Simplicity Expressed

Trying to express through this review how simple our relocation was with Centennial. Have never moved cross province before so there was trepidation about how to get our items from Vancouver over to Toronto. The whole experience with Centennial was excellent , it just felt like we meant something to them and they regularly checked with us to make sure everything was in order, so cannot recommend enough!! Huge thank you!!!

Long-distance move from Toronto, ON to Surrey, BC

Treat your movers better!

Move from Toronto to Vancouver.

- I paid extra 1k for packing service, but the packing was not done very professionally (for which I do NOT blame the crew because they were overworked and exausted). The packing crew IS the moving crew (3 people in total) and they ended up working from 9am to 9pm on the moving day!

- THE BIGGEST problem I have with the moving company is that they sent insufficient crew members everytime! I told them and sent them pictures of how many things I have to pack and move, they sent 3 people to us in Toronto and only 2 people in Vancouver for moving funiture and nearly 100 boxes into a 3-story townhouse! Those 2 poor men were exausted! they didn't have enough time to rest, and there's no extra crew to help them or move heavy things in turns. We ended up telling them to put all our boxes in the living room and we had to do a lot of moving ourselves.

- No in-person estimation, I submitted my inventories and the actual price is a lot higher than my quote (which I accepted but it would be a lot better if there's in-person estimation before the quote).

To be fair, customer service Nicholas is fine and all the moving crew are helpful and nice people.

BUT Overall, will not recommend to anyone or use the company again because I don't think they treat their employees well. All the crew members are Ukrainians recently arrived in Canada, they deserve to be treated better :(

We could not find any concerns that you mentioned here communicated to us on either the pick up day or delivery day. Full packing and loading may take extra time depending on how many loose items need to be packed and it is normally a full day job. You had more than 150 items. If you feel that an in-person estimate would be more beneficial, we are certainly taking this feedback very seriously and will implement it in the future. As far as the delivery is concerned, it was done in 3 hours and 47 minutes which is quite remarkable for this size of the load. Please note that the number of people involved in pick up and drop off was discussed with you and approved by you. We are committed to our very hardworking moving crews and always treat them fairly. Figured it all out

I had a wonderful experience with Centennial moving during my move from Regina to Toronto. The movers did a great job trying to figure out how to fit everything in my storage box. They were professional, friendly, and knew what they were doing. I highly recommend them. Also, they accommodated my needs when I moved my move-out date a couple of times and they didn’t complain.

Recommend!

Centennial moving helped me move twice, everything went nice and smooth, customer service was really helpful, gave me all the necessary information.
The moving team was very reliable, came in time for the pick up and delivered in time as well. Would definitely recommend them to my friends and use their service in the future.

Good job centennial!

I recently moved with centennial from Whitewood SK to Toronto ON, it was the best out of all the companies that I worked with before, very professional staff,positive, smiling and they knew what they were doing, communication with the agents was on level beyond my expectation , great experience, good job centennial!

Long-distance move from Vancouver, BC to Toronto, ON

Not at all the service nor experience I expected based on the reviews.

I moved my belongings from Vancouver to Toronto. Like other reviewers I ended up paying twice the quotable amount for a 1 bedroom apartment weight. Funny, I didn't even have all the fixtures of a one bedroom I.e. bed frame, dresser etc. Just a mattress, no couch, side tables or anything and still my belongings weighed in at double the weight! The problem I had with this experience is I literally had to guide the process myself, ask all the questions, double check I wasn't going to be nickle and dimed with "extras" and was met with "silence" when I said I was unhappy with the service along the way and thus concerned. The patronizing attitude I got from the Store Manager made me sure that I was going to share my experience. We live in a capitalistic country, SERVICE MATTERS or you seek out the competitor. The Manager told me "I was wasting his time, he didn't see the problem and they can't guess all the questions people had out there. I likewise did not see a contract that would have allowed me to elect supplemental insurance or services. My goods arrived later than I was told, then they told me I would have to pay another $200 dollars if the truck/trailer couldn't fit on my street (they waived it later because my goods were received a full week later than expected). 1/4 of my framed pictures ended up arriving broken. Given the attitude of the business I didn't even bother to try and claim them. I'd had a terrible experience and just wanted it over with. I had requested additional packing and they told me I didn't. I picked this service based on the reviews and wonder if I just got the dud? But I dug a little deeper and noticed others have had the same experience. Next time, I'll take a bit more time on this. I think it does matter where you've learned your "Customer Service" training from. These folks bring to bear a non "north american" service model which means, they are always right and the rest of us are just lucky they are doing the work for us. If I hadn't asked consistently what are all the steps? Is there supplemental insurance I can purchase? When will my goods arrive? etc. etc. it was never offered up. I had to keep following up myself! Not good enough and given it ended up being more than double the quote with a weight that I couldn't verify and when asked if I could was told that would cost me extra too! Overall, avoid this service if at all possible.

Excellent experience from beginning to end. Everything went as planned and agreed. Very professional staff nothing seemed to be an issue.
I recommend this company to anyone needing a mover.

Great experience.

From the start working with Hozan one of the sale staff I had such a great experience with this company. I moved from Calgary to Toronto and my belongings were pick up on time as well drop off with no issues at all. I would recommend this company to anyone who’s moving long distance.

Local move from Ottawa, ON to Toronto, ON

Moving with Centennial was a blast!

No stress at all because the movers and the customer service staff had it all covered and had answers to all my thousand of questions. The move went better than I though it would as last time I moved wasn't that good. Thanks Centennial Moving and I'll use you again guys although hope this would be my last time lol.
