Could not have chosen a better group of workers to help us out into transitioning into a new home. The very hospitality that this reputable company shows all of their clients, even for free consultations and estimates, truly proves that they are there to actually help and not just drain your pockets. We gave Long Distance a call after prior attempts at negotiating a deal with previous companies did not work, ironically enough we had a cheaper rate here than both companies we called prior.What was very astonishing is that moving companies usually have flat rates, and most companies at least try to maintain their prices in a similar range. The two companies we called previously we had also found on Yelp and they had relatively more reviews. However, after giving them a call and having a nearly ten minute conversation with the man at the front desk, we ended up getting three or four different price estimates. And each time he would include a random fee which I do not even think I asked for whatever he was offering. Anyways, if you're moving into or out of Dallas, give these guys a call don't get ripped off by the other guys who just try to upsell you. Long Distance shows that they truly care about helping their customers and not just making a profit.

I was thrilled to speak to a company who would move my aged parents to their new home in an assisted living facility in another state for a reasonable price. I did my homework looked at the reviews from multiple sites and the Better Business Bureau and decided to use this company. While there were complaints, most seemed to be from the west coast. I gave a detailed list of items that were to be moved but could only guess the number of boxes and said somewhere between eight and 10. AFTER the truck was loaded, I was informed the price of the move was MORE THAN DOUBLE the amount I was quoted. Even though I have spoken to a supervisor at the company, they could offer a $100 discount off of more than $4000 bill. Really, you DOUBLED your quote. I encourage anyone using this company to THINK TWICE.

My experience with Long Distance was no different than the hundreds of great reviews I read. The price was in the middle but they really pushed value. To me it’s worth spending an extra 100$ for no BS. Long Distance delivered on everything they promised and then some. Got my job out on time and even threw in a free TV box for my OLED sonny. Real deal guys right here. They accidentally left one of my boxes t the warehouse but when I called the overnighter it to me VIA ups and I got it the very next day. I get that stuff happens- its how you deal with it that makes you a good company.

I own a landscaping company in Rochester NY. We sold a few of our mowers to a smaller company in Delaware on the internet. Rather than spending two days having one of my own crews bring it down the buyer and I worked out an arrangement to hire a shipper. I had heard of Long Distance before and decided to give them a call and see what they could do. Assuring me this wasn't their first rodeo they suggested we schedule a move for the weekend and they'd take care of everything. The buyer just called and Long Distance left an hour ago. All of the equipment arrived as it left my warehouse and the buyer was pleased at the service he received upon delivery. As a business owner I know what makes customers happy and can appreciate how these guys operate. Jon and Matt, if you ever need landscaping you know who to call!

Their sales person told us lie after lie and I am ashamed to say I believed there were good people in the world, they were late a week fro when he promised (but they made sure to be within their “acceptable delivery time” by contract)
I just happen to have all the texts and most was done over the phone that they could make it by our specific date. They gave us all kinds of “extra fees” making our fees almost double.

And when I tried over an over to reach them, they kept telling me that they couldn’t reach their driver, that they would call me back, needless to say those calls never came.

DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY.

I called Long Distance on short notice to move me 45 miles from CT to NY. Many of the guys in town apparently didn't have licensing to go into NY. I didn't know companies required specific licensing, especially because it’s only an hour drive. The owner at the company in town suggested I call Long Distance and I'm glad I did. The Long Distance coordinator was very friendly and his crews had the same dedication to their customers as he did. I literally opened my doors and they did it all from start to finish. I didn't even have to pack one box. I don't usually go online to write reviews but Anthony was such a nice guy I felt compelled to let everyone know that not all companies are created equal. Choose the professionals!

Move size: 3 Bedroom Home Service cost: $8520

Long Distance put forth 110% effort when it came to meeting my needs. I'm one happy and satisfied customer. Anthony and rabbi were most excellent. These guys thoroughly blanket wrapped and pad wrapped everything. They packed all of my glass and mirrors. They were so nice and very helpful. I was originally planning on selling all my furniture and buying new to avoid headaches but Long Distance told me not to worry and that I was in good hands. They were definitely right!

I had to move last minute for a job opening within my company from NY to FL. the movers my company usually contracts with were all booked so I had to find my own company to service the job. I did some research on the internet and came across Long Distance on multiple platforms. They were available on short notice and provided me a full pack so my wife and I didn't really have to do anything. We literally opened the door and let the crew get to work. Jon had told us these guys were all certified professionals and their work ethic showed that to be true. Also he had assured me these guys wouldn't be, for lack of a better word, sketchy. The movers were all very professional and I wasn't the least bit nervous about them going through and packing all of my items. I've heard of movers out there that steal your stuff but Long Distance was great. No nonsense and no problems.

Long Distance just left my house an hour ago. As promised they showed up in one of their trucks, wearing their uniforms, with their bill of lading. I got swindled by a broker once before and didn't want to deal with brokers. Long Distance showed me on their DOT page that they are indeed a carrier and that why I chose them. I'm glad I did too! This crew of movers was the best. They really went above and beyond- not sure if they just wanted a tip or if that how all their employees’ are- but either way they were great. I’ve already given mats number to some of my friends moving to California and hope they sue them too.

I was definitely pretty nervous at first but had a great experience with Long Distance that I wanted to share. I'm not the type of customer to ask for unreasonable things, and I don't think the things I asked of Long Distance were unrealistic. I just wanted the job to get done quickly, safely, and affordably. From the very beginning Sammy assured me this would be done. I take anything a sales person tells me with a grain of salt. But Sammy’s guys delivered on every promise he made. I was happy with how everything went and just wanted to share that these guys are upfront and honest from the very beginning. The Cadillac of moving companies!

Move size: 1 Bedroom Home Service cost: $1900

Initially when I decided to use this moving company, the communication was great. Even the movers who loaded up my items took great care and did a wonderful job. That's where the good ends. I ended up having to pay for A LOT more space and I felt that when I gave them my list of items, it was pretty accurate. I can understand going a little over, but this was a lot even after I asked them to aim on the high side as my company was paying for my relocation so I could not go over once the contract was done. On top of that, it has been 25 days since my "1st day of available delivery". I was told 7-14 days for a move from California to Colorado. After the 14 days had passed, I called, emailed, and sent numerous text messages about getting an update on where my items were. Finally 2 days later received a call back from a girl who could not give me any answers as to where my items were or even a timeline on delivery. She gave me the run around on California truck laws or something that made absolutely no sense. It has now been another week since I last heard from them and I've since left voicemails, emails, and text messages again. I still have not heard from anybody, I have no idea where my items are or when they even plan on delivering them. It is a sick feeling to have to know they have everything I own and I cannot get anyone to communicate with me on delivery timeline or even where my stuff currently is.

I own a lot of breakables. So naturally I was worried for how they were going to travel from Danbury, CT to Raleigh, NC. I specifically asked the movers from Long Distance to take extra care of my glassware. They did exactly that. They were very well equipped and methodically packed everything carefully. They packed everything in the van like Tetris. In the end, when my belongings arrived in North Carolina I checked to make sure everything arrived unscathed. One mug was damaged in transit but other than that nothing was broken. I was so happy with the services provided by this company.

I’m w Ashli on this. I scheduled this company to come a little over a week before I was driving there. Matt was great in answering questions up front, being responsive, etc.
They were 2 hours late on pick up (I did most of my own packing). Finally got it all done. I have not received my stuff yet. In all fairness they have 21 business days, which is 5/2.
I have a hard time getting phone calls back, responses to email, and I still don’t know when my things will get here. I’m being told something about law changes in California, which should have been figured out, and from a customer service viewpoint, something the company should figure out and soon.
Meanwhile, all I’m told is my stuff is in storage in LA.
So, I’m really hoping that my things are delivered very soon. They did a good job of customer service until my things were in their possession, and now, no date for delivery.
Ryan indicated he would look into and that was last Monday. Still no word. I have another message in, and hope they return call soon and give me the date.
I also have had different figures given for final move costs. In all fairness, I did delete and add a few items. Figure I agreed to on day they took stuff, was not the same figure they keep telling me. They have indicated it was their mistake and they will honor the figure I was given on day of move.

We chose Long Distance for a few different reasons; mainly the value in the service provided was on point. Anytime we hire any type of labor we want to make sure it’s not the cheapest. You really get what you pay for in my opinion. We learned the hardware one time earlier in life when we hired the cheapest contractor to remodel our kitchen. Long Distance price was reasonable and realistic. A lot of these movers tell you whatever you want to hear to get their foot in the door and charge more lately. Long Distance gave us a firm price and stuck to it.

We don't do this a whole lot. This was actually our first interstate move. We were pretty nervous that things might not end well but I suppose we’re just naturally nervous about everything. Long Distance but our nerves at ease. They promised us “a complete point a to point b move”. And they sure delivered on that promise. The crew who came to our house was amazing. They stacked everything so precisely. We just arrived our goods 3 days ago and I wanted to wait to finish unpacking before writing a review.

This moving company is the absolute best. I wanted to do business with a family run company because customer service is important to me. They gave me a price of $3150 for a complete move. I couldn't find any TV boxes for a 70inch at target so I ended up paying them a little bit more to pack the TVs. I paid for two and they gave me the third one free. The price ended up going up a little bit for that but they told me about it before so it wasn't a surprise. I have a daughter with special needs and the crew was really great about not making too much noise. Loud noises really frighten my daughter and they were more than accommodating in that regard. Also very friendly. I would use them again if I had to move once more.

Moving isn't fun for anybody. After doing a week’s worth of research I was pretty confident I knew what to look out for. Always get a binding estimate. Make sure you're dealing with a carrier as opposed to a broker. Make sue they're operating legally and have the proper licensing. Throughout all my research the only company that passed every one of my tests was LDRGs. they didn't have any dot complaints or major problems. Most companies were really good in some areas but bad in others. Long Distance was solid across the board and the service they provided me personally was exceptional. Hope my experience with Long Distance is no different than yours. Get it done right the first time!

I’m honestly at a loss for words right now. I’m leaving this review only because it’s been almost 2 months since I’ve put the order in for my move which so had to pay 75% of everything with the first 2 weeks just for them to take their time after that. There’s no good reason why they will not put my stuff on a truck and deliver it so for the past 3 days that I’ve called the supervisor will not talk to me or return my calls because he even has no explanation for me. But I could have at least saved myself the money if I would have known they weren’t going to deliver my furniture for 2 months minimally if they even still are going to. Everybody has a bad image in their head when they think of moving companies and this is exactly why. Most likely contacting my lawyer tomorrow morning. Save yourself the hassle and don’t deal with these people. They’re nice at first when they want your money but could care less how long you’re sleeping on an air mattress or sitting on your floor for once they’ve gotten their money.

I can’t even stand all the phone calls I continued to get after I filled out a stupid quote request online. The only person that wasn't pushy at all was Sammy with LDRGs. he spoke firmly and offered real solutions. We chose him for this exact reason. He even got us off of his competitors call list somehow so the phone calls stopped coming in within a day or two. I’m not sure how they handle their customer service so well but Sammy always picked up the phone or called back within 10 minutes. The movers were great and they answered every question I had. They worked hard and didn't complain when I added a bunch of stuff from my garage that I was hoping to sell before the move.

We didn't know what to expect with this move. My son set everything up from start to finish. He called me one day and said “Long Distance will be the one coming to your home next week”. I trust my son but honestly it’s hard to trust anybody who's planning to come and pack everything you own. I have 30 years of memories in this house and I just wanted it to get done without any damages. Rabbi and Alex was the two foreman that came to the home to get everything started. They, along with their helpers, were so incredible. They went through everything and made sure nothing would get broken. They paid extra special attention to some of my most valuable items and I didn't have to ask twice. If you want movers who really care you should choose LDRGs.

I needed to get everything delivered under a tight time window. We own a house in Syracuse NY and our winter home is in Arizona. Some things came up very quickly and I had only one week to get 20 plastic bins and a king size bed from NY to AZ. No mover that I called could guarantee a time frame like that. Finally one of the movers I talked to referred me to LDRGs. he said he used to work with them and that they could probably help. He gave me the number and I called to speak with one of the representatives named Edward (apparently an old friend of his). Ed was able to set everything up and guarantee a delivery date for me. They picked up 48 hours thereafter and got everything to Arizona on time. I could not have been happier and thank god I was put in contact with this company. I've already wrote good reviews on several sites and left the foreman and his crew a handsome tip.

Long Distance came in clutch when the time really counted. Sammy told me the mover I had hired was a bait and switch. I didn't want to believe him though. The salesman at the company a originally went with, traditional press van lines, promised me there wouldn't be any issues and they were so convincing. When the day came and traditional press raised the price on me I instantly thought go the conversation Sammy and I had. I told the scammers to take a hike and swallowed my pride to call Sammy. He was very understanding and was still able to get a truck out to me on short notice. They stuck to the price they gave me in the beginning. Don’t get baited by these scammers and chose a good company like Long Distance from the beginning. It will be worth it long term.
