Long-distance move from Colorado Springs, CO to Macomb, IL

They subcontracted my move with a below par moving company.

Opera moving representing themselves as a moving company and then unbeknownst to me I found out that they subcontract. The company that they hired to move my belongings was royale star movers. For two months I have tried to get resolution regarding my damaged property and missing property. April was doing her do diligence and then all of a sudden stop responding to my emails requesting further information. Per my contract the movers were to disassemble and reassemble my furniture, which was not done. They demanded payment before they even brought my furniture to my new location and every item that they brought into my home was damaged beyond repair. I still do not have answers as to where my missing items are or how this issue is going to be resolved. If all pro movers would’ve hired a reliable company who respected my belongings I would not be having this issue. All pro movers is putting the responsibility of my damage and missing items and the lack of having my furniture reassembled and the responsibility of the movers, but all pro movers is the one that contracted this company so they are 50% responsible. In the beginning all pro movers were acting as my advocate against Royal star movers But now they are ignoring emails and phone calls. I am extremely frustrated with all pro movers and Royal-star movers, no one is taking responsibility for the issues that have occurred. Before I left my location in Colorado I had purchased brand new furniture to stage my home for sale everything was in pristine condition, when it arrived at my home at my new location everything and I mean everything was damaged, broken, missing and stained. Our pro mover should take some responsibility if not all responsibility for hiring a company That had total disregard for my belongings. Royal star movers has not responded to my phone calls or emails regarding these damages and the fact that my furniture was not reassembled when it arrived at my new location. My question is where is the customer service?? I do not understand how furniture can leave one location and end up at my new location damaged and missing. How do you lose a queen size bed and a 65 inch TV. My answer is royal star movers stole my merchandise and all pro movers is responsible for hiring this company. All pro movers represented them self as a moving company if I would’ve known that they were going to contract my move out to another company I would’ve chose another path and not had to endure everything that I’ve had to do for the past two months. It should not be the customer‘s responsibility to try to track down someone, anyone and get answers and a resolution to these issues. All pro movers should be on the side of their customers but it seems to me that they’re trying to protect themselves Instead of standing by their customers. I am thoroughly disappointed in both companies and will be seeking further action to get all these issues resolved.

Long-distance move from Endicott, NY to Columbus, OH

Bait & Switch Pricing & Lots of Lies.

I used this company for 2 recent moves. They assured me that they are NOT moving brokers and do all moves by their own employees who are Covid-19 tested everyday day. Well, they ARE moving brokers and thus, NO Covid-19 tests are being done. The movers who came to relocate my daughter from NC to NY were actually wonderful. Not Covid-19 tested nor wearing masks (as promised) but, efficient & professional. So, 2 months later I again contacted All Pro to move my daughter from NY to OH (the second half of her relocation) because, even though I was lied to, the first move did work out well. Even though my daughter was moving less than half of her belongings to Ohio, I figured that All Pro’s price was high because this part of the move was booked within 2 weeks. On the day of the move, another company (NOT All Pro & not the original movers) showed up. Once they had half of her belongings on the truck they demanded an additional $800. They said All Pro’s price was unrealistically low. They showed me the DOT forms & how they determined the pricing. I found that odd since All Pro coordinated the first part of the move and knew exactly how big/how much everything weighed. At that point I immediately called All Pro. They did not answer my calls nor my texts. Since my daughter’s items were already on the moving truck and she needed her stuff to get to Ohio, I had no choice but to pay. Since then, I have not been able to get in touch with anyone at All Pro.

This company is extremely unprofessional and I would highly recommend NOT using them for any moves; local nor long distance. I really don’t like being taken advantage of so, I’ve contacted my attorney to plan my next steps.

I hope this review saves at least 1 person from having the same terrible experience that I had.

Official company response

Hey Karen,
we appreciate you giving us the opportunity to assist with a 2nd move for you guys. As we mention if we cannot service the job one of our trusted network carriers would handle to driving and loading/unloading. The only time ex money would be required is if the load is larger then what was told to us and listed on the final contract. Additional space cost money. If this were a local move we can squeeze extra items in but when it comes to long distance, everything has to be accounted for when crossing state lines. A lot of these routes are shared loads so when surprise items come into play this could potentially be dipping into someone else's space. In this case we have to make logistical adjustments and that brings time and money also.
Best wishes,
-All Pro Management.

No Stars for Discrimination

Unfortunately I can’t give zero stars here. During my initial conversation with All Pro. I was asked if I was gay. And after that I was given the worst service you could imagine. No one called me to give me a pick up window. I was also given the wrong information several times. None of this should matter since asking if I’m gay is clearly not a best business practice. Especially when they are trying to hook you up with their only gay friend. If someone at my company asked that question they would be fired. My delivery was late and my pick up day was communicated incorrectly to me. They loaded my things up before payment and did not unload until I paid in full. This isn’t that unusual I suppose but my quote had gone up to TRIPLE what I was originally quoted. Again, I understand that a quote can change but 3 times as much seems excessive. I spent hours on the phone calling them and was finally told they could give me $175 for my inconvenience. When I said that I felt that wasn’t sufficient they said they couldn’t help me and they had done nothing wrong. Then sent me on a wild goose chase with the van line that they brokered a deal with. They also said they couldn’t do anything. All Pro Moving is a bait and switch company and a discriminatory company.

Excellent!!

The young men from this company were professional, kind, quick and courteous. They provided tape, blankets, etc. and they were very careful with my belongings and furniture. These young men were careful, fast, and thoughtful and went over and beyond exceeding my expectations. The prices are excellent, and the move cost less than I anticipated. I will definitely hire them in the future. The 4-star reviews are here for a reason. If you want a fast, easy move with the best rates, this the company to turn to.

Good Job!!

All of my experiences with All Pro Moving Group were excellent: making arrangements for delivery, pickup, storage and delivery to the final destination. Everything was well timed. The workers were courteous and did their job very well! Delivery went well, and there was no major shifting of items in the POD. I love working with them and I will highly recommend them to all!

Avoid at all cost

Picked up my household goods on 9/21/20 (5 days late). It's now 12/16/20 and I still don't have my stuff. They refuse to provide us with a delivery date or any information as to when our things will be delivered. I'm not even sure where my stuff is. Have called them over a dozen times. They always promise to look into it and call us back, but never do. Not once. This has been THE worst possible experience.

Move size: 2 Bedroom Home Service cost: $17000

Official company response

Hey Laura,
We're sorry to hear your having a poor experience, this is never our intention when assisting with a move. Currently Alaskan moves are very challenging with the virus. If the origin is to the east, the load would be picked up and brought to our Las Vegas hub. From there it would go up through Canada and then out to Anchorage and finally to the destination in AK. Due to the virus, when entering Canada there are strict Quarantine restrictions where they have to stop for Quarantine for up to 2 weeks at the boarder. This unfortunately has caused delays in the AK delivery spreads. We have to follow state and boarder regulations. We will continue to do our best as to getting your load dropped off asap. As soon as we have a new update we will reach out to you from the customer service department.
Thank you,
-All Pro Team

Good Job!!

Everybody involved was so polite and very detail oriented. They have a quality assurance department that verifies every list and detail so nobody ever feels rushed into booking a move. When the movers showed up it was the same treatment. Took time breaking down furniture and wrapping items. The list we made over the phone matched up 100% in the move day. No extra charges or any hidden fees and fast delivery. I have already recommended these guys to my family and friends! 5 stars!

Hey Martha!
So happy to hear all went as planned and the communication was up to par. They have really been working in over drive in the customer service department this year due to the extreme increase in moves. This has been a unique year to say the least. We are happy you were apart of some of our success and we were able to deliver for you as requested.

Long-distance move from Denver, CO to Johnson, VT

Breach of Contract, No resolution, Terrible Experience

We had a binding agreement with All Pro Moving company (broker) to cover our move. That cost was $10,693.80 for 1,500 cubic feet. All Pro had seen photos of the furniture items we were taking to generate that estimate. Originally, we paid All Pro $5,050 in broker fees(high) and were supposed to pay $5500 to the mover ($2750 up front and again upon delivery). When the movers showed up (Green Planet), they told us they wouldn't move our things, unless we paid them double ($5,500 upon pickup AND $5500 upon delivery based on THEIR estimated 3,000 cubic feet). We called All Pro because we had a binding agreement with them, the broker, that said our items list was 1,500 cubic feet and they refused to do anything. They said their deposit was non-refundable so we'd lose the already paid $5050 in broker fees, and we couldn't turn the movers away or we wouldn't be able to move out of our house in time. There were really no options for us. We filed a claim with All Pro on December 3 addressing the issue. We decided to deal with the problem on the backend.

Since that time, there has been no resolve. It is now January 4. We've had at least 6 calls, written 2 formal emails and while we have had some "concerned" conversation with the All Pro Moving team in which they seem to recognize their culpability, no one has called us back with any resolution.

All Pro Movers broke their cubic feet binding agreement, leaving the consumer with no options and no resolve. If you know the law about binding agreements, you know this is illegal and a federal offense, since we crossed state lines (view 49 usc section 14104(b)(1)(c) - cubic foot agreements must be binding). We've since learned this has happened a lot in the past decade and believe in addition to our case, there are hundreds of others with similar complaints highlighting their fraudulent practices. In addition to filing a complaint with the FMCSA and the OIG and pursuing litigation, we are also looking to contact as many as possible for a class action lawsuit. This is illegal, deceptive and unacceptable.

In response to All Pro’s comment:
I’d like to make it clear that All Pro has responded to my complaint two different times in 2 different ways. In this response, they are blatantly lying saying we waived our right to an in-person inspection. All Pro never offered us an in-person inspection. It was always remote, using photos. They are based in Florida and our move originated in Denver. We signed no waiver and were never asked for an in-person inspection. It is not in any paperwork, whatsoever. They don’t even mention this on the BBB response they sent. There’s a reason the FMCSA is investigating this company right now.

Additionally, there were no added items and no items contributed to any increase in cost. We had a binding contract for 1500 cubic feet). The mover came into our house, walked around, said they wouldn’t move our things, unless we paid them double (charging us for almost 3000 cubic feet). I showed them our binding agreement and list of items. I told them we are not moving any more than these specific things listed. They did nothing and All Pro did absolutely nothing, other than what was mentioned above in my first review. Again, their claim that the price was higher based on item increase is yet another falsehood. This is even further demonstrated by the fact that a 1600 cubic foot box truck arrived with all our things and room to spare. There is no arguing the fault of All Pro in all this. There was a very clear breach of contract and furthermore, they hired a contractor who committed fraud under their purview.

It is horrific this happened to us and we are seeking justice, but I hope that this review can contribute to this not happening to you. Do not be subject to collusion, being overcharged (for us, over $6k) through fraud and breach of contract. All Pro does not have your back. Find a local moving company who does not use a broker. Please.

Move size: 3 Bedroom Home Service cost: $17693

Official company response

Hello, We are very sorry to see you had a poor experience with Green Planet being that we had to sub this particular job to them. We have reviewed the file and it appears there was an increase made with us prior to pick up during the Quality Assurance call. The carrier claims there were also additional items on site that were not listed on the contract. Our estimates are binding as to the rate per cubic foot and the inventory listed on that contract. If the inventory deviates from what is listed on the contract, (customer breach) a revision would need to be made. When a customer signs the contract they agree that they have provided an accurate inventory as to the items being moved. They also waived the right to an in-home estimate and agreed to providing All Pro with an accurate estimate of the items being moved. Our contract states we are not held liable for misrepresented inventory on the customers behalf. However, if the customer has more items then originally discussed and would like to move at the contracted size, they have the opportunity to do so. Now, If they choose to move with the new additions added then the carrier would adjust to a new contract on-site. After further investigation we learned there was a discrepancy with the drop off truck. We have reached out to green Planet on your behalf as to compensation for the mentioned issues. We are also in the process of sending you a compensation offer from All Pro being that we are responsible for sending out this particular carrier. This compensation offer will be in your email within the next few days. We always do our absolute best to find common ground and take responsibility when necessary. The compensation is based on any mitigating circumstances of the move and a % of the money invested with All Pro, not the total cost of the move ( money we never see) We do hope the comp from our end helps and we will continue to do what we can in assisting with Green Planet.
Thank you,
-All Pro Management

Salesman are Bullies and ask to pay by Zelle

Michael from All Pro moving has been hounding me with phone calls since I consulted with him by phone about possibly using their company. Today I told him to stop calling because I wasn't going to use their company and his response was "I'll call you tomorrow". Who DOES that? The reason I decided not to use them was because he tried to get me to pay them (a deposit) using Zelle with the excuse that they charge a 20% "fee" for using a credit card since they've had so many people use fraudulent cards. Yea, right. No trustworthy business would ask to be paid by Zelle. Also, he super-pressured me to sign up then and there on the phone. When I got on the phone with my bank who told me not to use Zelle, Michael suddenly turned RUDE and said I'm going to cancel your reservation then. Then he had the nerve to text me a message that was deriding me for leaving him hanging, which I was not. That is abusive and bullying tactic. Then I read their reviews and thank goodness I did not sign up with them because they seem SUPER SKETCH! Note to Michael....knock it off taking advantage of folks during what is a very stressful time...moving. Shame on you! Your mother would be so super disappointed to hear some of the things you say to people or things you do.

Move size: 1 Bedroom Home Service cost: $90

Official company response

Hello Jane,
We are sorry you took offense to the conversation with one of our sales representatives. You are right, now is a very stressful time for our country and moving doesn't make it any easier. With the large increase in demand there are only so many trucks. Please don't confuse urgency for pressure sales tactics. The representative was simply playing around as to saying he'll call you tomorrow. We are far to busy to bother people in this current market. We know how stressful it is and try to shed light and personality on the situation, maybe joke a bit to relieve stress. Routes are not lasting right now, especially on a route similar to the one you were looking to reserve. The pricing for Uhaul and Penske trucks has sky rocketed and has influenced a strong demand on Long distance moving companies like ourselves. As to the Zelle payments, this was mentioned as an option to pay the "driver at pickup" and avoid large surcharges by using a credit card processor fob on site. All pickup and drop off payments are typically paid cash or certified funds. These do carry large fee's. Our deposit's are only accepted by Visa, Master, or Discover. Again, we do apologize for any offenses we may have caused and do hope you were able to make arrangements for your moving needs.
Kind regards,
-All Pro Moving Group
