I didn't have much time between calling Assurance and actually moving, and they were glad to accommodate my short notice move anyway. I thought I was going to be charged an arm and a leg, not the case, I was treated fairly. The rep went over a bunch of dates around the time I needed to find which date fit my budget the best.

The customer service representatives were very professional and seemed like they actually wanted to help me. I asked a lot of questions, made sure of a lot of things, and everything I asked about turned out to be unnecessary stress. Assurance customer service called me every time I asked them to without my having to wait for days on end. I was given updates each time.

When the movers got to where I lived, I wasn't done packing and they were able to help pack, along with them wrapping my couches and tables with protective padding for me at almost no extra charge. This was a very good pick in terms of moving company and I will tell my friends in case any of them are moving soon, this is a great company to go with.

I received a call from customer service a couple of days after the final move with them asking how things went and if all went as planned, they were taking notes on what could be done to improve but all had gone great. I thank Assurance for helping me out so much.

I don't know why anyone would choose another moving company, Assurance took care of all my moving needs, all at a price I found very fair. When I spoke to the sales rep, he asked me all sorts of questions that all led to him offering me a moving package that really fit me and my needs.

He provided a number of dates that would ultimately lead to the price being lower and offered discounts for a couple of things I qualified for.

I was so glad they have a service where the movers pack your things up for you, which was just great. The movers made this one of my easiest relocations ever, and I thank Assurance for it.

They tell you exactly what you want to hear: You'll be taken care of and that the move will happen in an organized and timely fashion. That nothing bad will happen.. First red flag should have been that they were a middle man for my situation and hired a 1 star rated company who has not had a good review in over a year. When I called to dispute, they told me to give them a chance and that everything would be ok.

The movers came to pick up my things, charged me $800 more then the quote because my bed was larger then they expected. Next thing I know my charge doubled and when the movers arrived in Nevada, I had a chair broken and they misplaced my other chair and leaf to make a full dining set. Still cannot find my furniture. Horrific experience.

As soon as I was on the phone with the Assurance rep he put me at ease with the ways they would be willing to accommodate my time and money needs. I had a strict budget to stick to as this move was coming unexpectedly. There was also a very specific time line I needed to follow in order for things to work out properly for me.

The rep laid out a wide array of moving options like full service packing and loading, white glove service where they handle all furniture with extra care by padding it for the move on the truck. I chose to use the full service since the price was very fair for it.

As part of the price being lower the rep looked for dates around the time I needed. He checked to see if there might be a truck en route so as to piggy back the move onto that truck and save time and money. Luckily there was a truck en route and we scheduled the truck to be to me in about a week and a half.

The movers reached my house and all I had to do was let them in. Since I was getting the full service package I decided to just leave them there for an hour or so while I ran some errands. When I got back, the place was empty and the driver was waiting for me with a list of my things for me to go over and make sure all was accounted for.

The truck arrived at my next destination just as planned and on schedule. It seems like the movers took even less time having the truck unloaded. After that I reviewed the inventory list again, signed it and they were off.

That was pretty much how my move went. I couldn't think of any complaints I needed to address, in fact, as an elite yelper, I felt compelled to leave as honest an experience with this review as possible. Service was great, rep was helpful, and the move was flawless.

By far one of the best moving companies I've used ever. There were a lot of good qualities I got from this company every time we spoke. The rep gave many expert suggestions and advice that really helped out a ton. I was able to also get some discounts for having been in the military which really ended up making a difference.

The movers handled our things with utmost care. They wrapped up our things free of charge, to our surprise, and even many of our boxes were packed by the movers to help us out. They basically had our place empty in about an hour and a half.

We were glad the movers were able to get to our new place a day earlier. That was pretty much just icing on the cake. They unloaded our things very fast and organized and were out of there just as quickly.

We are happy and satisfied with our move and we are even more glad we chose Assurance Van Lines. I have a few relatives moving soon I will be sure to let them know there´s a good moving company for them to consider.

I just moved with this company about a week ago and they were great. I set the move up with a rep after being on the phone with him and asking a bunch of questions. I had done the same with a couple different companies and the rep did not use the high pressure sales tactics as some of the other companies so I decided to go with them.

After setting the move up I waited for the movers to get to me the two weeks and I got a call from the driver telling me they could arrive in the next day if I was ready. This was great since I was pressed for time in meeting my schedule. They got there, put everything in the truck with the efficiency of an assembly line, and were out of there in about two and a half hours. I would never have been able to do it half as quick.

My things arrived at my new place as scheduled and the move was pretty much done in another two hours. I had the opportunity to go over my list of items and check to make sure all was in the same condition they left. Nothing was damaged or missing, which was all I could ask for. I never felt my things were not in good hands as everyone I spoke to a part of this company was very professional.

Moved for college and used assurance van lines because of their prices. I did not have too much to move as it was a small apartment so the price was very affordable.

The move was a studio worth of items, all for 1200. Movers came on time and delivered in 3 days.

I did not have to do much once the movers got to me since they packed up what was left and has the truck loaded quickly.

The move only took about a week from the time I spoke to a rep. This was a great move at a great price.

I called assurance and let them know exactly what I needed with this move, the rep took down my request and came back with an awesome price quote.

The price stayed the same even when the movers helped with the packing of my things. They were so professional and were willing to go the extra mile to help out.

My move did not take long and the movers were at my new address right on schedule. I just wanted to stop by and thank you guys for the fast move.

There were about six other moving places that I reached out to for quotes, but assurance van lines took the cake for their low prices and how helpful the customer service there is.

The rep gave me so many good tips on making my move easier and less expensive. He went over all of my things, a process which took a while on the phone. I was glad he was willing to do so because I needed all the help I can get.

The movers were all in uniform and handled everything in the most professional manner. I had some requests as to where to place certain things in the truck and the movers were very willing to oblige.

The move ended when the movers arrived two weeks later on the date we established. They had all the things in the truck unloaded very quickly. They were so fast I didn't even think they were done yet when the driver gave me my inventory list for me to go over and sign.

This company took time to listen to what I needed instead of just trying to get me to sign up and book. This was just one of the good things about assurance van lines, their overall service and how they kept me abreast of what was going on was perfect.

STAY AWAY!! I'd give 0 stars if I could!! They sound amazing on the phone when they're trying to get your business but when they actually came I was under quoted by $350.. Now its been over 21 days and I still haven't received any of our furniture/clothes. I had to purchase new clothes for my wife and I for a wedding because we packed it with the movers! The company feels no remorse and un-responsible for the long delay and won't lower their costs for their own inconvenience on me. Also, was told my belongings were basically held hostage until I pay them the FULL remainder before they unload anything. So if you're looking for a moving comapny to take 3+ weeks from Texas to Michigan then you know who to choose!!

This company lies about everything from the start. They are not a moving company -- they are a broker that operates out of a tiny office in midtown Manhattan. They are not BBB recognized, just look them up on BBB yourself. I was underquoted on the phone for a move from D.C. to New York and was told I could have all types of discounts -- AAA, college graduate, etc. -- and that they would handle my move from start to finish. On move day -- another company called American Van Lines says they are "dispatch" and will be sending guys to pick up our stuff. They pack the truck and tell us that we have 200 more cubic feet of stuff than originally quoted (which is approximately the size of 45 large moving boxes) and will not leave until we pay them an additional $600. The Assurance Van Lines office would not take our phone calls and we were out on hold for 10 minutes or longer each time. Please do not use this company. They are fraught with consumer mistreatment, greed and abuse, and have a long history of complaints filed with Better Business Bureau and the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration. Do your research.

Thought I would never get my furniture. It was picked up around the 29th of April from Michigan and I was told it would be delivered by May 3 or 4th. Well so much for that lie. I received my furniture May 20th. The company that delivered was not the same ones that picked it up and they told me it had been in storage in Michigan all that time. Had a lot of crushed boxes and a very old glass lamp was in pieces. The driver told me to bad because I was the one that packed it. It was very well packed and had fragile written all over the box but the box was crushed like something heavy had been stacked on it. The boxes were not handled very carefully as most of them were dented and crushed corners. The worst thing is the broken lamp as it was the only thing I have left of my grandmothers.and all they say was your fault. They didn't even offer to report it to anyone. Oh and one more thing when they called the day before delivery they said they would be there early morning another lie it was almost noon.

I had a very positive experience with these guys. They offered to match the closest competitor's price and provide a ten percent discount so I took advantage. The discount made it so the deal was very good, and they threw in furniture wrapping at no extra cost.

Brian set me up with everything I needed for my move. He even sent me an email detailing the steps in the move, giving me time frames between my place and the new place. The movers stuck to the schedule and the whole move was a breeze. Talk about great customer service.

My family and I are extremely glad we chose Assurance for our moving needs. Everything we wanted in terms of quality, price, and schedule was surely accommodated.

I was pleasantly surprised to find the rep was very professional, helping me with all questions and concerns I had, which were many. Them being able to answer my questions made my decision to go with them easier.

The movers were also very helpful with how they took directions in how and where I wanted boxes and furniture placed. There is nothing this company needs to do to make my experience better, I was very satisfied with their services. I will be gladly using this company again in the future.

I advised sales that I had a limited time in Florida and furniture had to be delivered by 4/21/2017. After checking with the dispatcher of the moving company( he claimed) he advised me that the goods would arrive in Florida by the 18th 0r the 19th of April. When the movers arrived to pick up my furniture they advised me that the earliest they could arrive would be the 25th of the month and more then likely it would be after the 25th. I spoke to supervisor from assurance movers and even though I was lied to on three different occasion about the arrival date he would not return my deposit of 450.00 dollars. This company is an independent broker and not a moving company, be careful and go to the actual moving co. I had to cancel my mover and they kept the money.

We booked with Assurance Van Lines about a month ago and everything went great. I found the rep to be extra helpful and accommodating. We went over all the items I'd be moving so as to lock in a price quote and the price was affordable.

I was told by a couple of friends to watch out for unexpected price increases but Assurance gave us enough info to understand that it would definitely not be going up at all.

The men who made the move for us were very cordial and behaved like pros. They asked where we wanted all our things and how we wanted them wrapped, which was a great service provided by assurance at no extra cost.

Our things got to us on the date and time we were promised. We have only good things to say about this company.

I've had a very good experience with Assurance. I really appreciate that all went as planned and had no mix ups or delays. I was under the impression that companies like this change prices, though that was not the case with us, in fact, the quote provided was the exact price I paid.

Even the movers were as professional as we could ask for. They helped us in the actual packing process and made the move go that much smoother.

There is nothing bad I can say about Assurance Van Lines and the great service they provide. I look forward to recommending this company to others. The movers did a great job of not messing up any of my property.

I had hired assurance to help with our relocation back to Dallas, TX. During this time we spoke to a few moving companies whom all sounded just about the same, with high pressure sales pitches. I took the leap of hiring Assurance and was notified by employer that I needed to stay around for an extra 2 months, 2 weeks before moving.

Since this happen so quick, Assurance did not charge extra because this required date change and relocation of resources. It took about 3 phone calls for us to settle for a date for moving, and had these guys work around my schedule.

At the end, everything worked out well. The movers worked very hard, and I was satisfied with their services. It's all good now.

My entire experience with Assurance Van Lines was fantastic. I was looking for a moving company that would pack my boxes and things for me since I work 60 hours plus a week and had no time to do it. Assurance was one of the few companies our that was able to both pack all my things and give me a fair price quote.

I set the move out date for the exact date of my choosing since a truck was going to be available in my area, I even got to choose the time of day. The moving men had no problems with the size of my items or the furniture, they had it all out the house swiftly.

The date I chose for the move in date had to be pushed back by a week and the customer service rep was totally understanding, letting me know they could place my things in storage for up to a month at no further cost.

When it was finally time for the move in, the movers were there on time and had all my things unloaded and inside the house just as speedily as they took them out the previous place.

I found this company to be really caring and understanding, taking the time to not just accept my business, but to also cater to my time needs.

Assurance delivered on their promise for our relocation. Everything went pretty smooth from our first call to the delivery time. The customer service rep called me back with answers to questions I left messages about and I felt they were being honest about their process.

We were allowed to switch the date to movers got to our house twice without the price going up. The movers got to us and worked like professionals in getiing our stuff out and loaded into the truck.

These guys worked with integrity and I would certainly vouch for their moving services. Thank you.

This is a great moving company. I've used others in the past and have never had the excellent level of service as I did from Assurance. Everything went well with this move. The price was fair, the movers were right on time, respectful and careful. I couldn't ask for more.

There were no problems with the movers. They were so professional I could tell these were career movers. All our things were treated as if they were their own.

I think this was the best move I've done, and as a traveling salesman, I move often. I'll be using Assurance for sure in the future.

To start with- This is a wickedest moving company I ever contracted to move my goods and below are few bullet points:

1. Customer service is RUDE and NOT knowledgeable enough

In the very first call, when you are in the market negotiating with other companies they will allure you by pitching the lowest quote which no other company in the market can beat.
Then couple of days after that initial call you will get the call from there Customer Service, where you should list all your items in details (and when they mention in detail they want to be 95% accurate) and then they will start shooting up the price
Well they would not stop there. Couple of days before your final move, you will get call from their Quality Assurance department and that’s your final call to be very sure with your items and if (in case) you added couple of more items then again they will shoot up your price. You can except this QA call anywhere during your office time and in case you are in middle of something and you request them if they can call you after 10 minutes; they wouldn’t even appreciate and will tell you that this call won’t take more than 5 minutes which eventually will go for like 30 odd minutes.
That was the problem with your pricing system, I hope I would have gone with some other vendor where they send a person to your place to examine all the items.

2. They don’t deliver on TIME
Now let’s go ahead and discuss their delivery timeline - During my numerous call with their Customer Service they did mention that to Utah it would take 5 to 12 days but I finally got my items on 20th day and what happened during this time:
• Assurance is just a broker for van lines. They don’t have trucks of their own in seems. They give contract to external vendor. And I was unlucky enough to get a contractor called UNIQUE MOVING
• My stuff was picked from Tampa and was dropped in Miami (further away from Utah)
• Shipment was lying there in Miami for 10 days
• Driver who was assigned to me was NOT picking up the call
• On calling customer service - They acted as if they had given me money to ship my items I.e. they are customer. In short they were pretty rude

3. They are pretty expensive
During my initial meeting, to get my business, they gave me huge discount if I confirm the booking on the call itself. I was happy that these guys are awesome but the truth is just the obverse. I end up paying $1000 more than the initial estimate
o They charged me $250 for changing the date
o For each item added like even adding a small suitcase they charged gigantic. For small suitcase, they added 70lbs. 70lbs for a small suitcase??It seems that a standard for them
o And for flight more than 12 steps, they charged again and
o I have heard that they even try to convince you that 18-wheeler (SEMIs) cannot get into your community and therefore will be changing $400 to get another smaller trucker

4. Items were missing and damaged
• Couple of my items were missing
• And furniture were damaged – It was NOT visible initially but when I started moving them around I found the broken pieces.

Choosing this company was a really good idea. The moving guys were so helpful and professional. They helped put the rest of our things in boxes and even wrapped up our things with padding.

The customer service rep called us to let us know exactly when our stuff would get to us and ask if that was a good time and date. We had to change our date twice so we were able to get storage for a few days without any extra charges.

Delivery was on time, the driver called us to let us know they were in town and once they got to us they unloaded the truck in seemingly record time. All of our things were still there and nothing was damaged or scratched.

We called around to a few companies yet Assurance Van Lines provided the best all around service to help make our move an easy one. Thanks Assurance.

The phone estimate is not accurate, the delivery date is subject to variation, and the company will not notify you if there is a change of plans. I was told that our things would be here several days ago, and every time I call to find out where they are, I'm told that they will be in touch with me later about what time the delivery will be made the following day. The next day arrives, and I've received no phone call, the movers aren't here, and the cycle repeats itself. Customer service and dispatch are not helpful. Do not hire this company.
