Smart Movers did an excellent job moving our house.  From my first call to the end of the move, Smarts Movers Canada does an exceptional job. Guys were at our location promptly at the time scheduled. They did everything professionally and in an order that made the process most efficient. We had a lot of stuff, they moved us without any damage in a timely manner. The furniture was not only disassembled and wraped, but also unpacked and set up to our satisfaction at the destination. We're highly satisfied with Smart movers, they go above and beyond to make sure the customer is happy. We would definitely use them again and recommend them!

Smart Movers did an altogether superb job for us. I couldn't have asked for a better moving company. Lady on the phone was helpful and considerate. She also called to me the day before to confirm the move, which was very nice and professional.On moving date 3 great guys came with a great attitude and right on time.  From arrival till the finish of the move the crew was careful, kind and efficient. They packed everything with their materials. Not one item they moved was damaged.  All 3 guys worked so hard whole day to make the move go smoothly. They took apart  beds and office desks, after they put them back together. They did a good job putting stuff on their truck, making sure that everything is protected and taking great care with our belongings. Alex who loaded the truck was awesome and made sure all our stuff fit perfectly and were strapped down and padded. We were really impressed with the excellent service that we received.  Smart movers absolutely made my moving experience extremely positive in spite of extreme hot weather conditions. I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking for a reliable and honest moving company.

I have had a very good experience with smart movers.  It was very easy making the reservation with Smart movers and I feel confident not only at this point, but also on the day of the move. Men were very personable, professional and efficient. They came in timely manner, took apart the beds and other furniture, had everything packed that was ready to go. Everything went smoothly and the guys were very careful. They did a real good job. It was straight forward, they promised and they did it.  I actually would recommend them to my family and friends. .

Office staff did a great job quoting me and responding to all my inquiry in a prompt manner. Team of 3 movers arrived on time and were very professional. Movers protected everything, they treated my items and my home with great care, and have awesome customer service as well. From my own experience I found them very committed, skilled, organized and affordable. Overall, I'm very pleased with Smart Movers. Our experience with smart movers was very good. Alex and his crew arrived on time and proved their efficiency and professionalism. Guys were respectful to our belongings. They securely packed and load all our furniture and boxes, they also unloaded and placed the items in our new residence where we wanted. It was a very successful relocation as none of our valuables suffered any damages. Their prices were reasonable and there were no surprises at all. I highly recommend smart movers because our family was impressed with their high quality service, reliability and positive attitude.

I recently moved from Fredericton to Bathurst NB. Smart movers in Fredericton were extremely helpful, well organized and professional from start to finish. I initially reached out at a couple of moving agencies and requested quotes. Smart movers was the quickest to respond and provide me with a detailed quote. I paid the exact price that was initially quoted. They were very precise. I only had to provide the logistical information to the company once and they took care of the rest. The movers were professional and my belongings were moved carefully. I highly recommend this moving company. Thanks so much!!

I needed to move some furniture from my family home in Ontario to my own home in Nova Scotia. Initially, I asked for estimates from many (10 or so) companies and booked with a national company who had great reviews and a good price. However, just days before the move, they cancelled on me. I was really scrambling at that point and hoped some company would be able to arrange this move with only a couple of days notice. I contacted Jeff Smith with Smart Movers in Halifax and he was great!! He made arrangements that fit my schedule. The crew at pick up and drop off were both good -- professional, careful, friendly. Throughout it all, Jeff kept me posted on the progress of things. I also realized that Jeff's initial estimate was the only one I got that included all the fees -- so while it seemed more expensive, it wasn't. And in any case, it was so worth it to have a company who shows up when they say they will!! I have nothing but positive things to say about Jeff, his movers, and Smart Movers.

We booked the move on short notice and Smart Movers were able to accommodate us and move in professional manner. Movers did an excellent job, they were very efficient and careful with our stuff. They wrapped things with blankets for safe relocation. They also took apart our beds and large table, took great attention to details. We were pleased with the sales rep as well, she is friendly and knowledgeable. Overall it was amazing experience and we would definitely recommend them to friends and family.

I used these guys a few weeks ago and it was terrible.

They were rough with our stuff and, just left stuff everywhere in the old house. They didn't bring their own tools, so we had to provide them, and they just left them a mess scattered all over our basement floor! They didn't set anything up for us, they broke a light at our new home, they left a huge dent in our front entry way, they damaged the walls going into the basement, and they complained the entire time. They even drank my pop when they didn't know I was in the next room and then bitched about it being diet (and meanwhile didn't drink any of the drinks we actually set out for them!!)

It was so bad that I'm pretty sure it was just random dudes the company called off Kijiji or something. They had absolutely no uniforms, no tools, nothing. They didn't provide a receipt upon payment either, and told us we would need to phone the next day to request if we wanted one.

It was a small move, from Fenelon Falls ON to Bowmanville ON - about an hour travel. I was living in a small basement apartment with very little furniture: a bed, sofa and love seat, two living room chairs, 55-inch LED TV on a glass-doored credenza/stand. Virtually everything else I packed and boxed myself, taping the boxes and securing them with polypropylene strapping. They did wrap the big items with plastic wrap. In addition, the company was to stop at a self-storage locker 5 minutes away to pick up the remainder of my things, also boxed and packed. About 35 boxes in total. The company was advised several times what was involved and I even sent photos of items to be moved, including the storage locker. It should have been a no-brainer move as I did all the packing.

I was advised that the truck would be at my place between 10 and 10:30 AM - they did not arrive until 11:15. A larger truck than needed, with two movers - one spoke broken English and the other did not know English at all - not sure how they communicated with each other.

The truck leaked oil onto my landlady's driveway and she was quite upset. When I called the company later about this, they advised me to buy an oil drying agent at Canadian Tire and they would reimburse me the cost: $20. I absorbed this cost. It also leaked oil at the destination, but because the driveway was short, the front end of the truck was on the road and leaked oil there, not on the driveway.

The unloading at the destination went smoothly, as I directed them where to put the items in the new house. By about 3:30 pm, the move was completed and I paid them cash for the job. They did not provide a receipt for the money, instead asked my to take a photo of the work order, promising the company would send me an official receipt.

After several days, I called the company about my receipt, which they emailed to me. However, they charged me 8 hours labour which I did not agree with - 11:15 to 3:30 by my calculation was less than 5 hours. In the end, they adjusted the bill to 6.5 hours, presumably to include travel, and refunded me for 1.5 hours via e-transfer.

Overall, I was happy - nothing was dropped or broken. Keep in mind, I did all the packing myself. Would have been better if they spoke English. And if I did not have to ask for a refund after being overcharged. And if the truck did not leak oil.

Scam company that is not professional at all and use every technique to be extremely slow to charge more hours. Hired them to do a move for a 2 bedroom townhouse. They got me a young kid who does nothing but arrange things inside the truck and an old man who does all the work. Took them from 9 am till 5 pm to pack everything inside the truck and 4 hours to unload in my new house. 11 hours of moving!! Wanted to charge full rate when they arrived at my new place and said we estimate it will take 4 hours to unload. They threatened to keep my furniture in their truck until I paid the full amoubt before they started unloading. They damaged my stairs without telling me and I found out 2 days later. They marked it up with a concealer so I wont notice. And made me sign a waiver that there are no damages.Definitely the worst company to call for moving. Stay away they are scammers and dont care about anything other than grabbing your money and making your move the worst experience ever!
