Dumbo Moving and Storage

I would never ever hire this company had I known what they were like. They stole thousands of dollars worth of my belongings, damaged my furniture and then said, "we expect a $600 tip, we dont make a lot of money". I felt threatened and cheated. I can tell you now, they are not worth the schmoozing you'll get when you first call. Every bad stereotype you hear about movers ... that's DUMBO. When I called to tell the man who intially quoted me (by the way, the quote was bull, they had to make a second trip and charged double) he said, "file a report for insurance". This was a very very bad experience. you have been warned!

Move size: 2 Bedroom Home Service cost: $4000

Abusive company!!! They rescheduled my move 4 times. I literally flew down from NY to FL to be available to meet them when they got my furniture because I had asked friends and family to meet them 3 separate times. I asked them to refund me for the move and they offered me a discount less than the price of my flight. Every time I called, I reached a different person. None of them had any idea what the other said and promised different dates and times! Will be reporting to better business bureau as well!

Move size: Partial Move Service cost: $1500

The employees that arrived yesterday were kind and professional. They were outstanding in equal measure. But once they started rolling, they kept going. To determine whether there was anything else they could do, they each asked me a series of questions for close to twenty minutes. They would be employed by me if I founded a business. really kind and generous. It was wonderful to have them manage our moving on such a demanding day. Please be assured that we would never hesitate to suggest Dumbo Moving to anybody in need of moving services. I genuinely appreciate it once more.

Ralph and his team have done a fantastic job relocating my home across the country. Their communication from start to finish has been responsive and efficient, keeping me up to date at all stages in the process. Their service has been both professional and friendly, helping to take much of the stress out of moving. They took apart and reassembled some furniture which was a real help. Everything arrived at my new home in good order and they have even offered to take away the packing boxes! The personal touches and excellent service were much appreciated. I would highly rate and recommend them without hesitation.

I had one of the worst moving experiences ever. The movers were really slow and seemed to intentionally do that so they can charge me for additional hours, even though they promised they would get it done in the allotted time. They also demanded that I pay for their parking ticket, which was not part of the terms of our agreement — they threatened to stop working if I didn’t pay. They then charged me for additional hours (again, despite their promise) and threatened to stop working if I didn’t pay. The sales rep was extremely rude and a pain to deal with. Avoid at all costs.
