Excellence with a side of waiting

How to write a review while sounding both positive and showing appreciation while helping others know what might happen...

In order to move my car from CA to NV I signed up initially on a Monday, looking for transport one week in the future, now I know I should schedule with two or maybe three weeks advanced notice.

The driver who picked up the car did an outstanding job, treating my car as if it were their own, not rushing anything and making sure everything was configured the best way possible. It's nice when you see someone who handles your property with the care and attention that the owner would.

I'll definitely be using Montway in the future, just be sure to give enough time :-)

Reliable Car Transport

I used Montway to ship my car from Connecticut to Tennessee in August. To my full satisfaction, both the pickup and delivery were on time and within three days as they promised. The whole transport process was transparent and trackable and done professionally. My car arrived in the same condition as it was picked up from the pictures taken before and after the delivery. The trucking driver who transported my car was polite, responsible, and pleasant to talk to. I had nothing more to desire from this service. I will certainly use Montway again for future transport needs.

As a comparison, I also contacted another big auto transport company before Montway. They did everything they could to get the order but when I submitted the paperwork for my order, they became elusive and avoided answering any questions for tracking details. I considered myself lucky not to go with that company!

I had a wonderful experience from the beginning to the end. The staff was very cordial, professional and courteous. Everything was smooth and they were the most affordable. Great Experience

I was under a time constraint to get my car from MI to FL. Initially was not happy as the car was not picked up by the time I thought it needed to be. A manager from Montway called me and gave me his personal cell phone and made it happen. I am a super happy customer. The guys that picked up the car were also about as professional as it gets. Highly recommend this company!

Excellent job—timely!

Montway provided a great gateway for me to be able to move a car from Florida to Arizona. I had to reschedule pick up because of paperwork but no problem! The reschedule pick up was timely, efficient and arrived safely at the other end. Appreciate all the immediate responses from customer service and would highly recommend. The price was better with Montway directly than going through the bidding services. The transport company who took my job were kind and answered all my questions and kept in touch.

Montay- Perfect delivery - good commitment

First time using a car transport service and the experience couldn’t have been easier! Talked to Harry regarding how it all works and quickly filled out the forms - no obligation and no money up front. The car was picked up the committed date and delivered before committed date to the destination. Driver texted/called along the way so we knew exactly where our car was and when to expect delivery. I would definitely recommend Montway to anyone shipping their vehicle. Driver also very friendly. He used to give updates frequently till the car delivered day. Nice job. good chat always available and responsive 24*7. Overall good experience. car delivered from NJ to CA within committed time with good condition with care.

More Money Extorted by Driver.

Their driver should have asked for more money when he picked the SUV up, not try to extort more on delivery. The driver saw the items in the back when he loaded the SUV onto his carrier, he drove it! He used the rear view mirror! We both took videos and pictures of the SUV before it left, inside and out. Not a peep about an extra100lbs, blocked views or needing more money! He just drove off!

I do not agree the extra extorted "amount was Fair". The driver screwed himself out of a decent tip. I have much more honest pic's of what was in the back. The driver taking a pic from 10 inches away makes anything look larger than it is. A spare tire and mower weigh less than 100 lbs. Neither was blocking any view or not secure.

I understand now why deliveries are C.O.D. cash only. Mistakes, lies and extortion are much easier when you are in possession of our vehicles and demand cash only on delivery. No charge backs! Pretty shady way to run a business. I should have read the reviews closer. (As noted previously, Montway seems be writing a large number of their own Yelp and social media reviews)

"Montway is merely an aggregator of independent carriers. They do not ship the cars themselves or have any real skin in the game other than their reputation. Speaking of which, their rep is totally exaggerated on most of those fake review sites giving them 5 stars." Anthony S.

The non English speaking CSR that I could not understand hung up on me when I said I was having a tough time understanding her. Montway, don't bother replying with one of the "blame the customer" cookie cutter replies. The facts are what they are. Don't ever count on us for future business or as a positive reference.

Does Montway 1099 the drivers? Didn't think so. I am going to contact the IRS about your cash only business model. Sure Montway takes CC's for your part of the pie. But you have hundreds of contractors collecting cash all over the USA daily. I doubt much of it gets reported. Yeah, we know that's not your problem, but you can bet the IRS will be contacting Montway first about it.

Auto transport is a complicated logistical process and we are here to help guide you through every step of the way. If you ever have any questions about our processes, we are always here to help and answer any questions you may have. With that said, we provide full details about personal property policies on our website and how they must be followed.

Unfortunately for your shipment, the terms were broken and the driver would have every right to charge extra fees. As the broker, we negotiated with the carrier on your behalf to significantly reduce these fees. I agree that the driver could have handled the situation better. But they are not wrong for charging the fee. I've notified our compliance department about this situation so that they can push for retraining. As for payment, Cash on Delivery (COD) is one of the many methods of payment we offer. As a customer, you have every option to pay in full with a credit card or PayPal for example.

Your method of payment does not change the terms of service that you agree to at the time of booking. As the customer, you receive a confirmation email at the time of dispatch indicating payment. And you receive a Bill of Lading which is a receipt of inspection and payment. It's important to our team that we deliver the best service possible.

Montway Auto Transport

From my initial contact, Montway was professional and very responsive to questions I had. I also appreciated greatly not being inundated with texts, emails, and calls daily (For some other transport companies, it was multiples of one or contact methods daily. These companies were removed from consideration. I do not like hard sells, at all.).

From the time I contacted Montway that i was ready to ship the car to the time the car reached its destination over 2,000 miles away was exactly one week. The communication throughout the entire process was great. I was clearly informed about every step of the way. I recommend Montway very highly.

Can’t go wrong with Montway!

Scheduling the transportation of my car from Georgia to California was so easy! I did it all online and they had it on a truck within a week and here 5 days after that. The price was the best I could find online and the dispatcher and truck driver were quick to respond anytime I had a question.

You will not be sorry if you go with Montway to transport your vehicle.

Cross country car transport

The dispatch and driver were direct in planning the transport, communicative throughout its passage and efficient at a really high level. They were both also incredibly warm and attentive to my anxieties about the process. They communicated Consistently and got the job done in exactly the ways they promised… If I were moving again I would call them again and, this time, without anxiety! I’m not sure what they could’ve done that would’ve made it better… Their service, their people and their costs were great!

Best company for transport of vehicles

Exceptional in transport of my vehicle from California to Texas. The contractor, Viktor, provided communication at the highest level as he showed up on time, very professional and made the process so easy. My car arrived exactly when he said it would in Texas and was the easiest part of my entire moving process. I wouldn’t use any other company as this was superior customer service from start to finish.

Great experience

With so many choices to move vehicles from state to state, I really didn't know where to start. After narrowing it down to Montway, based on the fact they didn't send me loads of harassing emails and texts, we were very happy with the service. Pick up and delivery was very smooth and the dates were accurate. Payment on the delivery end was easy and my husband's Jeep arrived without any problems. Highly recommend this company and would use them again.

Successful cross country trip

I required a enclosed transport for a 2 thousand mile trip. I was prepared for a long wait before a driver was assigned. But Montway came thru at a reasonable price ( high season) within several days. Delivery made on time. Not five stars because of poor quality call center phone calls ( difficult to hear, static). Wish they had GPS tracking, would save contacting for updates across multiple timezones.

Montway - Transported Classic Truck

Montway did a very nice job of transporting a classic 1956 Ford F100 pickup about 130 miles and was able to pick it up and deliver in the same day. Communication with the driver was well done and timely. What I particularly liked was the trailer was only a two vehicle trailer and not the huge multi-car trailer...less chance of any damage to my truck. The quoted price was what I paid.

Auto Transport .

Absolutely a seven star service ! After multiple disappointments from 2 auto shipping companies , I finally reached out to Montway Auto Transport . They picked up my daughter's car, a medical student at UCSF a 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander launch edition from Gaithersburg MD to San Francisco CA . The vehicle was picked up on time as scheduled and delivered on time as scheduled without stories or inconvenience . Communication was great . Mr. Eric, the dispatcher was particularly helpful, always available to give updates unlike the initial company that disappeared into thin air never heard back from them for more than 2 weeks after taking my order . I will highly recommend Montway Auto Transport to anyone and l look forward to using the again.
