5 star team! They used the hours moving our house productively. The cost of the move stayed the same as the estimate so no surprises. They were careful with all of our pieces especially through narrow doorways I will definitely use them again

Best decision

While shopping online for a reliable moving company, I came across 3 Brothers. I needed to move out quickly, and they made it happen! With around 20 boxes, 2 beds, and a large sofa, they handled everything with care. I highly recommend them if you're looking for great value and quality movers!

Bait and switch

They take your money and then farm out the job to a very low rate mover. Once they take your money, they do not answer their phones. We are very displeased and have filed a complaint with the Florida AG.

Trashy company. Would not recommend to anyone!!!!

Do not hire! They have no clue how to handle your items. Did a lot of damage to the items and the house. After calling him he said “yea we didn’t do it, goodbye” and blocked my phone number. The bill was way higher than what I signed on the paper. Trashy company. Would not recommend to anyone!!!!

Extortion/Fraud

Never sign up with this company. They quoted a price 3 months before my move and then 5 days from my actual move they changed the price by $3,000. They blamed a representative that they had fired. That was not my problem and they could have cared less!

Thieves

Original quote was 8,000$. At the end of the day it came to 20,000$ to move a 1500sq foot townhouse from Denver to Spokane. Downright sinful. They don't reply to messages. They totally destroyed my retirement. I have filed a complaint with Florida Attorney General office. Hopefully they will close them down!

Long-distance move from South Carolina to Minnesota

Total Nightmare…TotalB.S….Not a moving company…They are moving brokers

I just wanted to let you know that this move was complete joke. I want to say your come across as a genuine, honest and likable person. Which all may be true but with all the things we talked about which was mostly the price and it seems like I was scammed. Mr.Smooth Talker. First, On the detailed list of items that you sent was completely inaccurate. After the additional talks, we had updated the list and what we talked about wasn’t updated..Even with the additional items that we added you said Iwas still below the total sqft and would be good to go. Therefore, the movers showed up at my moms house and didn’t pack anything for over 3-4 hours (it seemed.I wasn’t looking at a watch) before they packed anything up because they had to go over all the items that were supposed to be moved. Since the list was not complete and or wrong . During that time I called your customer service and talked to Sarah, She was an awesome person to work with even with my pissed off demeanor. The whole thing was so upsetting and when the dust cleared I got a whole $75 off. And after 9 hours they were finally done packing up the truck. Which in my mind it should have taken 2-3 hours I’m guessing. There wasn’t that many items…maybe less than a 1 bedroom apartment . Wow…so when the movers were finally finished I Ended up leaving behind my moms living room furniture (was a sectional and a round loveseat and ottoman) that I wanted (For sentimental reasons). The movers said that the furniture was over 300 sqft by itself. The artwork which we talked about wasn’t on the list so we had to reduce that by over half to even fit in the truck. Because of the amount of room they had on the truck. Which was full when they got to my moms house. They had to remove another customers items out of the truck and they put it on the outside on the back of the truck wrapped in tarps and strap so they could fit outside. The movers said they drop off our items in a warehouse until they have enough items going north to us. Which means the chances of getting something broke increases significantly. You mentioned too that wasn’t the case and you said the whole process takes 5-7 days. Today is day 11 and they said it could be another day . I asked you multiple times about the price you gave me and promised that it would only change if it was over the 302 sqft. (recall my couch/loveseat/ottoman were 300 by itself) I was charged over $400 for packing materials and wrapping which was never talked about. We did talk about the $5.50 additional price per sqft. Which I thought was going to happen because I didn’t know what was all there. All in all I’m paying over $1000 more for the delivery of my Moms items that we agreed on and I don’t even get to take half of the furniture on the list back home. We also talked about the payments and I paid $500 via Venmo and the rest was Zelle. I got a call today saying I need cash or postal money order to get my things otherwise they were not going to deliver. The Actual movers said that you can’t believe what the brokers say. This whole process is a huge nightmare. When your dealing with a lose of a parent and the emotions that go along with that, you expect everyone to be on your side. I also had to sign multiple documents at my Moms that you need a lawyer to go over because half of the things pertain to the moving industry. It would have been nice to be notified how the process works and what was expected of me during the move so stuff like this doesn’t happen. I also know that this was a unusual situation with us being 1200 miles away and that’s why I was so adamant about the sqft and price when we talked many times. Couple more things…I can’t wait to see what was damaged tomorrow when the things get delivered and lastly, I don’t know how you guys call yourselves a moving company when you guys are just brokers.

Your very upset customer

Long-distance move from Maine to Massachusetts

Cost of moving

Overall my move was smooth. The people moving me were professional and nice. The problem was the cost. It went from the initial estimate of approximately $3800 to the final cost of almost $10,000. I went over everything with the company a few day before moving and it had gone up to about $5800 . Ok . Then when the movers came they said I had way more. I actually got rid of several pieces of furniture that were counted . I was also told the blankets??they wrapped my furniture in would be free. Before unloading I was told that I would have to pay for them. Another $280 cash. I moved from Maine to Massachusetts and my belongings went into storage. They didn’t have to do anything but put it in storage. I feel that they take advantage of people. You have no choice but to use them because you’re packed and have to leave. They have your life on a truck and you have absolutely no recourse.

Long-distance move from Texas to Florida

Texas to Florida move

I got a competitive quote from 3 Brothers of $6600. Their competition was $7800. I gave 3 Brothers my business. They immediately subcontracted the job to a Texas company who came and loaded me out in Texas. Once my goods were on their truck the subcontractor said it would cost a total of $11,100 to deliver to Florida and I had to pay $4000 in cash then and there. I had no choice. When I contacted 3 Brothers they did nothing. They did not stand behind their quote nor did they try to control their subcontractor. 3 Brothers CAN NOT BE TRUSTED. They do not deserve any stars but zero was not a choice???

Long-distance move from Oak Park, MI to Dallas, TX

Scam-y salespeople, misleading customer service

Anthony the 3 Brothers salesman seemed smart, helpful and friendly, but he was really just trying to make a buck. $2300 extra later, half my stuff is still in Michigan after I drove down my girlfriend’s car to Dallas, Texas.

I was quoted at $2500 to move a 1 bdr apartment on July 30, and that should have included packing supplies and packing services. A 3 Brothers rep, I believe Scott, called July 29 to ensure my items list, which includes furniture from a living room, bedroom and dining table and other small items and reiterated that we have packing services. Carriers (Simple Movers or Simply Movers) show up and tell me three things to pretty much derail the process: they’re not packers and they never agreed to do that (so now me and my girlfriend have to pack last minute, thanks Anthony and Scott!); they don’t have the 30 boxes I paid for and even if they did, they didn’t have room on the truck for them (shoutout to Anthony for billing me for things he knew wouldn’t fit on the truck) and the best part, they actually don’t have space for all the items, but if I could pick like half, they might make that work. So they charged me an extra 2,000 over the quoted price and STILL couldn’t take my items. The Simply Movers guy was like “Idk why they told you that space would work, he had to know your item wouldn’t fit unless he’s new there.” Naw, he just wanted that commission and 3 Brothers isn’t mad at him for it.

A 3 Brothers rep I contact during the move was no help and stopped replying when Simple Movers’ supervisor wanted to speak with her. Then after the fact they told me I shouldn’t have signed the movers contract and should have had someone else do it – as if I didn’t fly in just for this move on these dates. Do they know how difficult that is for someone who has been planning a move for three months? It wasn’t an option since I had to be at work in Dallas in 3 days. Now I have to pay extra money for them to re-deliver next week (we didn’t have $4,000 to spend on the move, only about $3,000 until I get paid next) and still get to fly back to Michigan, rent a U-Haul and I guess do it the right way on my own.

Go with U-Pack. Better communication, they take more responsibility and the actually deliver the services and space they promise. 3 Brothers doesn’t see any issue with this process and how it’s played out. (They also lied and said I canceled the moving services, but when I told em to replay the call where that happened, they haven't mentioned it since. Funny.) I never added an item that wasn’t previously discussed or asked for any add-on. I was prepared to pay an extra 500-1,000, but paying double to not even get allof my GF's things? Their salesman suggested I get packing services, which is a shamelessly sheisty move. Their team wholeheartedly believes it’s my fault I was underquoted and then the carrier didn’t have space for my items. Their customer service reps are just there to pass the blame to the carrier, who has been blaming 3 Brothers for the lack of communication since the moment showed up to do the move. Must be nice, but this is why there are all those news articles about scam-y movers. U-Pack or do it yourself unless you have a couple thousand dollars of liquidity and the patience for the most lacking-accountability customer service you’ll ever experience.

Scam company

If I could give 0 stars I would. The guy I booked with told me that my stuff would be on the same truck from pick up to delivery, that was the first lie. Then on the day of my move the cost was doubled, 3-4 days after pick up I called to ask if I could reschedule due to an issue with my new place, then I get a call from the delivery company 2 weeks before my redelivery date saying they were on their way. When I said no I got yelled at. 3 brothers do not respond to emails and just today Sarah the monster customer service manager yelled at me and called me racist because I told her the delivery company said my stuff would be delivered 5 days late due to Rosh Hashanah. She is so damn rude and completely useless. Please be aware and do NOT use this scam company.

Official company response

I wanted to address the concerns you raised regarding the pickup and delivery of your household goods, which occurred on 4/12 and 4/22 respectively.

I sincerely apologize for any confusion that may have arisen on the day of delivery regarding the elevator fee. It appears there was a miscommunication, and I regret any inconvenience this may have caused. Please be informed that as per our contract terms, payment of the agreed-upon amount specified in the Bill of Lading is a prerequisite for the offloading process to commence. The driver`s adherence to this policy was in accordance with the agreed terms.

Regarding your involvement in the physical movement of goods, I understand your frustration. However, as we were not notified at the time of pickup about any assistance required, our crew proceeded as usual. Regrettably, any attempts to rectify this situation now, five months later, would not yield a different outcome. The items not loaded were solely those you directed our crew not to load, as per the notes in our file.

I encourage you to reach out directly to our Customer Service team to discuss this matter further. Despite the passage of time since the pickup, we are more than willing to explore any possible solutions to address your concerns to the best of our ability. Your satisfaction is of utmost importance to us, and we are committed to resolving this matter to your satisfaction.

Do Not Use This Moving Broker

Moving is already stressful – this is my word of caution to others to not exacerbate that by working with an unprofessional, dishonest business like 3 Brothers Moving & Storage.

I did a long-distance move from east Texas to west Texas and priced both private trucks and van line services. I was warned that the lead time to receive your items with a van line service could be longer than comfortable (up to 21 days). Due to this, it was one of the questions I specifically asked when obtaining quotes. I was told by at 3BMS MULTIPLE times that our delay would only be 1 to 2 days.

The day of pick up we were met with many surprises. 1. This was the first time it was disclosed that 3BMS operates as a broker and subbed out our job to a local moving company. We were asked by the subcontractor to sign a new quote with T&C’s on the spot. 2. The team lead informed us that our cubic square footage had been grossly underestimated which essentially doubled the quote. This was despite carefully inventorying our large assets. We were very transparent with the sqft of our home and that we needed 3 Brothers guidance on estimated boxes. It’s my opinion they intentionally undercut to make their quote more competitive. 3. That we should expect 5 to 10 business days for our items to be delivered.

I reached out to 3BMS sales rep, Anthony Delvecchio, multiple times seeking to understand the disparity of delivery time. I never received an acknowledgement or response from him. This is the height of unprofessionalism and only assured my assumption that he was intentionally deceitful.

Several items were damaged, boxes smashed, wood furniture destroyed. Each sub is pointing fingers at the other as the party responsible (different business delivered and picked up neither was 3BM employees.

Lessons learned is to utilize one of the local guys. We wasted $1,875 for 3BM to broker a deal we could have made ourselves. Due to what seems to be 3BMS’s intentional misguidance, we spent the same amount as we would have for a specific team/truck to drive straight through to our new home.

Cost

They are subcontractors. For a 60 mile move ,they grossly underestimated my costs.Even with a verbal inventory ,estimates cannot be off by three times.I was quoted 7300K,

When the actual movers came, their visual estimate was way off. They came with one truck and had to make another trip.

The company that they contracted did a good job. They should be realistic in quoting. It does not take a rocket scientist to figure it out.

They lied to me

: RUN away from 3 Brother’s Moving & Storage brokering service at 3movingbrothers.com (US DOT: 3840883 MC: 1396743)! They WILL lie to you about what is included in their final quote. I figured out too late that this company is a complete scam. I begged for my deposit back. They told me to find a different moving company but they are keeping my deposit that they made me send thru Venmo. That should have been a clue that they are not legit. Awful service

We talked with Rep Anthony and he gave us a quote. Walked through house and he listed things. Said we’d need 2 trucks. Quoted us a price and lowballed the price. Said they’d deliver in 5 days. When one truck arrived they charged us double. Including charging us to pack things already listed on inventory. After 7 days still waiting for our things to arrive. Have called daily without any answer or call backs. They do not have 24/7 phone service. Poor service and awful customer service

$2800 QUOTE CHARGED $4800 BAIT & SWITCH THIEVERY ?

I have used professional movers 13 times inter and intra-state so I I'm a veteran mover customer. I was quoted $2,800 for 850sf one bedroom unit by Vince Sheridan, senior coordinator. I gave him specifics of my Mansion mirror and 85 in TV that would need special packing, otherwise I had 75 66qt boxes already packed with sofa, bed, 3 small furniture items. On moving day, OCEAN MOVERS showed up in an Enterprise lease truck apparently subcontractors of 3 Brothers???? The moving team were fine, but Ocean Movers' customer service staff were condescending and rude regarding to every concern I had. I was advised the charge was now $4800 from $2800 and they only accept cashier's check, Zelle or CASH. CONSIDERING I PROVIDED AN ACCURATE CUBIC FEET FOR THE QUOTE, THIS SHOULD NOT HAVE HAPPENED. AS A SINGLE, RETIRED FEMALE, THIS EXPERIENCE HAS BEEN THE WORST MOVE EVER DONE AND I HONESTLY FEEL RAPED BY THIS COMPANY! PLEASE DO NOT CONSIDER THREE BROTHERS MOVING AND STORAGE. THEY WORK ON THE BAIT AND SWITCH METHOD!! My BOL # 1890416.

Long-distance move from Leesburg, FL to Belle Center, OH

VERY UNPROFESSIONAL

I was given a great price for our move, and was told everything I wanted to hear. How I could call them with any questions anytime. I booked them 7 weeks before the move. As it got closer to the time of the move I started calling to go over inventory ETC. In one day I called four times to no Avail. I would get disconnected every time I finally got ahold of someone that I had never talked to before and he was very short and direct with me that everything was on schedule and I would hear from them later. I ask if they would for sure be there on March7 and was told they would call me the day before either March 7 or 8 We were selling our house and HAD to be moved out on March 7 because new owners were taking over March 8. And they could not guarantee that. That is when I decided to cancel there service, and the minute I text that to Christian he immediately called and text back and got pretty hateful with me for cancelling. Telling me how I wasted his time and I would not be getting a refund on my deposit.

I found it very interesting how I could not get a hold of him all day until I told him I was cancelling. And as of today I do not have a refund. I cancelled on 2/26/24. I have called customer service and get get an answer. I will keep trying and I will be reporting it to the BBB if I do not get a Refund and who ever else I can report to. I was also told that they were NOT a Broker and I found out later they were, another reason I cancelled. Believe me I did not want to go through finding another mover at last minute . But I did because I was not comfortable with them at all.
