Long-distance move from New Jersey to Illinois

Don't waste your time & money.

We were moving from the east coast to the mid west and we had read good reviews about Beacon so we decided to get a quote from them. The sales person was helpful and we were able to get a good price from them.  The problem began on the day of the move.  They were hours late and when they showed up, they weren't even technically this "Beacon" that we hired.  They were their "sister" company, Amiran.  Now, I am writing a review on Beacon since they should be responsible of who they contract their work out to.  Amiran arrived about 6 hours late, charged us A LOT more than what was quoted.  And they play the nice guy by saying that they're going to cut us a break and not charge us $XXX for stairs, but rather only $XX..nah, let's make it $XX.  And the lead mover gives you his personal number to call him when we are ready to receive our stuff.  So, you leave with a warm & fuzzy good feeling about this company.  2 weeks go by and we are calling them daily.  Either you don't get an answer or someone answers and says they'll call you back by the end of the day.  This happened for a week straight.  We had no idea if and when our stuff was going to make it to our home.  Finally after we got a hold of someone, we were able to settle on a date for delivery.  They were supposed to arrive around 5-6pm.  They didn't call us until 10pm, on a weekday, nonetheless.  Once they arrived, they wanted to charge us another $300 for the "extra steps" they had to take.  Which, by the way, was measured & calculated by the guy actually taking steps - no official measuring device of any sort.  We told them to just unload there and we had to cart everything in ourselves.  In addition to the poor service, we had damaged goods - a clock that is in pieces, a chair that was destroyed.  I would not recommend this company to anyone.  They are unprofessional, unreliable, and overpriced.  WORST service and company ever.    .

Long-distance move from Florida to Ohio

Do Not Use This Company if You Value Your Belongings.

My move was to begin on March 30 between 8 and 10 am.Nobody showed up and I couldn't reach anyone at any of their phone lines to choose from.  I kept calling because I thought they may have run off with my deposit.  Finally at 1:15 pm the driver contacts me to tell me that they will be at our residence to pick up between 2-5 pm.  I asked where they were and why didn't anyone contact me.  The driver told me they were right around the corner and they told me they tried to call the day before but didn't get an answer and their boss told them not to leave a message.  NOT LEAVE A MESSAGE?? Ludicrous.  At about 4:30 pm I had the driver's cell phone and call him to find out if they were going to make it by 5.  He told me it was not going to be between 5:30 and 6:00pm.  After they arrived, they showed up with an outdated binding quote put together months ago and didn't even bring a wooden crate that I pd an extra $100 for to wrap a valuable curio.  They told because of this that they would do their best to package it so nothing gets broken.  They took a look at 3 other curios I had and told me I would have to be charged an add'l $180 for the extra packaging materials to pack them that they would give me a deal because of the error on everything.  It took them till 1:30 am, banging doors in a condo assoc.  Then the main driver Roosevelt came to me when everything was in the truck and told me the load was over by 150 cf.  That they would do the best they can to keep costs down because I was unemployed.  He then brought out the inventory list that he was putting together along with some other documents.  He asked me when the soonest I can receive the load and I told them 4/2.  He put this on the paperwork but then he put down they had until 4/23 to delivery the furniture.  I questioned this because on the binding quote, it said 1 to 5 business days. He told me not to worry about it because his boss has him put it like that for everyone.  Well I wasn't going to sign it because I couldn't wait that long to receive my stuff.  He told me it would probably arrive either 4/2 or 4/3.  I was so furious with the way that this entire situation was handled that I contacted the company when I arrived at my destination and spoke to "Joe" regarding what transpired and what the driver did and what they didn't have in their possession.  I asked for a discount on the end amount and he told me he had not heard of anything that happened and didn't understand why they were so late.  I told him the driver told me that they were directed down to Palm Beach to pick up another load prior to coming to my residence.  I'm single and I didn't appreciate that two men that I didn't even know came and stayed that late hours of the morning.  He told me he would investigate to see if he could get me money off and he has yet to contact me back and I can't get in contact with him.  Do not do business at all with a person by the name of "Victor".  He's arrogant and demeaning and he won't even tell you his title nor his supervisor's name.  He rambles on about his job description which I could not care less about.  He told me my stuff would arrive Monday through Wednes next week.  This is unacceptable.  An east coast to east coast load taking 10 business days and it's only supposed take between 1-5.  It's Friday now.  I talked yesterday to the dispatcher and he told me my stuff would arrive this weekend and that someone would contact 24 hours before.  I called back once more to talk to "Joe" to find out the final amount of the move so I could get a money order before the weekend.  He told me again he had to investigate and he still has not contacted me.  I may not be able to get a money order because of the weekend for the amount due because I don't know the amount due yet because they failed to call me.  It's now the weekend and I know I won't be able to get anyone at that company because apparently nobody works on the weekends there.  This company has so little respect for anybody's property that I would never recommend them to anyone moving down the street other than across the US.  They talk down to you when you're trying to find out information and they make you feel like you should be doing them a favor.  This is not the way a business should be run.  Another thing, they will tell you that you will not be able to find them on the Better Business Bureau because the BBB has not updated their information.  Well I called.  They are not a member of the BBB and never was.  They tell you this to gain your confidence and your business.  The driver comes across as being the nicest and most sincere person ever but again what it comes down to is what you sign.  I'm being held responsible now for signing a document that states that they have until 4/23 to deliver my stuff to my new residence in Ohio.  They everything I have in their warehouse and I have to suffer at the hands of these merciless people.  I was also told that when your furniture is packed on one truck that is it removed from that truck and placed in a warehouse until another consolidation move goes the way you're heading.  Don't let this driver tell you or get you to sign anything because his boss only tells him to put that on there and that it doesn't mean anything.  IT DOES. .

Long-distance move from New York to Georgia

Deliver things broken, scratched & unprofessional.

The moving commpany hit a persons car in my complex & didn't even stop to file a report and when they were notified they diden't want to take the responsibility for the accident. The Supervisor was very unprofessional and nasty when notified by said neighbor. My things were dented, my boxes dropped even with the fragile notation on them. Alot of my things had to be thrown away and now I have to file claims to cover the damage. They also quote you one price and when they come to pick up your things they try to bump up the price. They don't add any verbal infomation onto your moving list and then they try to say that they weren't notified. When you try to contact them they bounce you around and play phone tag with you so they don't have to handle the situation at hand. In my oponion I will never use or refer anyone to this company.

Long-distance move from Florida to Connecticut

Worst moving experience ever!

Worst moving company experience ever! Extremely poor customer service; unprofessional; not efficient company.  The absolute worst customer service experience I have encountered in years.  Liars and used combative conversations to force us to pay their final cost which was $1,000 more than they wrote our estimate for before finalizing our deal.  We had numerous items broken and trashed.  Nobody EVER took ownership of our concerns or even attempted to help satisfy anything.  They demanded cash for their inflated final price or "we won't ever deliver your stuff."  The supposed supervisors are horribly inadequate excuses for leading by example.  There are so many negative aspects to our experience that I could not even begin to list them all here on this site.  STAY AWAY from this company.  Many other truly professional movers out there. .

Long-distance move from Maryland to California

Good Moving Company.

I just got my delivery to San Jose, CA, I recently moved from Baltimore, MD on June 11th. I picked Beacons because of their customer service and persistent. They were the most professional over the phone out of the bunch. I must of gotten over 100 emails in a span of 2 days and over 50 calls. I was looking for a company that would be able to move my stuff without breaking anything and have it delivered in a timely manner cross country. Beacons staff assured me that I would be in safe hands and that I could get my things within 2 weeks to the bay area. I liked the price and what I read so I decided to give them a deposit and move with them on June 11th. On move day 3 nice men came to my house and moved my things out swift and safely. I gave them a nice tip to make sure they knew I was very appreciative of their hard work (I believe it’s crucial to tip when it comes to these type of things) and services. They gave me some free stuff and promised I'd get my things in 10 days. Sure enough they called me on Friday to tell me I'd be getting my stuff on Saturday. Everything was just as it left in Baltimore nothing damaged nothing broken they even setup my TV on the wall and my entire bedroom.

Do Not Use This Company.

They lied about delivery time.  They were very rude on the phone once they received my monies.  I have lots of damages because my household belongings did not go straight to florida, it went back up to NJ and was unloaded and reloaded 3 times!  When the items arrived, they only put the beds together and everything else was just left in the middle of the floor but yet they took a lot of my furniture apart and refused to put it back together. They pretty much demanded a tip and refused to take a check made out to cash, followed me to an ATM for cash.  The move cost me $1,000 over the quote and I actually moved less things than what was on my inventory sheet!  NIGHTMARE company.

Long-distance move from Florida to New York

Snowbird Moving for the Snow.

I just completed my move with Beacons from FL to NY. Overall I was very pleased with the work and services they provided. I was given a quote via phone/email with a Binding contract based on the inventory that I had submitted. With that quote I was able to budget my entire moving cost up to NYC. I had the guys come out on a Saturday since they don’t charge extra for weekend services and pack and load up so I would get delivery the following Tuesday/Wednesday. The price was on point with everything I was given and told. The only unfortunate thing to happen was my delivery was delayed due to weather up in the North East, (that’ll teach me to never move in the winter again) I finally got my things on Friday that just passed. Even after a week in transit nothing was broken, there were some blemishes on some cheap press wood items but that’s typically standard with those target brands. I will keep Beacon in mind for my next move next year back to the west coast. Thankfully I won't be up in this cold weather for too long :-)  .

Long-distance move from Texas to New York

Good Old Fashioned Hard Working Men.

I gotta say this first when I went on to this site Billy.com I didn't expect to get bombarded and harrased with a dozen phone calls and hundreds of emails but I guess that's what happens when you go to the world wide web and put your name and number out there for the whole world to see. Anyway I recieved plenty of prices and quotes and emails from all types of companies. I got so many emails that my inbox started to crash everytime I opended it up. I spoke to a guy named Joe over at Beacons and he sold me on the company and their guys services, I told him I was worried about delivery time as long as I got my stuff safe, well he assured me I'd get my things within a week and that everything would stay on the same truck they came out with. He wasn't lying the guys showed within 6 days from pickup to my new home in Long Island. I was happy everything showed up and in one peiece nothing was broken nothing was damaged ( I got a nice TV that I was a little worried about getting screwed up) they did some nice packing for me in Dallas that made everything secure on the truck. I would like to say these guys are hard working and didn't complain about the breaking stuff down or wrapping or packing up the truck. They came out and did what they had to do and did it good. I want to thank Joe & the Beacon crew that came out for everything they did for me. I'm happy I went with my initial gut feeling cause I couldn't of asked for a better move.

Long-distance move from New York to Georgia

Never Use This Company.

My Fiance' and I are planning a move to Georgia, among many of the calls and estimates we received we went with Becaon b/c their estimate for what we had seemed reasonable. We spoke to Chenee who seemed nice enough when they were trying to get our card info, after giving them our card info to hold and not charge (until we called back with an exact amount of things we'd be taking) we noticed that they had already charged us! And after thinking it over, my fiance and I decided that we didn't even need a moving company b/c all we had we could fit in our car. We called them back and spoke to Chenee who gave us a major attitude then cold transfered us to Joe who refused to refund our $270.00!! Despite the fact that we weren't even going to be using them. He then spit at us that they cannot contractually refund our money BUT WE NEVER SIGNED ANYTHING!! We asked for his managers name who he stated was named Bill, anyway we're not letting this go we WILL GET OUR MONEY BACK! But word from the wise DO NOT USE BEACOM MOVING AND STORAGE for your next move find someone else anyone else these people are only trying to get your money and once they have it they will treat you like garbage.

P.S these people don't even have their own trucks they are a Broker.

Long-distance move from Virginia to New York

Very unprofessional.

I used this company because I was promised service for the dates I needed. The cost was very reasonable. On the day they were supposed to pick up my household goods I was called and told they would not be able to be there and they would come the following day. The following day no one came or called. I called the office and was told there was an issue and they did not know when my stuff would be picked up. I explained that they had to come because I was now renting a hotel room waiting for them to come. They actually stopped taking my phone calls and no one would call me back. I had my son call them and he got through to them. It was 3 days after my promised date that they came. The movers did not speak english and they told me I would have to pay more money than I was quoted to   have my stuff picked up. What choice did I now have. It was 10:30PM.
When I was called for delivery of my things in New York they were 3 days early. Luckily I could get into my apartment. Again the movers did not speak english. My dresser and a cabinet were missing. Stolen. Some of my dishes were broken in the containers. I called the office and was told someone would call me back. I never, ever heard from anyone. This company is unprofessional. They don't care. Do not use them.

AAA Movers!

My wife and I recently completed a move with Beacon Moving & Storage from Boston to Miami. We did a Google search for movers in our area and found 5 different companies that we asked to give us estimates. We complied all the quotes from the companies and started to do our do research, we ended up between Beacon and one other company. We called each company and ask our concerning questions. We decided that Beacon answered our concerns honestly and efficiently. We are very happy with our move; they did a great job moving everything out packed everything up nice on the truck and didn't break anything. The key was that everything get picked up and moved down in a timely manner. We received our things within 4 days from pickup. Upon delivery we checked our items against our itemized inventory everything was accounted for. We checked for damages and we had none but one little scratch on a leg of one of our chairs. A very nice guy on both ends we would definitely recommend Beacon to our friends and family.

Long-distance move from Virginia to Florida

Horrible Experience.

The movers held our load hostage until we paid them an extra $500 by money order.  They said our items would not all fit in one truck an the extra money was to rent another truck. When I told the dispatch agent this was a scam and they had a complete inventory list and weight so they should know what size truck they needed. He immediately starting yelling and cursing at me and said he would leave 1/2 our things in Richmond unless we paid. I can't even begin to tell you how rude and unprofessional that call was. I called the salesman immediately at Beacon and left a message about the demand for more money.  My calls were never returned.    NOTE:  They delivered in ONE truck that also held another household's items. We paid the fee just to get our things.
They delivery was by another company though Joe at Beacon told me they would be delivering in their trucks and using their own staff. I asked specifically if Beacon was a broker and he told me NO.  Our items arrived three days late and many of the boxes were soaking wet on the bottom and had come un-taped.  Items had fallen out of the damaged boxes and were broken.  The movers had shoved the items, including the broken ones, back in the boxes and re-taped. This was obvious because many of the items were no longer wrapped and the paper was loose in the box. There was mildew on some of our linens from the wet boxes.  Overall there were 34 broken items and two pieces of furniture damaged.  Our 1 year old mattress and box springs was missing and they left an old dirty set instead.  We had a complete inventory list with the number of boxes and furniture being moved.  There are seven boxes missing and Joe at Beacon will not return our calls nor have we received any insurance reimbursement for the damaged items.
It has been five months since the move and we have yet to hear from anyone at Beacon. Joe was pleasant and helpful prior to the move but once we had problems he, nor anyone with the company, would take my calls or respond to my emails or letters.  My husband and I have moved numerous times in the last thirty years and we have never had such a bad experience with a moving company. Actually we had more items broken on this move than any the previous moves combined.
I wish I had read all these bad these reviews before hiring Beacon but  I hope his review saves someone else from going through what we did.
The funny thing is that this company was no cheaper than the others I contacted and actually more expensive after paying the hostage fee. We paid $4300 for the move from Virginia to Florida and lost approximately $3500 in damages and missing items.

Long-distance move from Virginia to Maine

Very late delivery time -- 10:30 at night.

It was a small move: a set of master bedroom furniture (king bed, mattress, box spring), large dresser w/ attached mirror, and two large nightstands. I was giving this furniture to my son and daughter-in-law. My biggest complaint is that the furniture was delivered at 10:30 at night on a Sunday night; the movers were unapologetic about the time, were noisy, were careless (dropped items twice); they woke up both children, one of whom had to go to school the next day. Two items were damaged. When I called Beacon to complain, I was referred by three different people to their supervisor; when I left him a voice message, he never replied. Finally I wrote him a letter and he called me and said he would find out why the delivery was so late at night; five days later he has not called me back, although I emailed him a reminder two days ago.  Also, I was supposed to get a phone call when the furniture was 24 hours from its destination; I never did. When I did speak with the supervisor, he told me it was important to him to improve customer service, but I have certainly not seen any evidence of that.

Great Job.

We have had a wonderful experience using Beacon for our move to California. The same nice man loaded our belongings in Syracuse, NY and delivered them to our new home in Los Angeles CA/ Everything arrived in exactly the same condition it was when packed. Nothing was harmed or broken. The truck and staff arrived at exactly the time they had quoted to us in both locations. We would definitely use Beacon again, tho am hoping this will be our last move.

Thanks, Beacon

Long-distance move from New Jersey to Tennessee

Top Notch.

I recently moved my daughter from NJ to TN and used Beacon for the move. Beacon was top notch! I was cautious when choosing a company since reviews tend to be negative with so many horror stories. I spoke with Joe / Account Manager at Beacon several times to ensure the on-line quote I received was not going to change once the movers arrived. Joe was extremely helpful, patient and provided excellent customer service. Movers arrived on time (on a Sunday and it was Mother's Day!). They were polite, efficient and professional. On the receiving end in Tennessee, the movers arrived 3-days early (which we were advised of in advance) and had everything into my daughter's place quickly and without any issues. I would highly recommend Beacon and also advise everyone to educate themselves about moving. Joe walked me through cubic foot vs. weight and the importance of an accurate inventory list in order to avoid surprises. Beth Z.

Long-distance move from Georgia to California

Horrible Service.

Hopefully someone will read this and save themselves from the aggravation and nasty people who work for this company. We were moving our daughter to CA from GA and selected Beacon based on price and after talking with them about the move. We were told the pick up date was May 26 and it was even confirmed in one of their emails to us as follows: Congratulations Tony Amato! You've Booked Your Move for 5/26/2016! I even discussed this with Joe because I told him I was driving to Atlanta and returning on Thursday right after they picked up my daughters things. They called Wednesday late in the day to tell us they were not showing up until MAYBE Friday. The driver said he would be there Friday morning between 6-7. They showed up at 830, no calls, no emails. Now they told us the delivery date was June 6 at my daughters new home in CA. They just told her she would have to wait and it may show up next Monday they 13th. She called their customer service number and dispatch. Both said they would call her back. When no one called her back she called again. This time the man was extremely rude and totally lacked any customer service skills and told my daughter that she was lying and no one ever said they would call her back.

I have moved 7 times across the country and managed global relocations for large multinational companies. I can tell you this, for a fact. They will lie to you and then just get mean and nasty to you. They are totally disrespectful to their clients. I would strongly encourage you to find another moving company. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone at anytime for any move and I have moved families all over the world so I know what I am talking about. Stay away from these people. You will regret using them!

Long-distance move from Florida to New York

Excellant job.

I got a new job offer in New York. Currently, I have a condo
in Fort Lauderdale. My new job required me to move fast. They of course paid
for moving service completely. I found this movers on google 1 week prior to my
move. Gentleman named Joe was able to get me a crew for a pick up next day!
I paid around $75 extra for for full packing and was really happy they
did it. They wrapped things like it was going for around the world trip :)
Definitely great and throughout job on packing.Next morning I was told that my stuff was already
route. I don't know if I got lucky or what, but they called me in 4 days
and said that everything will be delivered next day. Which they did. Another
crew in NY put things together in my rental apartment the way it was, even
helping me to hook up my computer and printer which I always have problems
with. Thank you guys for taking extra steps to make my move easier.

Long-distance move from Dansville, NY to Detroit, MI

Awesome experience.

I have only relocated twice and used two different moves each time. In my most recent relocation from New York to Michigan, I hired Beacon Moving. I did everything online. I started by filling an online inventory after which I was sent a quotation. It was relatively affordable, but we still negotiated on it. After finalising everything, their sales person promised to send a crew in the morning on the agreed date. Just as agreed, the relocation team was at my former residence in good time and they did the work perfectly. I couldn’t do anything but smile. I do not have a reason for hiring another relocation company next time when they still exist. I will always want that feeling they gave me to remain with me each time I am relocating. They departed leaving me a happy man. The stress that I had expected to be associated with the relocation wasn’t evident. Instead, it was all fun and I loved every bit of it. The driver engaged me in a conversation as the dedicated crew got the work done. I got to learn more about the company which further strengthened my belief in them. They are the best.

Long-distance move from Canton, OH to Houston, TX

The Worst Movers In the US.

I thought Becon was an old trustworthy moving company. However, this is far from the truth. They are most unprofessional, rude, crooked movers I have ever experienced. I have moved across country several times and Becon is the worst movers I have ever used. I was also told that I would have one month free storage. That was a lie also.

I phoned Becon in June of 2018 and gave them a list of all of my household items. The sales person Kristopher Brown took down all of my information and sent it to me. I reviewed it and it looked correct so I signed the contract to move my apartment furniture and boxes for $2400. Somewhere between me signing and the list being turned over to dispatch, pages were removed. Almost half of what I told him was no longer there. I did not see the redone list until the movers came to the my apartment on July 30th later than we agreed. The movers were horrible. One of them reeked of achohol and cigarets, his name was Alex the other worker could not speak English. However, he managed to tell me that the main driver was not a good person. Upon arrival we agrued about the list and the amount that I was charged and signed for.

Alex call the manager Bryan and he knew that I was stuck. I had already given them $800 deposit. They told me that they were not going to honor the $2400 and that I would have to pay $2600 to have my furniture delivered. Total $5,000. I told them that I did not have that kind of money. They told me that they would leave the furniture at my apartment and keep the $800. I was devastated. A rock in a hard place. This is what these movers are doing now. I gave them $1600 that day which totaled $2400. The other $2600 would have to be given to them in cash or post office money orders when the furniture arrived in Houston, Tx.

On July 19th I called them to give them the address of the storage company I would used in Houston. They asked me when did I plan to be in Houston. Now, based on the free month storage, I told them my plans were to be in Houston by September 1st. They said "Oh No" we can not hold your furniture that long. I said "you told me that I had a free one month storage. They said we don't give a full month storage. We have up until the a month to deliver it. They are crooks. Bate and switch. No good. Totally unprofessional. I was told that a truck would be leaving on August the 23rd and that I would have to be in Houston no later than August 27th. I quit my job a week early and started preparing for the drive back to Houston by myself. My friend that was going to fly into Houston could not change from August 31st to August 24th. So, I had to drive from Ohio to Houston alone. I could not afford to leave my furniture in their storage for 2 more weeks until the next truck left, per Becon, that would have cost me $450 more. I am writing this review on August 28th. I called their head quarters and was told they still could not give me a date. Only that the driver would call me when they were a day away. Now, understand I have paid for a storage unit in Houston based on the information they gave me. This is horrible. They are horrible and should not be allowed to continue doing business in the US.

Long-distance move from Bordentown, NJ to Loretto, PA

Worse experience.

I have emails confirming they could deliver my furniture on day requested that day and 3 more weeks have gone by. I was told I would get 24 hours notice for delivery as I would need to drive 300 miles to get there. They said I should not have been told the guaranteed day because they have up to 21-30 business days to deliver after the first agreed day. I would not have signed on if that was the case. So I was told at 6 p that they would be here the next day between 9 and 1. I was then called at 9 p that it would be between 9a and 10a. So, I get up and drive at 4 am and still no truck after 1p. They don’t care that they are inconveniencing the customer, they don’t have any customer service skills. The woman always says the same thing.. I was about to call you.. total Lies. Now they are supposedly broke down and there is no plan other than a waiting game. They have no problem lying to get business, and treating customers like dirt and inconvenient. I am just hoping the stuff is in one piece when it gets here because at this point I have no faith it will be.. I recommend someone, anyone but Beacon.

Long-distance move from Brooklyn, NY to Vero Beach, FL

Horrible! Stay away!

I would not recommend beacon moving to anyone! Save your money and your aggravation and Run the other way!!They gave me a "flat rate" of $2500 and said that I would not be charged more and if there were any issues with the movers giving me a different price to contact customer service because I have a "binding contract". Of course moving day comes along and what do you know.. they charge me an additional $500. I tried contacting customer service and all I kept getting was a voicemail and when I finally got a hold of someone they said they'd have someone call me back to which surprise surprise they never did. I was also promised I'd get my items in 5 to 7 days. So of course I didn't pack much for my journey to my new home state (mind you I have an infant). I didn't get my items in over 3 weeks! Absolutely ridiculous. Not only did I pay them $3000 but they also cost me 1 months rent at my new house to which I haven't even been able to live in since they have all my furniture. Any time I try calling them I have to make several attempts at it because no one answers the phone. This horrible experience is like the gift that keeps on giving. My items FINALLY arrived yesterday and of course destroyed! All my bins were completely broken and covers were practically non existent. My boxes were all upside down and looked like they've been through a war. Most of my furniture has arrived broken I was practically kn years and the movers were so unprofessional and had no remorse. One of the guys even made a remark and said to me "wait till you open your box and find your chandelier broken". At this point I wanted to punch the guy because I knew he just didn't care about anything. They also made it sound like the company wasn't going to even reimburse me for my broken furniture! I guess I'll find out today when I call them to put a claim in. Stay far far away from this company is all I can say. Horrible service throughout!

Long-distance move from California to Florida

Super Movers!

I recently used Beacon Movers for a cross country move from California to Florida. I used Beacon for a full service move including packing, storage and auto transport. I received a basic full service estimate for $5500 which included packing, storage, additional insurance, & complete move door to door. I was billed at the completion for a total $5850 , which to me was fine it was considerably less than the 10% I was told I could pay..
Having Beacon take care of all my moving needs really saved me time, money and aggrevation. I was so pleased and satisfied I decided to leave them some postive feedback which I felt they both earned & deserved. Beacon has all the tools and know how to get any job done, I recommend them to anyone who needs a honest and reliable mover.

Long-distance move from New Jersey to Florida

Poor Customer relations!!

Do not use this company~!! Manger is extremely rude and the employees are in a rush to try to get you to put down a deposit with them.  I called to find out about pricings and had questions on how the process of the move is going to be.  I spoke with oneida and during the phone call, she transfers me to her manager (I guess she didn't know how to answer some of my questions?)  While talking to the manager, he never let's me finish what I have to say!  I had cut me off at least 3 times and consistantly talks over me.  Why would anyone want to do business with these guys?!?!?! .

Long-distance move from Rhode Island to Florida

Do Not Use This Company!

I will keep this short as I am fed up with this company. I recently moved from Rhode Isldnad to Florida for grad school and had an absoulte nightmare of a move thanks to Beacon. 1) They were 28 days late, they lied to me everyday I called "we will be there tomorrw" this went on for almost a month, I had to sleep on the floor as I had no furniture, cloths, etc. 2) They stole my TV. When they packed up my stuff I noticed they put a red cloth over my TV and a yellow cloth on everything else, needless to say this is how they marked what to steal. When they deleivered my stuff (late) the TV was missing, I still have no recieved any  money for this and they are not returning my emails or calls. 3) my motorcycle was damaged. I paid an extra $150 for them to create my bike, needless to say it had hundreds of dollars of damage to it when it was delivered. They have yet to pay for this. 4) Overall this company was extremely rude and a complete scam, I do not know how they are in business. 5) They charged me an extra $200 when the delievered my stuff, a month late!   bottom line DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, they are a complete scam and complete scumbags.
