Move from Michigan to North Carolina.

I would not recommend this company for your move. My belongings were picked up on 5/01/18 and delivered 6/17/2018. That is 45 actual days and 32 per their standard of not counting week ends and holidays.
Tues 05/01/2018 Truck arrived at 3:00 and was loaded by 5:45. Listed 5/03 as earliest delivery date
Load going to warehouse in Chicago until loaded for delivery

Mon 5/7/2018 No word on delivery talked to Zack and he said he would check with dispatch and get back to me

Wed 5/9/2018 Zack said I was schecduled on load to Ga, SC and NC but did not have a date.He would keep in touch

Fri 5/11/2018 Zack now told me I was on load to NC &Florida and would be delivered Sat 5/12 or Sunday 5/13 (Mothers Day)

Sat 5/12/2018 Not on load he told me on Friday. He would check with dispatch and call me Monday.

Thur 5/24/18 Still no call from Robert. Talked to Sasha who went and talked to Robert in dispatch. Was told I was scheduled on a load with 4 others and Robert would call me in the afternoon. called back in at 3:30- Derrick told me I am still in the system as being called today.

Friday 5/25/2018 Spoke with Derrick. Robert out of the office due to problem with driver. Robert would call me when he comes back in.

Sat 5/26/2018 Spoke with Matthew. was going to talk to the owner to get this cleared up and would call me back. No call back

Called 571-223-6123 which was sales. Was told it was not his job to help with my delivery

Wed 5/30/18 Talked to Robert. Apologized for the run around I have been getting and asked if I would be available all next week for delivery. I told him yes any day. Said would be working
on scheduling and would call me on Friday

Friday 6/01/2018 Talked to Aaron Ext 9031. Still listed for call today by Robert. At 4:30 I called back and after 1/2 hour hung up

Sat 6/02/2018 Called and reached Steve in Reservations. As I was explaining the situation we got cut off. He said tomorrow is the deadline for delivery.

Mon 6/4/2018 11am- talked to Sasha who told me no update in system. Was going to check with Robert in dispatch and call me back within 45 min.
12:20 left her a message as there was no call back
1:15pm Called and talked to Kate. She said she did not know where my stuff was. When I asked what she meant she said it could be on route or in the warehouse. I told her if it was on " route it should show in the data base that it was on the way. She then said that it shows I am up for delivery but no date shows up. That was why Sasha didn't call me back. Told her that when they tell someone they are going to call they should call either way instead of not calling at all .She said that she would get me an update and and call me back within 2 hours.
4:25pm Called back and got Kate. Still not info said she was going to call me at 5.

Tue 6/5/2018 9:39 Called and got Kate again. No update. Told her to go see Robert in dispatch like Derrick had done a few times. She told me she didn't know who Robert was. Told her he is in dispatch and should show up on her directory of employees. Told me he did not. I told her I was sick of the run around I have been getting and wanted a manager. She said she was alone in Cust Serv at this time. Told her I was sick of all the lies I have been getting. She told me she would call me back with an update when she got one. Told her she was a liar.

9:45 am Robert in dispatch called me. Said he could see Kate from where he was sitting and was upset that she said that. Truck I was scheduled on when came back in with an oil leak and was out for repair and should have an update on Friday. Told him I was sick of the [EDIT] and lies.
Told me he would call me Friday if he has an update. Asked that he call me either way as I would rather hear he has no update than nothing at all. He told me others who were on the load I was scheduled on are waiting also though I have waited the longest. He said that I am his priority.
Told him to tell Kate that me calling her a liar was very accurate.

My stuff is in Elmhurst Il in temperature controlled new warehouse. No dust and very clean. Owner bought it a year ago. Was told owners name is Kevin Parrish. (2nd name I have been given)

Friday 6/08/18 No call from Robert.
12:40 talked to Sasha said she would have Robert call me . Slated for delivery but no driver has been assigned.

Saturday 6/9/19 10:55 am Kate. The truck has been repaired and is waiting to be inspected. Asked to talk to Robert. She said he was out of the office.

Monday 6/11/2018 10:00 am Robert not in. Talked to Kate. Last note in file is waiting for inspection on the truck due to deliver my stuff. She said she will call me by 3pm either way whether she has an update or not.
No call. 3:30 sat on hold for 25 min and hung up.
4pm left message for Zack Stevens

10:57 Kate No update. Dealing with 100 people a day so that is why she didn't call me back. Told 40 actual days her that doesn't say much for their service if they are getting so many calls

Fri 6/15/2018 10:30 am Load is on route. First she said she would call driver and ask him to call me with ETA. Then said she could not and I could call back tomorrow for update. Said "The driver will call you an hour before he will be at your location or 20 min or when he is around the corner to let you know what time he will be there." Then said again I should call tomorrow. I sent Roberts some texts to call me
12:15 Robert called to let me know they are on route with 2 loads in VA and then me. Driver will call me 24-48 hours before delivery.
4:50pm Driver , Isaac, called. ETA is Sunday between 3pm and 8pm. Will call about an hour before.

Sun 6/17/18 Fathers Day. My family was here to celebrate and wait for movers! They called at 7:15pm and got here right at 8:00pm. When done unloading and unpacking the the 2 boxes they packed Isaac said "Well that is it". I had to ask him to reassemble my tv, lawn mower and patio table the movers who packed me up had taken apart. I did realize until after they left that they had put the lawn mower handle on backwards. They crammed my trash can with plastic and tape instead of taking it with them. I could not put my trash from inside to be picked up. A few items were broken in boxes marked Fragile.

No Gimmicks Real Movers.

Im an everyday person. I work hard for a living and provide for my family. I recently accepted a position within my company and had to move my family over 500 miles away. It was impossible to have done this move on my own so renting a truck and doing the labor was simply out of the question. I put in a request to receive quotes from various movers in my area. I took about 7 calls and researched every company I spoke to. I narrowed it down to 3 companies and I felt American Eagle had earned my business. At no point did I feel like I was being swindle or sweet talked to get a deposit. I made my deposit when I felt I was ready and nobody there was pushy and my moving associated respected my time. On move day the movers arrived and handled each piece carefully. I purchased insurance as well as paying extra for my boxes to be packed. I did not have the time nor the energy to pack up a 4 bedroom house with kids clothes and toys on top of all my important pieces out of my office. The movers packed and unpacked everything I did not lift a finger. Nothing was damaged and I was not charged any additional fees. American Eagle is honest and legitimate. I have since then passed along their information within my company to my Human Resource coordinator I was so impressed with how they handled the relocation. The are professional and have been operating like this for many years and I would happily consider them in the future.

Best Price Actual Movers.

The first thing I was told to look for when selecting a mover was to make sure they were the actual moving company and not going to broker my move out to an unknown third party and American Eagle was exactly what I was looking for. All of thier licenses are up to date and have a record that speaks for itself. I got prices from a group of companies and American was the best price I recorded. More importantly then the price was the quality of the move starting with the itemized list I put together with my agent. The list had to be exact so when the moving men showed up I would not be forced into last minute charges or any negative consequence. The service I got with this company was nothing short of exceptional. I did my homework when making this choice and it paid off. My personal property is important to me and I wanted to make sure the company I selected would treat it accordingly. I did not want to hire a moving company and be left out to dry when they did not show or try to take advantage of me in a desperate time. There was no surprise charges no funny business and no stress. I am very impressed with the professionalism this company keeps. I did not have to wait for updates they were given to me at all stages of the move and the delivery was on time as well. It was a experience I hope others may have when they decide to relocate. They are worth your time. Thank you guys.

Long-distance move from Minnesota to Colorado

Horrible customer service and deceptive practices.

Do not use this moving company. First, we were given a quote and told on a recorded line and in writing that if we didn’t use the full amount of quoted space, we would get a reduction of $7 per cubic foot we didn’t use. So we gave away a lot of our stuff to family and charity. We also threw away a lot so that we wouldn’t be paying to move it. Turns out they decided not to honor this. Second, they told me that they have their own trucks and drivers and do not contract out the move. Ha! Another lie.
Then we got close to the actual moving date. We had it set up for a Saturday, knowing the back-up date would be Sunday. I was told we’d get a call the day before to confirm by the person who called a week ahead of time to confirm dates and she swore up and down it would happen on Saturday. So Friday before the move we wait for a call from the company. Finally after waiting until almost closing time, we call them to find out when they will arrive. They advise it will be on Sunday (not Saturday) between 9 and 11. Fine, we understand things are sometimes out of your control. So Sunday rolls around and where is the moving company? Finally around 2pm we get a call from the driver (not the moving company) that they are in Chicago and will be at our house on Monday around 10am.
So Monday morning, movers show up and this is when we find out they will not honor the promise made in writing and on the recorded line that we would get money off our quote for space not needed. We have to go along with it because they made me give a non-refundable 35% deposit up front to book our move. The movers were great and did a good job. It wasn’t their fault the moving company lied and broke their promises.
We were then told our stuff would arrive in our new place in 10-14 days at the most. We didn’t actually receive our items until 31 days had passed. Meanwhile during all this time, the moving company wouldn’t return my phone calls, didn’t answer their phones most of the time and when I did get someone on the line it was always oh, um, we should have your stuff to you in 3-5 days.
Finally, we get a call from the driver (again not the moving company, but another third party company) and they will deliver our household items and furniture 31 days after it had all been picked up. They did a great job but many of the boxes were ripped, dented, smashed or damaged beyond normal wear and tear. We were supposed to get claim forms at delivery but since it wasn’t the actual moving company they didn’t have them.
Still no call from the moving company to check in and make sure we don’t have any issues or need a claim form. They obviously don't care and once they have your money, you are screwed.

Long-distance move from Mineral Point, WI to Las Vegas, NV

Total Disaster.

Do NOT use this company. I would give them a ZERO if it were an option. In April 2018, I contracted with this company to move the possessions of my daughter from WI to Las Vegas, NV. I was told delivery would be 7-21 business days with normal being 7-10. I paid 1/3 down and 1/3 at pick up with 1/3 due on delivery. I was told unless we “doubled the load,” the price quoted would stand. However, when we added items, they doubled the price. It was either pay or lose the deposit. So I paid. Her load was picked up on May 23…over 6 hours late. I asked the driver (Osnid G) if he would be driving it all the way to LV. He assured me he would and said he would be on the road by May 26 and would see us in Vegas in “about a week.” When there was no contact by May 31, I called the customer service line and asked when the load would arrive. I was told the load was in a warehouse in Chicago, waiting for a crew to be assigned to pick it up and drive it across country. In the next week, I called several times and was told there was no estimate of when the load would arrive…that it was still sitting in Chicago. I asked Derek in customer service to speak to his supervisor and was told he had no supervisor. I emailed their ‘support’ address with no reply. I emailed the employee, Troy Matthews, who sold me the contract, with no reply. Eventually, I called so many times they would send my call right to voice mail and then never call me back. They did accept calls from my duaghter’s number since she was being careful not to be angry or pressure them. But it was always a different story. “A crew has been assigned but they haven’t shown up. The load is on the board but hasn’t been picked up. There are three loads to Arizona and it will go with them but there is no timeframe.” At one point she was told the load was still in Wisconsin but no one would tell us exactly where her load was. On July 9, I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. On July 17, my daughter was told the load was enroute and would likely be delivered by the end of the week. When it didn’t arrive, she was told she should have it in another 3-4 days, but dispatch “didn’t know” exactly where the truck was. She was told she would get a call from the driver when he was 72 hours out and again when he was 24 hours out. When I called the DOT complaint line on July 24, I was told American Eagle Moving had been “out of service” since July 12! I was told they may have sub-contracted the load to another company. On July 25, NINE WEEKS AFTER PICK UP, she got a call from Mayflower Moving that they were 10 minutes away! The truck was not able to park just outside the condo building, so they demanded another $900 to carry the items to the condo. It was pay or not get her items. So in addition to having to pay the last 1/3 of a contract totally broken by American Eagle, I had to pay $900 to get them to unload. The whole experience was a nightmare.

This was so nice to have a new home and be settled in and not have to be looking for things that may be missing or damaged. Obviously nothing went wrong with my move, and I personally think / know that it was because of American Eagle. Professional,polite, quick, and perfect I would say. Highly recommend from me!!

Be VERY wary of this company.

Be VERY wary of this company. We were charged 3x the amount of the initial quote at the time of pick up. We were promised over the phone a drop off delivery date of 3 days from the pick up from the salesman, the pick up driver and the dispatcher. We finally received our items more than two weeks from the pick up date. When we did receive our items, many things were broken, damaged and mis packed by the carrier. We had a very difficult experience dealing with the customer service team as well. Never Use this Company.

American Eagle Moving Company Review

On March 15, 2018 I called American Eagle Moving Company and spoke to Reservations Specialist Jared. Jared gave me all the pertinent information regarding cost and such. I informed him of my move date and he informed me that movers will be at my home in Plano, TX to pick up my items on June 1 or June 2. He then asked me when will I want my items delivered. I told him I want them delivered by June 15 2018. He stated that would be great because deliver is 2 weeks after pick up. Great! After I paid $1500 deposit (balance $750 -- $375 delivered on pick and $375 on drop off). I called at least 2 month in April and in May. Then the last week prior to pick up, I called everyday to find out when the movers were arriving. The movers came on June 2. The movers were nice and educated me my move. They also informed me that if I go over the 550 cubic feet that was quoted to me that I would have to pay extra for the me. (1).. this was the first time I heard anything like this and I moved crossed state lines since 2001. So with that being said, I had to leave my brand new sectional I just brought in TX. Next, I relocate to Falls Church, VA and moved into my apartment June 15. I called American Eagle on June 13 to get an estimate time of when the movers will be coming to my apartment to deliver my items. They informed me for the FIRST time that my items will not be delivered on June 15, but that was the first available date of deliver. I was LIVID!! I explain to the reps and Managers that this was the first time this was told me. I felt as though no one from the company seemed to care about me or my items. I called every day and was honestly in fear of the company stealing my items to which I have expressed this to them numerous time. At the end of June, I found googled and found the name and number of the owner of the company. I called him and he too was a bit rude to me initially. I allowed him to calm down and he advise me to text him my job ID number and he would call me back. He never called back. So it was July 3rd (a month after not having my items AND exactly 4 days after the 2 weeks from the first date of deliver) my items were not loaded on the truck nor a driver was available. I called on July 5th and the rep FINALLY told me my items were loaded and are on their way. The movers called me that Saturday July 7th and stated they would be to my apartment on July 8. Naturally they were NOT.. they came July 9. Ok cool. NOW here is where I lost it. The movers get here and tell me, they cannot move my items from truck to my apartment unless I paid an EXTRA $450. The first 50 feet was free and everything after I have to pay $75 per feet. I was so emotional. When I called American Eagle Movers, there was nothing they could do. I was even told they American Eagle Movers told the movers to leave my items on the sidewalk, collect the balance of $375 and leave. WHAT COMPANY DOES THAT!! I suggest to you ALL DO NOT USE THIS MOVING COMPANY. It was a horror movie come to life for me. The communication was poor, the lack of customer satisfaction was poor, no form of taking responsibility. OH and one time I called and spoke to a rep and she hung up on me as I was talking… Rude Reps. FYI, the lost my headboard, box spring, 2 carry on suitcases and broke numerous dishes and glassware. I have filed a claim and now it will take them 12 weeks (4 months) just to investigate… SMDH. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY AT ALL. STAY FAR AWAY!!

Really the best.

We found American Eagle online on a customer review forum. After seeing all the positive feedback from recent moves we figured we would give them a shot. I called the company directly and worked closely with my sales representative. I walked through my home and called off the items I would be taking. They entered it into thier system and emailed me my quote in writing. The price was well in line with our budget and I was pleased with the level of service and decided to reserve our move with them. Everything went incredibly smooth. We had the boxes packed beforehand so when the movers showed up all they had to do was load the truck and head out for our new home. They guided us through this process and made sure we understood our estimate and felt comfortabld and confident with the company and we did. Hard working and honest and I’m a happy customer.

We've had our life's possessions stolen by this company. We call the company and they hang up on us. They won't give you their actual location of where their business is - what kind of business is that.
We live on social security and have had all our possessions stolen. You will REGRET your decision if you use this company.

Quality work.

This process was hands down quality work. The phone calls were not overwhelming and very informative. When we made a choice to use American Eagle, we didn’t feel pressured. Very happy and felt great as our knowledge widened. Moving days were both easy and clear cut. The time came to pay and they gave us a discount because my Father was a Purple Heart recipient in World War Two. I am thrilled and very satisfied with this company. I will always recommend using American Eagle. Thank you all for the discount and hitch was a real tear jerker and thank you for the hard work and dedication to perfection.

Top of their game.

American Eagle called me after I made a request for prices on my move I had last month. I apologize to them for not doing this sooner but I’ve been very busy in my new home. I decided to work with them mostly because I liked the way they handled them self. Everybody was very helpful and patient with me being this is my first time using a full service mover. The first couple phone calls we got a lot of the basics on paper. We then began putting my list together. I reviewed it a few times before making my deposit. I was confident they would get the job done right and they did. When they showed up for pickup I had all my smaller boxes ready. The contract I agreed on they honored and no adjustments weee made. Overall it was a great move. I’m happy I gave them my business and I’d be happy to again if needed in the future.

The worst.

If I could give zero stars! This company is responsible for the worst moving experience of my life. Having been jilted by moving companies before I painstakingly followed up with my coordinator (Jared) for weeks. He gave me an estimate, took my deposit, said he would be communicating with me the whole time through my move. Well, two weeks before my scheduled moving date Jared's phone number no longer works. I call customer service everyday and wait on hold for at least twenty minutes. They tell me everything for my move is fine and I will have a dispatcher contact me 48 hours before my move.

48 hours, nothing.
24 hours, nothing.
Finally the morning of I get a call from a totally random guy, unaffiliated with the company. He says he has another job and can't move me until the next day. So we wait another day. Meanwhile, I am living in a hotel in Tuscaloosa and my fiance is still at our apartment in Savannah, everything packed up waiting for this guy. He comes in demanding a check for thousands of dollars (total arbitrary number, not in the quote) and says he won't do anything until my fiance writes it out. So he writes him and check and puts "american eagle movers" in the memo line and the guy freaks out and says it has to be made out to him personally. When my fiance questions this the guys yells at him and says he doesn't appreciate being accused of stealing. Then he storms out of the house and says "I ought to beat your a**."

So after taking the check, finally, this hostile man takes all of our stuff and puts it in his truck and then says he won't be delivering it until the check clears. Its a sunday. So we wait another three days before he calls saying he will deliver now but that I have to have another $1000 payment for him IN CASH or he wont leave where he is.

Also, I missed his call at 830 am. He knows we're at the new place (without furniture) waiting for him. I called him back at 9 and he said he already started a new job and wouldn't get to me until later.

Now he gives me the number of a new driver. I still haven't been able to call and complain to customer service because I have no idea where this guy is, who he is, what he is going to do with all of possessions..this new driver says he is on his way (at 330pm, its a 6 hour drive) and that he'll call me when he is close. He calls when he is about an hour away. I go to my new apartment and wait. Two hours go by. I call his phone, it's dead.

They finally show up to my apartment at 10:45pm and I just have them load everything into the first floor living room because I'm worried they'll charge me a few extra hundred dollars if they have to go upstairs! Even though it was mentioned before I got the quote that there would be stairs!

Anyway I'm writing this because I am furious and still can't get anyone from the company on the phone.

Thousands and thousands of dollars to have the rudest, least helpful, AGRESSIVE man I've spoken to hold my stuff captive for days on end while demanding increasing amounts of money written out to him personally or in cash.

SKETCHY, UNPROFESSIONAL, STRESSFUL, HORRIFIC.

Do NOT use this moving company.

Just in time.

Unfortunately I was only given four days from my company to move. I contacted American Eagle and they were very professional and I couldn't believe that in the middle of the summer they actually had the availability to get me picked up and dropped off. Thank you very much for all of the hard work that everyone did including Chris and the three men that showed up to move my stuff. My wife and I were thrilled and now my company has their favorite employee working there now and my kids have just enough time to get ready for school that's starting in a few weeks.

Refuse to Comply with Department of Transportation laws.

American Eagle is not a company I would recommend. In my dealings with them, they lacked professionalism, Customer service acumen, and common decency. I requested that my estimate/order be canceled. Their contract clearly states a full refund is due as long as they have not showed up for the pick up of household goods. They refused to refund my security deposit. This company is Godless, Lawless and lacks integrity. Please file complaints against them with the Better Business Bureau and the Department of Transportation in Washington, DC. if you have a complaint so their history can be well documented. Their US DOT# is
3057972. Please contact your local Attorney General to also file a complaint against this company. If the States Attorney Generals have too many complaints, they can bar this company from doing business in your state. Please post all complaints to facebook, Twitter and Instagram. They do not deserve your money nor your friends or family when they operate under lies, deceitfulness,and no integrity. STOP THEM BY EXPOSING THEM.
