Mark was great to get the move.In saskatchewan they came a day late with no phone call. the man asked for a tip.He complained about the elevator.10 days later called to deliver in ontario. 2 hours late some scratches on furniture and a missing adjustable bed frame worth $650. after a week being ignored and hung up on by Mark I was told they cannot find it.Sorry for your inconvenience.I asked for a etransfer and Janet said read your contract.It has a $350 deductible plus >60 cents per lb so You are in a neg so you do not get a refund. Will I hire these fraudster again NO WAY. How can they lose 118 lb bed frame other than stealing it. I am not impressed.

In light of all the recent news around scammy movers, I suppose our move could have been worse. A lot of people don't ever get this stuff back. But for a while there, it felt like that was what was going on.

My wife and I moved from Toronto to BC. I reached out to Diamond for a quote. I had a lot of questions, since it was a significant move. How many times will our stuff be loaded and unloaded between Toronto and BC? Their answer: just once. Is it your company dealing with the move from end-to-end? Their answer: absolutely, just us! How long is the delivery window that you can guarantee? Their answer: 3-5 days. Then, over a month after the projected delivery date that was promised came and went, we found out that all our belongings were in the care of some other company in Vancouver, who was waiting to deliver to us until they had enough contents to fill a truck so that it was worth their time.

Dealing with this company after we signed the paper work and send our deposit was an absolute nightmare. And the longer we had to wait for our stuff after the promised date, the sketchier things got. Between surly customer service (at one point my wife called looking for answers as to the whereabouts of our entire apartment's contents and spoke with an owner or manager. She expressed that she was nervous given they couldn't tell us where our stuff was. He responded "Look, this is consolidated moving. This is how it works. And if you think this is a scam... CALL THE F***ING POLICE" and hung up. Charming. Of course, when I asked upfront, nobody mentioned consolidated moving. Also: rude.

When we finally got our stuff delivered, there were many damaged items. Broken lamps, ripped leather chair, and our espresso machine, which was carefully packed in a hi-vis box that said "Very Fragile" on every side, was loaded on its side, the box had been busted open on several sides, and the guy bringing it from the truck to the house dropped it on the sidewalk. While we were relieved that we did finally get our stuff back, the whole experience was sickening. Our stuff was picked up, dropped off at a warehouse, then picked up and loaded into a shipping crate, then unloaded into another warehouse, where it was finally loaded one last time and delivered. Not what was promised. But mostly, I want you to know that the people I dealt with were unreasonably rude, and wildly unhelpful. Yes, our stuff arrived eventually, but not before a month of stressing, many phone calls, and the mounting feeling that we had lost our stuff forever.

Move size: 2 Bedroom Home Service cost: $4500

We first reached out to this company in October for a moving quote. They gave us the quote and we confirmed with them that we would be able to move in November 1st. We moved across the country and they told us many times that November 1st was going to be fine.

They came on the pick up date 2 hours later than they said they would be there, and when they got there they told us that they couldn’t take anything “loose” and that everything had to be packed using their items. I would have a box taped and they would come up and re-tape it. They wrapped everything up and we just figured whatever, if it’s safer than what we had, it’s safer… except when we got the bill they charged us $600 for “packing fees”.

We moved in on the 1st… no truck. They told us they’d be another 2 weeks, saying they didn’t have a full truck to come across the country with, and it wasn’t “worth the trip” until it was. Not sure why they didn’t tell us beforehand that that was a possibility, but whatever I guess.

2 weeks goes by, nothing. We call every day and IF they answer, they tell us different things every time. First the truck left Ontario on the 3rd and it would be 5-7 days. 7 days later they email and tell us it actually left on the 7th, so not yet.

They finally showed up on the 17th of November… except they tell me I have “too much stuff” and that they couldn’t fit it all on one truck. They tell me that they’ll be able to make another trip “in a week or so” and to call the company the next morning.

We spend days calling with no answers. Leave multiple messages that go unanswered. Finally we get ahold of someone and they said the 29th or 30th of November. They refused to put anything except for large furniture where it should have gone, they told us that they would put boxes in one spot and that we would have to figure it out. They jam packed one of my bedrooms and the entire front foyer with boxes.

I think you might be able to tell where this is going… but November 30th comes along, which is more than a month since they picked up everything we own… they didn’t show up. Spend the next few days calling and finally get ahold of someone.. who told us they don’t have a set date for the rest of our items so we would just have to wait.

I had no bed because they didn’t bring all the proper things for it. I had to spend more money buying items I needed just to live for nearly 3 weeks without all of my things. My children didn’t have bed frames and had to sleep on mattresses on the floor. Didn’t have a TV because they didn’t deliver them. No pots and pans. Nothing. We essentially had to start over because otherwise we would have been left sitting on the floor with nothing for weeks.

We called and called. Nothing.

Finally they answer and tell us that the last of our items would be here between December 9th and the 15th.

They show up on the 13th, today, and we have broken items. A $400 play kitchen came into the house in pieces, with items snapped off and it was covered in some oily substance that has stained it brown. It is essentially a pile of scrap wood at this point. They broke all the doors off, snapped off any semblance of anything that could have been a toy and it is an expensive pile of garbage. When they arrived they initially tried to start putting items outside in the car port, and when we asked them to bring it inside, they loudly exclaimed “what the f***”, shook their heads and walked away, then ranted the whole time they were opening the doors. They then just piled everything again into one room and now we have to hope that they actually delivered everything, who knows at this point because it’s all one pile and getting ahold of them is next to impossible.

Do not use this company.

We waited 6 WEEKS to have our items delivered. The quote was double what they originally said(which ultimately isn’t an issue because it’s not like I had an actual weight of my household items, it was an estimate), they are infinitely frustrating to deal with, and thanks to this whole thing after already spending thousands to replace items we simply didn’t get delivered to us with no way of knowing if they were actually going to show up, I now have to replace a $400 kitchen.

Horrible, horrible experience. Don’t use this company.

We are very happy with our experience with Diamond Relocation. From the start, they responded quickly to my request for rates, and my emails were answered promptly. The movers were on-time, courteous, helpful, and professional. Plus, they worked really fast. We appreciated that there were no extra charges for stairs, shrink-wrap, or mileage. This was my first time hiring professionals for a move, and my husband's third time, and we were both impressed with the entire experience. We will definitely recommend Diamond Relocation to our friends and family.

If you patronize this company thinking that people were unfair about their reviews, trust me, you'd come back to regret your decision.

Items worth almost $2000 were broken/damaged and then they asked me to file a claim. Guess how much they paid me back $100! YES, you read right! $1 0 0!!!

And just so you know, they'd still end up charging you BEYOND the quote they gave you!

The ONLY time Mark or Austin will be pleasant to you on the phone will be before they got the business. Once they do, you become a pest to them. They don't even know what EMPATHY is!

Did I mention that my properties were delayed for 2 days???? Yes, it was. Reason was because the truck was impounded by the Police because of lack of proper documentation!

If your properties or your family means anything to you, STEER CLEAR from these guys!

The pick up driver was polite and professionaly. The company abruptly changed the pick up time, thus giving me less than 24hr notice to pick up, eventhough we had confirmed the dates 6 weeks earlier.

The delivery driver turned up late, he was in such a rush that there was no time to point out my concerns and sign off. He was rude and unprofessional. Some items were damaged/dirty - see pictures, calling the company was of no use.

Avoid this company because when things go wrong they turn nasty.
