Excellent customer care. From the first call to helping make the timeline.. every person was excellent communicator. The salesman provided superior support and explain the pricing and helped me pick the plan that made the most sense. He was extremely responsive and that is so rare. The team lead for the move was extraordinarily professional and helped me knock out a hard move with kindness and efficiency.

Day of move. Perfect at time management! The crew was the hardest working people I have experienced in any trade in decades. They maximized every second! My fine furniture was truly taken care of while they made sure the whole household was addressed.

I was so impressed and they took a stressful event and showed me why you need a good company to make it a good situation.

I like that Jake’s Moving and Storage is family owned and operated. I spoke with John three or four times before moving. I had questions and then I had some anxiety over the move. John reassured me about his movers and his foreman. If I had any questions that day, my foreman would know how to help me. They were awesome. Packed everything very well. I was very nervous about moving an heirloom, a 200 year old wall mirror. They packed it so well and handled it so well, I had no worries. With moving day being a stressful time for anyone, Jake’s Moving and Storage made my day easy. Thank you so much!

My sister referred me to Jake's Moving and Storage. I checked out her link and was very pleased to find they also have a long-term storage plan. I called and spoke with John, the general manager, and was quite impressed. All my questions were answered, all of my requests met, and a date was made for the move. Then the lock-down hit! John, the general manager was wonderful! We made alternative arrangements and he made it possible for me to stay at home and not have to travel. He met every need I had. The move went off exactly as planned, the movers were polite and efficient. wore PPE, and I couldn't be happier with everyone that made this possible. I highly recommend Jake's.

Every moment of my experience with this company was 5 stars. My contact at the business, John, did a wonderful job advising me on the move and answering my questions. After several phone calls (I was indecisive) and a detailed description of my move, he advised me to hire 3 movers for 3 hours, and they finished in exactly that time frame. I had them pack, load, and unload my household goods from the 3rd floor into a storage unit.

Even in my small bedroom, they worked like a well oiled machine! Very efficient and careful with all of my things. My previous movers struggled for 10+ minutes to get a heavy wood desk through a door frame - these guys? Did it on the first try like a piece of cake! The whole time they were extremely polite, and I appreciated that they arrived with their own masks as I was moving during the pandemic. I was extremely impressed and plan to hire them again in the future.

I contacted Jake's, my one and only call to a mover, after recommendation from a very particular friend who brought them 100 miles one way from DC to do a local rural move. After speaking with John at Jake's, I accepted the quote. I appreciated the "all inclusive" pricing and thought the price was fair, based on other moves I've done. I was very pleased with the service for my 100 mile move which was done in 6 hours. The movers showed up early, were professional, courteous and really hustled. I highly recommend.

I used Jake's Moving Co for my move from Maryland to Kentucky. I had never moved interstate before. I found John at Jake's after already contacting several local and large interstate movers and feeling totally discouraged and frustrated. John was patient, answered my questions, returned my calls timely, and explained everything in detail. He put up with my sometimes redundant questions. We decided on Jake's for the following reasons which made them completely stand out from all other out of state movers:

1. Locked in price - we did an inventory, a price was set, and it did not change. Every other company was going to nickel and dime us either for final rate or final square footage. I had more piece of mind knowing what I was paying and not getting a suprise.

2. Good and fast communication

3. WE HAD OUR OWN TRUCK! No other company offered this. Everyone else was putting our stuff in storage and transferring it to a truck with other peoples stuff, I appreciated my things not getting mixed with other peoples it made me feel that it was more secure.

4. Speediest delivery. I was quoted 7-21 days by every other moving company for delivery date. Jakes quoted me 24-48 hrs from requested delivery date, they arrived exactly when I had hoped and we had our stuff immediately.

5. No shuttle! Other companies wanted me to pay for a shuttle since a tractor trailer could not fit down my street. With Jakes our own (26 ft truck) was brought to my house and my stuff stayed on it.

We had the same movers in MD and KY which was great because we were familiar with them. They wrapped our items well and nothing was damaged.

I am so happy with how our move went. John helped take a huge stress off of me. I highly recommend for your interstate move- I called literally every other company in MD and no one else came close to providing the above, save yourself time and call up John and his team today.

Professionalism and mannerism were palpable from the first hello.

The quote was quick, fairly reasonable, and did not change at pickup.

Simon and his moving team were swift and very artful in executing their duty.

Even though there was a bit of delay in their proposed arrival time, their exceptional workmanship, professionalism and courtesy overshadowed that. Simon also kept me abreast of the setback and traffic situation enroute.

Finally, I was awed by the ease with which they lifted and transported extremely heavy items without any damage to walls. Delivery was flawless-- nothing damaged. Overall, they're pros at their craft.

Jakes Moving & Storage was an excellent company to work with. John, the General Manager, answered all my questions prior to the move of my elderly mother. The crew was on time and took extra care in wrapping her furniture. They were flexible, considering the larger elevator was out of order, but they still worked quickly and efficiently. They were kind and courteous and made my mom feel very at ease. I had called 4 moving companies to get an estimate, and Jakes was the only company that returned my call and on the same day. I believe they gave a fair price for the move. I would highly recommend using Jakes for your next move!
