Long-distance move from San Diego, CA to Augusta, GA

Bait and switch

Run away from this company. Run fast and don’t look back. I was moving from San Diego to Georgia last summer, and the big established companies were quoting me $8000. Then I spoke to Brandon at All Pro Moving, who gave me a fantastic quote at $4600. I took the bait, and then the nightmare began.

Two days prior to the move “quality control” called and after asking me a few questions, chastised me for “not mentioning all my furniture” despite the fact that I had answered all the questions the “professional” Brandon had asked. The end result was the price got jacked up to $7500, but it was too late to back out, and I’m certain that was part of the plan all along.

Then I had to reschedule because All Pro didn’t get the proper paperwork to my association, (which required me to delay the start of my new job at a cost of $5000 to me) and almost had to reschedule again, which also required me do delay the start of my job because they STILL didn’t get the paperwork filed until I was BEGGING them on the phone three times a day to file the paperwork.

THEN the movers got there. I told them the association was only giving me 4-5 hours, and I needed at least five guys. They sent two, and they were three hours late. The movers saw how much furniture I had and said there was no way I was only getting charged $7500. The price rose to almost $11,000, and they took ten hours to do the move, with me helping!

They caused over $2700 in damage to the condominium, and when I asked to be compensated, they told me I’d need to arrange for five quotes, knowing full well that by then I’m on the other side of the country and had a condo association so angry with me that there was no way they were going to cooperate, so... lost money for me.

But I was out...

Then came the day my house in Georgia closed, and the next day was when I THOUGHT I had arranged for delivery. I called them two days before and asked what time to expect them. I was told that my furniture was in a warehouse in Las Vegas, and that they would INITIATE the paperwork to get it on it’s way, but to not expect it for at least three weeks!

Angry, I asked them why they hadn’t started the paperwork three weeks earlier, and I was informed that my contract states that they have 30 working days from the earliest date of delivery to get me my furniture. My wife and I paid for a B&B for two weeks, and then started sleeping on air mattresses.

The three weeks came and went, as did the 30 day mark from earliest delivery. 65 days after they picked up my furniture, it was delivered.

Much of the furniture was damaged and had clearly NOT been in a controlled climate, as they claimed, since some of the wooden bedroom furniture had split due to the wood being so dry. There were broken glasses and clearly some boxes had been turned upside down; and I’m missing some items, despite the fact that the number of boxes I received matches the number of boxes they claimed they picked up.

My final estimate for how much it cost me to move sits at over $20,000, due to the price raises, the lost wages, the association penalties and fees, and the damaged furniture, well over $15,000 above the original quote.

I found out during the move that All Pro does not do the moving. They are a broker. They do not have your case assigned to any one person. They have clearly been sued enough that their contract is specifically written to discourage you from suing.

It worked against me; my lawyer told me that I could sue, and had a good chance of winning, but I’d probably have to take a lot of time off from work, and their lawyers would offer me a settlement that might just cover the cost of suing.

My advice? Go with Mayflower or American, or one of the other big outfits. It might look like you’ll pay more at the beginning, but in the end you’ll save yourself a lot of money and aggravation.

DO NOT use All Pro Movers. I have moved eight times in my life, and this outfit caused me more pain than all the others combined.

Excellent to hear Jack! Always a good move when its stress free that's for sure. This is what we strive for when it comes to long distance moving, taking the stress away from having to do it yourself. Its not easy loading a truck then driving hundreds of miles to another state, getting blown all over the road, trying to switch lanes, etc.

Long-distance move from Pierceville, KS to Jacksonville, FL

This moving company will ROB YOU

This moving company will ROB you of your money with no remorse. We still haven't gotten any services from them, but yet they still have about $1300 from us. This is our ongoing story:

My family and I moved from Pierceville, Kansas to Jacksonville, Florida about two weeks ago. We were told by All Pro Moving that we would have a carrier coming to get our things on either May 25th or 26th. When the date was approaching, we were supposed to receive a call confirming which day it would be. We never received a call. When we called them, they were still unsure of the day our things would be picked up. Once again WE called THEM and were told our things would be picked up on the 26th. After trying several times to get through to customer service on the 25th, because we hadn't received a pick up time, we had zero luck. It wasn't until the 26th that we were told by the manager Lisa that the carrier for our move had backed out and they were in search for another one.

Lisa let us know that she would keep us updated, as we requested, because we were supposed to head out that day to move into our new home and start our new jobs but she DID NOT. Each time we needed an update we were forced to call her which she would never answer. After being told by Lisa that there were a couple possible carriers for the 27th but nothing set in stone, we had a little bit of hope. That was our mistake. This continued on for days where we would try several times to contact her and mostly failed to do so. She claimed that we couldn't get through to her on the weekends, but we only called during the week.

Next, she claimed that she had told us that there was no way our things would be picked up on the 27th which is not what she had said. After saying that, she said she could "definitely have someone by the 1st" but admitted that was far out (almost a week past our original move date). Well, now it's the 7th of June and OUR THINGS ARE STILL NOT MOVED. Once she had said she could get someone by the 1st, we came up with a new plan. We would move all of the contents of our house into the garage (because another person was moving into the home) and head out to Florida on the 28th. We informed the company that the 1st would now work for us, but as previously stated, our things have not been moved.

After not being updated on when our things would be picked up and reading some other similar reviews to our situation, we decided a refund would be best. I spoke to the billing department where they told me that they could only offer 50% of the money back either with or without still moving our things. With that being said, there was still no date given for when it would be picked up if we were to choose to go through with it (and pay and additional $2,000). I told them that it is unfair that we couldn't get a full refund after all we've been through and said that I'd most likely be disputing the charge with my bank if they couldn't accommodate. That was when the man from the billing department told me "Well tread lightly with disputing that with your bank because I've never seen a customer win. All the company will do is send the contract to the bank and these contracts are in favor of the company and not the customer." He also said he'd see what else he can do and we'd receive an email with the decisions within 24 hours, which we never received. The last conversation I have had with them was today when I was told by a customer service rep (I think his name was Richard) that by giving us a refund, it would be losing the company money. But it's alright for us to lose money right?

We have been given NO NEW PICKUP DATE. This company never calls us to check in to make sure we know they are even trying to find a new carrier. NEVER USE THIS MOVING COMPANY! Go to the BBB website and you'll see even more people getting screwed by this company.

Long-distance move from Lakewood, CA to Wessington Springs, SD

Stay away. You WILL be cheated

This company lied from the very beginning. I spoke with Chris T the lair, to arranged my move. He told me he had a three man truck that was moving a family from So Cal, so Colorado. There was enough room on the truck for my stuff, and the same people that pick it up will deliver it to me. That was the ONLY reason I decided to use them.

When a bobtail with two guys showed up, I asked about the three man crew, and they tell me they didn't know anything about that, they're just here to take my stuff to a local warehouse. I immediately called Chris T the lair, and got his voice mail.

Once the truck was loaded, the driver says, you're taking up more cubic feet than what was on the quote, and increased the price by $1500.00. Again I called Chris T the lair, and got his voice mail. I left him 6 voice mails over the coarse of three hours, and never got a return call.

I never told them how many cubic feet I needed. I gave Christ T the lair, a list of furniture, and he figured out how many cubic feet it would take. My list didn't change, but the cubic feet did. So Chris T is not only a lair, he also lacks the basic math skills needed for this job.

The rate I was quoted was a bound rate. That means it wasn't suppose to change. They even charged me $1500 for the bound quote.

When I called their customer service number to discuss Chris T's lie, they weren't surprised. They acknowledged he lied, and said there's nothing they can do about it now.

I've contacted them 8 times since they picked up my furniture. Nobody can tell me where my furniture is, or when it will be delivered. Each time I call, I get the same excuse. "we'll find out and call you back". I have yet to get a call back. The employees at this company all lie, and seem quite comfortable with it. That's tell you it starts at the top.

Two weeks ago they said my furniture would be deliver the following week. It wasn't, and I didn't get a single phone call telling it wasn't going to be delivered. As of today, they don't even know where my furniture is.

When you challenge them on their broken promises, they accuse you of being rude and hang up on you. I have never in my life heard someone say the truth is rude.

I suspect I'm going to have to hire an attorney to get my stuff and get a refund on the overcharge.

This company is running a scam. They intentionally under bid, knowing once they have your furniture loaded, there's nothing you can do.

If you are dealing with the same lairs I am, you can file a complaint here,

https://www.fmcsa.dot.gov/protect-your-move

I filed a complaint, but I'm not sure it will do any good.

Classic bait & switch scammers!

Classic bait & switch scammers! Required I make a $1500 deposit via electronic check. I should of seen the red flags when they don’t process credit cards, but the sales man was sly and said all the right things to suck me in such as, “wow, I’m surprised I found a truck available. We better secure it right away before it’s no longer available.” I feel like a sap. He and I went through an inventory of what we were moving and he said, “a 20’ truck via uhaul will be too small for you, you’re going to need a 26’ truck. But then he told me the cubic

Good thanks feet of my inventory is 700, so on paperwork it was written up for 700 & I was quoted $4600. However, the day before the truck was to arrive, a “quality” guy called me. We went through the same inventory via a video call & he says that I need around 1200 sq feet so my quote jumped to $9000!! When I declined, they refused to credit me my $1500 deposit. I’ve spoken to 4 different levels of representatives to get my deposit back. The last representative said, “you’re not getting a dime out of us.” I tried to dispute the electronic check via my bank; waiting to see if this company fights the dispute or not. After all this, I did some more learning and found out a 20’ truck holds about 1000 cubic feet. So, since the sales man said I needed more than a 20’ truck, he was aware that 700 was lowballing to get me to take the bait. They know exactly what they’re doing!

“Rogue” movers; crooks

The FMCSA ( Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration ) regulates interstate movers and calls companies like this “Rogue” movers. They give an estimate and then hold your goods hostage so that you have no choice but to pay or they won’t give your stuff back. I have direct text messages where I asked that exact question if they were going to hold our goods hostage.

OUR MOVING NIGHTMARE

Around(blank)Ireached out to All-Pro movers and spoke with Rachel. My wife spent over an hour going through the entire house trying her best to explain everything in the house in detail. My wife was surprised that there was not a walkthrough or a video call.() repeatedly asked if Rachel needed dimensions for certain items, to which Rachel replied, “No honey, I’m good. We got you”. Needless to say, come to find out the estimate was underbid by over 10,000$. We stated that the military would only pay 15,000$ and that we didn’t want to go over that much. We would not have utilized this company if they would have given us a real estimate.

We were promised that they would show up on 27 or the 28th at the latest. The movers showed up on the 29th. They promised us that we would be done by 31. We did not want to have to pay additional rent on the place that we were renting and after we moved we still had to have the house professionally cleaned. When the first truck left on Monday, more than half the house was still in boxes and almost the whole bottom floor had not been packed yet. We were told two things, that the mover would pick up another truck the next day and that he would directly drop off the first truck in Fl, considering my wife had already left due to her report date in Fl. Neither of these happened; the second truck did not show and the first truck went to Fl and the goods were put in storage.

At this point is where all the shifting by both companies started. We were never told that we would be charged an additional 4000$ to All-Pro for their broker fees. All-Pro gave the contract to I-mover ( which I believe is out of FL ). I-mover is the company that would not release our goods unless we paid, and we had never agreed to the amount of money. At this point, we had not even heard a new estimate, At all! So you can imagine the surprise when we heard a new estimate of over 24,000$. When the second set of movers showed up late Tuesday evening September 1st, we were already into having to pay a prorated rate for rent, which was 4,200$ a month. To save time I will just say the first set of movers broke things, which were not reimbursed ( which we have already moved on ) and they spent a lot of time talking. So we paid for three out of four workers to hang out for two days and get paid. It took three workers an entire day to finish my daughter’s room, which did not have much at all, and a craft room where most of the goods were already in boxes and just needed shrink wrap. I also still have yet to find my daughter’s ipen which I had in my personal bags and two months later I still can’t find, so I believe it was stolen since I did leave my personal stuff out of my view for hours at a time. The second set of movers would not even start until we paid them 4000$, and we had already paid close to 10000$, 8000$ of which was in a money order. Half of our house was not packed and the other half was in boxes and this is when I-movers started to hold our goods hostage. I had explained we had never agreed to over 20000$ for our move. I was berated by one of the movers that it was my fault and that I made a mistake and underestimated. When I say berated, I am saying this mover aggressively confronted me yelling at me that it was my fault. Beyond unprofessional is an understatement. The second set of movers, after we were ripped off, went about their job and had to rent another two trucks. They ended up not finishing until 3rd and left about four large boxes worth of stuff which they had to pick up the next day. The trucks went to Fl and again went into storage. My wife had been in Fl and had already stated she was ready for the trucks to move the goods in.

We had to pay the third truck another 4000$ and we had asked every single day that we needed weight tickets, which they still haven’t provided. They gave us a basic ticket, not one from the truck. When I saw the mover in Fl, he again was yelling at me in front of the local workers that he had hired

FMCSA

( Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration ) to warn others of the practices of this company. I only wish we had more time to thoroughly look for a moving company that wasn’t as shady.

Beware of this company

I wish we had searched online for reviews of this company before we hired them. At the initial stages, they were very nice and easy to reach. I paid the deposit which was 1/3 of the moving cost. On the day of the move, the actual movers showed up and asked for an extra $3500. I contacted All Pro but I could not reach the initial contact(he was no longer taking my calls), after more than 48 hours and multiple calls, they finally said they would not refund my deposit. Now, they are no longer taking my calls. Beware of this company, they are very good at deceiving people with low estimates just so that they can lock you into a contract and take a hefty deposit. We learnt the hard way!

Liars, unprofessional and scammers!

They're LIARS and scammers! DO NOT HIRE them, or any of their "affiliates". Beware, they are a broker, not actual movers. I was desperate and rushed and did not know the difference. They promised me a pickup date, then cancelled it 2 days before the scheduled date. Then they offered me a pickup 2 days later with an even later delivery window. I found an actual mover who could do my dates and I cancelled within their 72 hr window, but they REFUSED to honor their refund policy! They won't respond to calls or emails, neither the corporate office nor the scammer salesperson. They should be out of business for being so unethical. Don't risk it!

Beware

We hired All Pro for a move from CO to TX. They were incredibly nice at first. We went room to room on the phone telling him what was going. Unfortunately, things changed quickly after paying the deposit. I was then told I had to log on to Zillow to go over our pictures with a specialist to get a more accurate price, it more than doubled. We were told it was a miscalculation on the original quote. They refused to ever come to the house to do an estimate. They had 7 guys to unload a semi, arrived at 1 PM and finished at 11:45 PM. We carried about as many boxes as the hired ones. Nearly all the boxes were upside down making it very difficult to tell where they went as they were all labeled. Movers dropped many pieces on delivery breaking grill, treadmill, and other items. They did not put everything back together as paid for. Now we are missing hardware and have a lot of work to do.

Beware of this company! They are actually a brokerage firm and do not hire quality movers.

Bait and Switch. Dishonest practices

**read below for exposure of their dishonest scam**

We made a huge mistake going with All Pro Moving Group. Turns out they are what's called a moving broker. They don't do any of the real work they just take your money and arrange for others to do the heavy lifting. They quoted us $4,000 to move our three bedroom home and transport our vehicle and they even assisted in helping us to severely under quote the amount of stuff we had to move. Then a week before the move they were suddenly able to accurately quote the amount of stuff and our quote increased by 100%. Too late to back out. After loading all our stuff and leaving we realize that there was going to be no car transport. No one from All Pro would respond, reply, or call back so I quickly realize I had been left to hang high and dry and was on my own now. We had some stuff broken in the move, no big deal, but the claims go through a third party and they take their time. They don't even clean up their own mess. Last I checked the que for that claim business was in the hundreds. I don't even have hope that I will hear about that claim again.

Payment was another nightmare, we paid down deposits by credit (3 of them as the price went up) then had to pay the moving people by money order made out to a different name, then travelers check to the movers who dropped off the stuff. It was just weird and a huge stressful hassle.

Now check this out- their Google rating isn't too bad, but how many of the users giving 5 star ratings have only left that one review on Google? I bet you these are fake accounts made to artificially raise the rating for a better appearance. No way that a company that takes advantage of a family during a time of high stress by doubling their original quoted price has that many five star reviews.

I called other moving companies and got quotes from them now that I knew our cubic footage exactly and they all quoted around $6,000. All Pro promised $4,000 which no one could have delivered on and then charged over $8,000 which is ridiculously high. Avoid this scam trap at all costs!!!

They will not contact me , I moved from Ohio to Florida they came and picked up my belongings on aug 25. 2021, they came in a box truck that was the first sign this was a scam , then told my husband we owed them more money which I foolishly paid , that was the second sign this was a scam , I have been trying to get my stuff delivered and here we are October 7 2021 and no one will contact me , so I filed a claim that the all pro (who I hired , ) gave me turns out all pro gave my contract to some random other company and guess what ?? Neither company is recognized in the claims company data base !! so now I’m assuming my stuff is stolen and I paid them to steal it from me !! So when that manipulative guy calls you from all pro and does his con act and says good deal over and over and you agree .. please remember that there are horrible scam artists walking this earth and it’s not a good deal

Move size: 1 Bedroom Home Service cost: $4000

DONT TRUST THEM

I echo the same experience as many. I was treated great and quoted and promised the moon.

When the time came for pick up, keep in mind I booked months in advance, they tripled my quote. Customer service and the great treatment when booking originally turned into bullying and harassment. I was cornered. I HAD no other choice to move forward.

The "moving company' picked up; it was not a company, it was some guy in a white enterprise truck who quadrupled my quote; again I HAD to move. The men who picked up my items reported they were hired of off a craigslist add!

They dissaperared my items; telling me I had to pay more or they would take up to 30 days to deliver. I ended up paying an expedited fee to get my items on a timely manner.

My items were destroyed, boxes literally upside down, and broken item that I lost count. Supposedly they are insured; when I attempted to do this claim, they reported they do not do claim. That I had to go through the driver (the Craigslist people!).

I called and attempted to this with no success. It has been months and I have no resolution.

This company breached the contract by not setting back up broken down furniture, not having an insurance to claim damaged or lost items, and hiring people from craigslist.

I cannot believe they are still up and running after so many negative reviews and damage to society.

The owner and employees should be ashamed for running this scam; they are playing with peoples lives and finances.
