Montway Auto Transport

My experience with this car hauling company was ok. Very nice truck driver. My only complaint is that they did a bait and switch to me. We had agreed on a $1,200.00 price to haul my 1948 chev from northen minn.to phx.az and then they called me back and lied and said that the truck driver want's an extra $200.because he has to drive out of his way to go so far north to my town to pick up my car when in fact he was coming from the north and my town was accually on his way south. So I agreed to give them there extra $200. The first price they gave me was $1599. I told them I will give them $1,200 they accepted that. So just know that there prices aren't written in stone and they are nagoatiable. (Spelling).

After 2 weeks waiting for another company to find a truck to ship my vehicle, I called Montway out of desperation. They assured me that they could find a transporter in the few days I had left. I was skeptical but agreed. By 10 am the next morning they found me a transporter who picked up my vehicle that same day. To top it off it was delivered to me a day earlier than stated.
If I ever need to ship another vehicle, I would definitely use Montway. Their communication with me was top notch and they did what they said they would do for the price originally quoted.
The driver was very professional, and a pleasure to talk to. He called me several times to keep me updated on his progress.

I contracted with Montway to ship my truck across country. They did not inform me I should receive a bill of lading at the origin and destination. The driver called and said they would be arriving at around 7 PM. I called at 9 and they said they should be there within the hour. They actually arrived at 1:30 AM. They arranged to drop the car off in a Walmart parking lot. They had dropped one of the car carrier lifts onto the bumper of my truck creating a deep dent. They also dented the front quarter panel. They ripped the tailpipes off the muffler. All of this damage was concealed they actually painted the dent on the front bumper. The driver then took pictures avoiding the areas they damaged. I arrived three weeks after the truck arrived (it was put directly into storage immediately following the drop off). I discovered the damage and filed a claim. I was told I was unlikely to be successful as I hadn't called within 24 hours of receiving the vehicle. I was also told without the bill of lading I couldn't file the claim. I will three times more to repair the damage than I did on shipping. Montway basically said we just arranged the transport we hold no responsibility this is between you and the company we hired to transport. Single worst experience I have ever had as a consumer.

I have had an absolutely horrible experience with this company. My car wasn’t picked up until 5 days after my requested pick up date, which was incredibly inconvenient. I shipped the vehicle with a full tank of fuel, but somehow there was 1/4 tank missing when it arrived. Montway was never helpful in determining when the car would be shipped.. or arrive, and when it did arrive, I had to drive an hour out of my way, only to find that the driver of the transport was going to charge me an extra $25!! No chance will I ever use this company again!!

I had an 'emergency' move to transport my Audi TT from LA to DC -- I had short notice, and very specific and tight requirements for pickup day. I had called and booked other carrier but they were bad in communication and guaranteeing pickup on specific day, so I dropped them and called Montway.

From the beginning sales agent and booking confirmation -- with guaranteed pickup day -- and all the the way through the service, communication was the BEST.

On pickup day I was getting text messages + phone call from the Driver and he even apologized for being 15 minutes late. Montway central service dept was also in regular communication. They picked up exactly as had been agreed to.

The cross-country trip was quick -- only matter of few days, and I got update and ETA approx. 1 day in advance of delivery.

The load and unload was efficient and they took great care of the car.

At the end, checkout/delivery was a breeze with their mobile app.

I would HIGHLY recommend Montway, and will definitely use them again!

MONTWAY Auto Transportation company was excellent. If you are looking for a cross-country transportation company. MONTWAY is the company for you. Our 2019 car was transported from North Carolina to CA this April 2021 with no problems. Everyone involved with this process was just wonderful. Even the dispatchers was great and very knowledgeable. I have already recommended this company to a friend and will use them again myself in the near future. The driver was able to pick up our car earlier than scheduled, which was great for us. They did everything they promised. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND MONTWAY
