Let mebegin by saying that within the past 20+ years my family has moved our 5 bedroom house five times. I have experienced good moves and bad moves, but this was the worst ever.

Since this company packed up my belongings and took them to their storage facility, they have not returned my numerous phone calls or emails. I am beginning to think that I have been the victim of a crime or scam.

The packing and moving was a terrible experience:

1. The communication regarding the arrival date and times for the crew was extremely confusing, and their story was constantly changing. The first day they showed up at 5pm and worked for4 hours. The second day they arrived at noon which resulted in their working until after midnight.

2. Because the crew was under-staffed, fatigued and under pressure, they were careless and broke a dresser leg, lamp shade, etc., and banged up walls and doors (they admitted to being awake for over 24 hours)

3. They did not bring any boxes to pack all of our art pieces, and could not properly pack them (the foreman repeatedly apologized for being so unprepared)

4. They ran out of blankets and had not finished packing up our fine dining room furniture and other pieces of furniture. As a result, many pieces of fine furniture we’re just wrapped in plastic

5. We were not given a detailed inventory of our belongings

One of our biggest frustrations and disappointments is that Megan, our customer rep dropped the ball on us. After assuring us that she would be the only person we would be dealing with, and would be there for us on move day if any issues arose, she would not take my calls not return them or my emails. If she was out of the office, why didn't somebody else take over for her? And why will nobody ever return our calls??

Now they have $11,000 of my money and all of our belongings. What are we supposed to do when we are ready for delivery but they won't even return my calls?? Do they intend to return my belongings to me??

The bottom line is that we want assurance that our belongings are being properly stored, that they will be responsive when we are are ready for delivery, and that the company will do a much better job than they did when they packed and carried it to storage.

DO NOT USE- these people will ROB YOU OF YOUR MONEY. Not only are the most unreliable company they literally ambush you with charges they do not discuss with you.

How do you charge your clients who live in an apartment with a long carry fee.... I had to pay $500 extra because they told me I was more than 100 feet in distance from truck to door... are you kidding me? They couldn’t even fit the truck into the loading dock cause it was too large but then made me pay the distance. There dispatch and customer service team are ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE. Jeremy, Barbara and Kate literally could care less in helping you. DO NOT USE. I would be happy to talk to any client about how bad my experience was. They don’t even tell you where the truck is with your stuff. I feel bad for anyone who has to go through what I did

Move size: 1 Bedroom Home Service cost: $3500

This company picked up my things but has given no visibility into when my things will be delivered. I am in a limbo in knowing when things will be delivered and customer service (while friendly) offer no information. I originally chose them because their estimated cost was cheaper than the larger, better known companies but in the end with the lack of clarity on exactly how to estimate my inventory I probably paid the same as I would with a more reputable company. Please use a real company for your move. Always Moving does not qualify.

Move size: 3 Bedroom Home Service cost: $12000

Moved from Bay Area to Austin, TX. Both the move out and move in crews gave us a hard time for things like 'having a long hallway between the elevator and door' and 'having x number of stairs,' even though we told them ahead of time that there were 3 flights of stairs. They ended up charging SIX HUNDRED DOLLARS more than the original quote. I feel as though we were extorted us at the last minute when we had no other options to change movers. We ended up having about 10 boxes missing, some of which contained priceless objects like photographs and objects from deceased family members, as well as home office equipment. They also broke a $350 air conditioner and damaged my partners bike. Some of the boxes were ripped as well. They were careless when putting things down (threw things on drop-off rather than setting down gently) so it's not surprising that a glass container in a box was broken. Would not recommend!

Move size: 2 Bedroom Home Service cost: $4000

Always Moving was a great option for us; we packed it the weekend before closing and sent it to storage. Then we lived with our bare essentials for the week- whatever we could fit in our cars and had the POD delivered to our new home the same day as closing. It was a pretty seamless transition and we didn't have to worry about driving a moving van. So easy, in fact, that I am going to recommend to anyone I hear is going through the moving decision of which company to hire.

Always Moving was unbelievably bad, irresponsible and unprofessional. These are scam artists, have no doubt.

Charged me 3K+ more than quote upon loading. I paid an additional $400 handling fee for my baby grand piano (I am a professor of music). When our delivery came, they had lost crucial parts of my piano, rendering it inoperable. They never found the pieces. They damages so much of out furniture. We received items that were not ours, and a number of our boxes are still missing. That was in August. They will not return my phone calls, emails, or respond to my claim. I have called in excess of 20 times now.

Move size: 2 Bedroom Home Service cost: $9000

I researched movers for my son who was moving his family from San Diego, CA to Centerton, AR. I ended up recommending Always Moving, Inc. due to our sales rep, David, telling me we needn't worry about pickup or delivery times. He explained that their average time for delivery is 5-7 days and only RARELY would it take longer. I explained that they were moving with 3 kids & it would have to be delivered in a timely manner....no worries according to David. This is what sealed the deal and I recommended them to my son who signed the contract. The pickup was October 27, 2020 and delivery was December 26, 2020 so this was a total lie (one of many). When it wasn't delivered by November 10, I called David who put me on hold for 23 minutes and then the line went dead. I called him back and he told me there was currently a truck picking up loads in California and ours would be on the truck...another lie. Customer service told me there hadn't been a truck picking up loads and they didn't know when there would be one available. They ended up listening to David's recorded calls and admitted to me that he lies to all of his customers and they were quite apologetic at that point...even offering a discount/refund for these issues. At this point, I wanted to know where the load was being stored because waiting indefinitely was not going to work. I was prepared to hire another mover or go get it myself in a Haul...but they would NOT tell us the storage location. Once the load was finally on the way, the dispatcher called to let us know the driver would have to receive the balance due before unloading. I expected this but called to ask about the promised discount. The initial deposit was made with a credit card and the remainder was paid in cash at pickup and before delivery. I wanted to know why we were paying in advance for a discount we were supposed to be receiving. It's not like this was a damage claim. The dispatcher assured me it had to be paid in full first and a claim submitted later to recoup any Late Days and to receive the discount. The claim was submitted on January 27, 2021 and we've heard NOTHING...no one will answer or return our calls or emails. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! It's very unprofessional and dishonest and there's no follow through/up at all...just a bunch of empty promises that they can't or won't keep. Complete and total waste of money.

Move size: 2 Bedroom Home Service cost: $7272

Our things were loaded into a truck in Nov 2020. We waited 69 days for our belongings. We could never get answers. Customer service is horrid. They lost a leg of an antique table, broke the leg of an antique buffet, broke a table top, broke the exercise bike and many other things were dented or finish worn off. I worked on a claim and they assured me it would be a high priority to handle our claim after our bad experience. That was in January. Still no word from them and now the phones are all out of service. No integrity. Never listen to the sales talk. Lied to us over and over.

Move size: 4 Bedroom Home Service cost: $17000

Whoever was the customer service working on 7/21/21 will be fired. She is a bad representation of the company. She was nasty and incompetent. She didn’t have the decency to announce the company and sounded like she was in some trailer park looking to scam people. Very I professional. Do not use them. She threatened I won’t get my items on my requested moving date and told me I won’t speak to a manager because she is the voice and I won’t get through. I am contacting my attorney because they deserved to be sued.

Move size: 3 Bedroom Home Service cost: $8000

We were robbed by this company. When our items were delivered, all of the most conspicuously valuable items (e.g. bike, tv, etc..) were mysteriously missing. AlwaysMoving said they would look into it and advised me to a file a claim, but refuse to respond to my inquiries. That was almost a year ago now.

Hire a real moving company. Always Moving are criminals and make their money by stealing from customers and ignoring them. If you had a similar experience, please reach out to me.
