This is my first time moving out-of-state. I was hesitated and confused which auto transport to sign up for due to different good and bad comments from other people’s experience with different company. Based on the reviews I narrowed down the list on which one is important and came across with Montway Auto Transport. Montway employees are very knowledgeable, accommodating and helpful, and even provided me discount during the process of scheduling of my auto transport. They work closely with clients and make they are well informed and updated before pickup and delivery. The driver name Gabe who pickup and deliver my auto from California to Washington was very nice, professional and accommodating, and called an hour before pickup and delivery. The driver is always on time. I had very great experience with Montway employees in auto transport and I highly recommend them in your move.

The experience was fantastic overall. The driver kept us informed and updated. The only reason for a four star review instead of five was that I was told since my vehicle didn’t run, the driver would extract it from the garage and put it back in the garage at its final destination. As it turned out, when the driver came to pick up the car, he said he could only pick up and drop off in the street. I had to find another source at the destination to move it from the street to the garage. Would have made other arrangements beforehand if I had known.

This was my first time shipping a car across the country, and my experience with Montway was surprisingly great. The quote process is simple and was completed online without talking to a human (a huge plus). The rate was really reasonable and I liked that Montway had a lot of customer reviews. Montway subcontracted my shipment with SOS Transport, and my car was picked up in Chicago and shipped to SoCal. The experience was smooth, and I was assigned a driver a week before pick up, and my car was picked up on the 2nd day after the 1st available ship day. The pick up process was smooth, and my driver seemed to know what he was doing, and provided me a lot of details on how my car would be moved, and how long I can expect my shipment to take. My car arrived in California in about 9 days, and a driver at the destination called me to coordinate delivery. My car had an open transport, and aside from it arriving a bit dirty, there were no issues. The drivers on both ends were courteous and friendly, and I really have no complaints. I hope to never have to ship a car or move across the country again, but if I do, I will definitely use Montway again.

The overall Montway car transportation reservation, pickup, and delivery (from Arizona-Northern California ) was remarkable - Wednesday to Friday - a day earlier delivery than expected and parked car in front of home. In this day and age we have become so use to expect the unexpected with service and cost, but not often in the most positive ways. This was very special service! Great cost options, fantastic communication with Montway people, and safety practiced throughout transport. So pleased with service, I called the driver the day of delivery and Montway office the next day to express profound gratitude for service.

Excellent experience from first contact all the way through drop off. Alex got me set up via LIVE CHAT!! He was very police and professional. He walked me through the whole set up process!!

My driver, RYAN provided excellent communication. He arrived to pick up my vehicle within 5 minutes of his estimated arrival time. Ryan drove over 400 miles to our drop off location. AND he arrived within minutes of his estimated arrival time!! Ryan was professional, polite and RIGHT ON TIME!! Ryan communicated directly with my husband at pick up. Then Ryan communicated directly with me to coordinate the drop off time! We probably drove the poor man crazy!! Through it all RYAN was a terrific guy!!

Thank you Montway for transporting my three vehicles from California to Texas. The entire step by step process was flawless on all accounts. The fees were reasonable with no updated prices change I experienced with the moving company of my personal items. The father-son duo were very professional and took care with loading and unloading of my vehicles. I was giving contact information to reach the driver at anytime. I was told the date of my delivery which ultimately arrived a day earlier. Thanks Montway. I shared my happiness with a friend who should be contacting your company soon.

Montway Auto Transportation Company provided great customer service, and my truck was picked up on the same day I called to make reservations. The driver was very nice, courteous, and professional. He took pictures of my truck, and gave me a receipt. My truck made it to my hometown safe, with no scratches, or damages. I picked up my truck just the way I dropped it off to the drover. Their previous online ratings and customer reviews are exactly what it says…RELIABLE and TRUSTWORTHY!!!!! If I had to do it all over again Montway is the company I’d go with no doubt!!!!

I shipped my car from Washington state to Missouri. I requested a dedicated pickup date as well as a top-load option. The initial pickup by the local company went well. I never received any update on my vehicle during transit and when I called to inquire I was told I'd get an email update which never arrived. When my vehicle arrived it was FILTHY - I found out that the vehicle was NOT on a top load. To add to the frustration the truck driver used dry paper towels to wipe my vehicle in multiple areas undoubtedly causing scratches. When I confronted the driver he simply said "what's the matter? Just wash the car!" Can you believe it? How unprofessional and arrogant! How Montway can allow these types of carriers to partner with them in unbelievable. Now Montway says they are not liable for any damages and I have to file with the carrier - Wasn't Montway the initial carrier??

Highly disappointed with this so-called "premium" service. Although customer service is generally responsive I cannot recommend this company based on my experience.

My car arrived on the date that was given to me. The car was in great shape. The driver was very helpful and friendly. I have no complaints on your company and the transport cross country. The only thing that was inconvenient for me was the pick up in New York. The driver didn't get to my house till 1am. The driver was very nice and polite and felt bad about the late hour. I didn't get any notification that the pickup was going to be that late. I would have liked to had better communication.

I own my own towing business for 36 years. It was convenient for me to go pick up my new vehicle in Ohio. I called Montway and they sent george from Nordic Transport to do the job. Montway from the very first call until dropped at my door in New Jersey was perfectly on point each step of the way. They did not know that I owned my own towing business until the job was complete. I had very high expectations when hiring someone to do a job for me that I have been doing professionally for close to 40 years. They exceeded every part of the service I expected. I would use them again without hesitation, also I will be recommending them for any jobs that I cannot do. Montway is simply the best!

Pickup and delivery were easy to schedule. The driver was friendly, considerate of our college student’s needs, chose an easy access place for pick up. He was careful in inspecting the car at pickup, kindly pointing to any defects as he marked them on the auto diagram on the pickup sheet. We were able to send needed college room necessities in the car as long as they weighted less than 100 pounds and were below auto windows and covered to discourage possible theft. This was so helpful!!

Gratefully, the driver chose a safe place to deliver the auto within walking distance for the college student.

The car arrived in the same condition it was at pickup. Contents intact! It was well worth the price to have car transported in the middle of severe snow storms and COVID issues. The cost of transportation ($1,350.00 by credit card) versus the cost of gas, added mileage and increased maintenance, COVID exposure while driving, and the possibility of an accident during the long drive from CA to MI during snow storms made cross country transportation a good option. This company was great!!

The driver provided his direct cell phone number and was available for updates and answered any questions. So happy we used this company!!

I debated whether to put ONE star, but chose two because Montway did put forth some effort. This is just my story, but I feel like I need to put it out there for others looking to ship their car.

I was well aware Montway is just a broker. The actual company that brought me my car did a great job. My issue is with the "transparency" Montway says they strive for.

I requested a quote to ship my daughters car from the east coast to the west coast. Was quoted $1659. I agreed to this price and signed a contract.

On day 6 from my first requested day of pick up, I received an urgent message to contact Montway.

I'm informed they found a carrier, but the cost would be $490 MORE! I argued until I was blue in the face that I had a signed contract for $1659, but now they wanted $2149!! They told me it was the carrier asking for more money (because of low demand) and if I didn't want to pay it, they would have to start the search all over again, which would take "weeks" and there would still be NO WAY my original price would be picked up by anyone! So now that my daughter is back in CA and her car is stuck in MA, I felt like I had no other option than to agree. We needed the car back! After much more arguing and several more phone conversations, they took $100 off.

So the car was picked up and I was told 7-10 days for delivery.

On day 11, I received a phone call saying the car was JUST NOW leaving MA! So it sat somewhere for 11 days!!!

We received the car 7 days later (on a carrier FULL of cars)

I then started the process of trying to get back the remaining $390 because of the original contract I signed.

I was repeatedly informed that the contract is "transparent" and says the cost is an estimate. I have read the contract I signed six times, and it does NOT say that. Why in the world is a contract signed if not for the price quoted on it??! Then I'm told it doesn't say in the contract that the price is firm...but this is why there is a contract that I sign, right?!

I'm offered another $100 off and am told there is absolutely no way they can provide the entire refund and are not in the capacity to do so. I finally gave up. So I'm very disappointed and feeling taken advantage of.

Just be aware, the price you sign for on the contract is just an ESTIMATE. It may be the price you pay, or you may get to pay a lot more.

I moved a car from DC to DFW. I did one day of research, chose Montway because of good, competitive price along with very positive reviews. Made decision on Sunday with Tuesday scheduled pick-up. Transport was able to meet me at my house in DC. Then transit to DFW area was two days with drop-off at my driveway. There was good communication, I had the number of the driver to coordinate pickup and delivery. It was very smooth and I would not hesitate to use Montway again or recommend them as well.
