I strongly recommend Jake's Moving & Storage for the following reasons: 1) Jacob was very professional when I called to inquire about his company. He answered all my questions and emailed me very promptly the quote which was detailed and very informative, 2) John, the supervisor and his staff were very professional and efficient, 3) They treated every item in my place with respect. They wrapped everything skillfully, loaded them in the truck, and unloaded the stuff at my new place with utmost care, 4) They were patient and courteous throughout the moving process, even when it took more time than agreed upon to complete. I felt comfortable dealing with all the individuals I encountered in this company.
I will certainly trust Jake's Moving & Storage if I move again and will not hesitate to recommend this company to others as well.

Jake's is amazing. They came early and treated everything with care. Everything that meant something to me was wrapped and packaged so as to not get damaged. The crew of 3 men were incredibly fast and helpful. They took table legs off a large dining room table, wrapped a mattress, sofa and expensive seating chairs. Nothing was damaged or handled ruff. I used them once before this move and will use them again. They are professional, respectful and kind. Jake's moving crew understands that moving day is super stressful and they make it their business to take all your worries away. They truly are the best and moving.

My whole experience with Jake's Moving and Storage was excellent. It started with my initial conversation with John. He was very nice and informative about every aspect of the move. When I told him that I was moving on Sept 11th, we had a moment of silence for all those that were lost on that day. He scored major points by doing that. :)

On the day of the move, the 3 movers showed up on time and they did a wonderful job. They wrapped my furniture and were very careful with my items. I was impressed by the speed of the gentleman and they kept the talking to a minimum. They were all business.

One item was damaged during the move. Both the mover and John apologized for the damage. The claim was processed within 2 business days. I used to work in the claims department of a cargo shipping company, so I was already aware of the claim procedures. Jake's Moving and Storage responded to the claim and settled the claim much faster than the average claim time for their industry.

I would recommend Jake's Moving and Storage to anyone and I plan to use them again once I buy a house.

I had a need for a last minute move. I called and spoke to John, the general manager who was very helpful in setting up the move. Within 2 hours (maybe less) 2 men and a truck with a lift gate showed up at my office to help me move. They moved office equipment including a full size copier and even took it down a set of steps for me. Melvin and Manuel were very professional. They shrink wrapped or blanket wrapped everything. It was a rainy day so I was very happy about that. I really appreciated their great service and would highly recommend them to anyone for their residential or commercial move.

I moved in early July, and the customer service level is top quality. I enjoyed working with John on the phone, who was very thorough, honest, and helpful, and the crew that came to pack me up and move my things into storage were hard workers who got started right away and hustled for the whole day, until every last piece was expertly stacked in my storage unit. I would highly recommend them for service, price, and quality of work. They were very pleasant, easy to work with, and trustworthy. Thank you, Jake's!

After having a horrible moving experience 2 years ago I was delighted to find Jake's Moving and Storage. They were so professional and easy to work with from the first phone call till the end of the move. They will work with you the entire time and help make the move as easy as possible. In fact they even brought 2 men over in addition to the 3 that were there to make our move even faster for both us and the health/safety of their crew. I was very impressed. John the manager is simply amazing and always in touch. I highly recommend them for local moves or even longer ones! I won't use anyone else ever again.

Jake's was extremely affordable, courteous, efficient, and flexible. I called one day in advance about moving, and Jake's responded immediately to my questions and a quote. They were able to schedule me a time for moving within the next day. The team was polite, clean, thorough, and fast. They even finished slightly ahead of schedule. I'd never used a moving company before, and I was concerned about hidden costs or fees. This was not the case. I was very impressed and pleased with their service, and definitely recommend them to others.

I recently moved from Potomac to DC.
I spoke to so many moving companies and got so many estimates.
The reason I finally choose Jake's to move us, is because the office staff was so very pleasant, and the sales guy explained everything to me, without hiding anything or conveniently forgetting to tell me something important. Everything was explained to me very clearly. Even after I decided to use them for my move, he asked me again if I understood everything and he wanted to review the whole thing again before I booked the job with him, to be sure I understood everything properly.
The day of the move, the movers came as scheduled to my apartment. They were very professional and nice, and they made sure they handled my things with care.
In the end, I was Happy there was No damage to my furniture.
