I have always moved myself to all my apartments and different homes. This time I decided to go with Direct Relocation Services. The whole process was made simple from the initial phone call all the way through the entire process. Michael and his team called to notify me they were on their way, and when they arrived they hit the ground running. These guys had us moved out and into our new place in a matter of hours. This whole process would have normally taken me a whole weekend. I couldn’t be more thankful that I hired Direct Relocation Services. I will never do my own move again. Thank you!

NEVER USE THIS COMPANY!!! Almost 6 weeks out, and our belongings have not even left our original state. First we got yelled at because we could not take delivery 10 days before closing on our home (which was the original delivery date we gave). They pulled fine print out of our contract to say they more time to delivery our items to us. I asked for simple updates twice, before I was told not to contact them again - basically "don't call us, we will let you know when we have an update". Management (Andrew in particular) has been worse to deal with than staff and flat out will not even acknowledge my requests for updates.

They claim we added items to the order at pick up, and charged us over $2000 more than the quote, despite my being very specific in the sizes of items. Also of note is the fact that I was told they are NOT a middle man, however, there is an entirely different company that picked up and is in possession of our belongings.

Based on the additional investigation I have been doing, this seems like a common nightmare with this company. I have never had such poor service or communication from any service provider in any industry. My initial contact with sales was fabulous - I thought this would be the best moving experience we've had, but it went immediately downhill the moment my money was received and I asked for an update.

I don't anticipate that my family will receive our belongings, and if we do, I am fairly certain that they will not be in good repair based on the retaliation that seems to be common against anyone speaking out about their experiences.

At this point, I wish I had gone with a big name mover that cost more... at least those companies understand that taking care of their customers is number one.

They were the quickest movers I've ever used. Belcher was highly professional throughout the entire moving process. I moved from a one-bedroom apartment into a storage facility, and Steve and Nelson wrapped, hauled, and helped organize my furniture and boxes into my storage facility in ONE short hour. They moved fast, were considerate of my furniture, and were highly respectful. I am using them again in 2 weeks when I move from the storage facility into my new apartment. I will also recommend them to all of my friends who are moving in the future!

Move size: 2 Bedroom Home Service cost: $4712

DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES HIRE THIS DISCUSTING COMPANY. Hired to move us from Georgia to Wisconsin on July 20, 2021. Truck broken can’t come till next day. Next day, truck still broken. Next day truck still broken. This is a 3,600 sq. ft. house that needs to be packed and moved. Suppose to arrive Tuesday, arrived Thursday after 3:30 after moving someone else. All of our things thrown in boxes, no paper wrapping. They were told NOT to touch anything on the fireplace mantel, they packed it all. My jewelry and medications are still buried in a box. Finished the next day AFTER we closed and no longer owned the house. Then they had to load truck. I had to hire some neighborhood kids to help load. Truck then went to a warehouse somewhere in Georgia for over 2 months. Daily I begged for my things to be delivered. All I got was a run around, excuses and rudeness. When things finally arrived there were all sorts of extra charges of course all in CASH. Total move was just under $30,000 for 800 miles. I have a number of rare 1960’s lucite chairs, DESTROYED. Tried to put in an insurance claim. IMPOSSIBLE. The insurance company makes it impossible to file a claim. First they make you download an unknown browser on your computer then there are all sorts of rules on filing. It’s a SCAM. Do not hire this company. I am very doubtful of the positive reviews of this company.

I read the glowing reviews of this company, and contracted with them for my interstate move from Florida to North Carolina. It appears that most of the good reviews were for local moves, not interstate. As I was a moving novice, I learned all the things I would do differently when dealing with moving companies. This company is up there with all the horror stories you read. I could go on for 3 pages of all the things that went wrong. Some problems could be chalked up to “things happen”, however, the areas they could control, they did nothing to ease the stress of the move. I preface this by stating that the owner of the company, Diego, personally came to our home and assured my husband and myself that his company would do everything to ease the stress of moving, and when specifically asked, stated that he personally would take care of damages if they should occur. These are some of the things that occurred:

Pick up was fine, but they kept on pushing up the date of delivery kept on moving up until it was 2 weeks after the pickup.

We were told delivery would be between 1pm and 3pm. They started to unload at 8 pm, and was still unpacking at midnight.

At time of delivery, we knew that an expensive electric fireplace ($1200) that inserted into our media center was missing. We were told at the time of delivery, that the box was in the warehouse, and would be delivered to us on the next truck to NC. Three weeks later, we were told that the box was destroyed, and to file a claim with Moving Claims.

Weeks went by, and as we unpacked, we realized that other boxes were missing. All our dishes, pots and pans, and sentimental things that we had collected over thirty years. They did reimburse us for dishes and the pots.

Communication was very poor. They wouldn’t call when they said they would, and then a manager (Andrew) said that I call too much.

We paid to replace the fireplace, and we’re not reimbursed the money.

We filed our claim with Moving Claims, and a few days ago finally received the settlement offer, $50!!!!!!! This has been going on since the end of July. I appealed, and today, they offered $80 as the FINAL settlement.

This is a review for the packing and loading part of the job. The delivery has not yet been made so I cannot comment on that. Mike and Dave arrived on time and overcame a few obstacles to find solutions to complete the job of packing the loose items we had expected were going to be packed by them, but they had not been informed. They worked consistently the entire time and communicated well together. They were personable, but did not waste time, they were in motion until the job was done. They returned to retrieve items I found about 20 minutes after they left, and were completely professional about the inconvenience. They followed up with sending me a photo of the updated inventory showing the added items. They had a good attitude from beginning to end. It's hard work and I appreciate all that they did. Thanks Mike and Dave.

Move size: Partial Move Service cost: $3200

Do not use this company. Their very quick to take a deposit and want money on pickup. Things I told them not to pack they did because the driver had me do paperwork so I couldn’t watch them. I called November 3rd and told them I wanted my stuff delivered. On November 6th I was told I would receive my belongings on November 8th-9th. I’m still waiting and borrowing money from my son because I’m sitting on a money order for 462.00. I’m a disabled Vietnam veteran, they have my health in jeopardy having to sleep,eat and sit on an air mattress. I’m dealing with an attorney about this. Pretty bad a company doesn’t care about disabled people.

Buyer beware!!! Read the other reviews. I don’t know if this is their thing - their scam - their line, but these are the facts of our move. You’ll see many similar themes in other reviews, specifically of the manager, Andrew, lying and evading calls; the team promising dates and not delivering; and a history of saying the can “broke down.”

- DRS has a great sales team. They sell you a “white glove” bill of goods.

- Moving day was relatively uneventful, but they packed everything in a box truck and said they’d be moving it to a different truck to wait for a long haul driver, but promised the delivery would be here before Christmas and/or within ten days (read the fine print!!!!! It says 30 business days is their delivery window)

- Christmas comes and goes and no truck. No phone calls. We would have chalked it up to the holidays but then the driver calls. First, he says he has side swiped another vehicle and the truck needs repairs. No word on our property.

- The next thing we know, the driver is calling again and this time he has a flat tire.

- Another day goes by and the driver is calling and saying he needs us to WIRE HIM CASH for gas or he can’t deliver our stuff. Ladies and gentlemen, this is called extortion. He was quite literally holding our property hostage.

- Meanwhile, the manager Andrew makes like he knows nothing of this and says he’s on top of it. He concurs that we should not pay the scam/bribe/driver. He also has no solutions.

- Our next update from Andrew is that the driver has been fired but that our property is supposedly safe and sound in a warehouse a few hours from our home.

- Days go by. His story changes. Now, the truck is in a service station for repairs - still no word on our property. He claims not to know when the truck will be available to get to us.

- No offer of remuneration. No second van or alternative transportation to bring our property to us. No indication of damage. No legal support for the driver.

- Communication has been dodgy. They called our emergency contact listed in our file and said we gave their phone number. The story keeps changing.

- We have lived in two other countries and seven other states. We have used long haul services for many of these moves. This is by far the worst we have ever used. Nothing short of a scam, complete with shifting communication and plenty of liability loopholes in their contract.

Bottom line: buyer beware, buyer beware, buyer beware!!!
