Long-distance move from New York to Florida

Made my mom happy.

I recently used the services of Bayflower Moving Group and I am happy that I decided to hire them. It was for my mom's move to her new one bedroom apartment. I usually try to stay on top of everything and coordinate every single thing, but this time I was very busy at work and neither had time nor energy to be there to help my mom. I am very grateful to the guys from Bayflower Moving Group- they not only did show up on time, but successfully moved all my mom's stuff in less than four hours. It is hard to please my mom - she often complains about everything, but this time was really an exception, she was happy which was very relieving. Thank you to Bayflower Moving Group for their professional work. I would highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for moving services.

Long-distance move from North Carolina to Virginia

Great way to move.

In the past 8 years, I have had 3 local moves and 2 long distance moves, so I have a lot of experience with movers. While I never had a bad experience, Bayflower Moving Group recent long distance move for me from Wilmington to Virginia Beach was the best experience ever! All 3 guys on the crew were educated, clean and professional looking, and were focused on customer service. This customer service focus permeated the entire experience, starting with the sales manager. He gave me a quote and it was a little higher than some of the other quotes I had received. Because I felt more comfortable with his professionalism and knowledge that came from sales rep I felt more at ease with this company. When the crew came out to my house, they all greeted me like an old friend and immediately gave me confidence that they knew what they were doing. Not only did they literally run throughout the day, but they also wrapped everything, stacked it carefully, and planned out how they were going to fill the truck to prevent shifting. After placing all of the items in the new house, they took me from room to room and gave me the opportunity to have them move things to different locations if it didn't look the way I thought it would. I love these guys and I highly recommend Bayflower Moving Group to anyone that needs a mover!

Do Not Ever Use This Company!! The Good Reviews Are Ficititious!!

These are the most unprofessional, unresponsive, ghetto people I have ever mistakenly done business with in MY LIFE!! They are greedy and stingy and they will rip you off with any angle they can illegally find. I have been battling this company since MARCH 2014 and they continue to dodge talking to me, avoid bringing resolve to claim less than $200 and just plan not people/customer concerned. I have missing items too! THEY COULDNT CARE LESS ABOUT ME OR MY DAMAGED PROPERTY! THEY HAVE MY MONEY!! If the tables were turned and someone had damaged several pieces of their individual property and was withholding payment, they would be outraged if they were treated the way the have been treating me and many others apparently. I have tried resolve through the BBB and they just gave up because these people are so unreasonable we couldn't get them to just be fair and pay. On top of all of my scarcely insured items they damaged in transport - one of their drivers was about to leave my home and knocked over my personal laptop that I was working on, onto a tile floor and damaged it. Bayflower apologized when I reported it and told me to get an estimate and they would repair/replace it. I paid to get the estimate and filed the claim with pics as they requested! I called SEVERAL times for 7 months trying to get resolve. They offered me $30 for my damaged PC in a letter after the repair people said it needed to be REPLACED!! The estimate alone costed $30!!  let alone the $30 I paid to fax over all of the paperwork for both the moving claim and this one.  They are probably hoping I will just go away but I will get JUSTICE!!

Long-distance move from Pennsylvania to Michigan

Scam!!

The five star ratings on here must be from the company and not the customers. They will low-ball your estimate and then when everything is packed (with unnecessary added padding and blankets bc they go by cubic feet not weight) they will charge you more money for the extra cubic ft that they didn't estimate and come on purpose with a smaller truck(with a card board sign on it) so it all won't fit in and they can tell you that according to their estimate it should've all fit. Common sense should tell you that a 1600 sq ft home of a family of four can NOT all fit in a 25 ft truck. Then tell you they can't get the rest until two days later. Meanwhile you'll get charged thousands more bc of their failure to estimate correctly. Also Phil (if that's his real name) asked for a beer after they packed up all our stuff into their truck before they drove away with it. It's still illegal to drink and drive, right? He wad the only one that could speak English too. The other traffic violation is that they don't have enough room in the truck cab for all the movers so one or two has to sit in the tailer with all your stuff, in which they had to sit back there for three hours both ways from where their warehouse and our house was. Pretty sure that is illegal. I've also heard they don't update their registrations but I didn't hear about that until after, otherwise I would've checked. They also took our stuff to a warehouse and unloaded it so they could bring the same truck back to our house to get the rest of our stuff. They loaded both truck loads onto a tractor trailer. All that logistically makes no sense and causes more opportunity for damage. Nina was the sales person that was not helpful or professional with our concerns. There was some damage to our things but we understand that would be hard to prove but they did damage the floor in our house removing the washer. We took pictures of how they did things and the damage. Joe was the one that gave us the estimate. When they did arrive with our things they were 2 1/2 hours late. They keep changing their name for the bad reviews so by the time we were done with their business they changed the name to Smart Movers (which I think is hilarious). No they're not smart.

Long-distance move from Maryland to Florida

Liars and formally lion van lines.

First off let me say READ YOUR CONTRACT! One of the pages has a secret back page that they don't tell you about with a LOT of fine print that says they can lie to you about anything to get your business and that you can never become part of a class law suit, and if you personally sue you have to pay THEIR court fees as well.
It also says anything they damage in your home while movig they aren't liable for. It also says that they are a broker, and allowed to hire out another company to handle your things and that unless you pay extra you may or may not get your things delivered on their truck. They make sure that truck is there for pick up, it's just part of the illusion to rope you in. They are liars and scammers.

I was initially contacted by Bayflower with an estimate and told that our move was so small and under the minimum that I could probably add another 25 or so medium boxes and still be worry free that the estimate will change. I added on maybe 15 boxes and my estimate ended up going up 1200. Since I did add things, I didn't complain. They did however tack on an extra couple hundred for "wrapping" the furniture that the delivering contractors even admitted to me was excessive and pointless and a way to get more $$ out of us. They also left empty tape rolls, empty bags and trash all over my house after pick up. We were told a maximum of a 10 day delivery window, but that our stuff would probably be there in 7 days. Then I was told this meant business days. So I waited patiently for the 7 day mark before I decided to check on our things and no one could give me an answer about anything. I kept calling and eventually they stopped answering. The "manager" is the only one who can give any information on delivery times and he is NEVER there! why even have any other dispatch employees if this guy is the only one who has any access to files?! Finally once they were outside of their promised delivery window of 10 business days and my legal rep called them they decided to answer me. I was told I would get a $30 discount per day for every late day, even though it cost more than that just to feed my family one meal (since I couldn't cook bc they had all my stuff) not to mention hotel fees to house us. the movers showed up on. Sunday morning with NO notice (I was promised 24 hour notice) and while I was grateful for the weekend delivery, I was told by the foreman that he didn't know of any discount and was demanding cash. HOW am I supposed to get cash on a Sunday when the banks are closed? I offered a personal check and a credit card authorization but we ended up figuring out a money order plan, although we were still refused our discount and no one from the office would answer for us. The men doing the delivery did not work for Bayflower and the foreman even suggested I write the money order our to a different company entirely. The truck was a totally different company's truck and this proved they are in fact A BROKER, no matter why they say! They unloaded our things and most everything got to is except my husbands guitar rack which cost $75 and they are only offering $12 to replace it, even though it was a brand new rack in flawless condition. They also damaged the walls of our apartment AND the inside foyer of our historic apartment building. When I contacted them to ask how they planned to compensate my landlord since these weren't damages to our direct property I was told they aren't liable and submit a claim, they might decide to cover it in 4-9 months. They had no contract with my landlord.. this wasn't our property that was specified in the contract as our own responsibility an since I can't legally sign away someone else's liability rights, I can't imagine how this is legal.
This company also said they were award winning, and I believed them since their reviews are so high! I am convinced they write their own reviews as I've tried to contact these people who posted them and heard nothing back from any of them. I also did a lot of digging and found out they have changed their name several times!! THIS IS HOW THEIR RATINGS ARE SO HIGH!

do yourself a favor, before booking these guys look up their reviews under old names. Contact Atlas and other well known competitors and ask them about this company. They will not give you a positive report. I wish I hadn't just trusted the positive reviews and done more research. save yourself the stress and money!!

Long-distance move from Florida to Virginia

Hard working staff for me!

I just completed my move with bayflower and had to come here and give them a wonderful review. I was moving my things from FL to VA. Everything from start to finish was awesome, easy and no headaches. Getting an estimate with a flat price was a huge plus for me. My sales rep Joe made sure I knew my exact cost for the whole move and did not have to fork over extra cash. Staff is very hard working and they care about the customer. Office staff, movers, everyone is great. I even talked to a manager once by chance and he was really nice and helped me out, didn't make me feel like I was taking up too much of his time. I loved the way they treated me, like I was the most important customer they ever had. I give them 2 thumbs up and will tell all my friends to move with them.

Long-distance move from Maryland to New York

LIars! Not careful or caring of your things.

I had so many things broken but of course there is nothing you can do about them.

THe men doing the work were hard to understand since they were all Russian.  Only one thick accent could speak English.

THey said they would send the pieces to fix my broken cabinet but never did.

DO NOT DO IT.. GO WITH the reputable name.  It is not worth the extra money you may save.

Real good.

These young guys did a job a very qualitatively and neatly that made me feel relaxed during the entire moving. The guys really took care of every single item and piece of furniture and especially my mother's collection of vases :) All in all, I am very happy with the job they did and I would absolutely recommend them to everyone. Thank you guys, you took care of everything real well.

Terrible Service.

I have used this company and they proved to have no customer service sense. Teir movers can range from good to ugly. they w ill tell you to sign and pay before unloading your furniture, and then it is down hill from there. The lead mover was abusive to us, and was unprofessional in every regard. We have furniture broken and floor of the house damaged; emailing the customer service, which is only by name, was futile. Avoid using this company.

Long-distance move from Maryland to Louisiana

Worst nightmare can't compare to Bayflower.

Let's start with the bringing of hidden fees-Extra long haul. I moved from a luxury apartment building and there were 4 possible routes to get freight to the truck. I showed the movers the shortest route, and the took the longest and charged me extra for it. Hidden fee two: packing supplies they used on things that were already wrapped.. Their ''customer service'' well tell you're you're problem too bad. Also their driver can't make it down my street, even though another driver did later the same day. This episode alone cost me and extra thousand dollars. You can expect to feel violated, to be lied to, grossly overcharged, oh yes and lots of broken stuff. I would select ANYONE else! Please do not use Bayflower or you may likely have a similar experience.
