We recently used Schleppers to move and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. The movers were on time and called prior to getting there. They were very professional and very nice to work with. They made sure that everything was properly protected when it was packed up for the move. The made the entire experience quick and easy. They arrived at our home first thing in the morning and by the early afternoon we were fully moved into our new home. I would absolutely recommend Schleppers, they gave us the best price of all the moving companies we called and they made our move extremely easy.

I recently used Shlepper's to move into a 4th floor walk-up. Booking was easy, the price was reasonable but what really was the star was the amazing personnel. The guys were incredibly professional and amazing. Even after "shlepping" all of my items up to the fourth floor they were polite and friendly. I could not believe the speed in which they got everything out of my old apartment and into my new apartment. There were no hidden fees or surprises and everything went incredibly smoothly. The guys actually showed up 15 mins early but called first to make sure I was ready for them. I cannot recommend them enough!

Shleppers went above and beyond! Two men moved my one bedroom apartment from Brooklyn to Manhattan. The men were very nice, worked fast and hard! The entire process was seamless. There were no hidden fees and they worked with every obstacle they came into. They broke down and reassembled two prices of my furniture with no complaints or extra charges. I also had my mattress and box spring deliveried during this time. The guys at Shleppers happily offered to put my new bed together for me as well.
I highly recommend Shleppers to anyone who wishes to have a stress free moving day! Mine was very enjoyable!

Shleppers sent 3 men to move my studio apartment into my new 2 bedroom. I am 8 months pregnant and couldn't really do much. The fireman was super helpful and respectful. He asked questions and wrapped all the furniture well. I had packed up all the boxes already. The unloading was amazing. He put the boxes in the right rooms and set up furniture where I wanted it. A very smooth move! And Shleppers gave me a lower price than the competitors. I appreciated they worked with me on the price. That was important.

I learned of Shleppers from a high recommendation. I moved from Mahopac, NY to Yonkers NY recently. While moving can become quite stressful the guys at Shleppers did a fantastic job from start to finish. The foreman and crew were courteous and cautious with all of my belongings. Even when I offered to help out they said they would do it and for me to relax.

I was pleased with how smooth everything went. I would recommend Shleppers to anyone who is moving. It was a pleasure, thanks again!

I had great experience with Shleppers and would highly recommend. Relocation consultant was extremely professional and provided very fast reply at anytime. Our buildings needed insurance satisfication and those were done very smoothly as well. On the day of move, movers were very nice and took care of every item very well. It was snowing outside but they wrapped all of the items very well. They were extremely quick, on time, and professional. We expected additional couple hours to have the move done but they were way faster than expected.

Let's be honest..everybody hates moving! That being said, hiring shleppers made everything so much easier. I contacted the company via their online form and in less than 2 min I got a call back. Eliza the moving consultant was super helpful. The movers showed up on time, reviewed the inventory with me and immediately got to work. In less than 3 hours these guys moved my one bedroom apt to a 4th floor in a walk-up building. I rarely write reviews but these guys really deserved to be recognized! BRAVO!

We have now used Shleppers twice. One local move into storage, and one long distance move to another state. Both moves are in the part one phase. In a few months we will retrieve the items that were stored locally, and we are currently waiting to receive the truck from the long distance move. So far, the gentleman were professional, pleasant, calm and efficient! No furniture was damaged and they negotiated tough turns and tight corners well when moving large pieces. I hope I can add to this review when we receive all of our things safe and sound.

From the first phone call through the move completion, this move went smoothly. With the prospect of moving into Manhattan via the George Washington Bridge, my wife suggested Schleppers: "they've been around for 40 years. There must be a reason for their longevity." She was correct. The move was efficient and fast, considering the known horrors of Manhattan traffic density, bus stops, and alternate side parking- all was wonderful. The set-up within the apartment by the moving team was excellent.We agree with the Ben Franklin quote about "the bitterness of poor quality remains long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten." We still cannot forget a previous negative move with a different moving company. We are grateful we found Schleppers.

In a year or two, we will use Schleppers again to move within Manhattan. We can't imagine using another mover.

Shleppers was great. The move went so smoothly. Less than an 2 hours in each location, they handled all of my furniture with care, nothing was damaged, and the process was smooth and simply.

Even with limited parking in Hoboken, and a bus accident in the lincoln tunnel, they still managed to complete my move in an amazingly short period of time.

Thanks guys. I'd use you again anytime (hopefully not for a while, but will return to you in a few years).

After several dicey moves in the past, Shleppers exceeded my expectations with every aspect of my move. My on-site estimator was on time, informative and professional. Leading up to the move Steven Zimmer answered all of my questions and adjusted my quote a few times at my request, including the day before the move, to reflect changes in the packing list. And the moving crew was courteous, efficient, and careful with my belongings. I couldn't recommend them more.

I was nervous when my apt building declined to allow the company I hired to move me in. That company was not "full service" and did not have certificate of insurance acceptable to my new management. I asked for their rec and they gave me 3 that had the COI acceptable to management. I immediately emailed all 3 - even tho after hours on a Tuesday since my move was Thursday. The other 2 either did not get back or said too little notice.

Shleppers was immediately responsive and extremely helpful and reassuring! But when I heard "No Problem. of course we can help. We will take good care of you" I feared a huge price out of my budget. To my delight and surprise, they were excellent in every way! Well within my budget, available for time and place, and super easy to book. When I had a ridiculous hiccup on my end (NOT theirs!) they were very understanding and said to just work it out and let them know. This was all last minute and they were totally calm! I worked out my issues, called, immediately confirmed and done!

I showed up the next day for the move and Will, Antoine & Lopez with truck were already there. ahead of schedule. they quickly and patiently completed the move out and then just as quickly and patiently - and with good humor - completed the in.

I felt so very lucky that everything worked out perfectly. When the Shleppers agent called me to ask for a report, all I could say was Thank you! Perfect!

But I think this was not luck. I think that Shleppers must be really this good. To handle my last minute situation with such ease and excellence takes a well-oiled machine, full of smart, lovely, calm people who know the caller scheduling a move is probably crazed, or at least anxious - and they just deal with it. That's what they do. and my goodness they do it well. Simply couldn't have done it better in my case.

Moving in NY is a pain, but somehow Shleppers takes away as much of the pain as possible. Had to move 6 large pieces of furniture down 4 flights of stairs--the 3 guys from Shleppers showed up in the time window selected, packed everything quickly and effectively and hauled it all away without any questions or taking any breaks. While the pricing for Shleppers is a bit higher than some of their competitors, what you are paying for is professionalism and courtesy. I have moved with companies in the past that have put all my stuff in their truck, and then tried to renegotiate the price for the move, which is a pretty shady practice. Nice to know there are companies out there doing business the right way.

I used Shleppers several years ago to move out of NYC temporarily, and I remain a very happy repeat customer after my recent move back into NYC. In both of my moving experiences with Shleppers, everyone I spoke to and interacted with was kind, courteous, and responsive throughout all parts of the move process.

I spoke with Anne to get a moving quote, and she was quick to respond to all of my (many) questions in advance. It even turns out they had a list of my items on file from my previous move, so all I had to do was update the list for my move back to the city! In addition, when my landlord asked for a COI prior to my move, Anne was quick to respond to this request as well.

On the morning of my move, the three movers arrived with their truck on time (a welcome courtesy in and of itself), and moved my items quickly and efficiently. All were very professional and very respectful, and, of course, careful with everything from my large furniture to many boxes of books and personal items. The movers were able to navigate New York's small apartment spaces (doors/hallways included) with ease, and are clearly capable local professionals who know how to handle the special challenges of moving to/from/around NYC.

All of this is to say, I very highly recommend Shleppers on all fronts. They are efficient, professional, careful, and all around nice people. I remain a happy customer, pleased with both of my experiences with the company. (Even my parents, who were on site to help with the move this time around, were very impressed.) Thank you for making the stressful experience of moving less stressful!

This was my second time using Shleppers. The first was a few years ago, and in my opinion, once you find a moving company that does what they say they're going to do, you stick with them. Shleppers quoted me a fair price, itemized my belongings, arrived when they said they would, packed everything up carefully, and unloaded it all in the new house as they said they would. The guys were courteous and polite, and they didn't stop hustling until the job was done.
