Wow, I really don't know how to praise the staff at Dumbo Moving. These folks were excellent in every way. For example, this neat shrink wrap prevented my furniture from getting scuffed up during transit; bravo! Their innovative packing methods ensured that my collection of old-fashioned typewriters made the journey without a scratch. Strongly suggested!

When it came to loading and unloading my belongings, the crew gave it their all. Unlike previous movers I've employed in the past, they handled my items with extreme care. FLAWLESSLY!!

As soon as I contacted Dumbo Moving, they made it easy for me to relocate. They were able to provide me a price based on the information I gave them. They began following me and interrogating me as the day of my transfer approached. On the day I moved, I got a couple of text messages and an email with a bunch of links in it. I was aware of the car's location. You can put this to good use.

Highly unprofessional

They told me one thing and then changed it last minute, on more than one detail, when it was too late to do anything about it with my move two days away.

When I insisted upon them sticking to what they had agreed upon I was asked if I didn't need the move anymore.

I was assured that if they didn't need the shuttle truck, that they strong armed me into paying for up front, then the fee would be refunded.

When they were about to arrive at my new address I watched on the live map as they stopped three minutes down the street at a U-Haul. I called the phone number to ask about it and they lied to me saying they had another delivery(as if there would be two this close by on a east to west coast move). In actuality they were hurriedly loading my things into a U-Haul truck to go the last 3 minutes down the road to justify charging me for a shuttle truck. They were only there for less than 45 minutes and several of my things arrived damaged significantly, obviously from their haste. Nothing in the boxes I packed was broken I should mention, despite the moving guys practically throwing them in the least professional delivery I have ever seen.

I got into a long chain of emails with them disputing the charge since, totally aside from their lack of professionalism and damaging my property, there was no need to transfer to a smaller truck. I have seen much larger vehicles turn fully around in the wide space of the parking area/street that goes through my apartment. Not only did they outright lie and deflect with every ticky-tack nonsense answer in the book, jumping from one reason to another when they didn't stick, but they literally insulted me openly and made fun of/blamed me for signing the contract.

They settled with me for $500 dollars which pays for the fraudulent action of the totally unnecessary shuttle truck charge, which they wouldn't have done if I wasn't disputing their charge with Visa, but it still shows they know exactly what they did.

They did get the job done and the price wasn't unreasonable but they were so unprofessional that I would have happily paid more to have not had to deal with them.

I will be telling anyone who I ever run into who is looking for movers that might come across these guys to avoid them at all costs and have done so a few times already.

Immensely satisfied

The BEST choice I had was to collaborate with Dumbo Moving. Everyone I spoke with when I called to ask about some information regarding my upcoming move was friendly and useful. I can't thank them enough for how much they eased the tension of a difficult operation.

Nice Job

They arrived on time and began to work right away on my move. They showed me around the house and took care of the remainder after I advised them what to keep and what to throw away. All of my things and furnishings made it to my new home without causing any damage to the walls throughout the move. To put it simply, they have my strongest possible endorsement.

Stolen property and serious personal identity documents

I had approximately 50 Home Depot boxes and loose household items for them to place in storage before my family move me to my destination. Dumbo workers complained and gave me lip service about having to remove my property from the house, however, their boss new how many boxes I had and the size of my home, so I paid them $400.00 under the table. The company asked me to remove my review and they will refund the $400.00, which I did. However, they did not compensate me for a willing and acceptable loss of $800.00 of several stolen boxes of irreplaceable personal items and I subsequently realized it included Income Tax return documents stolen by their workers! I am a single woman employed with U.S. Customs and Border Patrol, Immigration & ICE, realizing they have stolen identity documents, I now have to file a report and also report them about their business practices in the United States. This truly has now turned out to be a Serious matter! My sincere advice and hoping they did not use my personal information, is to stay away and avoid this company!
