The move was well planned and organized.
The movers had a great attitude, and were very helpful. Despite having bad weather that day, our house was clean when they left; nothing broken, nothing damaged, no surprises.
It was hard to believe that they were being paid by the hour given how quickly they were moving.
A great service and a great moving company -- totally hassle free! Very, very satisfied with American Standard!

Move size: 1 Bedroom Home Service cost: $2000

Scott, from American Standard, told me they were professional movers who would take down, pack, and then set up all our furniture with a binding estimate of $13,000 for a long distance move. On moving day a shady crew with a rented Budget truck shows up, loads half our stuff then tells us the price is $28,000 and our moving window of 7-10 business days has changed to 3 days (Saturday, Sunday, Monday). Since we couldn’t be there that quickly, their suggested solution was to leave our goods in the garage there, with no one to supervise the unloading or protect the goods. Further pressure and conversation revealed these “movers” that American Standard (Brokers, not a Moving Company like they said) had pawned us off to we’re complete crooks. We were very fortunate to have the flexibility on both ends of our move to stop right there and make completely new moving plans with a respectable moving company. Ongoing and Unresolved

Jason was my contact at ASM and this ongoing process. There were  several phone calls and emails back and forth with Jason.  

During all this correspondence there were many questions we ask Jason, the ASMC representative. Included in these repeated Q&A calls were my specific questions ie who packs what items and cost, who drives and delivers our belongings to relocation state, cost, insurance, and..

I was informed by Jason that I would receive white glove service, would have the same driver deliver that picks up, and cost would remain under the minimum and at our quoted price of ..

There was no time during multiple phone calls and emails that Jason disclosed to me that my belongings would be contracted out to the lowest trucking bidder, would take longer than 3 days after the pick up, and be piggy backed on semis that included numerous other deliveries across the country. 

After being influenced and convinced by Jason to use American Standard Moving I paid the required down payment to ASMC and received a contract via email. I chose to pack my own belongings but was told to have the mattress cover, TV packing , and protective bubble wrap available and the movers would secure everything I could not get alone. 

I was given a pick up day of February the 8th. Arrangements that included flights, time off work, and re arranged physician appointments were made to ensure the apartment was packed and ready for pickup date, February 8th 2019. 

On the 8 th I was informed the date was postponed to February 11th 2019 due to “ truck break down “, this was the first of many unexplained blunders that caused me to rearrange scheduling and incurring additional cost by ASMC. Finally, on February 14 th I was contacted by Mike at informing the pick up would be in the morning. The morning of the 15 th Mike called my wife, asking for additional cash in the amount of 50 % of remaining balance. Mike was informed arrangements were made through the corporate office of ASMC that I would not pay until delivery. After several phone calls Mike agreed to load our belongings.  My wife spoke directly to Mike and was advised he would be the driver delivering to relocation state so she left for a 492 mile trip in order to meet Mike on the 16 th, or 17th for delivery. 

After not hearing from ASMC on the 16th , 17th , 18th, we began attempting to contact Mike and customer service without any response from either, worry set in. We had to purchase bedding, kitchenware, and basic living essentials all unexpected expenses in order to survive an empty apartment. On the 19 th finally communication with the customer service representatives at ASMC, during the many conversations that followed we realized that customer service was just a large call center that absolutely had no knowledge about our move, the current location of our belongings or when we could expect our delivery. During one phone call a customer representative, Meta advised me that all she could do is call the dispatcher and simply relay inaccurate information back to me..  so , on 2-20-19 we were told by customer representative, Rachael, we would receive our delivery within 1-2 days, on the 22th we were told 1-3 days, on the 25th we were told 3-4 days. 

With each delay, stress increases and so does our living expenses. 

I am posting this as it is happening in hopes I can prevent others from making our mistakes. As per this post we do not have our belongings, we have not heard from the company, and customer service is basically non responsive. We have absolutely no idea when we will receive our belongings.

Do not hire this broker! It is a SCAM! They handed my family over to complete con-artists! My family trusted American Standard to refer them to a reputable company. Instead, they delivered us to Home Run Movers, a bunch of unprofessional, sketchy thieves.
First, they refused to do a walk through before providing an estimate. Then, they demanded more and more money from my father who had just lost his job. They took advantage of his trusting nature and demanded over $3,000 than the initial estimate AFTER loading everything on the truck. It gets worse. The next day the company that American Standard referred us to called us to tell us their van caught fire and everything was lost. We became very suspicious at this point and contacted the fire department. The fire department told us that no, not everything was lost and a second truck with a sign taped to it appeared and loaded up everything that was left. We started asking questions about where the second truck went and now, the owner of Home Run Movers, the company that American Standard referred us to, won’t answer our calls. My family has lost everything to these people at a time when we were already struggling.

Please review this list of red flags of moving fraud before hiring anyone. Do not use American Standard, they don’t vet their moving companies and only care about making their money.

I had a fabulous experience with American Standard. From the initial point of filling out their form online to them delivering our items, it was a steady ride the whole way. The staff on the phone walked my hubby and I through the quote and how the rest of the adventure would be handled. We had known the transit was on its way and were able to pack up rooms but needed help moving heavy furniture and our large appliances (don't have friends or family in the new location). The movers were on time, handled our properties with care and delivered without damage. I can say they were the best, easiest part of our move. Didn't break the bank or our backs! I would not only use American Standard Moving and Storage again, but I would recommend to my family and friends.

I had a great experience with American Standard Moving and Storage. I was living in Las Vegas and I was offered a new job in Bensalem, PA. I spoke to quite a few companies but I decided to go with American Standard. Their pricing was great and their service was awesome. The movers they had come out to my house packed everything for me. They told me it could take up to 21 days which made me nervous at first. Thankfully they delivered everything only a week after it was picked up. The movers were very professional and ASMS customer service team was really informative and answered any questions I had. I highly recommend to anyone looking to move.

I would recommend all my friends and family to do business with American Standard Moving because the fact that they kept us relaxed throughout this move and took all the stresses on their shoulders. The crew arrived right on time. They packed everything carefully and loaded them cautiously onto the truck. The movers were superbly skilled and very friendly. The delivery window was big but they delivered early. Nothing was broken, damaged or lost. This company is nothing like the other moving companies and I can definitely appreciate that. You will not be disappointed if you go with them!

I wanted to follow up with American Standard after our move yesterday. We (my wife and I) were both TOTALLY impressed with your services, and the crew who moved us were excellent. The three guys (Brian, Jergen and one other who's name I can't remember, sorry) were careful, polite, pleasant, efficient and completely professional! We are happy with how smooth and quick things went and will happily recommend American Standard Moving and Storage to anyone. American Standard Moving and Storage was Great! California to Florida move - 3+ months storage - 18,000 pounds. Vince Pearlman was our initial contact - spent 2 hours itemizing everything, and there were no surprises at the end! Everything went as according to
Our contract. He explained all of our options, and his explanations were accurate. Some were over promising ridiculous things but I like how honest and upfront Vince was. We had a great crew that took two days to complete the packing, one day and three small trucks to load, and one exceptional crew for unloading. You hear stories of missing/broken inventory etc. - we have no such stories. In closing there is not anything I could have asked for they did not already do. This is not the least expensive moving company, but in retrospect the husband and I are very happy we utilized their services. I would highly recommend American Standard Moving and storage for your move!

I didn't have much stuff but what I had was mostly fragile glass and statues and vintage dishes that I was so worried about. I have broken a couple of those when I first moved to US. So I was very nervous. Luckily, none of them broke this time, and its all because of the care and attention of these guys! Thank you for the great service. Wouldn’t even give them one star. That’s are the shadiest most dishonest most despicable people I have ever dealt with. And they made my move an absolute nightmare. I am actually physically ill from all the stress and tension from dealing with them.They charged much more than they quoted and then once they had my things suddenly the were even more charges added before they would deliver. They ignored phone calls, ignored my requests for documentation. I cannot express how much I regret doing business with these people but I promise to not make that mistake again.

American Standard Moving and Storage is one of the slightly pricier options in the city but was well worth it. The guys are clean, polite, kind and don’t smell like smoke.

The customer service from the staff at the office is great.They helped ensure my move went smoothly and stress free.

The guys took about 8 hours for a 2 bed, 2 bath (we have quite a lot of stuff) and we also had a couple unexpected delays to the garbage truck but the guys kept working through and always were very reassuring.

I recommend them for the move.

I promised the guys I would leave review if all went well. So this was for my mother in-law. So she's not the easiest to deal with let alone make happy. The move went off just like Jacob said. The only thing I heard from her was thank you. So in turn I really really thank the boys at American Standard. Last thing I needed was any headaches from the in-laws. These guys give great prices and great customer service. Everyone we spoke to was very professional and sensitive to our needs. Thanks again! Karl.

Jason Frazier lied repeatedly in our phone conversation regarding a planned move from VA to CT. He assured us that 4 movers would assist us with packing (only 2 showed up), and he assured us that the move would go from our place directly to the destination without bundling (not true) with other customers. And that the move would be completed in 2 days. When I pointed out that these things were not present in the contract , he assured me that he could not lie as he was on a recorded line. EVERYTHING HE SAID WAS A LIE— including that. When the 2 guys showed up and told me how the move was really going to happen, I had to cancel that move, rent a truck, hire some guys to help load and pack, drive the truck to CT, and unload it so that my son could start his new job on time. To add insult to injury, ASM would not refund the 1/3rd down payment. At this point it is probably worth the $700 never to have deal with American Standard Movers and Jason Frazier again.

They helped me and my husband settle in nice and secure our belongings for the large haul we had. They literally moved our whole home.

It started at 9am in the morning, The movers shows up in uniforms and introduced themself. They walked in and did in inspection of the items and I did have to tell them which items were not coming since I was only moving partial items.

They were professional and started disassembling the furniture while the other guys started loading the boxes. Within 4-6 hours they had everything disassembled and packed and all the boxes labeled and loaded. They walked me through all the paper work for the insurance and I signed off and they were on their way.

Their customer service was amazing and communicated pick up and drop off times diligently as well.

When they arrived I paid them and they started to unload the truck. I was hesitant at having to pay before uploading but I did anyways and they started to work. They put each box in each room and unpacked and reassembled all of my furniture which took a whole load of work off my my hands and I appreciated it. Thank you American standard!!. I highly recommend using them!

Excellent, professional service. We made a last minute booking the day before the move and everyone was more than accommodating. By the following afternoon all our stuff was moved. Bed was wrapped in plastic at no extra charge, staff were all very polite and friendly. And even shuffled furniture around for us at the new place to get it exactly where we wanted it. Wonderful service, we will definitely be using this company for all our moves. And price was definitely reasonable for saving us all the trouble and effort. We’ve used American Standard Moving twice now and will always use them for future moves! We’ve gotten a three man team each time and they are very skilled at what they do. Both times they were great!

The movers are polite, efficient, and careful with packing and unpacking your belongings. They don’t have waste time and work very hard.

Booking with the company is very easy and they’re always on time and ready as planned.

We so appreciate having a good moving service that also provide you with an exclusive box truck and drives it themselves within the timeframe that they promise so it’s one less thing for us to worry about when we are in a rush or have a set time to be in our new house!

I chose American standard Moving simply because I had heard about them for years. After asking for information via their website one of the estimators called me and we reviewed the inventory that I created. He was very professional and easy to deal with. Later, when I needed to change my move date the staff was accommodating and rescheduled me quickly with zero hassle. Finally, when the day came, the two men who arrived were courteous, professional, and worked quickly (very conscientious that I was being charged by the hour). They are the main reason I am giving 5 stars and will certainly use them again if I need to.

From start to finish we were absolutely taken care of! In our case American standard Moving showed up with Eight Men and Three Trucks, and the result was spot-on. We decided to go with this moving company because of their reputation for caring more and being more careful than "the other guys." Well, we've used "the other guys" in the past, so we have a reference point, and it turns out that the good reputation is well-deserved.

Among other things, our family-heirloom piano was given a meticulous and gentle "all-hands-on-deck" move up some pretty difficult stairs. Not a scratch, and barely even a bump! Our move was a two-parter since the carpet wasn't installed at the time we needed to make the first big move, so we had the guys come back out and do an "internal" house move to get a lot of things where they belonged after the carpet was in. That went just as smoothly as the first move. These men are clearly trained to be careful, respectful and efficient.

The estimate was accurate. The communication through the whole process never lagged. The crew showed up on time (which, based on past experience, is actually an amazing feat in this industry!). The work they did was right on the money. So much stress was pulled off of us because of the way they interacted with us and our stuff!

I spent a few weeks looking for a moving company and found this one. It appears that movers get tons of complaints which is very confusing when trying to select the right company. Even the largest movers have a lot of bad reviews. I chose American Standard Moving and Storage because they were referred by 2 consumer watchdog websites that claimed they are one of the best. My relocation was from NC to NY for a 4 bedroom house and car. American Standard Moving managed the job well and recommend where to go for the car which was great!. They sent a crew of 5 guys to pack, load and deliver. I had my own truck and delivery time of about 3 days. I am very pleased with their service. I would use American Standard Moving over most movers!
