Labor Day Move went well!

I'm leaving this review the day after. I had hired Shleppers to help me with a recent move. We moved from a 2 bedroom unit into a smaller home in the same area. This was done yesterday, Labor Day. I feel these guys were on top of things, worked hard and got our move done quickly without any added stress. I am happy with how things went, and I would hire them again in a heartbeat. Thank you guys for being there.

TERRIBLE SERVICE

Broken Antiques

They broke a 280-year-old grandfather clock and their explanation was farcical. I watched them pack it. I watched them unpack it 5 days later. The pendulum was broken, and the mechanism of the clock was 'compressed.' They said that the damage was not done while under their control......What did they do, send it to mars? It was only under their control, at all times. $4,500 of damage. They offered me $75. Pathetic.

Shleppers was extremely professional, addressed every concern and made the stressful process of moving as pleasant as possible. All of the movers were courteous and respectful of all of our stuff. They moved two trucks worth of stuff on a 95 degree day for me and my 8 month pregnant wife without any issues.

With our 3 children living in Manhattan, someone is always moving. The folks at Shleppers get you a quote quickly and their movers are very nice young men, and strong too. And very polite. After multiple moves I highly recommend them.

We have now used shleppers three times in ten years. We used them twice moving within manhattan and once moving from the city to NJ. They were on time, careful, and wonderful to our little kids. They have now packed and moved us six total days. Zero broken or scratched items. And fairly priced. Can't recommend them highly enough.

Schleppers Moving and Storage.

Second time I've used them- quick, efficient and friendly. They showed up on time and got right to work and I was out of my one bedroom apartment in about 60 minutes. They even took apart my bed and put it together in the new space. No furniture was damaged either, not even a very old cabinet.

This was my second move with Shleppers and although the price has increased in that time, the service remains excellent. Although the move was short (from one floor to another in the same walk-up building), arranging it was fast and easy. The crew was personable, courteous and efficient. I doubt better service is available at any price.

Hands down my go-to movers.

Thorough, honest and courteous. That's pretty much as you can ask of your movers and Schleppers delivered. PLUS they were able to dissemble and reassemble an IKEA wardrobe and place boxes into their appropriate rooms/boxes. That earns them at least 5 more stars.

Stellar customer service.

The movers were very courteous and packed everything fast and with care. The person who came to my home initially to estimate the cost of the move was very thorough and explained everything step by step and even sent me reminder emails about the move. This is my second time using their services. I strongly recommend them.

Easy Moving.

I was impressed on how thorough the moving process was. I described the items to be moved, was given a quote and they arrived on time. I had a 2 bedroom apartment and within 4 hours, everything was in my new home..no damage..no worries. They were all very professional..and friendly. Another family member had used Shleppers and referred them.

Stolen Property.

Shelpper's Moving stole valuables from me. Long story short, they remember packing/unpacking a cash valued item, their liability apparently ends there, when it was missing the next day they took 2 months to do nothing and hope I let it go.
