American Standard Moving helped move our furniture and personal belongs from our old 2,700 sq ft house to our new 4,000 sq ft house less than 2000 mile away.
Initially, I had planned to only have my furniture moved and not lighter or personal items. I explained to Thomas (the owner) that our dining and living rooms were both heavy and fragile at the same time. Our white modern leather furniture are stark white and heavy as bricks. As heavy as the pieces were, they moved them as though on the tips of their fingers. They were washing their hands frequently throughout the move to ensure that no dirt would be engrained on the pieces as they were moved. I planned for the move to last between 14 hours and only for the main furniture to be moved. When I saw how well they were doing, we extended the whole day until late evening and practically moved the entire house. They did great and worked at the same pace in their last couple of hours as they did when they arrived. Another thing I noticed is that they don't get irritated by picky customers (like myself!) following them around and stating remarks of caution. I found American Standard Moving and Storage online and hired them based on the immaculate reviews I read, which only turned out to be exactly what was written. Move size: 3 Bedroom Home Service cost: $6750

They will a 100% get to your place and start asking for more money even if your items are less. And they hire a pathetic movers company named Energy Systems, full of scam and if you see their reviews you will never want to use them. They keep asking you more and more money, deliver broken goods, some goods were missing. They just write some date and when ask they will say a different time and date and deliver at different time and date. On calls they are super rude especially Energy Systems, they will ask you to go to the brokers, brokers will ask you to go to them.
And the guy who asked u to use them on the first call is out of the picture, no one takes responsibility. They just make story we have to load and unload so another $400 etc etc, they don't even listen to customers problems, and what was promised. If I am reaching on 10th or 13th by flight how can they just deliver 2 days before, also they say 30 days free storage but once your goods are with them they will ask u more money. STAY AWAY.. Pathetic company.

These people are bunch of jokers. They fall at your feet to get money and then they don't care. Bunch of creeps and losers. Hire contractors to move your stuff and they ay choose conveniently people who don't speak english. They broke all my furnitures. They didn't know how to assemble my sofa. Took two hours and assembled it incorrectly. On top of that they charged extra above what I initially signed up for. NEVER NEVER EVER GO WITH THESE JOKERS.They don't know anything about moving. Customer service don't even pick up your call. These people are pathetic. Throw your furniture but never pick these movers.

Move size: Studio Service cost: $1800

I would not recommend working with this agency. They use slick talk to gain your confidence and trust with a low quote at first. On the day of the move, they used a 3rd party moving company ( Stop-N-Move), who jack your quote price up then fail to follow through with communication. I have been told multiple lies about bad weather multiple times. Moreover, Stop-N-Move informed me they could not locate the driver! This has been the most stressful move I have ever been a part of. Needless to say, I had to report my belongings as stolen due to the companies' incompetence and unprofessional behaviors. Any moving company who contracts their customers to a low rate agency should be ashamed of themselves. I'm warning you- stay away from this company!

Move size: 1 Bedroom Home Service cost: $2800

BUYERS REMORSE, BEWARE! This company and its affiliates grossly over promise and under deliver and hold your belongings hostage to get more money incrementally at every step of your move. Do not believe a word that William Jameson, the Operations Manager, says. I would give American Standard Moving -negative- stars if I could. Save your time, save your money and preserve your peace of mind. Whatever they quote you is not worth what you will be forced to endure to get your belongings moved and back in your possession.
The price I was initially quoted more than doubled at pick up. My initial quote was $2281. That price went Up by $3426.55 MORE between the pick up and delivery of my things. Ultimately I was charged $5707.55.
First they were a day late picking up my things. Then delivery of my belongings took 7 days longer than initially promised. My things were picked up in Charlotte, NC and sat in their Atlanta, GA warehouse for 8 days before they finally finished my delivery to New Orleans, LA.
After they had my deposit money customer service and communication was disturbingly sparse. Their truck drivers and lead movers for my pick up and delivery: Johnny and Mikey, both had horrible attitudes and threatened to quit the job and leave without loading and unloading my things on the day of pick up and on the day of delivery. Mikey refused to put things back together at delivery as they had promised. Beds, book shelves and more were left in pieces. Mikey the delivery driver even refused to give me time to inspect their work and my things before rushing off after an incomplete delivery job. From start to finish it was the most stressful and unnerving experience. I lost much sleep and shed tears behind this experience. I would never recommend and never again use American Standard Moving, nor Trans Van Lines, the company they contract to actually load, relocate and move your things. Do not patronize either company. Spread the word: They both lack integrity and their quality of customer service is dismal. DO NOT PATRONIZE AMERICAN STANDARD MOVING NOR TRANS VAN LINES.

I called American Standard Moving on a recommendations from a friend who recently moved. They were curious and helpful from the start. From the time the women came to do the Estimate of the furniture right down to the delivery and the end of the day. My foreman was Brian (I think) and he could NOT have been any nicer, professional and really on the ball with EVERYTHING that needed to be done! He made sure he and his team wrapped and protected all my furniture, moved everything carefully, and packed up the truck in a time efficient way. They did the packing and driving of 3 hrs away all in one day (this is the ONLY complaints, as I think they should have packed one day, and moved the next) because when they finally finished- it was 9pm at night. I would not have ANY reservations to recommend them again to any and all my friends. If you are on the fence about taking a chance of them, don't. Call Shleppers and you will be confident that your move will be a EXCELLENT capable hands! Thank you!!

Beware of this company. Did a long distance move from east coast
to west coast. First I was quoted a price by a broker and than the price changed considerably. Secondly items were stolen and broken
when received on the other end, as well as the move taking much longer than expected. Agents did not return calls and there was no
communication to track where the drivers were. Do not use this company under any circumstances, they are liars and scam artists.

Move size: Partial Move Service cost: $2600

This was a horrific experience. I didn’t realize how difficult it would be to have the contents of a 10x10 packed storage unit from New Mexico to Pennsylvania. We explained to the quoting agent that the unit was packed full in a 10x10 Uhaul storage unit. The pickup window was 3-5pm. At 4:45 we had not heard anything so much husband contacted the dispatch department for an updated ETA. While he was on the phone they called my cell with a 5 minute warning. We were told we’d have a 30 minute window to get to the storage unit. The two gentlemen stepped out of the truck and requested to look at the contents of our unit prior to loading. One of the guys told us he was going to have to charge us an additional $1,500 to move the contents of the unit because despite the contract saying our items included a full 10x10 storage unit, the reservation only had the square footage for half. I attempted to call back the number to the agent I made the reservation with. There was no response. We called the dispatch line again and were connected to an extremely rude woman. Our contract had a binding to not exceed agreement that was violated by the company. They refused to honor their price after I put down a $1,100 deposit. I wouldn’t recommend the services to my worst enemy. I suggested that the company have some training in the area of quoting storage units. That was not taken too kindly. I let the woman know that due to their inability to follow through on the contract agreement I would be taking steps to get my deposit back. She laughed and said they have a really good finance department and could assure me that I wouldn’t get any of that back. I let her know I’d be reaching out to the better business bureau.

Horrible service. Inaccurate quotes. Unethical business practices.

Move size: 2 Bedroom Home Service cost: $26000

I was moving long distance and this was a terrible company to chose. Here is a list of reasons:

1. The representative that convinced me to use this company was great but as soon and I paid the deposit, he completely disappeared even though he was my "point of contact."

2. Upon pick up and delivery, I was given a couple hour window and the movers were not even remotely close to those times.

3. I ended up with a lot less stuff than I used in the estimate but somehow took up more space on the truck..? I ended up getting charged $500 more than the estimate.

4. The entire 2 weeks it took to transport my belongings, I was completely in the dark. By this, I tried calling the representative and customer service but getting voicemail and never getting my calls returned. I emailed multiple times with no response either.

5. When my stuff did arrive, some stuff was broken and/or ruined. The bed of the truck had to have been wet and so boxes were damp and falling apart and any wood was warped.

This experience is something I could have lived without. The whole ordeal just felt very sketchy.

Please use a different company for your own good.

Move size: 1 Bedroom Home Service cost: $2175

We dealt with a Brian S. Please stay away from him as all he did was lie to us. Not a single thing we originally agreed on stayed true in the end. The driver showed up and was completely unprepared. Not only unprepared, he had a completely different contract from what we originally agreed on. I imagine a company like this is supposed to make the moving process easier but no, they only made it extremely tedious on us. We ended up suffering in the end because of how much they lied to us. I’m amazed typing this because I’ve never heard of a company lie this much to the customer. We were willing to pay hard earned money for a service and they ruined it 100% by lying to us and then acting like we were the fools. Hidden fees left and right. There was a hidden fee for going up and down a staircase. What kind of ridiculous fee is that? I’ve never heard of such a thing. They wanted to charge us $300 dollars for loading a video game console. They told us the piano will be taken care of. They get here and wanted to charge $350 just to package it. They wanted to charge us $48 per box. In the original deal, we were supposed to be given 50 boxes upfront. Imagine the look on our faces when this news is brought to us. The whole thing was wrong. All the payments were wrong. Originally the final deal was to cost $6,575. They get here and wanted us to pay $13,583 + potentially more. They told us over the phone that storage would cost $350 after the free month. We find out this was also a lie, as it was supposed to cost $1,500. I’m trying to specify just how wrong every single number they told us was. We gave them a virtual tour so there were no surprises. It comes down to the final deal, and there are plenty of surprises. I’ve never dealt with such a poor company. All rude, careless after they have a deal and did nothing to help the situation. We trusted them and they did nothing but fail us. We ended up cancelling the deal and in the last minute, we have to scramble for a new company. We ended up taking the local route which is significantly cheaper which no complaints. The worst thing about this to me is just how much of an idiot they took us as. Please don’t fall for the same trick we fell for. It’s not worth it and will only make your moving experience miserable. Find a different company. Please. 0/5. 0/10. 0/100. Such a regret. Once they get a deal, they won’t return your calls. They got our money and it was impossible to get hold of anyone. Pathetic.

Move size: 4+ Bedroom Home Service cost: $13587

Them and especially the companies they broker with to actually move your items. They make promises then don't deliver. They charge for services the drivers refuse to fulfill. "They'll put your furniture together when they get there for $200" Flat out lie. They will sit on your stuff and then call and run down a list of all these extra expenses you have to pay BEFORE they will deliver it. Their customer service gal is the most unprofessional, unreasonable person I've ever had to deal with in a professional setting. Their drivers can't drive. They tried charging me an extra $500 because "there were curves in the road". Yes that is a quote from them. Items listed on the inventory that are picked up don't make it to the final destination. 1 star is 1 too many.

Move size: 2 Bedroom Home Service cost: $3800

I hired this company to move me to another state. They guaranteed me a full refund without penalty if I canceled 2 months prior to the scheduled move date. They told me they would have a check in the mail to me within 2 weeks. It has been 2 months since I canceled and they keep saying I am on the list for a refund, but they haven't sent it and can't tell me when they will. One of their customer service agents, Emily, is extremely rude and has no customer service skills. I would stay as far away from this company as possible.

These guys will totally scam you. BUYER BEWARE. AVOID AT ALL COST. Specifically, William the operations manager lied to us, then would never return our calls when the move started. They will use bait and switch tactics, under quote your job, tell you it will be "their guys" moving you, assuage you that everything will be terrific and then, like us they will subcontract your move to someone else and walk away with a pretty penny while you're stuck with a different company, a price near double what you planned.. oh, and don't forget they will price you in weight and then the other move company will price you on volume. Don't get screwed, please please please don't use these guys.

I contracted American Standard to move my house form PA to NC. The main reason for selecting them was the person on the phone assured me that they are not a broker, but they handle all their own moves LIES. I was also told that the person I did my inventory with would assist in any future questions/concerns, I was never able to reach him again after collecting my non-refundable deposit. Now the movers who moved us damaged several items and no one will own up to repairs. I asked about different parts of the contract and was told repeatedly it was an "old form, we do not do that anymore". If Neil Greco calls you from this company, hang up and block the number!!

You will thank me later do not use their services! We made an out of state move from California to Oregon. At first Brian Sanchez who is totally unprofessional, was calling and bothering us to use their services. Took a very long time, kept moving dates, and took over two weeks to deliver our things.They still charged us after losing over 5k worth of stuff. They said they delivered it to the wrong address and there was nothing they could do after that to recover them. We tried calling Brian back and after he had realized his team didn’t do their job right he stopped answering. They still made us pay them 500 after we asked them where the rest of our stuff was. Family heirlooms, designer purses, a guitar, and furniture all gone. We called customer service and were told to make a claim but didn’t want to meet with the 10,000 insurance policy! Do not go with this company! The prices might be lower than other companies but you will end up regretting it after.

Worse company I ever did business with. Raised my price $800. With the same amount of items. When my things arrived at my new house, there was missing sentimental items and after unpacking there was a lot of damage. Please save your money and go with a mover that does everything and not several companies. I made a claim and never heard from anyone. We were told that the price of moving would be 1400, with no chance of being higher only lower. In that price, we paid for 30 boxes, our two couches, among other furniture in the house hold. When they got there, we were told there wasn’t enough room in the truck. Long story short, they tried to charge us 3k for the amount of things we had that originally costed 1400. Not to mention, they ended up ONLY MOVING THE FURNITURE!! Don’t waste your money or time on this company!!
