I really can't say enough good things about this company. The management was able to handle our move with only a few day's notice. Four wonderful men arrived on time and in good spirits to help us during a personally diifcult time. They managed to move a very full 3rd floor walk-up condo, including heavy, large, overstuffed items, in just 4 hours. All items were treated with care, and they protected evrything from the pouring rain. They never complained about the workload or getting drenched in the rain, and even worked cheerfully and skilfully to fit everything into a single storage unit. What a wonderful world it would be if there were more people like these. Thank you so much for your compassionate and professional services.

Jake's Moving and Storage was excellent! I was moving out of state and needed a company to pack all of my heavy/large furniture and load it into Uhaul trucks. I hired a 3 person team. They arrived on time and followed all of my instructions. They were very professional and extremely nice. They had a positive attitude and were friendly and upbeat the entire time! They wrapped and moved my extremely heavy antique wood furniture without an issue. Very impressive. They made the process stress-free.

I also had them carry about 150 heavy boxes up from my basement and load them into a truck. They were quick and efficient. They followed all of my instructions about keeping certain boxes upright, not stacking things on certain boxes, etc.

Upon unloading/unpacking (after driving everything 400 miles away) I was very pleased to discover nothing had broken!

This company is excellent! If you want friendly and professional movers, this is the company!

Cannot recommend them! After about an hour on the phone and even providing room/ house pictures to the estimator, I can only assume they intentionally underbid the move to get my business and then charged me way more (in my case double) on the day. They require cash or bank check the day of services but since they were totally wrong in their estimate, we did not have the cash so they also charged us a 5% service charge to pay by credit card. Interesting, as to the unpacking, we dismissed the guys earlier saying we would do the majority of the unpacking ourselves but there was no savings or discount as now it was a flat fee, not hourly for the unpacking, only the packing end. Several items were damaged in the move but the worse was that their packers thought it was ok to stack in one box artwork/pictures without anything in between - no protection as backs of frames sat rubbing on fronts of other pieces causing damage. When I brought this to management's attention, they were rude and were all to happy to inform me that their liability was capped at $50 and I should have gotten extra insurance (read their fine print). They have no incentive to use more and proper packing materials since that cuts into their profit and since they do not have to worry about much liability. I am very unhappy.

I had a great experience with Jake's Moving & Storage LLC in May 2021. I had a complicated move that involved moving a whole house (and scooter!) to both a house under construction and to a storage unit. The Jake's moving crew was amazing. They asked me where each item should go, and listened to my instructions. The crew carefully wrapped and bundled all of my furniture and items and everything arrived unscathed. They also stayed until the (big!) job was done and I never felt rushed. I am very pleased with Jake's Moving & Storage and highly recommend this company.
