Montway Auto Transport

Montway Auto Transport gave me a fast quote for transporting my 1940 Ford Deluxe Coupe, and when I was ready to order they made it quick and easy to understand. I paid $199 on my credit card and they gave me discount for paying cash to the driver when he arrived.

The driver made delivery within 2 days, right on time. He even wiped the car down for me.

I highly recommend this covered transport company, especially for the classic car guys and gals.

Service cost: $1239

I shipped two vehicles with this company and they hired a third party company by the name of SURKHON TRUCKING LLC. Never use Montway or Surkhon. The trucking company would not drive up my street and instead told me to come get the vehicle where they were parked down the road. They could 100% drove up my road and delivered the vehicle. If I did not come to them they said the would be taking my vehicle to PA. My Range Rover then arrived damaged and the driver tried to tell me the damage was there when they picked it up, which all of our the documentation I have clearly showed my car was perfect when it left. Instead it arrived with a damaged windshield and they told me to pound sand. They even unloaded the car at night somewhere to take pictures thus trying to pawn off bogus pictures that were not taken at the pick up site. Montway gave me the cold shoulder and also told me they are not responsible for damage caused by the company they hired. They told me to contact the third party who I never hired! They did not even assist me with trying to get there insurance info. Told me to go through my insurance instead. This was my first time using this company who was recommended by Allied Van Lines. I also got inside my car and found grease everywhere. I have a very expensive car with White Interior, check the photos. I hope all who read this heed the warning and hire someone else. Terrible Experience!!!!

My very FIRST auto transport was accomplished with PERFECTION as Montway Auto Transport and the Tornado Team LLC trucking company worked flawlessly together. I had to pay an extra $100 to Montway over my original quote because my drop off destination was more remote than the usual city hubs. However, my car arrived ahead of schedule & in absolutely perfect condition! I expected my transport to be in an open trailer but instead it was transported the entire Kansas to California journey in an enclosed trailer. This made the extra remote fee entirely worth it! I would definitely use MONTWAY AUTO TRANSPORT and TORNADO TEAM LLC. again for any auto transport needs!

After dealing with two other companies who came in lower but couldn’t find a driver who would take the job I canceled and went with Montway. These guys are very professional and have excellent communication tools. Live Chat, email, text they are all over it. Best customer service in the industry. Car wasn’t running and the loaded it and delivered it on time in perfect condition. They even had to push it down my street because their truck couldn’t make it down here. Highly recommended! Go with Montway you won’t be disappointed. Their contracted driver Souza Group LLC we excellent. They took my calls gave me updates and even delivered the car early which was awesome for us!! Don’t bother with the less expensive estimates they will charge you for cancellation even when the can’t find a driver. Not Montway! They only charge if a driver has been assigned and you cancel. Bottom line you get what you pay for in this industry

This was my first time shipping a vehicle so I had a lot of concerns since the car was being shipped from one coast to the other. Montway’ website is easy to navigate and explains the process. If you have questions about the process an actual human is available to answer your questions. A few days before your pick up date you’re given the name of the carrier. When they arrive they go over your car and take pictures, go over each one with you, even take a picture of the mileage. You’re given an approximate date of delivery also. It was important that my car was picked up on time which it was and delivered on time in perfect condition. If I need to transport another vehicle Montway will be the co. I call. I had 2 other quotes but they couldn’t give me definite dates, didn’t answer my questions, even had one call me later and berate me.

Just received parking tickets on my vehicle from Massachusetts while it was supposed to be on a CAR CARRIER.  Vehicle arrived over a week late, bumper ripped off when they unloaded off the truck in front of my house, and the clutch and transmission was in near-undriveable condition.  Must have been driving my car around Massachusetts and abusing the heck out of my car.
 
But, to make matters worse, they didn't even mention the parking tickets.  Did they expect us to not notice?
 
"Incorporated" Florida company they sourced transport out to didn't even exist according to the Florida Division of Corporations.  They obviously do not check into any of the transport companies they broker your vehicle out to.  What a scam.  Do NOT do business with this company.

Driver arrived late to copart auction yard in Florida to pick up the car on the scheduled day and was forced to pick up the following day.He made the offer to pay any and all storage fees or penalties that occurred admitting that he was at fault. (the same thing happened with me when I used a company by name of allegiant auto logistics and they refused to accept the blame and cost me an additional $100.00 in storage fees by going through the weekend NEVER USE THESE PEOPLE) Anyways montway offered and took care of it because they are good to their word and don't put money ahead of customer service or satisfaction.(unlike the other) They did pick up late but delivered 2 DAYS EARLY!!.SO EVERYTHING ON MY END WORKED OUT PERFECT I will definitely use these guys again and probally wont even bother with trying to broker through uship or any other website again !!NEVER USE ALLEGIANT AUTO LOGISTICS they are crooks!!  .

These guys absolutely destroyed my car exterior. I have huge scratches on my hood and roof, and even circular scratches where someone clearly tried to "fix" it.

The car showed up muddy and dirty, hiding the scratches. The driver literally stopped the car in the middle of a busy highway and offloaded the car in the middle of traffic. I think the driver intentionally parked in the middle of the highway (and maybe got it dirty) to hide the scratches and keep there from being a thorough inspection, since they were in the middle of traffic.

I was out of the country for several months, so it was a family member of mine who accepted delivery on my behalf. When I got home I washed the car, saw the scratches, and couldn't believe it. I called, emailed, and contacted the company online to file complaints. No responses as of yet.

Learn from my mistakes! I know it took me way too long to recognize the damage, and I had a family member sign for the car, but I never would have thought that they could have been this destructive or careless. Absolutely DO NOT use this company. They are dishonest and they will ruin the car. It's not worth it.

We thought we were hiring a reputable company to transport my dad’s vehicle.  We originally hired Montway Auto Transport.  However, we didn’t realize they subcontracted out to Save-On Transport until the day of the pickup.  When the vehicle was delivered, the vehicle was covered with heavy dust.  After washing the car, there were hundreds of scratches to the rear of the vehicle.  It appears that something was hanging down from the upper trailer that was rubbing or striking the vehicle during the transport.  When we called Montway Auto Transport, they told us to file with the insurance company.  The insurance company told us that the cost of the damage was below deductable and we needed to deal with Save-On Transport directly.  When we called Save-On Transport, they told us that “his driver did not make those scratches and they were not paying a penny.”  During the course of the conversation, the owner, David Galitsin also stated that he had over 15 complaints made against him via Better Business Bureau (BBB) and that he didn’t care if one more complaint was made by us.  When I checked into BBB ratings, they rated Save-On Transport an “F” out of scale of A to F.  The rating of “F” was due to failure to respond to complaints filed against them and no sufficient info to determine how long they have been operating or providing any background information on this business.  If we had known all this, we would never have agreed for Save-On to transport our vehicle.    We made our last attempt and contacted Montway Auto Transport to advise them that we had a contract with them and not with Save-On Transports.  They advised me that we could have refused the service if we didn’t like the subcontractor.  How could we have known, if we didn’t know until the day of the pickup.  Basically, nobody is taking the responsibility and we are stuck with the bills.      I definitely would not recommend either of these companies.   .

Prompt transport estimate.  Driver was professional, experienced and helpful on both ends, accommodating with requirement to pump up the tires for movement off the truck during on/off loads during shipping. (NOTE - as required the truck was running however it was pre-restoration and running rough with sketchy tires) The price of the transport was reasonable, very competitive.. I received 5 estimates.  I selected Montway because they provided a better estimate - more specific on the final cost, estimated pickup/delivery dates and were more responsive to questions.  The driver was very helpful with estimated pickup and delivery times and provided updates with issues along the transport.

Service cost: $1690

I filled out a pick-up request for the 18th on the internet. Received confirmation via email that they would contact me shortlyThe called the evening of the 18th to confirm pick-up.I told them it was too late--went with someone else.  Person on phone asked me to send email back cancelling order--I didShe then called me to say full refund. Then her dispatcher called--said they needed $199 cancellation fee--said they had a pick-upI asked when--they said the 21st--which was not the 18th when I told them we went with company x--they insisted company x could not pick up our car on the 19th.  he kept bullying me to go with him and cancel company x.  I went with company x and they picked up my car on the 19th!He then charged me a $199 cancellation fee--which is what you sign up for if you fill out a request on line --even if they don't meet the date you asked for--sounds like a one-way deal to me--Montways!

Delivery went as smooth as possible. Our pick up and delivery times, which were limited for our own personal reasons, were met for both ends. The driver kept us updated on location. If we texted or called with questions we received a response in a timely manner. Couldnt have asked for anything more. Very happy with how the overall experience was from dialing the 800# to the car being delivered! I should mention the car was modified with only 3 inches of clearance and they managed to get it on and off the truck with zero issues!

Service cost: $1299

My experience with this car hauling company was ok. Very nice truck driver. My only complaint is that they did a bait and switch to me. We had agreed on a $1,200.00 price to haul my 1948 chev from northen minn.to phx.az and then they called me back and lied and said that the truck driver want's an extra $200.because he has to drive out of his way to go so far north to my town to pick up my car when in fact he was coming from the north and my town was accually on his way south. So I agreed to give them there extra $200. The first price they gave me was $1599. I told them I will give them $1,200 they accepted that. So just know that there prices aren't written in stone and they are nagoatiable. (Spelling).

After 2 weeks waiting for another company to find a truck to ship my vehicle, I called Montway out of desperation. They assured me that they could find a transporter in the few days I had left. I was skeptical but agreed. By 10 am the next morning they found me a transporter who picked up my vehicle that same day. To top it off it was delivered to me a day earlier than stated.
If I ever need to ship another vehicle, I would definitely use Montway. Their communication with me was top notch and they did what they said they would do for the price originally quoted.
The driver was very professional, and a pleasure to talk to. He called me several times to keep me updated on his progress.

Service cost: $1070

I contracted with Montway to ship my truck across country. They did not inform me I should receive a bill of lading at the origin and destination. The driver called and said they would be arriving at around 7 PM. I called at 9 and they said they should be there within the hour. They actually arrived at 1:30 AM. They arranged to drop the car off in a Walmart parking lot. They had dropped one of the car carrier lifts onto the bumper of my truck creating a deep dent. They also dented the front quarter panel. They ripped the tailpipes off the muffler. All of this damage was concealed they actually painted the dent on the front bumper. The driver then took pictures avoiding the areas they damaged. I arrived three weeks after the truck arrived (it was put directly into storage immediately following the drop off). I discovered the damage and filed a claim. I was told I was unlikely to be successful as I hadn't called within 24 hours of receiving the vehicle. I was also told without the bill of lading I couldn't file the claim. I will three times more to repair the damage than I did on shipping. Montway basically said we just arranged the transport we hold no responsibility this is between you and the company we hired to transport. Single worst experience I have ever had as a consumer.
