U Pack

Moving all the way across the country is a big deal. And there are so many moving companies out there, so I wasn't sure which one to pick. Luckily, I ended up with U-Pack and I'm extremely happy with that decision!

The move went perfectly and the whole process, from start-to-finish, was a breeze. I used their ReloCube for my 1-bedroom move from the East Coast to the West Coast.

Here's a rundown of what happened from beginning to end:

1) They provide you with an instant, online quote that stays true during the entire move with no extra charges or hidden fees.

2) Communication is flawless; they stay in constant, immediate contact with you via text through each step of this process.

3) The ReloCube was dropped off at my old address right on time! The driver was very nice and I had a great time chatting with him.

4) I took my time moving everything into the ReloCube, which only took a couple of days. I then scheduled for it to be picked up.

4) Make sure you have your very own lock on the ReloCube and the driveway or street around it is clear once they pick it up.

5) The ReloCube is on it's way! They don't actually charge you until it starts making it's way across the country.

6) The ReloCube arrived at the new address on time! I took my time unpacking everything. I then scheduled for the empty ReloCube to be picked up.

7) Another amazing driver came by, on-time, to pick it back up.

10 out of 10 for the service, convenience, and overall experience. I highly recommend U-Pack!

Everything was smooth. Drop offs and pick ups were on time and as scheduled with great customer service.

I highly recommend that after parking the trailer where you want it, open both doors to ensure they can fully open and ask the driver to pull out the ramp to ensure it works and to check the clearance between the ramp and your house so if you encounter any issues it can be fix before the driver unhook the trailer and leave. There’s a fee for them to come back and move the trailer or check the ramp.

Luckily for me the ramp was messed up and I didn’t have to pay for them to return and fix the issue.

It was a great experience moving with U-Pack. We moved from Pennsylvania to Florida (Aug 2022) and everything was intact and in place. The separate loaders we hired packed it up to the roof and we ourselves tied ropes and cords at the end. There were some scratches and scrapes on the furnitures but it’s because we didn’t wrap the parts with plastic wraps.

We reserved 14’ of the 28’ truck but actually used only 10’. They adjusted the charges to reflect the lesser cf. Customer service is great with helpful and responsive people on the origin and destination locations and also in the central office.

The only negative comments I have are these. The bulkhead mechanism was stuck we couldn’t open or close it ourselves. Also it was made of wooden board, which was very heavy and cumbersome. The good thing is the driver was very nice to do it himself for us. This happened in the origin and destination locations. They could make the bulkhead lighter and easier to manipulate for people to operate. Also the ramp was very heavy and separate we couldn‘t put it down or up ourselves. Again the drivers came to the rescue. They could make the ramp easier to operate lIke the pullout ramp they have from the other companies. With the bulkhead and the ramp issues we had, that left our belongings in the truck unsecured for a couple of days.

Just a note to those looking for moving options using container truck, it requires a longer driveway (about 41’ including the ramp clearance) or if using the street that it would not block fire hydrant or the neighbor‘s driveway or property since it will be parked for a couple of days. Also some HOAs do not allow freight truck inside the community.

Overall I’m satisfied and happy to use U-Pack and would recommend it.

Used U-Pack to move from UT to NC.

I wanted to share what an incredible experience we had with the U-Pack moving company! First of all, it was so difficult to find a company that was legit and not trying to get as much money as possible from us. Several of the companies asked for up to $2000+ up front before they even did anything. We finally settled on U- Pack. They were so awesome to work with and didn't require payment until right before our trailer was delivered to our new home.

•It was easy to get a quote. You didn't have to get on the phone with anyone.

•They were pretty inexpensive! Others quoted us for $2000+ more for less space or were priced similarly but having to drive the truck and pay for gas on top of that.

•We used their trailer option rather than their pods. The trailer was less expensive but also we had no idea how much room we needed so we guessed and were given a quote for that amount. That quote included all fees. No other hidden costs. Then if you use more space they charge you so much per foot and if you use less, they take that money off your quote. You only pay for the space you need!

•They don't mix households in each trailer. So they have only our stuff in the trailer, even though we only used about 2/3 of the trailer. We then put up a wall and locked it with our own lock. They said if anything else gets put in the back of the trailer, it would be like a pallet of clothes for Walmart or something, not someone else's things.

•U-Pack had wonderful customer service. Very kind and helpful when I had questions.

•They also had a tracker on your truck, so we followed it from city to city the whole time.

•This is pretty much unheard of, but our truck arrived early!! They gave me an estimated delivery window of three days and it arrived TWO days before the window even started. They kept it at their distribution center until we actually got to our house.

Overall we were very impressed and would recommend them to anyone!
