We recently used 495 movers for our move from Rockville  MD to Teneck New Jersy. Jacob, the General Manager who helped us with our moving reservation, was very courtious and professional and gave us the confidance to choose 495 movers over a few other reputable moving companies in our area. The team arrived at our doorfront on time with all the neccessary matiriales as promissed, they covered our furnitures and protected our fragile items in the most respectfull manner. Even though the trip out there was not easy, as we have discided to move on a Friday when trafic was heavy, they managed to finish their work as esstimated. I was so stressed about the move and I was so happy to find this company. The costumer service guided me through the process and reassured me that they include everything in the price. After reading so many horror stories about the moving industry, that was a huge relief. Then on the day of the move, they came on time and they were great. The men were super quick and handled my things with great respect. Before I even knew it the move was done. They even bit the estimate by half an hour. I truly recommend to use their services if you need to move. They sure made my move look easy and the experiences was far less stressful than what you imagine.

I found 495Movers on another review site and am very glad that I used them.  I moved across several states in the northeast and they were punctual, very professional and overall great to work with.  They made sure that my furniture was wrapped & padded appropriately and taped boxes if they weren't packed to their safety standards by me.  I had no problems in the setup process, in the move when they picked up my stuff at 9am or when they delivered it at 3pm.  Tom was very reachable by phone and email and helped answer any of my questions very promptly.  I'm really glad that I used 495Movers!

495 movers came through in a pinch! We were headed to Pensacola with the military and our move had been pushed back by another company due to inclement weather. 495 movers came out to do a home assessment the day I called. 5 days later we promptly moved. The workers were on time and clean-cut. Both were incredibly efficient and respectful. Our goods arrived sooner than the stated time in excellent condition. After the move we necessitated further documentation for military reimbursement. 495 moving staff, Jacob, was quite prompt in getting us the information we required. We will definitely look to them for future moving needs.

Our 495 Movers Team of Alex, Byron and Roberto arrived at our home on Tuesday morning at 9:00 a.m. and had our 1-bedroom apartment loaded before 12:00 noon. Took apart all the furniture, padded and taped each and every part (they must have used 20 rolls of packing tape!).  Alex, our foreman, clearly explained the paperwork and the process before they went into action; he repeated the process thoroughly after we were loaded.
Byron and Roberto arrived about two hours earlier than expected on Thursday morning; they left Northern Virginia headed for our new home in Charleston, WV at 3:30 a.m.  (Good for us, but I'm sure tough for them!).  We saw the exact same speed, professionalism and attention to detail as they unpacked and reassembled our possessions.

I would like to express about my recent move with 495 movers. They have recently moved me and it has been a wonderful experience. They are very professional and know how to treat their customers with great respect. They were really committed to there word and services. I chose 495 Movers because of the very positve reviews on Yelp.  I, too, was extremely satisfied with the service I received from 495 Movers.  The team was prompt, courteous, professional, and extremely capable and efficient.  The arrived on time and completed the job within the estimated timeframe.  Final cost remained true to estimate.  I have moved many times, and I have to say 495 Movers was by far the best experience I've ever had.  I highly recommend this company.

I have never found moving to be anything but a stressful event. 495 Movers helped make my third (and hopefully last) move in 2014 stress free for me from the beginning to the end. I requested a quote and received one at home the very same day. Later that evening they delivered free packing supplies to my apartment and said not to worry about how far I got with the packing because they would finish up whatever was left the day of the move. The day of the move the moving team showed up early, ready to go and knew exactly what to do. Each of them were friendly and diligent/efficient workers. Even though I didn’t pack up all my belongings previously they were able to move me faster than the amount of time estimated in my quote. I hope I don’t have to move again any time soon but when I do I will use 495 Movers again.

I used this company for my move based on reviews on the internet. The three guys who came to help with my move exceeded my expectations. First of all my move was estimated to take 5 hours and that was exactly how long it took and this included a 1 hr 15 minute drive. The team came 15 minutes early and were on the job immediately. They moved quickly, smoothly and quietly. The guy in charge was very organized. They packed everything safely and neatly. They were very good at packing my ridiculously heavy couch. They came with all packing materials at no extra cost and boy did they use it. You don't need to pack your fragile items such as tv's, mirrors, etc. They will do that for you very quickly. They came with numerous boxes etc. When we reached the house they had no issues going up the stairs to put stuff, etc. They showed no signs of hesitation to do anything. Very focused on their job. I really had such a great experience that I would definitely use them for my next move. I would be surprised to find any negative reviews. These guys are truly professional movers.

I used 495 Movers, Inc. for moving my elderly mother and I from two different counties and 495 Movers, Inc. Home Services for carpet shampoo from 03/10-12/2014. They were very kind, very gentle, very respectful and very professional in their work, I.e. Mario, staff (packers and movers-I did not get their names), Alex and Tom (the owner visited the sites). Their knowledge, skills and abilities were exhibited when packing and moving which was done with precision. They did not waste time, they asked questions when they loaded and unloaded the boxes, sat everything up as requested and made excellent suggestions as well on the location of furniture. The owner Tom came to the site and reviewed the work of his employees and asked if everything was okay with the customer. Also, I used 495 Movers, Inc. Home Services, which was done by Alex to shampoo the carpet and it was outstanding. The carpet was beautifully done. Tom (the owner) came out to review and inspected the work. I was truly impressed as well as the management company where I formerly lived. I will use them again and will recommend them again. They do not overly charge. I have used companies through the years and 495 Movers, Inc. continues to be the best and fair in their moving prices, services, resources and customer service. They touched my elderly mother's heart and my heart as well. THEY ARE THE BEST!! .

On March 20, 2014, I had an appointment with 495 Movers to move my furniture and materials from my apartment to a storage location approximately 7 miles down the street. The movers arrived on time, and worked hastily non-stop moving my furniture. Amazingly, the movers not only moved my furniture, but they wrapped every piece of furniture in plastic, some pieces in extra plastic, to ensure safety and protection of the items during the move and while in storage. The transit to the storage facility was smooth as the movers drove cautiously to make sure that nothing was damaged. The movers moved the furniture into the storage facility quickly and placed every item within the storage unit precisely to minimize space that was used. The movers also taped the items together to ensure that they would not move and stay together. Lastly the movers also made sure every item was placed on cardboard so that they would not touch the ground. Ultimately only 3/4 of the storage unit was used. Although I am paying for the extra space, I am glad the movers left the space for other things if need be. The total move, transit, and placement into storage took 2 hours under their estimated time. I was plesantly surprised with the process and would recommend their services in a heartbeat. Ask for Alex Markosovich of 495 Movers.

This was the singular "BEST MOVING EXPERIENCE" we have ever had, and have moved several times over the years. In the past we relied on the major national moving companies and have nothing but horror stories to tell on those moves. 495 Movers are amazingly "TRUSTWORTHY", "CONSIDERATE" of your time, your experience, and your belongings and the "HARDEST WORKING TEAM" I have ever witnessed.  This is the moving team that actually reduces the stress in your move, instead of adding stress. They have a genuine commitment to customer service and we would recommend them highly as well as use them ourselves the next time we move.

495 has been an excellent moving company. They helped move my wife from one condo to another ( I am currently out of state). I called with very short notice and Jacob was able to make this move happen. He was upfront and answered all of my questions. The movers showed up on time and they were very nice to my wife and did a great job!! They did not mess around and try to milk the clock. They were fast and effecient. My wife was very pleased!! A happy wife makes for a happy home =).

Moving interstate is so stressful and finding the right movers can alleviate a lot of that stress and John at 495Movers did just that!  From the moment our phone conversation began I knew I was in excellent hands!  I was coordinating the move by phone from my home in Florida for my son who was moving from dc to New York.  This move had to be done all in one day!  The day of the move three men showed up and took right over wrapping all his furniture as they went about removing all of his belongings!  They left at 11am to start their drive to New York City and 4 1/2 hours later they met us at the New York apartment! We literally had just arrived after taking a plane from dc to meet them!  The move in went just as smoothly as before and unfortunately for the movers they had to bring it all in to a two story walk up in 90 degree weather! These three men were amazing! Not a single thing was damaged all of his breakables were in perfect condition!  I cannot say enough about this company from my first call with John to our experience with Jose and his men on the day of the move!  I would highly recommend this company to anyone!  I could not wait to call John at 495Movers and express my gratitude as soon as the movers walked out the door!  As stressful as the day was for us trying to get from dc to NY City to meet the movers we knew the furniture was in good hands! I found 495 Movers by reading reviews on several different mover review sites. 495 Movers got consistently good reviews. Their representative, Jacob Kuhn, started educating us about moving from when we first called to ask for a quote visit.
Jacob told us what we needed to do and what 495 Movers would do and everything happened exactly that way. There were no surprises; the packing and delivery crews are professional, hard working, courteous and thorough. The packing crew packed everything, and with care and ensurance that all items would be in the same condition when they arrived. Since we had no house to move to when we left Maryland Jacob gave us plenty of storage time so we would be able to find a house. Once we did, 495 Movers got our stuff to us promptly,  The delivery crew was as professional, hard working, courteous and thorough as the as the packing crew.
495 Movers uses a fixed price model which enables you to budget. Other moving companies started with lower initial quotes, but left delivery and packing costs open, so you can never be sure of how much you will end up paying.

It was an amazing experience to work with 495 Movers. Extremely professional and courteous. Having to interact with only one agent (John) for the entire move was great. The crew arrived on time, packed everything extremely well. The drop-off was right on time and in excellent condition. Prior to my move, having researched different companies I became more and more concerned about shipping my belongings, but after having found 495 movers and having read their reviews and the Better Business Bureau ranking I was more confident to have my items be delivered from coast to coast by 495 movers. Now after having actually worked with 495 movers I am so happy and thrilled to have chosen this company over any other company to handle my move. I can only thank John and his entire crew to making my move such a pleasant and relaxing experience. Thank you!!

I found 495 Movers after searching the web and reading reviews.  They had ample reviews stating how satisfied their customer's were with the service they provided.  After contacting them I got a call from their customer rep John.   We had a good conversation about what I needed done and he gave me some premliminary estimates that sounded in line with what I was expecting afterwhich he offered to do a walk through of my home with the owner.   They both came to my house at the agreed to time and did a visual survey of my belongings.   Both of them were very friendly and professional.  After the survey they changed their initail plan from sending one truck to sending two trucks.  I am so happy they did that because they used every bit of the space in both trucks.    After the estimate and I paid the deposit John followed up with me multiple times which gave me a great deal of comfor because my timing was planned out and depended on them being their.  I won't take too much more time but will leave you with that when John called me after my move to follow up I had nothing but great things to say.   Short Version: On Time, Friendly, Wearing a uniform color, Nothing Broken, No Scratches on the walls, Stayed until the job was done, helped me with any requests, Followed up and followed through, Finished well under the estimated cost!! This is the moving experience you want.. I wouldn't waste my time reviewing any company that didn't blow me away.  I am very happy!  They are a greeat choice and I will recommend them to others.    .

My moving experience was fantastic! I had called the morning of the move after a holiday to see if they were available to help move me from southern MD to northern VA (it was the only time I had available). Even though they were late getting there, it was to be expected considering the timing of traffic. The team that helped move me was wonderful! They were friendly, polite hard workers. I appreciated their expediency and we completed everything within the allotted time I had hoped to be all moved in. They were great and I will definitely be using them again since I am moving back up to MD shortly.

I used 495 Movers to relocate from Baltimore, Maryland to San Diego, California in the summer of 2013. A cross-country move like this is stressful under the best circumstances, and 495 Movers made it an even worse experience. Several boxes and a set of shelves were lost (or stolen), their contract employees that delivered my belongings were rude bullies, and the management/contacts at 495 Movers were dismissive and rude once they had my money.      
On initially contacting Jacob at 495 Movers in June of 2013, he was very helpful and understanding in helping to plan my move. They offered a comparable estimate for moving my two-bedroom apartment across country. The movers who arrived to pack and load my belongings were also very polite and competent. Basically: when 495 Movers still wants your money and your business, they will go the extra mile to make you feel safe and comfortable. This treatment will change once they have your belongings and you are under contract.      
Upon delivery of my belongings in San Diego, the subcontractors were rude and dismissive. At first they refused to unload the truck without additional cash paid directly to them, because my new apartment was set back from the street and behind another building. This situation had been made very clear by me BEFORE delivery was attempted, or even scheduled, and was within the maximum distance as noted on my contract. The subcontractors ultimately agreed, after they failed to shake me down for more cash. They remained very loud, rude and aggressive throughout the unloading process, and when I contacted Jacob at 495 Movers directly, during the delivery, he said only that he was “sorry for the inconvenience.”      
The aggressive nature of these subcontractors caused me to make a very serious mistake: I failed to account for every box on the checklist as it was being delivered. I felt bullied and intimidated by the movers, and I felt like Jacob at 495 Movers was no longer my ally in this process. After the movers left, with my apartment in disarray, I realized that two boxes of comic books were not present, and that a set of four shelves from a cabinet were also missing. The comic books valued more than $200, and the missing shelves made the cabinet unusable.      
I contacted Jacob at 495 Movers about the missing items, and he sent a terse email directing me to CSI, where I could make a claim and seek damages. My claims were denied in total, because it was my responsibility to note the missing items upon delivery.      
This is all very legal. 495 Movers has acted within the bounds of our contract. But my items are still missing -- comic books with monetary and sentimental value, and a set of shelves -- and 495 Movers will no doubt continue to treat customers with dismissive disdain once money has changed hands, and will most likely continue to employ subcontractors that care nothing for the objects being delivered, or for the customers already undergoing a stressful moving experience.      
495 Movers, their employee Jacob Kuhn, and the subcontractors who delivered most but not all of my possessions, let me down and ignored me when I sought a resolution. Potential movers: they are interested solely in your money, and not your peace of mind. Do NOT employ 495 Movers, and know that while they might treat you with respect at the beginning of your move, once they have been paid, you will no longer be a concern of theirs.      
I repeat: do not use 495 Movers for your relocation, local or cross-country. They’re dismissive and rude, at best. They will carefully pack and take your things away; what happens after that, only you are concerned with.  .
