, which is impossible having packed moving trucks for trade shows for the past 10 years. When I asked the foreman to walk me through how he calculates your cubic feet, his reply was merely "It's above the line, but not all the way above", and he then proceeded to calculate some arbitrary numbers that included a surprise materials fee (the only materials they used of theirs were shrink wrap, tape, and blankets, which based on Sam and his associate Tommy's discussions, were included in the estimate.) My final invoice came out to be $2065.75, which was more than $500 over what I was quoted initially. This was far outside of my budget on a job that was already pushing my budget to the limit. When we spoke, I told him I understood that I'm willing to pay a little more than the less expensive movers quoted me, since he all had such great reviews. I signed the papers, exhausted by the move and everything that led up to it, and resigned myself to deal with it with a manager afterwards. I sent out a follow up to Sam documenting my experience and my dissatisfaction. It took a second follow up email and a total of 10 days before I received a response from Sam, which was as follows: "What are you even trying to say right now?" I followed up with a very brief and direct summary of my experience and what I wanted, some kind of discount to clear the balance, with no reply. More than 2 weeks later, I received a call from Adrian, the driver in LA, saying they had arrived, but would have to charge me $300 more to delivery because they couldn't get an 18-wheeler down my street. I had been asked about this in NY by the foreman on sight, and I told him that the street was too narrow and asked him if there was any additional charge or concern I should be worried about. His answer was NO. Needless to say, I was beyond frustrated at the games they were playing with no only my possessions, but my money as well! Adrian said he'd park somewhere and I could pick up myself, which is not what I paid for, but in the interest of being done with this nightmare, I agreed. I got to the storage facility (located an hour away) and arrived to find my things off the truck and visibly disheveled. Boxes were crushed and open, the handles on my antique dresser were off and I was told "it's OK, they should screw back in". Additionally, I was told I had to give them a certified check (something not discussed prior, especially since the NY foreman who picked up my things told me a personal check was fine.) I was also told by Adrian that if I didn't give them the balance, that they would leave my things at the storage facility. Not packed away, just in the open to be picked through by whomever chose to visit. I spoke with the operations manager Ryan several times, both via text and afterwards via email, to request some kind of discount or compensation for not only the outrageous additional charges but also for my damaged goods, which I also sent pictures of as well. I have not received any reply since picking up the things I had paid over $2000 to have delivered.

Wouldn't hire!

I hired this company with expectation of a 2 week delivery time, as promised from this company with text messages confirming. Over a month and a half later I received most of my items, however NOT a single item of mine was labeled as I was told they would be. Many missing and broken items, delay after delay, very unprofessional. Not to mention adding to a previous signed contract to cover up a mistake on this companies end. I would rather rent a truck and move myself before hiring them.

Long-distance move from New York, NY to Boston, MA

Movers.

If I could give zero stars I would. Classic bait and switch. Worst moving experience of all time. Classless and unprofessional. The movers showed up 4 hours late and claimed it wasn't their fault, they just "follow orders". Then they told me that quote was wrong and I woudl owe double. During the course of 8 hour move after pissing off my entire building staff because they were moving so slow and were 4 hours behidn schedule, the foreman jacked up the price THREE TIMES during the day. He made it very clear though that by the end he would "negotiate a good price." I called the moving office to express my anger and frustration and he said he had "never misquoted like this before" so he would also offer a discount. By the end of the day, the foreman said he could not longer offer a discount because we had already called the office which we "shouldn't have done." But he then decided that he would be more willing to discount the price if we guaranteed a good tip..to the point where he offered for every $70 discount, we would have to increase the tip by $20. Scam artists. Did I mention we were told we would have to provide our own boxes for TVs? We spent lots of money on that, but they found out the boxes were not sufficient and they would need to pack the TV's themselves and it would be an upcharge. Spoiler alert: my brand new TV arrived damaged. The movers told me they would reimburse me for anything damaged - but that was a lie. TV wasn't the only thing that arrived damaged, my antique coffee table had all (4) legs broken, my bureau had a leg broken, (2) large glass frames were shattered and my glass table cover is cracked. The truck arrived to my apartment and when they opened the doors boxes were on their sides, cracked, crushed, you name it. If I hadn't been so furious I would have felt sorry for them. The only redeeming quality was that the Boston movers actually moved quickly. However, I quickly realized that they moved quickly only because they were late for their next job. They told me they had no time to set up my beds, put carpets down or place furniture. The foreman on the delivery side even had the audacity to tell me that the foreman we dealt with on the front end thought very low of us, but we shouldn't be discouraged because he's also notorious for being lazy and terrible at his job. Interesting company dynamic to say the least. Also, you should be aware that every time you try to call for an update on your truck you have to go through an operator who puts you on hold, may or may not provide an answer (usually not), but says they will "call another supervisor and get back to you." Pathetic. I work in construction and I deal with subcontractors every day, all over the country, and I have never in my life experienced such a lack of professionalism. They clearly have no comprehension of quality customer service. I have been left feeling completely robbed and taken advantage of.

Long-distance move from Brooklyn, NY to Atlanta, GA

~20K in Damages and Mold.

This company is a bait and switch relocation company that is leveraging the same tactics as other fraudulent relocation companies. Per the police, they have committed both civil and criminal offenses.

-Unanswered phone calls, emails, full message system, and 3rd Party Answering Service.
-No last names or direct phone numbers used.
-Tripled the rate from $1550 to ~$4600 upon loading my property, demanding I pay or they would throw my items back in the street.
-Stored my items for 2 months before relocating my goods from Brooklyn, NY to Atlanta, GA, arriving 10 days late. All the while, not answering any calls or emails with the status of the moving goods.
-My goods arrived yesterday covered in blankets of mold. Furniture, clothing, kitchen items, a mattress -- everything was soaked with water and had been molding for an unknown amount of time.
-The police were called and the representative named Tommy reached out once the truck driver had messaged him. Once he heard the police had arrived, he hung up. The driver abandoned the goods in the street and drove off, leaving unexecuted paperwork behind.

If you have already scheduled a move, cancel it now. This company is liable for ~$20K in damages alone for my relocation, and I have read that they may be in bankruptcy.

Long-distance move from San Diego, CA to Houston, TX

Total scam, WARNING: DO NOT USE !

Using this company is my worse, most regrettable decision I've made, and the worst experience I've had through my entire life!
1. I have 7 boxes got stolen from their warehouse, including a 60" TV
2. I have 5 damages on my furniture. My bed is not usable anymore, and lot's my boxes got damaged.
3. It took them 3 months to settle my loss, which they agree to compensate by WEIGTH! Yes, by weight! $400 for 7 boxes of stuff..
4. after 7 months, they still haven't sent me the check!
5. I've tried to contact them countless of times. Although they always say they'll send out your check the next day, but 7 months has passed and I still haven't received the check
6. Now they didn't pick up my phone.
7. I contacted the sales person, and he said he already left the company, because they're in the process of bankruptcy.. (no wonder how they end up bankruptcy)

And be careful, when you call their number, it's a fake number, they're just receivers who leave messages to them. And they never return your call.

I'll never see my 7 boxes of stolen stuff, and I guess I'll never see me $400 check!
Don't be the next victim!

Last but not the least, do not trust a single word from Ryan or Tommy. They're probably just fake names. Lying is what this whole company does.

Long-distance move from Arlington, MA to Canandaigua, NY

Do NOT use Long Distance Relocation Group, Inc.

My est. for packing and moving jumped from $4500 to $14475, and they insisted I pay IN CASH if I wanted my stuff. Every appliance and piece of furniture was damaged. They're definition of packing was throwing things in boxes, none of which were labeled, and using my custom drapes as packing material. Original oil paintings throw in, unprotected, on top of other things. Nothing inventoried. Upon unloading, nothing put where I asked. Microwave was in an upstairs bedroom. Refrigerator left in living room (it didn't fit through one door, so they never tried the back door). Everything "packed" (using the term loosely) in either wardrobe or dish pack boxes, too big & heavy for me to move myself. Collectibles and antiques, crushed. Cabinets never emptied of contents, packed full so all the contents spilled during moving and when opened, in many cases damaging the hinges or drawers. A every piece of a brand new custom bed damaged. Bannister damaged to the point that it won't stay together now.

Long-distance move from Merrick, NY to Venice, FL

Damaged furniture/poor customer service.

I recently moved from Merrick NY to Venice Fl. When the movers arrived and unloaded my furniture almost all of it was damaged. The movers assembled my befroom furniture and never mentioned the damages to a 5 pieces till I noticed it myself. The double dresser had a broken leg and no one thought to inform us. The Sealy beauty rest mattress although in a plastic bag was ripped in 2 places. A wine credenza was all dented and an Antique cedar trunk was never covered therefore was all scratched up and had torn and stained pillow top. Small accent table damaged and jewelry armoire also all scratched up. I had to call the company 3 times before I got a call back from Tommy. After I explained the situation there wasn’t even an apology. I was told to put a claim in and he would email me the info. It would be a third party and they would decide an allowance. Unbelievable!! That was 3 days ago and we haven’t received an email. Very Disappointed. I expected more from this company.

Run Don't Walk Away From This Company.

Very slick sales approach and I got sucked in. Don't make my mistake. If you happen to make the mistake of using these guys, here is a direct dial number to a Manager. They tell you they have no direct dial numbers but they're liars. Jonathan's direct dial is 754-240-5626, try Tom at 754-240-5625 or 5628. Keep trying all the surrounding numbers and you'll get around the stupid call center. I have no reason to slam this business other than they are the most dishonest and unscrupulous company I've ever dealt with. I am equally generous with positive reviews to companies that earn them.

Long-distance move from Danville, CA to Morrisville, NC

Horrible experience.

Like many folks, I tried my best to perform my due diligence prior to selecting a mover. After reading moving companyhorror stories everywhere, this company seemed to have the least terrible reviews. We were not looking for the cheapest, we were looking for a company we could trust to provide good reliable service at a fair price. Our experience with this company has been the worst customer service experience of our life. It all started very positive on the sales side as I spoke with John K who gave a "binding phone quote", which equated to approx $4500. Yes he explained that final pricing could be higher or lower after everything was loaded. He explained that delivery would take 14-21 days, which they were required to disclose per law. I questioned if they contracted their services, and he confirmed they use their own people, trucks and movers are all Long Distance employees. I explained our apartment lease began May 7th, so we can take delivery anytime after that. With plans for me to start my new job May 15th, and anticipating we receive our items between May 14-21. We arranged a pickup date of May 1.

Pickup day was mostly smooth, they did arrive a couple of hours late, not a big deal. The movers did a good job, wrapped everything up and loaded the truck professionally. Then came the first surprise, the final price came to $8500. I think everyone is mentally prepared for a slight shift in price, but nearly double? I don't think our furniture is even worth that much, at that price, we would have simply sold off most of our furniture, and only shipped keepsakes and such. I spoke to the driver, and he said that items should arrive quickly, I confirmed with him that we could not take delivery any earlier than May 7th, since we cannot get into our apartment before that. At this point, I was actually worried that they would deliver too early. Joke's on me.

The sticker shock was the first sign of your classic "bait and switch". It was disconcerting, but we were fine paying, as long as our items were handled and delivered timely. Unfortunately, things only continued to get worse from there. To keep it brief, lets just say, my trusty service rep became inaccessible (I was told he came down with health issues). I began dealing with one of the managers, Ryan S. Between him and Tommy answering my calls, every time I called to check on update, they assured me in various forms that our belongings were scheduled to be on the next truck, and would arrive within the next week. This song and dance went from the week of May 7th all the way until we finally received delivery June 20th. Yup, every week I would call to confirm our items were shipped only to be told, sorry, no, but they are scheduled to be on the next truck leaving in a few days..

By about the 3rd week of waiting for our items, I was convinced that the folks in the office had zero control or knowledge of what actually happens with dispatch. The disconnect was just sad. BTW, very important detail for those reading, when they say delivery window is 14-21 days, it is actually 14-21 BUSINESS DAYS, and also, the window does not necessarily start the day your items are picked up. There is a separate and unique "delivery date" they use, that is the start of your delivery window. Ours was apparently May 8th, which was the date that we said was the earliest we could ACCEPT delivery. These details were not made clear to us at point of sale, so please don't fall victim like we did. BTW, based on these terms, our delivery was due June 6 (21 business days from May 8).

When we finally received delivery, after waiting 7 weeks, it was the most disconcerting and ridiculous experience. The driver was several hours late, initially scheduled for 11-12, and pushed back to 4, and then showed up 6pm. He said he could not take the truck into our apartment complex, would have to do a shuttle and charge $400, okay fine, I was aware of this fee, even though it was advertised as $300 by the company. However, because he arrived so late, uhaul was closed and we were unable to get a truck. Instead of waiting until the morning, he decided to park at the front of our complex and I ended up shuttling our items in our minivan from the truck to our unit and also help manage and move everything. He asked me to identify items on the truck that did not belong to me as we moved. Apparently, that was his inventory system. He ultimately had to hire 6 movers to help, and we ended up moving from 7pm-1am, with me driving our minivan back and forth about 20 times. Ultimately, I had the privilege of paying $500 extra for this experience.

The only credit I can give here is that Ryan maintained contact with us throughout this time up until delivery. He did convey some sympathy to our situation and promised to look into making things right, as they did ultimately miss their delivery window and also provided us terrible communications on their delivery updates. He told me that they do compensate $30/day for late delivery. However, despite numerous attempts to settle and obtain any sort of compensation for their terrible service and late delivery, Ryan and Long Distance has not responded to any of my attempts to followup with them ever since we received our delivery. We've been ignored and dumped like a bad habit. No effort to make this right and preserve their integrity.

I would never use this company again, and would not recommend them to my worst enemies. Listen, I saw some of the negative reviews, but most were positive. Just like any company, there could be some anomalies with their service model as long as most of them are positive, you're probably going to get a positive experience. I can't speak for the other reviews, other than I'm convinced at least some of the positive ones are fabricated. I can assure you mine is genuine, and unfortunate for us, we were one of the customers that had a negative experience. Do business with them at your own risk, but based on our experience, I would not work with these guys. Don't say I didn't warn ya. Happy to discuss my experience in detail with anyone that is interested. We just want to put this nightmare behind us, but we have to warn others first.

Last thing to point out, we gave this company every opportunity to address our concerns prior to writing this review. I asked for a call from senior management over a month ago. Nothing, radio silence.

Local move within Florida

Long Distance Reloaction Group is FRAUDULENT.

After being charged SIX TIMES the amount I was quoted to move my small 2 bedroom apartment from Hartford CT to Bradenton, FL, they held my belongings hostage, tried delivering everything 3 1/2 hours east of Bradenton, then EVERYTHING I own of value: big screen TV, every brand name shoe I have (Jordans, Louboutin, Bakers, etc) my name brand hand bags (PRADA, Coach, Michael Kors, Christian Dior) my art collection (Roy Lichtenstein ORIGINALS from the 1950s) and 2 huge boxes of my Mary Kay inventory (valued at approximately $2400 retail) never showed up. I have called and left numerous messages, only hot a call back when I used my married name and my new phone number just to be hung up on when I told them who I was in their file. This is ludicrous. I work hard for everything I own, no one has given me anything. I just want my things back..a lot of it is vintage and hard to come by but they're mine. Tommy, his boss Ryan and the entire unprofessional staff there (minus the nice ladies at the answering service who all know me by my voice at this point) are a joke. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY TO MOVE ANYTHING!! My next move is calling channel 9 news and going public with my complaint. I'm still in disbelief that 28 of my 108 tagged articals are not in my possession.

Long-distance move from Brooklyn, NY to Atlanta, GA

~20K in Damages and Mold -- It's a scam- they write fake reviews.

They arrived with my things after two months of storage covered in mold and soaked in water. The police were called, and Tommy from Long Distance hung up when the police asked to speak to them.

DO NOT USE THEM.

They are now under investigation at a federal level with DOT and a task force that has been set up to take down the fraud being committed by these relocation companies.

Call the Government Victim Hotline if this company has also taken advantage of you by continuously increasing the cost of your move and damaging all of your things.

Long-distance move from Davenport, NY to Fairfield, ME

Smooth move, sweet staff.

THANKS LARRY.I'm more than satisfied with the performance from the guys at Long distance relocation group. . Everything went smoothly and with no problems. I had them ship about twenty five pieces of special equipment and furniture. I own a shop and I needed to move to a bigger place, since I couldn't really fit everything I had in the garage I was working in before. At first we wanted to ride cross country and transport the cars we had that way, but we soon realized it wasn't a good idea. So we decided to find a company to do it for us. And our cars are my life, so I wasn't going to let just anyone transport them. I mean it would cost me a fortune if anything happened to any one of them.. Anyway, my girlfriend suggested we hire professional movers at Long Distance, as some of her relatives had used their services before and they were satisfied. So we gave them a call, explained the whole situation and set the dates.Of course, I have other things in my shop other than tools, shelves, and such. So I had the movers pack the whole shop in the end and transport it. I also thought I'd eventually end up having to sort out all the tools, that they'd get all mixed up during transport, but these guys really knew how to pack them properly. Really, all I had to do was put them on the shelves. Everything went perfect, nothing was damaged, and nothing was lost. I mean, not a single screw. We were all pretty impressed. As for the cars, I had them transported in an enclosed truck, since I wanted to be completely sure nothing bad would happen to them. And I also had the guys from Long Distance pick them up from my old shop and drop them off in front of the new one. So with all those extra services, it still came up pretty affordable. Not cheap, but reasonably priced. I had honestly thought they would rip me off big time, since everything seemed so top notch and professional. All in all, I would most definitely advise anyone looking for transporters to consider hiring Long Distance Movers. I mean, these guys are seriously amazing, and they know the ins and outs of their job.

Long-distance move from Hialeah, FL to Gibbstown, NJ

LDRG was very professional and ethical.

I can't say enough good things about Long Distance Relocation Group. From the beginning, we were in a rush to get this move done, as a result, me and my wife's stress level was through the roof in trying to get everything facilitated in order to finish prior to her starting her new job.
Our rep was helpful in informing us about what to expect from his company. We had a few things that we knew were not going to be easy to move so he gave us a quote with the items on our estimate and another without the items in case we decided to sell them.By the time it was all said an done, he adjusted the estimate three times for us.
Our moving crew was a good group of guys headed by Steve.I had some old bookcases that I had been moving from place to place since college that were about as brittle as a stale potato chip that they managed to move without them breaking or falling apart which was a testament to the moving abilities. I was under the impression that we would fill up a whole truck but the way they packed and organized everything on the truck we were a little more that half.
The delivery came without a flaw. All the guys were in good spirits which made it a little easier on my wife and I since we had been at each others throats for the past couple of days so it was nice to have them around and in a jovial mood. Everybody who we dealt with and spoke with at LDRG was very professional and ethical. It was a pleasure doing business with them.

Long-distance move from Houston, TX to Phoenix, AZ

Team was on time always.

I found Long Distance INC after an exhaustive search online reading through countless websites of interstate movers. These guys stood out from all the rest because they were very responsive, detailed, and professional. These are important qualities for any interstate moving company, but it was especially important for us as we were planning a relocation from Houston to Phoenix, Arizona.
The Long Distance USA Movers team was on time for every scheduled phone call and in-person meeting. Their representatives made sure we knew exactly what was going to be done and when. We felt comfortable with them, never in a rush or panic. We were at ease, because they are so well organized and helpful. We have nothing but words of praise for them.
We had heard stories about people getting tricked out of their money, and we were scared that the same would happen to us. However, the moving process with LDIwent without a hitch. No unexpected expenses, no hidden costs, no missing items. We were so relieved.
Another thing that assured us that this was the right company for us is that with Long Distance Movers, all your belongings are insured. We knew that, if anything was to happen to our valuables, we were to be reimbursed. If we had some valuable items, we'd have to purchase an additional insurance. Luckily, there was no need for that - everything arrived at our new home in Phoenix in perfect condition.
The team from Long Distance USA Movers made it clear that we could contact them at any time if we had any questions or concerns. Their kind staff was be more than helpful and provided us with packing tips, since we had decided to pack some of our belongings ourselves. Without their advice, I don't think we would have done it properly.
A heartfelt thank you to Long Distance Movers! We cannot recommend you enough!

Long-distance move from Riverside, CA to Miami, FL

Everything worked out great this time.

Everything worked out great this time around, the previous time we had opted to reach out and get help for a move it did not work out well. It was not until we got into contact with Long Distance that we realized what a true service company is like. They offered us all of their plans and deals, as well as told us to consider how big the move would be and which pieces of equipment would actually be necessary just so we did not have to pay for useless things and still be charged for them.
Within a few days we had received a knock on the door by a supervisor and a group of men who had arrived to predict how much work the move would require. He got on his walkie talkie and spoke to the boss back at the headquarters I presume, and about thirty minutes later another truck with two extra guys showed up to begin the move.
They helped us pack everything into wooden crates for the appliances and the clothing and stuff they had separate cardboard boxes and bags for. They were of this weird cotton type of material and it provided extra stability and security so that our stuff would not be knocked back and forth.
It took about forty eight hours before most of the house was emptied out and our things were scheduled to arrive within the next week. We had moved in and began unpacking all of the things we had carried on hand. And luckily, about two days later all of our things began arriving and we have just began the unpacking process. Very happy how things worked out. Would totally recommend.

Long-distance move from Orlando, FL to San Francisco, CA

Move done right.

After all the great work they have done, I will give them a 5 star review because they REALLY deserve it! I guess I am another happy and satisfied costumer. I love this company's professionalism also. They knew what they were doing right from the beginning. They also have great deals while I was moving. For example, they had specials for office moving and I saved a lot! I moved without all the headaches because of this company. I was so lost before moving and I thought it was impossible for me to move all the office supplies. But of course, after these guys arrived I knew that I would be in good hands from the start. When they arrived in the office, they first placed everything in a box or wrapped the items and then proceeded to move things. It didn't take as much as I had imagined. They even wrapped the computer monitors in order to not break or scratch them as they carried it so carefully. That was honestly my biggest worry. They sure got my trust now and will be calling them for all my moving needs. These guys were A+ on everything!
