Sonic auto transport

What a total joke this company. The day my car is to be picked up they text me and tell me the driver got sick and cant pick it up. This wastes 5 days! When looking for another driver. They tell me its now going to cost $1250. that's $465 more than our signed contract is for. Now they want me to sign another contract at $1250. This is basically extortion. Agree to a lower price than at the last minute hit me with a higher price or end up paying storage fees for the car as it waits another 5 days for a carrier to pick it up. To me that's exactly like extortion. Im temped to report this to the authorities. This is not a do what's right for the customer company its a do what's best for them and that's extorting people.

This company is a straight up scam. They do not own any trucks or do anything other than reach out to find you a transport.

I was originally quoted a price when I booked 4 months in advance, I followed up every week one month prior to the day because I wasn't hearing anything and kept being assured that everything was fine.

On the day of the delivery I get a phone call from a guy with a fake Russian accent saying he crashed his truck and can't pick up my car.

Sonic "somehow" finds another truck to take it that day but now it's going to be $300 more and they want me to pay it otherwise they can't say when my car will be picked up.

They really know how to grift someone in a desperate situation that they created, because they knew it was my moving day and I was leaving the state (I was very clear in all of my phone calls that I needed the pickup this day or prior to it) If I did it again I would reach out direct to a local trucking company and cut out these useless middlemen.

Service cost: $1075

Bob & Daniel at Sonic Auto Transport went above and beyond to get my Jeep from Illinois to Idaho at the last minute when my previous 6-week reservation with another company left us hanging on our agreed upon pick-up date. Stopped all communication I’m figuring because they never found a driver. Gave them 3 days of endless calls with not a single response. The guys at Sonic bailed us out of a bad situation and were great to deal with. They had my car shipped from Illinois to Idaho within 4 days of first contact. Herman & Mary were our drivers and couldn’t have asked for better. Communicated all the way via text messaging. I highly recommend this company. They deliver on their promises. Wish I would have chosen you guys first. Thanks again to all of you, John & Anna

I had a great experience with Sonic and Kevin Alston specifically. Kevin stayed in touch with me daily while my car was in transport. He answered all my calls and texts, and if he didn't answer, he called me back within minutes. The quote he gave me was far cheaper than any other quote I had already been given and other than a $150 deposit at pickup didn't have to be paid until my car was in front of me and I was satisfied with their job. Would absolutely use again. Thanks so much Sonic and especially Kevin Alston and Yuahmel, the driver. Everything I had hoped and way more.

Sonic Transport employee, Kevin Alston, rocks! I needed a transport from Houston, Tx to OKC to my son in college. He made it happen cheap, fast and delivered exactly at the time promised! The driver was friendly and both he and Kevin made me feel comfortable with the transport. Kevin was awesome! He was truthful and honest through the whole process and treated me very kindly and the entire process was PROFESSIONAL. I highly recommend Kevin and his team for your next transport.

ABSOLUTELY DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. THEY ARE ESSENTIALLY RUNNING A SCAM. They quoted me a price of $1,450 to ship my car from Massachusetts to California, and today, less than 48 hours before pickup, they told me that the driver’s “father died and he is in the hospital” - that’s a direct quote, I’m not sure if his father died OR he is in the hospital, but either way it began to sound fishy. They then told me that the only other driver they found was charging $2,200 - over $700 more than the original price that I agreed to in the contract. Judy, Kylie, and Judy’s manager all worked in concert with each other to facilitate this scam - and all 3 refused to take accountability for not adhering to the original contract and continued to blame the driver. They also imbed a clause in the contract saying that the “price is subject to change”, meaning they can charge what they want regardless of what’s in the contract.

In short, THIS IS A SCAM. They wait until you have no other options and then try to raise the price of the shipment. Please DO NOT USE THEM.

I was skeptical at first to use this broker due to some bad reviews complaining about price fluctuations, but Im glad I did. The service I received from the broker,Jennifer L., was above and beyond. She is excellent to work with and ensures you get a trustworthy and professional truck carrier (GODSPEED LLC). After understanding how these types of services work, I had an excellent experience with them. I would most definitely recommend! California to Virginia delivery. Cheers, Andrew
