Long-distance move from Leander, TX to Tucson, AZ

Terrible move.

The Austin franchise recently moved me from Austin to Tucson Az.
But at the end of the day I saw a lot space was not being used (last two feet at top of the load) all the way back in the truck. Then as it got really dark they said they could not take all the stuff. I complained but had to leave some really expensive stuff. Upon arrival in Tucson they opened the truck and some things had shifted (from poor loading practice) and revealed plenty of room for the stuff left behind. I complained profusely to the company but they would not move the rest of the stuff making up a lot of phony excuses that won't hold water in a court of law. But they are banking on my not getting a lawyer and such. I am disabled or I would go back and rent a small truck and do it myself but still they should pay for the move - they won't. They accepted before the move that a 26foot truck would take all the items but now say they advised 2 trucks (not true) .

Local move from Fenton, MI to Hartland, MI

Two Men and a Truck, Brighton, MI.

We recently contracted with Two Men and a Truck from Brighton, MI to move my mother from our lower level to her new residence 25 miles away. Our move day happened to be one of the coldest days in the last 50 years. Drago and Austin arrived on time, went right to work after explaining exactly what they were going to do and explaining a couple optional insurance packages in case something was damaged in transit. They were polite and never complained about the weather or that they would have to carry everything out the back door, onto the path I shoveled in the snow, up the hill around the end condo next to us and down the hill out front to the road. They were careful to not walk on our carpet with wet feet and quickly completed the loading process. At the new residence they had to deal with a double set of heavy entry doors and move the contents close to 100 yards to the second floor apartment (there was an elevator, thank goodness). Again, they worked steady and swiftly (Two Men and a Truck charged us by the time, not the weight or distance). Mom's belongings were handled with care, nothing scratched, dented or broken. While they were moving things into the apartment, a third person from Two Men and a Truck stopped to see how the move was progressing and asked us if everything was satisfactory. After the move Nancy at the office called us to see how we felt the move had gone and asked for further feedback. They made the move very easy for all of us while displaying professionalism and concern for our goods and with a desire to make our move as easy for us as possible. I can recommend Two Men and a Truck from Brighton without reservation and they will be our first call when in need of movers again. Oh, and did I mention they came in under budget on the quote they gave us? The other movers we contacted quoted more than double the original quote from Two Men and a Truck, so the actually amount we paid was almost 60% less then the other.

Two men and a truck.

We have moved a lot, both personal an business. Moving is always stressful, nonetheless this was by far the most stressful move of all. Company (two men and a truck) north Miami location initially gave us an estimate of $1500. The crew of three men arrived on time, we had ask for boxes and furniture and electronics to be wrapped. None of this was done, so we had most of our furniture damaged including missing pieces. We wanted them to put our beds together, but they left their tools at old location, therefore that's was not completed due to my charges were already exceeding $2300. The manager Jeramy was not helpful and told my husband not to F.. Call so many times. They settled damage cost for $265. So beware of the carelessness  of this company and buy the extra insurance.

Incomplete move after paying nearly $700.

I regret that my move with the TWO MEN AND A TRUCK(r) yesterday was an extremely dissatisfied, unsuccessful one. I am a firm believer of local business, which was the reason why I chose the TWO MEN AND A TRUCK(r) company over other moving company which costs less. However, the company failed to deliver what they have promised. In fact, it was a nightmare that one can possibly imagine regarding a move.
My move was regarding a 1000 sq.ft two-bedroom apartment (near the Briarwood Mall in Ann Arbor) move to a two-bedroom condo (near the Meijer in Ann Arbor). Upon arrival to my apartment, the two movers had estimated that it would be approximately 4 hours after reviewing the packed boxes and furniture. However, the service or the lack thereof resulted in a total amount of $685.16 ($112 for a service charge; $550.00 for 5.5 hours of labor; $ 23.16 for moving supplies; and tax)  for an incomplete move.
Yes, an incomplete move after spending nearly $700 and 5 1/2 hours. Surprisingly,  my move is still incomplete. Although the movers estimated approximately 4 hour-move from their review at my apartment upon arrival, they were unable to complete the move after 5.5. hours. Because the federal law bans more than 14 hours of work on a given day, they claimed that they could not continue the move.. My old apartment was left with unloaded furniture and boxes; and my new place was left with the partially moved boxes in the foyer of my new place.
Two things that I feel  that I need to inform the company and the potential customers of this company: First, the movers were extremely unprofessional with regard to job: They made poor decisions that the highly professional movers would not made. For example, they chose a loading place to be far away from the apartment building entrance. The movers claimed that it was based on their opinion so that it would not block the traffic around the apartment building, which was against my suggestions based on my observations of my neighbors' moves. I am not sure whether the decision was to extend and add more hours of service, which would result in more service charge. I do not even want to point that the movers were very slow in doing their job (e.g., making decisions what to do next or where to park, and actually moving, which were all charged for) - at times, one mover carried a part/panel of a table (that my five-year old son could lift) for one trip from the truck to my place..You may guess how the move could take many many hours, which the amount of service charge will be based on. I think that it is a work ethics issue as well.
Second, the movers were unbelievably unprofessional in terms of customer service and communication. After observing that the movers were not efficiently engaging in their moving job, I brought my concerns because the way they worked would consume hours and hours in order to complete the job. One of the movers was extremely rude, saying "I can't do all this" or "..that is your 'opinion'..". Throughout the move, I was shocked that the movers were not professionally trained how to interact with customers..Clearly, the movers were not the "Movers Who Care".
Moving could be a hassle with many unexpected circumstances such as weather and construction..That is why you need a 'reliable' moving company so that their expertise would guide through the move so that they could find the most efficient ways to "complete" the job, a move.
My experience with the Two Men and A Truck proved to be a wrong decision -  they were unable to utilize a necessary professionalism to complete the move. I've read some positive reviews, but it may be a hit-or-miss affair - if you are lucky, you may have movers who knows how to move; Or you will have movers who are not good at their job, a move, from this company 'Two Men and A Truck'. I won't hire this company again even if the movers suggested that they would come back another day/time to complete the "incomplete" move.
Guess what - I've learned that this company is not reliable. Now, I need to find a moving company with "Movers Who Care".

Never do Business With This Franchise.

I was helping a friend going through a breakup move her furniture. I called and scheduled Two Men and a Truck (Nashville, TN)for a Monday 2-4 PM move. When they didn't show up or call I called them only to be told that my "real" appointment was for 12 days later on a Saturday. The Operations Manager (who never gave his name) was the rudest, nastiest person I have encountered in years. He insisted that I was to blame for their error and told me that they would not work with me because I was upset. Really?? NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THIS FRANCHISE. I will make it my personal mission to tell everyone in Nashville what a$$hole$ these guys are. And for God's sake, DON'T give them your credit card number because they have yet to respond to my request to cancel my "real" appointment. Go with Zoom Movers.

Damaged items.

I scheduled my move for my 4 bedroom house in Westfield, Indiana to a storage unit in a few miles away in Carmel, Indiana. The quote was $800.00 and I was moved on 2/26/2009, The movers were professional and nice and moved rather quickly. My issue came two years later when I went to move my furniture out of my unit. What I found was very upsetting to me.

They wrapped my china hutch, sectional sofa and chaise lounge. My king and twin size mattresses were not. My king mattress was placed on the floor and received mold and was ruined. I had a very expensive dining room table and a kitchen table that were damaged due to the fact the movers placed very heavy boxes on top of the tables. They both were bowed due to the amount of weight they endured.

I called the Indianapolis office quite a few times and was given the run around. I was told I needed to speak to Dan in claims. I was told he would call me back right away. It was 3 days before I heard anything. The receptionist was very rude and condescending when trying to reach Dan. I explained that I wanted to know what the policy was for moving these items into storage units.

When Dan was finally reached he was no help at all. Did not answer any of my questions. He said that when items are moved they have no idea how long they will be in storage. My simple question was why place such heavy items such as dishes and glassware on two very nice tables and why not take the legs off? There would have been so much more room! If they were in a climate controlled unit they should be treated the same whether they were in the unit 30 days of 3 or more years.

Would never use this company in Indianapolis. I used Two Men in a Truck in Northern Kentucky and was extremely pleased.

One final note, we brought to Dan's attention that the day we moved the contents out of the unit, we were on 465 and passed a Two Men and Truck moving van. The driver was texting while driving. Thought this was illegal in Indiana. Dan didn't seem to care .

Be VERY careful -- painful lesson.

Personally, the service provided by your company was one the worst experiences of my life. After my family was robbed during the move by your company, it has had a horrible affect on our lives. I have a police report (Boone County KY 11-012921) and hope one day they open a full investigation. All of my statements here and the police reports are completely true and I would be glad to testify in court if given the chance. I will take every opportunity I can the rest of my life to tell every family member, friend and stranger how much your company has damaged and hurt my family and I pray that one day the person(s) will understand that because I made a mistake and left valuables/cash accessible does not give them the right to steal. I feel sorry for your company that you have to employ thieves and dishonest people and hope one day the thief that took advantage of my family understands how much pain he caused by his incredibly selfish act.

Sincerely,

Rob B.

Long-distance move from Illinois to Indiana

Avoid these scammers in Valpo.

We arranged a move at an hourly rate and were assured it would take less than 2 hours because we specifically scheduled it during the middle of the afternoon. Instead, the movers were several hours late, outside the promised time range, and rather than ask us or get directions for how to navigate the trip during rush hour, the movers decided to go directly through the Circle (the worst backup spot in Chicago) during rush hour! A simple call could have directed them to an alternate and much faster route. Of course, the trip took nearly twice as long, and they charged us $90 per hour for sitting in rush hour traffic in the Circle. Their reaction to our suggestion that they abide by their bait-and-switch offer to charge us for two hours--not their problem.

Moreover, they put a glass table--the only item we asked them to move--on the ground, chipping the edge. When we asked them to remedy this damage, they pointed to a clause in our contract where we allegedly agreed that the table was worth only $60, so they agreed to pay us only this amount. We would never have agreed that a $2000 table was worth $60, and we would not have hired movers for $300 to move a $60 table! At the very least, their contract was deceptive, but we wonder if they altered the contract after they discovered the table had been damaged.

Attempts to resolve the issue with customer service were totally unproductive. All we wanted was to be charged the $240 they assured us the move would cost (not well over $300) and to have the table repaired for less than $100, which should have been covered by their insurance. Their treatment of our move and our complaint were both shameful.

Greenville, WI, are OUTSTANDING!

Used them in Greenville, WI, three times for intercity moves and they were fantastic and very helpful.  I would use them again in a second! They were very helpful and careful moving out of the duplex and into our new home.  They even did a side trip to drop off some pieces to a local consignment shop.  Their quotation was completely accurate and the friendliest group of workers I know.

Buyer Beware and Find Another Mover!

BUYER BEWARE AND FIND A DIFFERENT MOVER.

THE ASTON, PA FRANCHISE DOES NOT CARE ABOUT THE CUSTOMER.

HATES AND DISRESPECTS WOMEN.

THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED! Although I have hired Two Men and a Truck moving company in the past, my move with them yesterday was a nightmare. One mover (John) did nothing and hid in the truck for four hours T0 PAD THE TIME and got lost for two hours while the other mover was great.
4 hours to load a one-bedroom apartment? When the only furniture was a bedroom set and an easy chair?

John was dishonest, lazy, disrespectful, asked personal inappropriate questions and is the most passive aggressive person I have ever met. He seemed to enjoy dragging his feet and not carrying anything heavy - letting poor Nate do about 95 percent of the work.
Ben in the office was very nice to me and tried to help John find the storage facility. John got lost for 2 hours!.When I tried calling Ben again, a "Mike" at the Aston office was extremely rude and unprofessional to me.

Moving NIghtmare x 10.

This whole move with two men and a truck has been the worse nightmare for me and many times worse then that. After spending days carefully packaging all my materials to ensure that they my property was safe, I decided to enlist the help of two men and a truck to move my boxes for me. They also had a benefit to me where they had a storage that I would be able to use temporarily until my moving place was finalized and I could get everything moved in. My new home would not be ready for 2 weeks, in which I decided to go ahead and pay for a month of storage to help their business. After 8 hours of packing we finally got the moving truck filled and proceeded to their "storage." upon arriving at the storage, it had already looked somewhat abandoned being out and surrounded by abandoned buildings, but I shrugged off my worries mainly due to the fatigue of spending countless days preparing for this move. We unloaded all the boxes into the "storage" , and it was locked with a key which I had no access to and would be unable to access my stuff until there was an available company representative. I breathed a sigh of relief and left to finally go crash after days and days of exhaustion. The nightmare would soon come. The following day at 4PM in the afternoon I received a VOICE MESSAGE stating that the storage had caught fire the previous night. Not only did they not let me know of this right away, they had the nerve to not contact me until the following day!! I was dumbfounded how a business franchise could operate under these kind of regulations. I immediately called to pull out all my belongings out of the storage, but was told that none of my belongings were damaged and I would not be able to take them out until there insurance representative overlooked the building. Of course I was very worried about my belongings but they ensured that the building was now "secure," and my worries were unfounded. I learned how much of a lie this was the following day when they stated that the building had been vandalized that night  and some of it may include my belongings..Not only was there vandalism of my belongings, but I learned that the fire had destroyed many of my items including furniture, books, etc.  To this point I have lost thousands upon thousands worth of belongings yet, they had the audacity to offer me $1000 in re compensation which would only cover the cost of me paying to have my belongings moved to there storage. This has been the worst move I have ever been a part of or even been witness to and Two men and A truck are a business of thieves and liars. I would highly Dis-recommend them for any future potential movers as I would hate for anyone to have gone through what I have.

Cross Country Move.

This company was FABULOUS!  The only reason they were one day late from when they said they would be there was because the truck had a mechanical problem in Texas.  Instead of waiting to get the truck fixed the company rented another truck, repacked the truck and showed up on time the next day.  They were very careful with all the furniture and boxes.  It all showed up in perfect condition.  They were polite, courteous and kept in contact every day as to where the truck was.  I am so thankful to this company for making a very stressful situation, comforting in the end!  This particular company was out of Appleton, Wisconsin.

Avoid if at all Possible!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Originally I was loving this company, I had called and made several changes to my move. They were very accommodating and patient with me. I thought this was going to be the best experience ever..but I was wrong!! I received a call from the company the day before indicating that they were changing my move from a 2 man crew to a 3 man crew. I asked if this was going to change the price and I was assured it wouldn't. The day of the move came and I was told that I was the second move of the day and that the first move was scheduled for 2 hours. Therefore I anticipated them arriving at my house by noon at the latest. I called at 11:30 to see if they were running on time and was told that they had no idea when they would arrive. So I waited until 12:30 to call again and was told they would probably be another hour. They arrived at 2:45 pm. The movers were very pleasant and moved all my items without incident. As I was reviewing the paperwork I noticed that the amounts were different (about $70 more), I spoke with the mover and he said he wasn't sure why so I figured I would call on Monday to figure it out. When I called I was told that the estimate was just an estimate and that was for 2 people not 3 so most likely I would've had to pay more. I felt like I was completely deceived, they made the change from 2 people to 3 so why should I have to pay the difference, why wouldn't I be charged the original rate for the length of time? When I asked if the price would change the person didn't say anything about the fact that the rate would increase. They specifically said that NOTHING WOULD CHANGE. I have no problems telling people (ones that I know and random strangers on the street) I wouldn't use this company but if they really want to make sure that they clarify everything and not sign anything until they speak to a person at the company. During a stressful time this is the last thing I needed..if they had just refunded me the $70 I wouldn't be so upset, guess they need the money more than the good review!

Terrible Movers. Will never use this company again.

The two movers sent by Two Men and a Truck did a terrible job. The job took them 13.5 hours when it should have been an 8-hour job at the most. They arrived at 8:30am (on time). We moved from one house to another less than 2 miles away. We used Two Men and A Truck because we had used that company 6 years ago for the exact same pieces of furniture (other than a washer and dryer and a plastic high chair) and had a great experience. Six years ago, it took them 7 hours to do the move and they actually had one additional location to go to at the time and they also moved a dining room set that we no longer own. This time, the two movers were inexperienced and kept complaining and arguing with each other. One of them was not strong at all and constantly complained and asked for guidance from the other because he did not know what to do. They ended up refusing to move two dressers up one flight of stairs at the new house, and did not tell us about that until 9pm. They said the dressers were too heavy. They used a runner and padding against the door frames at the house we were moving out of, but not at the new house. As a result of their dragging furniture on our floor at the new house, they scratched our hard wood floor. They signed a damage report but then apparently they later lied to their boss and said we had refused the use of a runner on the floor of the new house. That's just ridiculous. We did not refuse the use of a runner. They did not at any point ask us any questions about runners or padding to prevent damage. We let them do their job and, if they had asked us if they could use a runner, of course we would have said yes. I was assuming that they would since they had used a runner and padding around the door frame at the house we moved out of.  They had no clue how to move furniture. They did not even remove the drawers from the dressers to make them less heavy and easier to lift. We had to suggest that to them and then remove the drawers ourselves because they did not know how to do it.. They complained their hands were hurting but apparently they did not wear gloves. They took lots of breaks, were on their cell phones, spent time chatting, etc. That's part of the reason why they were there all day. They were constantly arguing with each other over how to carry the furniture. At some point, one of them just lay on the floor of our new house. I guess he was taking a break. Their boss was unprofessional over the phone and dismissed our concerns. We ended up paying for 9.5 hours and now she does not appear willing to fix our damaged floor because she said she has given us enough of a discount as it is and she believes her movers who told her we refused the runner. I felt a bit sorry for the movers on the day of the move because it is true they were there all day, but that was their own doing and it was due to their slacking on the job and their lack of experience. They should not have been doing that job. I no longer feel bad for them since they lied about the way the move took place. I will never use that company again.

Speed of loading, at an hourly rate.

Since the moving companies that my friends/family recommended were already booked, I tried Two Men and a Truck.

The rate was $25 - $35 per hour higher than the recommended movers and took 2 times as long, compared to 3 other experiences.  This was explained as the "selling feature" of Two Men and a Truck, stating that they add extra precautions to ensure safe and damage free cargo arrival at the final destination..odd, since they broke some furniture in the process (to be fair, they are paying to have it repaired).

The quoted estimate was 12-13 hours, but dropped when I said that all boxes would be packed and in the garage waiting, and all furniture disassembled, with no re-assembly required.  The day before, a family member insisted they help and rented a 26 foot self serve truck.  We filled the entire truck with boxes and any remaining large items (except furniture) and moved it ourselves.  This was not calculated in the estimate, so you'd think, less stuff..less time.

The next morning Two Men and a Truck arrived and began to work.  Periodic checks on progress seems discouraging, but figured there is a method to their work.  After a while frustration began to set in, watching work being done, at the rate of hourly paid employees (not by the job employees).  At the end of the day, with the truck emptied and furniture broken, the bill came..8.5 hours for less than half of the house packed/disassembled and waiting for them.  At $95/hour, that's $807.

I guess the lesson learned is; listen to your friends/family and reserve early, since the good companies aren't available last minute.

Very bad experience.

We had the worst experience with the company in our recent move.   From the start, office support was rude and misinformed. However, the sales contact (Scott) assured all our concerns were taken care of. The movers showed up without being informed of the questions Scott had apparently addressed and then charged us for the services Scott had assured were included in the quote.  The center manager, Edy, talked nicely when we demanded to talk to him but never got back to us regarding the rude employee he promised to investigate. Final charges were lower than the estimate but there was no descriptions/ line items provided for the charges. The moving crew assured the office would call us back regarding the damaged furniture as well as the line items and the original weight of the trucks but there is no response yet even after 10 days of the move. The crew was overall was very nice and polite except for one of the four who was actually doing the paperwork. With so much to move, we tried to stay out of the way as much as possible and went with the flow to maintain our sanity but we won't recommend their services to anyone. With the negative surveys sent back with the concerns, no one has bothered to get back to us.

Inept Movers.

I would NOT recommend that anyone use this franchise of 2 Men & a Truck.  I have had previous experiences with this company with no complaints, but DO NOT USE THE TROY FRANCHISE!! I moved in early July using 2 Men & a Truck – Troy franchise (1250 Rankin Dr, Troy, MI 48083).  On the move day the 3 movers showed up a little late to assess the items to be moved.  About ½ hour later the local manager showed up and looked at all out items and indicated that the team should be able to move all the items in 2 loads, at worse 3. While the guys were loading the first haul, we made a comment that more could fit on the truck, but were told to mind our own business, they have been doing this for years, let them do their job.  We should have realized that after the 2nd load (this load also could have been optimized, but we said nothing), that this was going to be a long day.  It was already a drizzly humid day, so the weather as well as the guys not working well with us should have been an indication, but I was still holding out that we would move everything in the 3rd load. When we got back for the 3rd load, the guys haphazardly loaded the truck and (while the truck was so poorly packed, they could have easily fit everything in that load), they indicated that they could not fit any more and that this was their last load, they had another job to get to.  This was along with the comment that everything would not fit in the new house or garage, so they were not going to move it. I had an emotional breakdown at this point.  And my partner called the main office.  After some (not very pleasant) ‘discussion’ with the main office, the team agreed that they would return for a 4th load to pick up the remaining items.  Keep in mind, it was approaching rush hour, and were paying these guys by the hour, so another load over rush hour would easily add 2 hours onto the move charge (which it did). So be it, I said, I need everything moved out of the rental house and into our new purchased house today, no ifs, ands, or buts.  However, in the process of being told to do this, they decided that they would stack the items in the garage so haphazardly, that I could not unload and organize the items by myself and needed help.  They also thought it was a ‘cool idea’ to put our living room couch on the bottom of the stack IN THE GARAGE!! After complaining about this, the manager agreed to send over a couple of guys the following weekend to help me unload the garage, put the couch in the house, and reload the garage so everything could fit WHICH IT DID.  But it was already too late (as I was told) to file a complaint that the couch back (material) was ripped and that 3 items of furniture were scratched pretty bad, since the time limit to file this type of damage complaint is 7 days from the move date, and this was after 7 days.   So they did nothing.  I would NOT recommend that anyone use this franchise of 2 Men & a Truck.  I have had previous experiences with this company with no complaints, but DO NOT USE THE TROY FRANCHISE!!

Awesome move.

We were moving 3/4 of our household from Michigan to Arizona and had scheduled a move with another company three months prior to the move.  In contacting them several times, they had never scheduled a carrier for us, even by the contract date.  We called Two Men and a Truck on a Wednesday afternoon, and Friday Morning, Sam and James showed up on time, and very carefully shrink wrapped the furniture, and loaded everything we wanted to take onto the truck.  I had Sam's phone number so we could keep in contact on the trip out to AZ.  Few little glitches, so to speak.  Our items were overweight, so rather than having us leave some items in Michigan, Sam orchestrated a newer and lighter truck and several wonderful employees there moved all of the items onto the lighter truck for the trip.  Near OK City, Sam experienced a tire blow out and gave us a call.  After that one was fixed, the went a little bit further, and experienced a second one.  Taking off new tires on a new truck and putting retreads was not the best business practice for this company.  But they authorized all new retreads and the rest of the trip was uneventful.  They arrived at our new home [he picked up a second man in Phoenix] and everything was off loaded and placed in it's spot in less than four hours.  They removed the shrinkwrap and made sure everything was fine before they left.  We are totally pleased with their care of our property, and the efficiency they showed.  The scheduler was super in helping us out and should we ever be in a position to recommend a mover, we will not hesitate to strongly recommend Two Men and a Truck.  And NOTHING was damaged in the move!!

Good job!

I wanted to write to you to tell about the excellent service and job performed by Terry and Tony and a third fellow who just started that day. I used Two Men and a Truck to move my daughter into a new apartment. They were prompt and got to work right away. All of the furniture was moved with care. They got my daughter moved into her new apartment in practically no time at all. I would not hesitate to use Two Men and a Truck in the future. Money well spent!

An Unpleasant Experience..

After having a really good prior experience with the Sacramento franchise, my wife and I decided to use the local office for my recent move. What transpired was one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had.

Early in the day, the lead mover got hurt. While I sympathize and understand that these things happen on jobs, it was handled unprofessionally as he basically walked off the job with no communication. The two remaining movers were new to the company and didn’t know how to move any of the furniture in the home. This resulted in a move that took more than 9 hours versus the original estimate of 5-6 hours.

We had several items of furniture damaged during the move, including a hand-made book shelf that my wife and I had built for our son, an antique desk, and our bedroom set. In general the issues were due to lack of care and what seemed to be a lack of experience. The movers also damaged a number of walls and other surfaces during the move into the new house. A number of smaller items were damaged in transit as well.

We voiced our concerns with the company and eventually received a small discount. However, the discount was nowhere near the cost of repairing the damaged items and didn’t appropriately account for the job taking much longer than it should have by their own admission. Dealing with the company was difficult and we continually felt disrespected during the process of trying to get this resolved.

I wasn’t expecting a perfect move, but the number of issues and lack of communication were way beyond what I would consider reasonable. I’m not generally in the habit of posting reviews, but we had such a poor experience that I felt compelled to warn other people. If you’re considering using this company for moving, I would search very hard to find alternatives. If anyone has any specific questions about my experience, I’d be happy to elaborate to help you make a better decision than we did.

Sloppy and Damaging Move.

We trusted Two Men and A Truck with our move and it was a terrible experience. The movers were distracted and slow walked the move which increased the billing, and they didn’t complete the job. They did a lousy job packing furniture in the storage unit, did not separate some furniture with pads, and damaged furniture in the process. Neither the local Charleston office, nor the corporate office will respond to calls or letters. We will definitely not be using Two Men and A Truck for future moves.

Horrible Experience.

I could not imagine a worse company to spend your money with. I have moved several times over the past for years due to my job and have used several other companies, all of which were good experiences. Two Men and a Truck was the complete opposite. The movers damaged my home in multiple places and did not point out any of it and I had to bring it to their attention before they would document anything. The follow up from management is almost nonexistent. I had to call and email many times and it took multiple days if not weeks to get a follow up. I now have to take off work several days and lose wages in order to accommodate their repair vendor. My move was a month ago and I still do not have my repairs completed and have to take off more days off work for the drywall repairs and still don't have the light fixture scheduled for repair. Management will do nothing as far as compensation and basically says "well it could have been worse so sorry about your luck we don't compensate for any of our mistakes.

Local move from Stanardsville, VA to Irvington, VA

So glad we went with Two Men and a Truck from Charlottesville, Va.

The team out of Charlottesville arrived on time and did a fantastic job moving us from the top of a mountain not far from the Skyline Drive to the barely above sea level of the Northern Neck of Virginia. The men were super careful with our belongings; nothing arrived broken or in disrepair. They were extremely courteous and hard working. The day was very hot and the humidity was typical ugh for Tidewater, but these guys were real workhorses! Also, while the moving-out team was hard at work, another gentleman from Two Men arrived to check on their progress; to make sure things were going smoothly, and to see if we had any questions or concerns. Frankly, it blew us away that he came all the way up the mountain to check on things! GREAT company!! (Please note, however, that Two Men and a Truck is a franchise business and they are not all equally excellent. Check around!).

Local move from Burlington, ON to Ancaster, ON

Never use!! So much damage to our home and belongings.

Could not be more disappointed with this company (we used the one based in Burlington, ON). They damaged our dresser by dropping it down a flight of stairs and completely damaged our infant daughter's dresser beyond repair. They also damaged the home we were moving out scuffing the walls and putting holes through them. The movers were completely careless and unprofessional. Making matters worse their customer service after the fact was horrendous. Their solution was to have their own repairman fix our broken furniture and walls but we would have to pay a $150 deductible. Are you kidding me ? After your movers' negligence? Horrendous experience will make sure to warn any friends and family against using them in the future.
