Long-distance move from Florida to New York

Lied about what was said.

I accurred an extra $1400 then what was qouted.  Then when it came to talking to a customers service rep, they stated I should be lucky I am not spending more money.   They would not budge or refund any of our money.   The movers also broke my table.  Which that is another headache I have to deal with. I would also be wary about some of there great posts.  .

Long-distance move from Pennsylvania to Florida

Moved me quick.

I was under a tight timeframe and needed a mover right away and called these guys. Their movers arrived on time; were very professional yet friendly; took great care to make sure all the furniture was covered so nothing was damaged; and worked the whole time they were here, never even stopping for a break. I'll have to say that I was very impressed. I will definitely use them again for any further moves that may come up and will refer customers to them.

The guys were professional.

Ayflower just moved me yesterday afternoon in the pouring rain. The guys who came were super professional and wrapped my items very well. Everyone in the office was knowledgeable, courteous and helpful. Despite the fact that the movers helped us in difficult weather conditions, they never complained and had a smile on their face. Thank you bay flower for making my move easy.

Long-distance move from Washington DC to Colorado

Damages And no Follow-up.

Don't believe any of the good reviews.  The sales person will hound you and hound you.  They will promise to be below the cost of the top companies, and the initial estimate will be lower.  THEN they show up to pack and load your items, and suddenly your estimate was too low.  THEN you are told because the initial estimate was too low, the cost of packing and loading is TWICE the rate as when you were quoted over the phone.  At this point, all your items are already on the truck.  So, you are left with the option of paying, or having them unload the truck and you STILL have to pay, and you'll lose your deposit.   Once your items are on the truck and out of your sight, the contact by the company stops.  You'll have to call multiple times, and most of the time, IF they answer, they won't have any information as to when you stuff will arrive.   When the movers finally came to my house, as they were unloading, I'm informed that because the apartment isn't sitting right on the curb, that I will have to pay a extended moving distance fee, which, of course, can only be paid in cash.   While I was watching them move items in and unpacking, one of the movers cut a HOLE into the upholstery on my couch. One of the boxes has been badly damaged (like it had falled off the truck and rolled and maybe even been run over) and when I opened the box, most items were damaged, and many items were missing. I submitted a claim in November, and since then have not heard a single thing from the company, and they are now no longer answering their phones, or responding to voice messages.  .

Long-distance move from Virginia to Florida

Bayflower Movers.

Do not do business with this company, that is unless you want your property destroyed, holes punched in your walls and door frames split. This company is the worst. They moved my furniture from Richmond, VA to Baltimore, MD and left it sitting in a hot warehouse where items melted together during the month of August. After 10 working days, my furniture finally arrived in Florida. Their contract totally insulates them against any claims. Don't take my word for it read their contract. Almost everything I own was either destroyed, broken or scratched. The people that packed the truck and unpacked the truck were totally unprofessional. One of the people that unpacked the truck was covered in tattoos and piercings. As soon as he walked in the door he went to the bathroom and threw up, I don't know if it was drugs or alcohol. They are incredibly dishonest!

Stay Far Away From These Liars And Theives.

Here is my experience with bay flower. I needed a mover from NJ to fl, so I put my information online and was contacted by bay-flower as well as several others. Bay flower was the last to contact me and I was about to go with a different mover where they told me they saved me from a broker situation, so I put my trust in them and boy was I was wrong. They told me they were actual movers and not brokers and that this price I had was binding. Before the actual pick up they were very respectful and looked promising. So they came to pick my belongings up and they came with individuals that looked like they haven't slept in days, so anyways they come to tell me my cubic feet was higher then expected they then tripled my price. So I had to take this price because I had to get out of my place and had no other options. So after I got forced into this ridiculous situation, I then went far into looking up this so called "Bay-flower" which by the way they use that name to trick you into thinking they are mayflower, they were other known as north American master lines who has the same problems tripling prices and breaking and stealing items. If you are moving stay far away from these phonies before you are stuck like me. I will not stop until they are stopped I can promise you that.

Long-distance move from Florida to Texas

**stay Away From Bayflower Aka North Amercian Masterlines **.

Here's my experience with this sad excuse of a business. I found this company online by there reviews, they seemed to be very reputable and could handle this move from fl to TX. They gave me a binding price over the phone where I pressed the issue of a in-home, they explained that the guaranteed this price and it would not change so I put my trust in them. When they got there before they even put anything on the truck they said I had 2000 more cubic feet then what was estimated and my price went from $2700 to $7000. They are con artist and said that any other company who came out would have charged me more and acted like they were doing me a favor. That is why I wanted a in-home, so I had already gave a deposit for 800 so I pretty much had 2 options let them keep the 800 and risk this again and go with someone else or deal with this bait and switch static. My stuff when delivered took almost a month where they said 5 days and my items were broken and some stuff was missing. Please do your self a favor and stay far away from these crooks. They are better known as north American master-lines who was a scam company but they now changed there name to bay-flower which is not! Mayflower. Do not get confused please. They also bury bad reviews with fake good reviews. Stay away!

Long-distance move from Maryland to California

Bayflower was great.

This is a very exciting time in my life. Let me back track. I am a musician. I have been playing in dive bars, cover bands, and pretty much anywhere with a PA system for the past 10 years. When I got the news of my new job working music production for NBC I was ecstatic. I had to move sort of quickly so I got cracking and getting my stuff over to Cali. I called 4 companies. I settled on Bayflower moving group for one simple reason, THEY ACTULLY KNOW WHAT THERE DOING! Joe was my consultant for the project. He was the main reason I booked with Bayflower Moving Group. All the other companies I spoke with seemed nice and respectful. However, I felt like I was getting eyed to death. Bayflower Moving Group clearly defined the limitations and the exceptions. His crew that he hand picked was great. His crew busted their butts lugging my heavy amps, sofa, and everything up three flights of stairs. And the icing on the cake is there was no damage. I am embarking on a very important journey in my life. I have never been happier and Bayflower Moving Group just kept the positive vibes going with the excellent service they provided me. I will always speak highly when asked about . Thanks again.Bayflower Moving Group you guys were just awesome.

I've used them a lot !

These guys are professional and friendly, worth every penny you pay them. The crew headed by Victor was top notch. They wrapped all of our items really well and made us feel comfortable. I've used their services many times in the past years and have always enjoyed the process. Moving in itself is already big enough of a headache, the last thing you need is additional stress from bad moving companies. I highly recommend Bayflower Moving Group. .

Terrific move to Florida.

Everyone I dealt with from Bayflower Moving Group is professional and responds to voicemail messages and email in a timely fashion. They gave me an flat rate etimate over the phone, and they kept their word about cost and delivery time frames. In addition, they always happily answered any questions and addressed any concerns that we had. All in all, they really help make me feel at ease about moving. The movers were focused and clearly experienced based on the way that they expedited our move. Bayflower came highly recommended to us by a friend, and now I would like to highly recommend them to everyone else.

The word Perfect is Expressed With This Company.

I heard a lot about bayflower moving group and also saw some very good comments about them in several websites. All these positive feedbacks actually forced me to call them just before my move. I called them and talked with their sales person. He was very responsive and smart to figure out what I want. He offered me a deal so attractive that I could not say no to him. I hired Bayflower Moving Group for my 2 bed room move. I had high hopes from them and they also kept their reputation by doing everything perfectly for me. They saved my time and money and ensured a very fast and accurate move. I strongly recommend this company to everyone.

Made my mom happy.

I recently used the services of Bayflower Moving Group and I am happy that I decided to hire them. It was for my mom's move to her new one bedroom apartment. I usually try to stay on top of everything and coordinate every single thing, but this time I was very busy at work and neither had time nor energy to be there to help my mom. I am very grateful to the guys from Bayflower Moving Group- they not only did show up on time, but successfully moved all my mom's stuff in less than four hours. It is hard to please my mom - she often complains about everything, but this time was really an exception, she was happy which was very relieving. Thank you to Bayflower Moving Group for their professional work. I would highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for moving services.

Great way to move.

In the past 8 years, I have had 3 local moves and 2 long distance moves, so I have a lot of experience with movers. While I never had a bad experience, Bayflower Moving Group recent long distance move for me from Wilmington to Virginia Beach was the best experience ever! All 3 guys on the crew were educated, clean and professional looking, and were focused on customer service. This customer service focus permeated the entire experience, starting with the sales manager. He gave me a quote and it was a little higher than some of the other quotes I had received. Because I felt more comfortable with his professionalism and knowledge that came from sales rep I felt more at ease with this company. When the crew came out to my house, they all greeted me like an old friend and immediately gave me confidence that they knew what they were doing. Not only did they literally run throughout the day, but they also wrapped everything, stacked it carefully, and planned out how they were going to fill the truck to prevent shifting. After placing all of the items in the new house, they took me from room to room and gave me the opportunity to have them move things to different locations if it didn't look the way I thought it would. I love these guys and I highly recommend Bayflower Moving Group to anyone that needs a mover!

Long-distance move from Washington DC to Florida

Great Customer Service And All of The Above!

Nobody likes moving, let's be honest. But out of the sea of movers you can choose from, Bayflower is the ONLY one that gives you all of the information up front. Not only do they talk about their own polices and pricing, but my sales rep gave me SO much information about how moves work and the realities of moving in DC. What I never could have known when getting ready to leave the city is that long distance moving companies use an 18 wheeler tractor trailer to do moving. This makes sense because they want to move as many people at a time to keep costs down and obviously to make it logistically possible. Now I never realized that in DC you cannot use a tractor trailer, whether it's legal or not is not the issues but just physically it's impossible for a trailer to move around on those streets. Out of the 5 companies I talked to, Bayflower was THE ONLY ONE to tell me any of this. Not only that, but since they knew that the trailer was not going to make it to my house, they arranged for a smaller truck (i think 22 or 24 feet?) to come to the house to do the pickup. First of all, I appreciated that Bayflower was careful enough to include the charges for the extra truck and labor into my move cost so I knew what it would cost me. Second of all, instead of bringing the trailer and wasting time when most companies know that the trailer will not make it anywhere in the city, Bayflower just brought the smaller truck to start with to avoid that whole headache. It made my life so much simpler to not have to worry about that, and now looking back I realize that it would have made me crazy to find this out on move day when I was already super stressed! I had to give that main example of Bayflower's  thorough approach to moving. Beyond the above, the estimate was meticulous and not one extra dime was charged. I loved everything from my first phone call to the moment the movers left my new home. Everyone involved with my move was personable, helpful and clearly they have great communication between departments because my sales rep made sure that the operations department was aware of my special requests and time limitations (yes I was THAT CUSTOMER, sorry guys!). Seriously Bayflower really worked hard for the customer, and puts their needs first (well, as long as they can accommodate it within their guidelines). You will feel like their most important client no matter what your move is like.

Long-distance move from Pennsylvania to Michigan

Scam!!

The five star ratings on here must be from the company and not the customers. They will low-ball your estimate and then when everything is packed (with unnecessary added padding and blankets bc they go by cubic feet not weight) they will charge you more money for the extra cubic ft that they didn't estimate and come on purpose with a smaller truck(with a card board sign on it) so it all won't fit in and they can tell you that according to their estimate it should've all fit. Common sense should tell you that a 1600 sq ft home of a family of four can NOT all fit in a 25 ft truck. Then tell you they can't get the rest until two days later. Meanwhile you'll get charged thousands more bc of their failure to estimate correctly. Also Phil (if that's his real name) asked for a beer after they packed up all our stuff into their truck before they drove away with it. It's still illegal to drink and drive, right? He wad the only one that could speak English too. The other traffic violation is that they don't have enough room in the truck cab for all the movers so one or two has to sit in the tailer with all your stuff, in which they had to sit back there for three hours both ways from where their warehouse and our house was. Pretty sure that is illegal. I've also heard they don't update their registrations but I didn't hear about that until after, otherwise I would've checked. They also took our stuff to a warehouse and unloaded it so they could bring the same truck back to our house to get the rest of our stuff. They loaded both truck loads onto a tractor trailer. All that logistically makes no sense and causes more opportunity for damage. Nina was the sales person that was not helpful or professional with our concerns. There was some damage to our things but we understand that would be hard to prove but they did damage the floor in our house removing the washer. We took pictures of how they did things and the damage. Joe was the one that gave us the estimate. When they did arrive with our things they were 2 1/2 hours late. They keep changing their name for the bad reviews so by the time we were done with their business they changed the name to Smart Movers (which I think is hilarious). No they're not smart.

Do Not Ever Use This Company!! The Good Reviews Are Ficititious!!

These are the most unprofessional, unresponsive, ghetto people I have ever mistakenly done business with in MY LIFE!! They are greedy and stingy and they will rip you off with any angle they can illegally find. I have been battling this company since MARCH 2014 and they continue to dodge talking to me, avoid bringing resolve to claim less than $200 and just plan not people/customer concerned. I have missing items too! THEY COULDNT CARE LESS ABOUT ME OR MY DAMAGED PROPERTY! THEY HAVE MY MONEY!! If the tables were turned and someone had damaged several pieces of their individual property and was withholding payment, they would be outraged if they were treated the way the have been treating me and many others apparently. I have tried resolve through the BBB and they just gave up because these people are so unreasonable we couldn't get them to just be fair and pay. On top of all of my scarcely insured items they damaged in transport - one of their drivers was about to leave my home and knocked over my personal laptop that I was working on, onto a tile floor and damaged it. Bayflower apologized when I reported it and told me to get an estimate and they would repair/replace it. I paid to get the estimate and filed the claim with pics as they requested! I called SEVERAL times for 7 months trying to get resolve. They offered me $30 for my damaged PC in a letter after the repair people said it needed to be REPLACED!! The estimate alone costed $30!!  let alone the $30 I paid to fax over all of the paperwork for both the moving claim and this one.  They are probably hoping I will just go away but I will get JUSTICE!!

Long-distance move from Maryland to Florida

Liars and formally lion van lines.

First off let me say READ YOUR CONTRACT! One of the pages has a secret back page that they don't tell you about with a LOT of fine print that says they can lie to you about anything to get your business and that you can never become part of a class law suit, and if you personally sue you have to pay THEIR court fees as well.
It also says anything they damage in your home while movig they aren't liable for. It also says that they are a broker, and allowed to hire out another company to handle your things and that unless you pay extra you may or may not get your things delivered on their truck. They make sure that truck is there for pick up, it's just part of the illusion to rope you in. They are liars and scammers.

I was initially contacted by Bayflower with an estimate and told that our move was so small and under the minimum that I could probably add another 25 or so medium boxes and still be worry free that the estimate will change. I added on maybe 15 boxes and my estimate ended up going up 1200. Since I did add things, I didn't complain. They did however tack on an extra couple hundred for "wrapping" the furniture that the delivering contractors even admitted to me was excessive and pointless and a way to get more $$ out of us. They also left empty tape rolls, empty bags and trash all over my house after pick up. We were told a maximum of a 10 day delivery window, but that our stuff would probably be there in 7 days. Then I was told this meant business days. So I waited patiently for the 7 day mark before I decided to check on our things and no one could give me an answer about anything. I kept calling and eventually they stopped answering. The "manager" is the only one who can give any information on delivery times and he is NEVER there! why even have any other dispatch employees if this guy is the only one who has any access to files?! Finally once they were outside of their promised delivery window of 10 business days and my legal rep called them they decided to answer me. I was told I would get a $30 discount per day for every late day, even though it cost more than that just to feed my family one meal (since I couldn't cook bc they had all my stuff) not to mention hotel fees to house us. the movers showed up on. Sunday morning with NO notice (I was promised 24 hour notice) and while I was grateful for the weekend delivery, I was told by the foreman that he didn't know of any discount and was demanding cash. HOW am I supposed to get cash on a Sunday when the banks are closed? I offered a personal check and a credit card authorization but we ended up figuring out a money order plan, although we were still refused our discount and no one from the office would answer for us. The men doing the delivery did not work for Bayflower and the foreman even suggested I write the money order our to a different company entirely. The truck was a totally different company's truck and this proved they are in fact A BROKER, no matter why they say! They unloaded our things and most everything got to is except my husbands guitar rack which cost $75 and they are only offering $12 to replace it, even though it was a brand new rack in flawless condition. They also damaged the walls of our apartment AND the inside foyer of our historic apartment building. When I contacted them to ask how they planned to compensate my landlord since these weren't damages to our direct property I was told they aren't liable and submit a claim, they might decide to cover it in 4-9 months. They had no contract with my landlord.. this wasn't our property that was specified in the contract as our own responsibility an since I can't legally sign away someone else's liability rights, I can't imagine how this is legal.
This company also said they were award winning, and I believed them since their reviews are so high! I am convinced they write their own reviews as I've tried to contact these people who posted them and heard nothing back from any of them. I also did a lot of digging and found out they have changed their name several times!! THIS IS HOW THEIR RATINGS ARE SO HIGH!

do yourself a favor, before booking these guys look up their reviews under old names. Contact Atlas and other well known competitors and ask them about this company. They will not give you a positive report. I wish I hadn't just trusted the positive reviews and done more research. save yourself the stress and money!!

Hard working staff for me!

I just completed my move with bayflower and had to come here and give them a wonderful review. I was moving my things from FL to VA. Everything from start to finish was awesome, easy and no headaches. Getting an estimate with a flat price was a huge plus for me. My sales rep Joe made sure I knew my exact cost for the whole move and did not have to fork over extra cash. Staff is very hard working and they care about the customer. Office staff, movers, everyone is great. I even talked to a manager once by chance and he was really nice and helped me out, didn't make me feel like I was taking up too much of his time. I loved the way they treated me, like I was the most important customer they ever had. I give them 2 thumbs up and will tell all my friends to move with them.

Terrible Service.

I have used this company and they proved to have no customer service sense. Teir movers can range from good to ugly. they w ill tell you to sign and pay before unloading your furniture, and then it is down hill from there. The lead mover was abusive to us, and was unprofessional in every regard. We have furniture broken and floor of the house damaged; emailing the customer service, which is only by name, was futile. Worst nightmare can't compare to Bayflower.

Let's start with the bringing of hidden fees-Extra long haul. I moved from a luxury apartment building and there were 4 possible routes to get freight to the truck. I showed the movers the shortest route, and the took the longest and charged me extra for it. Hidden fee two: packing supplies they used on things that were already wrapped.. Their ''customer service'' well tell you're you're problem too bad. Also their driver can't make it down my street, even though another driver did later the same day. This episode alone cost me and extra thousand dollars. You can expect to feel violated, to be lied to, grossly overcharged, oh yes and lots of broken stuff. I would select ANYONE else! Please do not use Bayflower or you may likely have a similar experience.
