Sonic auto transport

This company doesn’t even deserve 1 star! I chose them out of all the other companies to get me a transport from Louisiana to California. Signed a contract and read reviews etc. Gave Alex my debit card information to get it going and next day HUNDREDS of dollars fraud on my credit card! Someone in their billing department used my personal information to pay their Spectrum bill. When I confronted them they acted as they knew nothing. Then cancelled my transport. Stay as far away from these people as you can. The reviews are probably made by their own employees. They don’t deserve to be in business.

Service cost: $780

Fiona was great at communicating, and I’d give her a 5, driver was wonderful as well, but as for the industry right now it feels like nothing less than a scam and this company seems to participate in it! A lowball quote, followed by the “driver had an accident so Ill have to find another and it will cost u more to move car” and no way of getting around it. I offered to wait til the driver was ready but that was not an option. Only option was to pay more and then pay more! In my opinion this company should not feel good about participating in this deceptive business practice.

Sonic-Auto was able to get my car delivered on time and my agent (Clinton Blair) had good communication with me leading up to my car being picked up. The reason why I'm giving their service 3/5 stars is because I ended up paying $360 more than initially quoted. On the day that my car was supposed to be picked up my driver texted me saying that he was unable to pick it up for some weird arbitrary reason. Clinton was able to find a driver for me shortly after but I had to pay way more than I was quoted for. They stated it was due to the holidays and such but it really hurt when I had to hear that. I had no choice but to accept since I needed my car, the cancellation fee, and supposedly prices would sky rocket after New Years. Is that true or a bait-switch tactic? Who knows.

This company is an absolute JOKE. We moved from Minneapolis to St. Petersburg, FL - they picked up our vehicle last Wednesday and promised that it would be dropped off in FL by Sunday (4 day transport). It is now Tuesday and they still have not dropped the vehicle off. I was supposed to start my new job yesterday and could not, nor could I get to work today due to THIS COMPANY AND THEIR BROKEN PROMISES. They want $1000 upon pickup, and offered us "25% off for next time" - NEXT TIME? I only plan on moving cross-country ONCE, so WHY would I take that offer when they screwed up THIS time? That alone makes me believe the company won't be around within a few years from now. Do what is right and help your customers- don't screw them over.

Also, AVOID TALKING TO ***JAY GOOD*** She is one of the rudest people I have ever spoken with over the phone - she alone, makes the company looks terrible. Not sure how she managed to land a customer service job when she has no customer service skills. She kept cutting me off and telling me to "drop my attitude" - last time I checked, I AM THE CUSTOMER AND YOU AREN'T DOING ANYTHING TO HELP. Now they are ignoring my phone calls and I have no idea how I am supposed to get my car. Again, I repeat, this company is a JOKE and so is JAY GOOD. Be aware - they are a full-blown scam. Now we have to call the police and report the vehicle stolen because they aren't willing to lower the amount owed ($1000), and we are not willing to pay that - again, this is THEIR mistake, and by not taking accountability makes them look foolish as a company.

I will continue to post this review on as many websites as possible in order to get the word out, since JAY GOOD doesn't want to do anything to help. I called and asked to speak with a manager and got "K I'll send your info over. Hopefully they reach out soon" ...... Great talk.

I had a very good experience with Sonic Auto Transport from Jacksonville, NC to Las Vegas, NV. My customer service rep was Petra Griffin, she was very professional and made the experience a good one! We had good communication from the beginning of the process. Our 2017 Mitsubishi Outlander was delivered within the timeframe quoted (6 days) and our driver, Alex was professional as well. I would recommend Sonic Auto Transport and be sure to ask for Petra, she was Great! Thank you. Mayra

I would give ZERO stars if possible. BEWARE of the bait and switch from this company. I was quoted $650 to transport my car. Sales rep called EVERYDAY until I signed the contract and then radio silence after. Got a call the morning of my pick up and was told the price was now $970 and if I wouldn't pay the driver would take someone else's car. I ended up paying $220 more for this service- they offered me a $20 discount for my trouble. That's barely a drop in the $220 bucket and then they didn't even apply the discount. AVOID! AVOID! AVOID!

I was very leery about shipping a vehicle cross-country. I’ve heard horror stories about the process. Did a lot of research and decided to choose Sonic, primarily based on cost vs services provided. Very cautiously, I began my dealings with Angel. I must say, Angel was amazing, very open and honest about the process. She made me feel like I wasn’t just another number, but a valued customer. I am in the customer service industry (airline pilot) and I know the attributes of a great employee. Angel is the type of employee I would want to surround myself with. She is a fantastic asset to your company and if I were in charge, I’d do ANYTHING to keep her in my employ. I will recommend Sonic Auto Transport solely based on my interaction with this fantastic human. Thank you for a wonderful experience. Thank you Miss Angel. Your name suits you perfectly.

We used this company to ship my car from Florida to Missouri. We got an estimated quote of $1000. They were supposed to pick it up before I left town. They said it would be around 8:00 a.m. I called their 24 hour number around 6:00 a.m. to confirm. The customer service worker said that she couldn’t confirm anything with me and I should call when my agent was in around 8:00. So I called at 8:00 when the company hadn’t arrived. No one answered. I called them a few times each hour until I had to get on my plane. Still, no one answered the phone or returned my messages or email. Right before I had to get on the plane, they called me back to tell me they would get my car the next day. I had to give my keys to a friend in town so they could give them to the driver of the company. The next day came, no one came to get the car. I called the company several times that day and no one answered again. They called me the next day and told me they would get the car the day after that. That day came, and still no show. The company still didn’t answer any of my calls. TWO DAYS later, they called to tell me that they would get the car on Sunday, but it would cost and extra $600. There was very little explanation as to why. My car has since been picked up but hasn’t arrived three days later. This company is very unorganized. They won’t give you an accurate time frame or answer any of your calls when they fail to arrive on scheduled dates. Then, they will up charge you. Overall, this was a very stressful experience that ended up costing more than the original quote for no reason. There are plenty of other good companies that will be on time, answer your calls, and that won’t upcharge you. I suggest using a different company to save time and money.

After a couple failed attempts working with different auto transport brokers , I was blessed to find Judy Kats. Due to the prevailing ecomony, finding transportation drivers is a total lottery. JudyFirst found one that wanted too much money but then she found the right one after. Although my truck had to wait a few weeks to be moved, Judy was on top of thing With daily updates by text so she made me feel taken care of all along. The process went as agreed and my vehicle was finally delivered safe and sound.

Kudos to Judy.
