US Express Relocation

Beware when you hire US Express Relocation services. I hired them to move over the weekend after Thanksgiving. I know that it was a holiday weekend, so before I booked the company, I asked several people, including the owner, if they would be open and willing to move my furniture the weekend after Thanksgiving. The owner, John, assured me that they would be able to move my furniture.

Well, I received a call and was asked to change my moving date to Sunday, November 19th. Luckily, I was able to change the date. The movers picked up my furniture on November 19th, and I was told that my furniture would be delivered the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. Long story short, I didn’t get my furniture until December 1st. I was livid. I was not contacted nor notified of my delayed delivery date. I kept calling everyday for an update. After my furniture was picked up on November 19th, I was never given a firm delivery date. They changed my delivery date three times. My total balance due was nearly $500 more than what I was quoted.

If you like to be in control and want the ability to track your furniture, run away from this company. This is not the company for you. If you don’t care when your furniture arrives, go ahead and choose this company. I will never use them again. It was too much stress everyday to worry about my furniture delivery. The best part about this company are the movers. The actual movers are self-employed contractors. They constantly have to deal with angry customers, while the owner sits in his office and collects a check. I feel bad for the moving guys. They do not deserve to be the ones who endure and interact with angry customers.

The sad part is, if Us Express Relocation had just been honest and upfront about their company imposed flexible delivery date policy, I could have made a more informed decision on which company to choose. They took away my choice, by giving me misleading information about company moving policy and operations policy. Us Express Relocation needs to be honest upfront and state that they really have no control on delivery dates.

Move size: 1 Bedroom Home Service cost: $2300

The company said they would send 6 guys to my home and move all my stuff from one home to the other home in one day with two trucks. When moving day came they arrived at late in the evening and only 4 guys came and one of the two trucks had someone else's stuff on it. They took three days to do what they did and didn't get all my stuff causing my wife (I was in Alaska for work so she was forced to handle all this with our 4 boys by herself) to have to rent a uhaul to finish the job. The moving guys caused damage to both the home we exited and the brand new home we moved into. They damaged the hardwood floors, put holes in the walls, stuffed the walls, broke light fixtures, chipped baseboards, broke some of our things and we are missing items. This is the worst move I have ever had even after 22 years of military service none of my moves were ever this bad.

I had to move out of state quickly and this referral  to US EXPRESS LOCATION , located out of Norcross, Ga came my way. Lesson number one..If your binding estimate looks good it doesn't mean ANYTHING!  I asked for a binding contract.  I have moved over a dozen times in 15 years and this is by far the worst moving experience I ever had. My binding agreement  included stairs at pick up and delivery, etc.. and drop off at storage location. It started bad when BEN who took my order  told me "that there were no hidden fees"  in our agreement after we discussed and confirmed all. Then at pick up he   told me  that my quote now would be thousands more, knowing I was moving out of state the next day.I walked and he came down some. I was basically held hostage. Several items were not packed and broken even BEFORE being put in the truck. Many of the items that were labeled for OUT OF STATE were not on the delivery truck to Miami and were indeed  put  in Atlanta Storage space, I  found out later after delivery. I was promised a delivery date that was 5 days late. Finally  after no notice, they  wanted to delivere  late on Sunday and I wanted to wait until Monday as a result. They declined and said it would cost me $750 a day to hold. READ YOUR FINE PRINT!! I couldn't believe it. On top of that, they charged me another fee for shuttle which we discussed with the contract. I had it arranged for the van to drop off right in front of my apt and next to an elevetor to first floor, even though we had arrange for one flight of stairs at delivery with agreement. WRONG! They wanted more in cash before drop off. UNBELIEVEABLE!! I called customer service only to have it be BEN. Ben handles it all! I asked repeatly who is the owner. I find out later that BEN is the owner. THis is a NOT a good reputable professional moving company. This is a small "shady" operation. I am filing a claim for my damages goods. I hopeI receive it  but I am not convenient that I will. BEWARE!! Moving is stressful enough without having the moving sharks eat you alive.

This is the worst moving company ever! I hired them to move me from South Carolina to Seattle and it was the worst experience. They were a week late picking my stuff up 8/23 and delivered my stuff a month after my projected delivery date 9/22. Not once did they call to update me on the status of my move, I had to call them multiple times. Most of the time they wouldn't answer but when Ben did answer he was a complete a**hole. To top it off, they lost 2 huge canvas paintings and damaged some of my things. I'm not even going to file a claim because I'm sure it won't work out in my favor. Pay a little more and hire a professional not these idiots.
Don't be fooled by the fake 5 star reviews. The negative reviews are spot on!

Service cost: $1500

I hired US express relocation in Aug from SC to Atlanta. They lured with a cheap quote and false promises and took the $200 deposit immediately and rescheduled my move to a day later (sunday) because of their truck route. I had only sunday to move out and start a new job in Atlanta with my current lease ending the same day. The actual drama now starts.. I confirmed the day before move out if everything is confirmed and John the consultant said everything is as per schedule at 9 am. I called john next day at 9 am and he asks me if I can reschedule and truck is under repair and wont be able to pick up until tuesday. He hung up saying he need to make phone calls to check other trucks availability and gradually stopped attending my calls. he gave his dispatch guy number and he was so rude and asked me not to bother John with Phone calls. They did not even bother to call and tell me they won't be able to pick up on the scheduled day until I reached out to them. I somehow managed myself with some guys from Craigslist to move out that day. Next day I called John for my deposit and he said he will process but did not see them for weeks. After some repeated calls he warned me one day If I call him again he will cancel the deposit. Couple months later I got hold of another dispatch guy and he was kind enough to look into my case and returned back my deposit.

Service cost: $1080

This company has been nothing but a real thorn in my side with my move from Atlanta, GA to New York, NY. They had given me a great quote, but then more then tripled the price when the move was initially completed, and only after a full on shouting match did they reduce the price a little bit. they also festroyed a good deal of items from my move, as well as, did not deliver additional items. I then filed a claim against them and was rewarded a claim amount, which I have still not been ale to collect from the company. This company has not returned the over 6 messages I have left regarding the status of my claim check. STAY AWAT from this company at all costs, as they are a total rip off. Ben the owner of Social Moving Group is a complete scammer!!
