Would give no stars if possible! Family member moving to my city. Hired movers to move from out of province. I was secondary contact I received one call, asking for full payment before truck could leave Ontario. Payment forwarded immediately. Truck was due to arrive the following week. Here we sit at 130 days WITH NOTHING!! No contents and now ignored communications. Lawyer has been retained and they are being ignored as well. Company is a scam, next week delivery should never turn into 130 days and this mess.

Move size: 1 Bedroom Home Service cost: $5000

Worst moving service ever. The “sales manager” Mark committed to a pick up time on my moving day. The mover called me prior my moving day to a completely different time frame. There are hidden fees and the pick up movers were not really professional when moving and packing my items. They also asked for “e-transfer for a final payment as they don’t take credit card for move that’s over 1000 dollar. I can’t schedule my delivery date and time and they just decided to show up in the delivery address with my broken marble table. Mark mention they have moving insurance before I decided to go with them but now they just completed disappearing on me as the irresponsible sales manager claimed ‘he did not move my table” and no one get back to me to pay me back my broken furniture.

Move size: 1 Bedroom Home Service cost: $1500

Pick on June 20 was fine, drop off however was horrible. The company has TERRIBLE COMMUNICATION and they do not answer their phones. We were told it would take 10 days and our truck would arrive July 1-3. Because we persistently called and texted and got through a couple of times to find out our things wouldn’t arrive until July 7-9, then it was July 13-14, then July 18-20. The truck finally showed up on July 16. If the experience wasn’t horrible enough, the drop off movers were the absolute worst. They refused to move any boxes from the first floor and refused take off their dirty shoes. They soiled our brand new carpets leading all the way to the 3rd floor! Now we have to have our carpets cleaned. They were also careless...boxes that were labeled fragile were not handled with care resulting in broken cups, dishes and office chair. Our round (very expensive) dining table was rolled into the house rather than being carried. Our walls have dents, scratches and dirty hand marks all over the house. They had no regard for our things, they were rude and really didn’t give sh*t that they were damaging our property.

As previous reviews stated, you can not pay your final bill by credit card. Which is absolutely ridiculous. The accounting department also had the audacity to reach out to us numerous times for final payment when it was impossible to get a hold of someone who could provide a status update of our belongings.

We also, as another reviewer wrote, incurred hundreds of dollars in extra expenses for our family of 4 (with 2 young kids) on air mattresses, bedding, clothes, household supplies (plates, cups, utensils) and living expenses due to the delay in delivery.

Our final bill was over double what was quoted.

I would advise you not to book with this company. They were a nightmare to deal with and should re-evaluate the way they do business.

I was moving from WPG MB to Abbotsford BC. Mark contacted me with a quote of $3650. Including everything. I was told I’d be getting a contract via email after they took my deposit of $200 via Credit Card. They picked up our stuff July 7th after many attempts to contact Mark, I was told that they would call me when they arrive, still no date given on delivery. I again tried many time with no luck of Mark answering his phone & VM was not available. I called the BBB for help as it now had been almost 2 months, I then contacted the Police who advised me what to do when I got a call from the accountant saying I owed $3701.90 & had to be paid by cash, MO, certified Cheque, they don’t take credit cards for payments. I had been so many different things and dates from this company WHEN I was able to get through to someone. Steve told me at 1 point my stuff was STILL in WPG MB, 2 months later. It took 71 days for our stuff to FINALLY arrive. We have many items damaged, broken including 75”TV broken, & many items missing. They went through our stuff as somethings were not where we packed them. Due to them taking so long has cost us more money we have kids who needed their beds, we had to buy new once’s & buy cooking items, things to eat off of and rent furniture. They made threats cause we haven’t paid them they don’t want to hear what’s damaged broken missing, they just want money. DO NOT USE THRSE GUYS!!! Even poor star not good WORSE star

Mark was great to get the move.In saskatchewan they came a day late with no phone call. the man asked for a tip.He complained about the elevator.10 days later called to deliver in ontario. 2 hours late some scratches on furniture and a missing adjustable bed frame worth $650. after a week being ignored and hung up on by Mark I was told they cannot find it.Sorry for your inconvenience.I asked for a etransfer and Janet said read your contract.It has a $350 deductible plus >60 cents per lb so You are in a neg so you do not get a refund. Will I hire these fraudster again NO WAY. How can they lose 118 lb bed frame other than stealing it. I am not impressed.

In light of all the recent news around scammy movers, I suppose our move could have been worse. A lot of people don't ever get this stuff back. But for a while there, it felt like that was what was going on.

My wife and I moved from Toronto to BC. I reached out to Diamond for a quote. I had a lot of questions, since it was a significant move. How many times will our stuff be loaded and unloaded between Toronto and BC? Their answer: just once. Is it your company dealing with the move from end-to-end? Their answer: absolutely, just us! How long is the delivery window that you can guarantee? Their answer: 3-5 days. Then, over a month after the projected delivery date that was promised came and went, we found out that all our belongings were in the care of some other company in Vancouver, who was waiting to deliver to us until they had enough contents to fill a truck so that it was worth their time.

Dealing with this company after we signed the paper work and send our deposit was an absolute nightmare. And the longer we had to wait for our stuff after the promised date, the sketchier things got. Between surly customer service (at one point my wife called looking for answers as to the whereabouts of our entire apartment's contents and spoke with an owner or manager. She expressed that she was nervous given they couldn't tell us where our stuff was. He responded "Look, this is consolidated moving. This is how it works. And if you think this is a scam... CALL THE F***ING POLICE" and hung up. Charming. Of course, when I asked upfront, nobody mentioned consolidated moving. Also: rude.

When we finally got our stuff delivered, there were many damaged items. Broken lamps, ripped leather chair, and our espresso machine, which was carefully packed in a hi-vis box that said "Very Fragile" on every side, was loaded on its side, the box had been busted open on several sides, and the guy bringing it from the truck to the house dropped it on the sidewalk. While we were relieved that we did finally get our stuff back, the whole experience was sickening. Our stuff was picked up, dropped off at a warehouse, then picked up and loaded into a shipping crate, then unloaded into another warehouse, where it was finally loaded one last time and delivered. Not what was promised. But mostly, I want you to know that the people I dealt with were unreasonably rude, and wildly unhelpful. Yes, our stuff arrived eventually, but not before a month of stressing, many phone calls, and the mounting feeling that we had lost our stuff forever.

We first reached out to this company in October for a moving quote. They gave us the quote and we confirmed with them that we would be able to move in November 1st. We moved across the country and they told us many times that November 1st was going to be fine.

They came on the pick up date 2 hours later than they said they would be there, and when they got there they told us that they couldn’t take anything “loose” and that everything had to be packed using their items. I would have a box taped and they would come up and re-tape it. They wrapped everything up and we just figured whatever, if it’s safer than what we had, it’s safer… except when we got the bill they charged us $600 for “packing fees”.

We moved in on the 1st… no truck. They told us they’d be another 2 weeks, saying they didn’t have a full truck to come across the country with, and it wasn’t “worth the trip” until it was. Not sure why they didn’t tell us beforehand that that was a possibility, but whatever I guess.

2 weeks goes by, nothing. We call every day and IF they answer, they tell us different things every time. First the truck left Ontario on the 3rd and it would be 5-7 days. 7 days later they email and tell us it actually left on the 7th, so not yet.

They finally showed up on the 17th of November… except they tell me I have “too much stuff” and that they couldn’t fit it all on one truck. They tell me that they’ll be able to make another trip “in a week or so” and to call the company the next morning.

We spend days calling with no answers. Leave multiple messages that go unanswered. Finally we get ahold of someone and they said the 29th or 30th of November. They refused to put anything except for large furniture where it should have gone, they told us that they would put boxes in one spot and that we would have to figure it out. They jam packed one of my bedrooms and the entire front foyer with boxes.

I think you might be able to tell where this is going… but November 30th comes along, which is more than a month since they picked up everything we own… they didn’t show up. Spend the next few days calling and finally get ahold of someone.. who told us they don’t have a set date for the rest of our items so we would just have to wait.

I had no bed because they didn’t bring all the proper things for it. I had to spend more money buying items I needed just to live for nearly 3 weeks without all of my things. My children didn’t have bed frames and had to sleep on mattresses on the floor. Didn’t have a TV because they didn’t deliver them. No pots and pans. Nothing. We essentially had to start over because otherwise we would have been left sitting on the floor with nothing for weeks.

We called and called. Nothing.

Finally they answer and tell us that the last of our items would be here between December 9th and the 15th.

They show up on the 13th, today, and we have broken items. A $400 play kitchen came into the house in pieces, with items snapped off and it was covered in some oily substance that has stained it brown. It is essentially a pile of scrap wood at this point. They broke all the doors off, snapped off any semblance of anything that could have been a toy and it is an expensive pile of garbage. When they arrived they initially tried to start putting items outside in the car port, and when we asked them to bring it inside, they loudly exclaimed “what the f***”, shook their heads and walked away, then ranted the whole time they were opening the doors. They then just piled everything again into one room and now we have to hope that they actually delivered everything, who knows at this point because it’s all one pile and getting ahold of them is next to impossible.

Do not use this company.

We waited 6 WEEKS to have our items delivered. The quote was double what they originally said(which ultimately isn’t an issue because it’s not like I had an actual weight of my household items, it was an estimate), they are infinitely frustrating to deal with, and thanks to this whole thing after already spending thousands to replace items we simply didn’t get delivered to us with no way of knowing if they were actually going to show up, I now have to replace a $400 kitchen.

Horrible, horrible experience. Don’t use this company.

We are very happy with our experience with Diamond Relocation. From the start, they responded quickly to my request for rates, and my emails were answered promptly. The movers were on-time, courteous, helpful, and professional. Plus, they worked really fast. We appreciated that there were no extra charges for stairs, shrink-wrap, or mileage. This was my first time hiring professionals for a move, and my husband's third time, and we were both impressed with the entire experience. We will definitely recommend Diamond Relocation to our friends and family.

If you patronize this company thinking that people were unfair about their reviews, trust me, you'd come back to regret your decision.

Items worth almost $2000 were broken/damaged and then they asked me to file a claim. Guess how much they paid me back $100! YES, you read right! $1 0 0!!!

And just so you know, they'd still end up charging you BEYOND the quote they gave you!

The ONLY time Mark or Austin will be pleasant to you on the phone will be before they got the business. Once they do, you become a pest to them. They don't even know what EMPATHY is!

Did I mention that my properties were delayed for 2 days???? Yes, it was. Reason was because the truck was impounded by the Police because of lack of proper documentation!

If your properties or your family means anything to you, STEER CLEAR from these guys!

The pick up driver was polite and professionaly. The company abruptly changed the pick up time, thus giving me less than 24hr notice to pick up, eventhough we had confirmed the dates 6 weeks earlier.

The delivery driver turned up late, he was in such a rush that there was no time to point out my concerns and sign off. He was rude and unprofessional. Some items were damaged/dirty - see pictures, calling the company was of no use.

Avoid this company because when things go wrong they turn nasty.

I recently hired Diamond Relocation for my move and I couldn't be happier with the service they provided. The booking process was easy and straightforward, and the team showed up right on time on moving day. They were careful with all of my belongings and took extra care with fragile items. They worked quickly and efficiently to load everything onto the truck, and the same was true when we arrived at my new home. Overall, I would highly recommend Diamond Relocation to anyone in need of a reliable, professional moving company.

This company is terrible! They are most accommodating on the phone when they want the business but when you want answers on where your things are , they are nowhere to be found. Mark the sales person was the most reassuring person you could speak to. As such I decided to use them to move my 84 year old mother. Not only did they break things , they lost 15 boxes of clothes, small appliances and sentimental items.They refused to take responsibility and payout the insurance claim we put forward, citing some legal ease which benefits them. They could not account for the lost items (which we’re probably stolen). We told them that we have boxes that don’t belong to us and they couldn’t care less. Some other customer is looking for their stuff as well. No offer to help locate the owner of that stuff either. They promised one date and couldn’t even keep that date. But they sure wanted their money though. Going as far as wanting a pic of the draft before delivering the items.

Please believe me!!

Stay away from this business and pay the extra for more reputable companies or better yet, do it yourself.

They are thieves hiding behind a business license.!!

I hired the Diamond Relocation moving company to move from Ottawa to Vancouver in July 2023. They damaged my furniture and were not responsible for that and I don't recommend them at all.

First, I had booked the move with full packaging service for July 26th, but they had it on file for July 29th!! and on the 26th when I called them, they told me they can just send the truck for 5 pm, and I have to pack my stuff by myself! You could imagine how stressful and difficult is to pack everything in just 8 hours!

In addition to that, they lost two wheels of my bed drawer and two coffee table legs. More importantly, they also broke the headrest (the insert part where it is attached to the chair base) of my Autonomous AI chair that I bought just 6 months ago. The chair cost me about $600 and the part can't be replaced since it is a one-piece with the chair base. When I claimed damage insurance, they told me I'm entitled to only 60 cents per lb minus a $350 deductible which means I get nothing in this case! This also means even if they threw out my entire furniture I would be just compensated for my moving cost minus $350 !!

Mark -who is the contact person when you call the company- is also rude and doesn't answer emails and contacts as soon as they get your first deposit.

Overall, I am so upset and regretful about my decision to hire this company and don't recommend them at all.

I ordered a pick up july 27 and they showed up July 29th. Then they took the legs off couch and chairs ans tvs . Which was fine but they lost them. Then they came 13 after Aug 11th. And when I called on the Aug 11 the man that answered told me I was clueless and had no brains when I asked why he said you think we could come in that many days while we booked other people. Then he called hours later to tell me I had mental issues:( bc I asked where our furniture was.

When we finally got stuff like said legs were gone. Two boxes gone. And many things broken. And all they said was sorry. Don't book with this company bx they will also quote you then double price. The owner has been ignoring me as well. When it was him personally that quoted me. If u want stuff gone or broken book but I wouldn't

I would like to share all my story details with this company:

On August 2nd, I moved my belongs from Montreal to Langley (BC) using this invoice number (DR1377).

The delivery date was set for August 17th. But as soon as we saw the furniture, we were enraged. So we called Mark (the Salles representative who contacted me to offer the service and relocate Diamonds), but he simply disregarded the call.

To begin with, the folks who picked the furniture did not wrap it in blankets as specified in the contract. I covered every single item from my side to provide further protection for my NEW furniture, however the company broke this agreement by exposing my furniture to scratches, cracks, and even water.

Second, there is a missing item worth (140$+tax) that I did not receive. T-Rex Dinosaur Hot Wheels Toy Car Track Set City Ultimate Garage.

Third, I received a bicycle (worth $600+ tax) without wheels.

Fourth, the queen bed (worth $1,000 + tax) was cracked and could no longer be used; add to that the scratches covering every single pieces.

Fifth, a twin bed (500$+tax) with numerous scratches; I will be unable to sell it.

Sixth: a huge wardrobe (worth $700 + tax) full of dings and dents.

Seventh: A shelving unit (worth $130 plus tax) that is riddled with cracks and scratches.

Eighth: kitchen island (worth 225$+tax) with crakes and scratches, as well as legs missing end protection.

Ninth: foldable table (worth $359+tax) with crakes and scrapes.

Tenth: I have four large mirrors with scratches on the frames.

And a lot more. I opted to transfer my furniture because it was all new and I didn't want to sell and buy it all over again. I had faith in that company, yet I was let down. Some of the items were on water and dirty!!!

I know these accidents always happened, but when using blankets + extra wraps it is not supposed. All these problems are signs of how negligence and recklessness in dealing with my furniture.

After that, I made claim, and this is the response I received after waiting more than 8 weeks:

Based on the terms and conditions section 2 your damages are within the deductible of $350.

Based on the approximate weight of 52.92 pounds multiplied by the $0.60 per pound ( 52.92 * 0.60 = 31.75 ) ( 31.75 - 350 = -318.25 ) this total comes up to negative $318.25 in actuality you are not eligible for a payout.

In regards to your claim I have added the terms and conditions below

Terms and Conditions

Number 6.

The carrier or party in possession shall be liable for physical loss of or damage to any articles from external cause while being carried or held in storage-in-transit EXCEPT loss, damage or delay caused by or resulting:

(e) - carrier is not responsible for boxes packed by owner, if piece of furniture has difficulty entering an area; carrier is not responsible for floor, wall and piece of furniture.

(g) – Shipper hereby releases the company of any and all responsibility in the handling and transportation of all uncrated mirrors, marble, pictures, glass tops, lamps or lamp shades, box spring, mattresses, all other unpacked fragile items, plastic covers from cracking or tearing, all breakable packed in cartons and all pressed wood furniture not dismantled by customer.

9. Valuation

(c) no carrier hereunder will carry or be liable in any way for an documents, special jewelry, rare stamps and coins, antiques or for any articles of extraordinary value not specifically rated in the published classifications or tariffs unless a special agreement to do so.
