Zapf Umzüge

Ich habe 2021 Zapf mit Abholung und Lagerung beauftragt. Der erste Teil die Abholung lief Reibungslos, mit der Einlagerung begann das Malheur.

Als nach 6 Monaten das Lagergut an neue Adresse ausgeliefert werden sollte, stieg der Kostenvoranschlag um 100%, die beiden Mitarbeiter waren mit dem Ausladen restlos überfordert, zogen eine weisse Ledercouch über Betonplatten und beschädigten natürlich das Leder. Auch waren sie mit den Nackenstützen des Sofas überfordert, anstatt sie sachgerecht bis zum Endpunkt anzuheben bevor sie abgesenkt werden können, versuchten sie diese mit Gewallt herunter zu drücken. Ausserdem fehlten 3 Kartons, angeblich wurden sie aber mit ausgeliefert, seltsamerweise habe ich aber alle Deckenlampen neu kaufen müssen, diese waren nämlich in den fehlenden Kartons.

Die nächste Überraschung kam mit dem Auspacken.

6 Monate wurde das Umzugsgut offenbar derart fachmännisch gelagert dass die Sitzflächen des Sofas durchgebrochen waren (obwohl 4 Monate vor dem Umzug fachmännisch aufgepolstert), Standfuss des TV Geräts abgebrochen wurde und zu meiner grössten Freude im Lager offensichtlich Kleidermotten die besten Bedingungen vorfanden um sich zu vermehren. In der Summe verlor ich 5 Anzüge, mehrere Wollhosen und weitere 5 Woll- Rollkragenpullover. Die Plage hat sich dann auch unbemerkt in der neuen Wohnung festgesetzt, so das ich ein weiteres Jahr einen Raum nicht benutzen konnte weil die Motten ständig auftauchten, weitere 3 Anzüge gingen mit ihnen.

Ich kann von einem Unternehmen, das auch auf seiner Internetseite jede Verantwortung und Bereitschaft zu einer Mediation ablehnt, sich weigert mit Verbrauchergruppen zusammen zu arbeiten, gleichzeitig aber vollmündig 11 Grundsätze/Qualitätsversprechen zu publizieren nur abraten.

Dummerweise muss man aber auch feststellen dass der Gesetzgeber solchen Unternehmen frei Hand lässt, wer kann es schon schaffen innerhalb von 24 Stunden eine Mängelliste zusammenzuschreiben, wen er mitten im Umzug steckt und erstmal Ordnung reinbringen muss. Auch ein Merkmal dieses Unternehmens ist es, Beschwerden niemals erhalten zu haben, gleich auf welchem Weg, selbst Einwurfeinschreiben werden vor Gericht geleugnet.

Furniture assembly not professional, but idiotic, in the wrong order; without renewed dismantling, somehow attempted to assemble with force, resulting in visible damage. Furniture soiled by black machine grease and other dirt. Deep scratches and damaged corners on furniture from dragging over dirt and stones. Carpet and other things that cannot be cleaned with gasoline can only be disposed of and replaced. Consequential damage to laminate from soiled boxes and furniture from pebbles and grease on the underside of the removal goods.

Service cost: €2499

Expensive and bad - that's my experience with zapf. Washing machine connected incorrectly, a large scratch in the wall and dents in the parquet (in a newly renovated apartment!) - unfortunately discovered too late, so tap is out and I can renovate again at my expense. The additional (very) used boxes were billed to me as new and assembly work that was not performed. The invoice was corrected after the complaint, but the impression remains. I do NOT recommend this moving company to anyone.

Today we moved with our children, everyone back to his apartment, and we are full of praise.
Everything perfect. The boxes haven't been unpacked yet, but I think everything's fine there too. Too many boxes delivered were taken away and charged.
Three nice and courteous men and a man from Eritrea as an assistant, also nice, humble and friendly.
I can only say that everything went smoothly and that the Hülsta cupboard, among other things, was perfectly dismantled and assembled. That was the most important thing.
Thank you for the relaxed move. That was our last, apart from the box that goes underground, because we are 74 and 64 years old, otherwise gladly again with Zapf.

I am extremely disappointed with the Zapf company.
Things got mixed up when packing.
Much not properly wrapped up. Speak in paper or foil.
When picking up, it's a terrible mess.
Things that shouldn't go with you, and vice versa.
The tone of some of the employees was under all hell.
Also towards us.
The admission was a disaster.
Things were stuffed into the cupboards almost at random.
Part of it disappeared.
Then reappeared later.
After I was assumed, maybe I hid it in my bed drawers?
Some of my things have suffered too, which I will take care of.

On May 23rd, 2018 I moved with zapf umzüge Berlin within Hennigsdorf. Everything worked out wonderfully, my furniture was properly dismantled, stowed on the truck and set up in the new apartment according to my wishes. Furthermore, new furniture and a kitchenette were installed, which turned out to be very time-consuming. Nevertheless, the employees remained friendly and always had a suitable solution for the various impassable areas. On the second day, some remaining work was done and the boxes that had already been unpacked were taken back with them. I can definitely recommend this company and would always move with zapf. Trainees were also deployed when I moved and they were also very motivated, friendly and helpful. Keep it up !!

The moving truck from the company Zapf from Freiburg was there punctually early in the morning. The team of 6 worked well together and worked together harmoniously and sensibly. All team members were friendly and helpful and ready to do little extra services. The cupboards and shelves were properly dismantled and reassembled, the stove, dishwasher, washing machine, refrigerator professionally dismantled and reassembled. At around 3:30 p.m., the entire move from one house to a 3-room apartment on the 5th floor with elevator was already done! We only had to unpack and put the things out of the boxes again. We were able to return the company's own cardboard boxes for 1 euro each to the company's headquarters in Freiburg. We can warmly recommend moving with this company. G. uM W., Staufen.

We moved to Frankfurt with the Zapf company. A total catastrophe ... totally unorganized, unfriendly and poor knowledge of German. When packing and unpacking all items were not handled with care. Walls were dirty and the newly laid parquet was fogged up. If you asked the employees about the damage that had just occurred, you only got a sloppy answer that there was nothing and that you shouldn't be in such a way. In addition, some furniture was not packaged properly, so that many pieces of furniture with visible scratches were returned. Here you get 70 euros from the insurance company for a 3000 euros branded cabinet, with which you cannot even buy a refurbishment or spare parts. Our chairs were also temporarily stored somewhere where it was damp, so that there were rust stains everywhere. No response from Zapf. That we all regulated by their insurance. The clearing of the apartment also didn't work at all. It wasn't even written down which cupboard what was put in or the contents of the kisren were simply tipped into the appropriate drawer. I cannot recommend the company ..

Five very young men came to my mother's move. Her things were stowed in the truck within 45 minutes. The drive to the new apartment takes about 5 minutes - I waited a good 30 minutes. Presumably a lunch break was taken - which is absolutely OK. is, but should be communicated to the customer. When we finally arrived, we first had a cozy smoke - as I said, they came from the break, so that could have been done by now ..
Then it was very motivated to unload - every boy took ONE part and carried it into the apartment ... so, a cabinet shelf, a chair, a box ... They no longer knew which parts belonged to which furniture, they worked in a discreetly uncoordinated manner and without a recognizable system .
After all, it only took them an hour. That's the best I can say about this move, unfortunately.
I would probably choose another company next time.

I have commissioned Zapf to move overseas (Berlin-Valparaiso-Santiago). The part to Valparaiso went very well.

The sub from Zapf in Chile (ALS MOVERS S.A.) requested an advance payment of the equivalent of 2,000 EUR for the port handling before the ship entered Valparaiso. That came as a surprise to me. Only an amount of around EUR 1,000 was announced. I finally transferred the requested amount because I was afraid that ALS would otherwise provoke a delay in clearance in the customs warehouse and thus increase my costs. When settling the flat rate after almost 60 days, ALS charged storage costs in the port of Valparaiso for 5 days according to the customs warehouse's tariff list = approx. 524 EUR. ALS could not prove these costs, because there was no invoice and that in Chile where there is an invoice for everything !!

My research showed that the container was only in the bonded warehouse for 1.7 days. This storage was also free. The rest of the time, the container stood somewhere until 5 days had passed and the advance payment was almost used up due to the high storage costs. Then the container was delivered to Santiago.

My complaint to Zapf remained unanswered in the end. Zapf just let me down, even though Zapf was solely responsible for selecting the freight forwarder in Chile. My complaints to ALS also came to nothing.

The damage amount is too low for a lawyer to proceed. The local actors probably also know that.

It remains for me to tell other customers about my experiences and warn them not to pay in advance, especially abroad, and to anchor this in writing on behalf of the German freight forwarder !!

Relocation in November 2018 from southern France to Berlin, with one month's temporary storage of the container in Freiburg, then in December 2018 delivery in Berlin.
The deadlines were reliably kept, the price was moderate, but something was missing in the delivery. The numbered boxes were all there, not some boxes / things that were hastily put away at the end.
I have expressed my disappointment to Zapf in writing, but have not received any reaction.
I advise everyone who hires a shipping company - even with a locked container - to pack "in good time", to record everything in writing, to take photos of valuables.

I had good experiences with Zapf in the past and therefore hired them several times, both for private and for business moves. They were never cheap, but they were more reliable than many others. Since the death of Klaus Zapf in 2014, Zapf has unfortunately dropped significantly in performance. Unprofessional, unclean, insincere - only lawyers really work here, with whom you will inevitably find yourself in a legal dispute after moving. In addition to destroyed removal goods and damage to the apartment, theft by employees is now unfortunately not uncommon. I advise against hiring Zapf, quality is not (anymore) on offer here and you can get even poorly executed removals much cheaper elsewhere.

After we had a good ZAPF move a long time ago in the family, mother of the same entrepreneur was "ordered" from Münster to Berlin at the end of 2019.

Pack and collect:
Neat, quick, professional, hard-working. Communication, behavior, etc. exemplary. It goes without saying that we had provided coffee and water the other way round.
Everything was well packed and secured on the vehicle.

Delivery, assembly of furniture and moving goods to the apartment:
Another team. Otherwise I can only repeat every word about packing.

The deadlines for collection and delivery were met.

No damage, no loss, no missing items.

The agreed budget was adhered to, no hidden costs or additional claims were made.

Service cost: €2300

When packing in Berlin some were "carelessly" packed (the main thing is fast). When unpacking the boxes, we discovered several pieces of glass (including a large vase) and damage to a floor lamp. Since we had to unpack over 100 boxes, we only noticed the glass damage several days after the move, so we wrote a complaint email 5 days after the move. Too late, according to Maxim Consult on behalf of Zapf. We should have reported this damage no later than the day after the removal goods were delivered. Over 100 boxes that have to be unpacked the next day at the latest ??
Plants that are probably not insured would also have had to be wrapped in bubble wrap by Zapf because they were in the truck overnight and froze to death due to frost during the night.

Service cost: €4500

Never again! Paid 5 people, including 1 temporary worker / Indian. Work is not his thing. Incorrect / improper transport of partly high quality furniture: panels were placed on top of one another - scratches. Pack service: listlessly put everything in a box, done. You didn't feel like packing more boxes and walking more (DG without elevator). The bubble wrap was not used. But billed. Very long breaks, although max. 30 min. are approved according to the contract. The highlight is the insurance from MAXIM Consult: total value of 20,000 euros. But it is of no use if colleagues incorrectly pack the TV and it then breaks. BECAUSE: there is a maximum of 620 euros / cubic meter. TV set almost as good as new brought 102 euros as regulation. According to the reasoning, you could have taken out extra insurance.
So: Stay away from ZAPF - also because of the insurance behind it.

zapf Freiburg (zett-umzuege) managed our combined move from Basel via Freiburg (2nd apartment) to Münster reliably, quickly, without problems and very pleasantly.
The move of almost 40m3 (2 households from 2nd & 1st floor to 1st floor) was carried out to our full satisfaction.

The company guided us through all formalities in a reliable and helpful manner in advance and kept us up to date at regular intervals.
The actual move also ran with regular information (traffic jam report / arrival).
We would rein with the company and especially with this team at any time.

Attention, warning to all potential Zapf customers. Before concluding a contract, you should be 100% sure that you have proof of purchase and / or report / current value for every piece of furniture (including antique heirlooms) in the event of damage. Otherwise your claim will be ironed out by the "Maxim Consult GmbH" commissioned by Zapf and you will be "led behind the spruce". You should also know that all Zapf employees who help with a move are not authorized to make statements; not even the employees authorized to collect.

We have already ordered several removals and additional loads from Zapf. But woe betide you have a claim. Even if the damage is recognized on site by employees and recorded in writing, it is of no use to you; the only thing left here is going to court.

We had to move many times professionally and Zapf is truly the worst moving company ever!
Since it is such a large company and we have bought higher quality furniture over the years and this even had to be stored for months, I thought Zapf was the right choice.
The storage went well and the team was flawless, I have to admit, but when the 3 containers were emptied, the first thing we noticed was that one of the other pieces of furniture had been stored incorrectly and was damaged as a result.
I was told right away that I didn't have to worry as the damage would be replaced and that calmed us down, of course.
Unfortunately, I am still arguing with the insurance company and I deeply regret that I did not withhold any money.
The worst is yet to come, namely the fitters have 5 wall cupboards in which the children's books are stored only fastened with simple screws, i.e. they didn't use dowels and thought it would hold loose.
It didn't leave me in peace because, as I said, we have moved many times and no fitter has attached anything without dowels and one day later I asked our drywall builder and he was shocked.
Zapf came forward with 150 € and the employee was extremely embarrassed.
We had double the work, clearing out tons of books, dismantling cupboards, etc.
In addition, the lamps in the house were placed at an angle, so that my husband has to answer them again.
In our kitchen (Nolte) too much was accidentally sawed off and that was not commented on.
So all in all we can only advise against Zapf and we could have saved the 11,000 € (without storage fee) !!

In retrospect, I still can't believe how badly Zapf handled the move. No more comparison to the same company from a few years ago that I had already commissioned! The employees are demotivated - the leader of the column said to me that they wanted to leave by 4 p.m. at the latest - and that at a price of almost 5,000 euros. Unloading was also intolerable. 3 men, two drivers for two containers. Allegedly, one would not have known that some of the things would have to be saved in the memory (i.e. incorrectly declared). I then helped myself in order to have almost 50 boxes in the yard at the end, because there was still another appointment. Two family heirlooms were badly damaged by employees of the Zapf company. The move was in March of this year - it is now October and the damage has not yet been replaced. A broken marble slab of one of my great-great-grandfather's washbasins was glued together in a makeshift manner (I thought they were kidding when the glued plate was delivered), the damage to a damaged wall clock from 1934 has not been regulated at all, and all this despite the liability certificate. It is only ever promised that someone would call back! Never again - I'll get a lawyer now!
