I can't express how good this company was to deal with, right from the start.
And it all finished with 2 very helpful, cheerful, polite movers making what can be a very stressful day a lot less so.
They were tidy and placed lots of protective coverings both on the floors and the furniture. Nothing was damaged and they helped to take items apart and back together when it was required.
I would and will happily recommend this company again to my friends.

I wanted to move the contents of a 3 bedroom flat in central London to a farm house in West Sussex (not Brighton, that's just the nearest place I could select on this website).  Some stuff was still in the flat but most was in storage a few miles away, so loading was done from two locations.  I got about a dozen quotes from different removal companies with a range of about £550-£750. City-Removals was somewhere near the middle of the pack in terms of price, but with so many good reviews on this website I decided to go with them.  I'm glad I did - the service was excellent and well worth the small extra cost (compared to the cheapest quote).  I thought that loading from two locations might add to the cost, or cause some problems, but City Removals were fine with it. I was away prior to the move so couldn't arrange a site survey, but City Removals were happy to proceed on the basis of my expectation that we'd need a 7.5T truck and two men. Communications were clear and straight-forward throughout.  On the day they actually provided two Lutons and two men, which was fine.  They were scheduled to arrive at 8am but arrived early, which gave us a good head start.  I'm selling the flat so was concerned that no damage was done to the walls, floors, or doors during the move.  The guys were very careful and did a great job.  Everything was wrapped in blankets and secured to the sides of the vans.  I had some items that needed to be dismantled and they made short work of those.  I also had one extremely tricky item - a treadmill- which had been constructed on-site.  I didn't think we'd get it out to be honest, but the guys were very persistent and after some careful and extremely tricky manoevering they managed to get it out without damaging any walls.  The guys headed off to the storage unit while I dealt with a few things, and didn't mind at all that I kept them waiting half an hour.  Loading from storage was fast and smooth, as was unloading at the other end.  All in all I can't fault the service.  Really excellent.  I would definitely use them again (and did in fact, when I moved my parents).

It was quite a big deal for me to fork out the money to pay for a removal company, but I'm very pleased I did. I found City Removals on this website and they were exceptionally well reviewed. Their experience and professionalism showed immediately as they got in touch regarding my gross underestimation of how many boxes I would need to move and gave me some advice as to how many men and what size van would be needed which proved very astute. They also looked into parking at both ends of the journey and made me feel very at ease with the whole process.

The move itself went very smoothly. The deliverymen were courteous, quick, strong, and worked without complaint. They beat us to the new property and everything was in in no time. They also took away some items we no longer wanted, including a last minute decision which was made after the prior items were already on their way to the recycling firm.

The two guys, Mike and Alex turned up on time and were thoroughly professional the whole day. Two nicer guys you will not meet, everything you want from movers, hard working, friendly and very helpful.
The guys went out of their way to get all my stuff packed into the truck (which they only just managed to do). They were very careful with my stuff and wouldn't let me help even when I offered.
I recommend these guys and this company for anyone moving.    .

We have recently moved out  of our 2 bedroom flat from Kensington to Wandsworth.We also had a home survey done,which helped us a lot in deciding which company to go with.Thier price came somewehre in the mid range,but we felt our best option is to go with them as we were impressed by the number of reviews they had.
All turned out as expected, with the crew being very proffessional and polite.Nothing was damaged or stollen,everything got completed on time and with no stress.
Also eveyrthing we were told during the home survey happened as the crew used covers, hanging boxes,wrapped things and were generaly very carefull.
They also came and collected the boxes and paper after we finished unpacking .
Very good company to work with.

I cannot recommend City Removals enough. I had a unique situation in that I had 2 locations for furniture pick-up (one from my childhood home and one from my rental flat) to drop off at a 3rd destination. I paid an incredibly reasonable price for 2 men with a large luton van to come to the first destination (zone 5 in London) to take down my wardrobe and bed and to do the same again at my rental property in Zone 1 London. At the end destination, they unloaded everything and re-assembled all furniture. They were 1) prompt at arrival 2) the van was absolutely unscratched demonstrating how careful the driver is 3) the men were not fluent English speakers but understood enough to do an excellent job and were hard-working, professional, clean and incredibly careful with my furniture and the surroundings at all 3 locations. They arrived at 9.30am (promptly) and were with us till 7.30pm. They were positive, courteous, obliging and couldn't be any more helpful despite non-stop lifting and going up and down many a flight of stairs. Since the move, I have recommended City Removals to many friends needing a referral. .
