Movers Were Professional.

Every single member of the crew was careful, quick, kind, efficient and professional. It was interesting, watching how these guys swiftly wrap and whisk our stuff into the truck, then out. Not a single item was damaged. They were early and ended up charging considerably less than the estimate. Excellent experience all around!!

Service cost: $670

Official company response

Dear Tom, In this concern, we are happy when we receive these kind of positive reviews. Thank You for highly appreciating us!

Long-distance move from Alberta to Ontario

2nd Time With Centennial Moving.

First time I hired them to help me move, was when my sons were moving from Calgary, to Vancouver about a month ago and now I’m doing the same. I believe that if someone does a good job that they deserve to be hired again and here I was now, packing and moving my things with the same crew, now this second move is from Calgary to Toronto.

Service cost: $2930

Official company response

Philip, we are definitely happy to hear that your move went smooth. It was pleasure to help you relocate. We are looking forward to help with anything else you'll ever need to move! Warm regards and if there is a need, looking forward to moving you again!

Long-distance move from British Columbia to Ontario

Moving.

I used their services in May 2016. Moved from B.C. To Ontario. VERY disappointed. My furniture arrived with scratches and one 42 inch Samsung smarty TV was totally destroyed. It was completely squashed. I felt like they were nickel and dime ping me from the get go. They wanted to,charge an additional $30. "Handling" fee for a small chest freezer. They would not provide proof, that the weigh bill was in fact my contents. I had to fight for a measly $100. Settlement for my squashed TV.
I had used sir services in 2007'when we moved from Ont to BC with no problems and I was very happy. This time returning to Ont from BC was a nightmare. The have really gone down hill. Won't used them ever again. I feel that we have been ripped off.

Service cost: $7900

Long-distance move from Vancouver, BC to Longueuil, QC

Disastrous experience with Centennial!!

Myself and my fiancee moved from Vancouver BC to Montreal QC in on February 27th.

We contacted Centennial Moving in January to schedule our move and agreed to have our things picked up on Monday the 26th of February.

On Friday the 23rd I received an email informing me that they were changing our pick up date to either Wednesday February 28th (which was two days after our originally agreed pick up date and clearly would not work for us), or Sunday February 25th.

I sent an email stating that Sunday the 25th would work for me, despite that being a day earlier than we had originally agreed upon.

I then received an email from Centennial stating that Sunday would not work and it would have to be Wednesday, since this was not working for us and I was clearly massively concerned at that point, I decided to call one of Centennial’s employees, Warren. The only option given by Warren was to have our things picked up on Saturday at 9am to which we had to agree as we had NO other option. This call was made at approximately 2pm on Friday the 23rd, so 19 hours before the new pick time they were imposing on us.

Myself and my Fiancee both took a half day off work and went home to pack up our entire apartment. Cancelling all plans we had for that evening and packing late into the night. We weighed and marked every box and item we were shipping and we had a total of around 1300 lbs.

We woke up Saturday in time to be ready for the Centennial drivers to come pick up our stuff at 9am. At 9:15, we received a voicemail saying it wasn't going to work that day due to the weather, and that our collection would be rescheduled for Monday the 26th. The original date we had agreed upon.

At this point we had both taken a half day off work in order to pack and thus had missed out on a half days pay each as a result of Centennials mistake. Furthermore, as we had packed everything up on the Friday, ready to be picked up on the Saturday morning, we had no means of cooking or even eating food in our apartment so we had to eat out for breakfast, lunch and dinner on the Saturday and the Sunday.
All this combined had left us with around $350 less in our pockets, as a result of Centennials mix up. Not to mention the stress and hassle we had gone through at having to pack everything up last minute.

On Monday, the drivers came and took our stuff.

We called Centennial and enquired about how they were planning on compensating us for their mistake. We were told the best they could offer was $50.

We of course declined and informed them that they needed to come up with a better offer.

We then received an email asking what we would consider “fair compensation” for their mistake. We informed them that due to us both taking a half day off work in order to pack had cost us $200 and that would be least amount they could offer. $200 barely covered the amount we had actually lost out on, so couldn’t even really be considered compensation, it was more of a reimbursement. They replied and offered $100, the “best” they could do according to them.

At this point we had had enough of dealing with this company so were forced to accept.

Later, we had to contact them to ask for our bill (after the scaling of our stuff) so we could see the total, this should have been sent to us as soon as they had it. We received an email stating that our total weight was 1860 lbs. No bill or breakdown or official document. Just an email saying that was our weight and how much money we owed.

I asked for a copy of the official weigh ticket and I received back an email attachment of a photocopy of piece of paper with a Centennial watermark. Not exactly an official weigh station ticket. They completely made up the weight and the weigh ticket is made by them stating our things had been weighed by an official operation manager of Centennial. They refused to provide a real scale station ticket. A real scam.

At this point we resigned ourselves to just pay the amount Centennial said we owed despite the total weight they came up with being 500 lbs heavier than the weight we believe we had. We were done dealing with this company and absolutely drained by hassle caused by them.

I cannot stress enough how bad this whole experience has been. The staff being robotic and massively unfriendly, the changing of pick up times last minute, the over charging, the unofficial documents, the TERRIBLE customer service. The whole ordeal has been a nightmare.

I would never recommend Centennial to anyone and would urge people to avoid them at all costs. Their original cost estimates are lower than other companies, but they just jack up the price at the end. The overcharging made sure that they got back the “compensation” they had “offered”.

Long-distance move from British Columbia to Ontario

Do Not Use This Mover!

DO NOT USE!!This company is not credible. After 30 emails and constant communication they still did not do their logistical work diligently. They called us and asked to pick up 2 days early and were told we would not be home because we were taking the kids to fly out that day. So My wife stayed home and they were told I would not be there. 2 days before the move they called me and asked for My address..AGAIN! After they were unable to see the house from google street view they called and asked for pictures. I had to make a trip to the house to take pics and send them. Then they asked for more. So I sent more. They confirmed their driver said he could access the house from the road as it was a rural property. The driver himself confirmed it!! So now on pick-up day he shows up with a 72' long truck and trailer combination that could NOT access the driveway. At 1:30 pm yet. AND HE WAS ALL ALONE!! No helpers, no one not even ME! So I get a call from the head douche that said they needed a shuttle. The shuttle would have to be rented from 20 miles away and they only had a van to move the equivalent of a 3 bedroom apartment, office, and 30 boxes as well. I asked how much. $150. I said no. They called back and said free. That is when I found out the driver was alone and would have to park his truck in the city, run back and forth with the shuttle until the move was done. Only with a regular van, no help and no ride from his truck to the U haul agent.SO FREE MEANT NOTHING..THE MOVE COULD NOT HAPPEN IN ANY TYPE OF A REASONABLE TIME FRAME!! You can bet I was going to pay large some how. That is when I demanded My $600 deposit back and was denied. I rushed home to try and save the move. But the driver never returned. I never even met the guy. So then the douche told Me it was My fault and I would never get my deposit back. After many many conversations I was threatened [legal action] Degraded and humiliated by the [EDIT]. He even said "GOOD LUCK"..WOW!! So now with 6 days left to move from BC to Southern Ontario I could not find an affordable alternative. I had to purchase a 34" trailer, {used $14,000] get it delivered to us for $500 and had to sell or give away a ton of stuff. Then I had to sell the trailer I had already bought the week before for My tools and toys because I could not take 2 at once. Obviously. So I lost $1500 fire saleing that small trailer I really wanted to keep. So now a 5 day drive with My pickup and a small trailer turned into an 8 day nightmare with this giant sail behind me not to mention pulling it through the rockies. So My experience with these guys did not end there. Captain douche finally offered Me $200 for My troubles. So he makes $400 for nothing, I loose thousands and thousands of dollars, get stuck with a ginormous trailer I don't want, stressed My wife out beyond limits, looked like and idiot to my family and piers AND I was then told for every bad review I would get "sued" by this meat stick. [EDIT] YURI..I WILL SEE YOUR FILTHY [EDIT] IN COURT! [EDIT].

From Montreal to Vancouver.

We are very happy to have chosen Centennial Moving. The removal and delivery dates have been respected. All our furniture has been packaged with care, and at no extra cost. Customer service is responsive, I always had an answer during the day.
You just have to remember that this is a company that groups together several moves to be able to offer good prices, so you have to have some flexibility in terms of delivery dates and times. But this allows to have really a very good quality of service / price ratio.
I highly recommend !!
