Jake's Moving & Storage LLC

My husband and I moved out of a 3rd floor, 2 bedroom condo into a 3 bedroom condo (all one level). So, the guys had to take lots of furniture down 3 flights of stairs. Also, they took an extra good care of all our furniture, wrapped it really well with their moving pads. They were very efficient, and very careful with all of our items. They were super nice, and ask questions if they weren't certain where things were going. When we got to the duplex- they unwrapped everything, and put in all furniture in the places that I designated. They worked like clockwork, so very efficient, that our move in total took only 6 hours, instead of 7 hours as estimated.  It was great for us.  We would definitely choose them again, and most certainly recommend them. .

The movers did an excellent job, they were very professional and worked hard to accomodate specific requests such as removing the front door to get our sofa into the house.  The foreman even re-attached a closet door for me without having to ask him.  That's an example of going above and beyond, in my opinion.  The workers were courteous and very efficient.  The manager came out to the pickup location during the move to make sure everything was going well and that we did not have any problems.  Although the move did take a lot longer than the estimate we were given, we did have a lot of stairs in both homes.  I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for reasonable prices without having to sacrifice quality.  .

I had to hire Jake's moving & storage because the original moving company (Maubaums Moving) took 14 hours to pack a 1 bedroom apartment and never completely finished packing any room. Although the 2 gentlemen were very congenial, the job was not completely done and they weren't available to finish the job I ended up paying for anyway. I had to pay for the extra time I was in my apartment because the items left were to big to transport in my car. John, from Jake's Moving & Storage, was very accomodating and patient listening to my dilemma and the workers (3 packers) were prompt and very FAST. After the moving nightmare I experienced with the previous company, I was skeptical and quite nervous. I was able to quickly put my fears to rest because these gentlemen were all about business and got the job done. Overall, I would recommend this company to all my friends.

I did not contact this company for a moving job, But remove trash from the inside and outside of a rental property. I am a Real Estate Agent and am asked  many times for a moving company.  Since they di a great job for me with a trach problem, I have not problem telling my clients about Jakes a a moving company. I had this company haul trash from a rental property. Not only did they pick up all the trash that was in every room, but they brom cleaned every room. They cleaned the yard and porch. I would have not trouble calling them again! And the total price was reasonalble.

Found Jake's on this website and contacted them because they got great reviews.  They arrived in the window they committed to.  The team leader explained all the paperwork and policies, everything was upfront.  We agreed on the start time to calculate charges.  The three man team worked tirelessly, making sure our charges were minimized.  Everything was handled with extreme care (and this is something as my daughter is very picky about her stuff).  Team was very friendly and courteous.  Fee was reasonable given all the boxes that needed to be moved.  Would highly recommend Jake's to anyone. .

I started by calling the last company I used 32 months ago and they were booked solid. July 1 may be the worst date to need to move out of the year. In any case, I went down the Google list and Jake's was the first I came by that had availability. They were licensed and insured so I figured I was safe. John was very professional on the phone and got me set up with verbal and e-mail confirmations. The guys arrived an hour before the latest time John set, and a good thing too. It took from 9am to 2:30 to get the truck packed for 4 stops. I filled up their biggest truck and still needed more space..a word to the wise, when in doubt, go bigger. They will take things apart to get more in and protect your furniture. Could we have loaded quicker? Sure! But any mover worth their salt will take painstaking steps to wrap and protect your furniture. This is why it took 5.5 hours to load the truck. What made the day stressful was knowing the whole way that I needed to be fully into the new condo unit by 4pm..an impossible task when they arrived at the loading dock past 3pm. This is why I listed the delivery as late..but it couldn't be helped. I asked my sister to pray for me and the building manager allowed me the grace to use the freight elevator until 6pm. The move in to the new unit was finished by 5:15, and then when they had finished reassembling a few furniture items, we went onto stop 2, the storage space, to offload more items. The 3rd and 4th stops were single item drop offs and we concluded at 9pm. My only other advice is when moving into a condo, be very clear on elevator reservation details before signing a lease. Availability and time restraints can put a huge load of stress on you. Because of those details, this was one of the most stressful days of my life. All said, My experience with Jake's was great, the guys were funny, entertaining and accommodating. They got me moved with no breakage or incidents and I would fully recommend them, and will seek them out on our next move.

John was the first point of contact and set up our estimate, date, and time for the move. John was excellent because he covered everything we needed to know and expect on the day of the move. Simon and his crew showed up on time. They worked non-stop and were professional through out the process. They took care when handling our furniture, and we could not be more pleased. In the midst of the busy holiday season, I needed to move some VERY expensive (and heavy) furniture and misc. household goods out of my 10th floor apartment and into commercial storage. Having had some bad moving experiences in the past, I was apprehensive. I needn't have been. John, the customer service rep., took the time to really talk to me, assess my moving needs and answer all my questions. On the day of the move a 4-person crew showed up as scheduled, professionally wrapped my furniture, and made sure to handle everything with care. When I pointed out I had labelled some boxes as "Fragile", Dwight, the team lead, looked at me with all sincerity and said, "Don't worry.. we treat ever box like it's fragile." And they did! Everyone on the job crew was fantastic! And when all was said and done, John's time/cost estimate was spot-on! I highly recommend Jake's Moving and Storage.
