Shleppers did an amazing job moving a good amount of furniture,clothes and house hold items from Westchester County to New York City. Two men were allocated to the job. They worked hard and efficiently. They wrapped all the delicate items perfectly and were extraordinary accommodating to any requests made by myself or my husband. They packed the truck up efficiently and effortlessly.
When asked to change location of furniture or boxes they did without any attitude. Both workers wanted to make sure we were completely satisfied with their service. I would 100% recommended Shleppers!

Move size: 2 Bedroom Home Service cost: $650

This is my third time using Shleppers to move and I am once again very satisfied by the service. The movers are always careful, thorough, and very respectful. They do an efficient job for a really good price, and with great friendly service. I have used they packing service in a previous move and it was really helpful. They come the day before and set everything up for the easiest possible move. The movers always do a complete inspection when they are done and make sure everything is satisfactory. It's amazing how easy it is to get a quote and set up the move also. I would definitely recommend Shleppers and will probably use them again in the future.

Shlepper's has been sued many times in many states including a large settlement that they had to agree to pay former employees that they cheated out of their pay. do your homework before you use this company. All you need to do is go onto NY, NJ, CT, PA, FL and CA state court case search sites and you will see how many times this company has been defendants in lawsuits. They are either really unlucky or are bad news, the latter is what they are. STAY AWAY FROM THEM!! Shady as it gets. They've been sued by customers for so many actions that they should be shut down for good. Check out the link below. They do not even pay their employees the way that they should so they had to settle for a lot of money. If you use them for a move, this is where your money is going.

Shleppers was reliable to the nth degree. They did two separate moves, one to NJ with a piano, one to our new residence. They were prompt and attentive to detail, very hard-working. For the big relocation, the crew came the day before to pack us. They sent 4 men who finished in 4 hours. Everything was left on dollies to ease the removal of our things. When they arrived on the day of the move, everything was ready to go. We were out of our place in 3 hours, and it took 3 hours for the crew to unload the van. They moved furniture around to suit us, and put some of our things in the garage as well. They were absolutely amazing. They were very careful with our belongings, polite, respectful, and very efficient. We would give them the highest of recommendations.

We had a great experience with Shleppers from start to finish. Our relocation specialist made himself available from the moment he arrived at our home for the moving estimate. We had a number of logistical changes and he worked with us through it all- even taking a call from me while he was on vacation! Shleppers did the packing for us prior to our move out date, and as I’ve unpacked, I’ve noted that not one single thing was broken or damaged in any way. They did a better job than I could have done (and I’ve moved quite a bit in my lifetime!). They were super fast as well, packing a 3-bedroom house in about 6.5 hours. At every point of the process the movers were on time, they worked efficiently and quickly, and they were courteous. Shleppers worked with us when our move in date changed and with the timing of delivery due to a snowstorm and delayed closing. Nothing was ever a problem- the entire move was done well. I called Shleppers on a recommendations from a friend who recently moved. They were curious and helpful from the start. From the time the women came to do the Estimate of the furniture right down to the delivery and the end of the day. My foreman was Eresto (I think) and he could NOT have been any nicer, professional and really on the ball with EVERYTHING that needed to be done! He made sure he and his team wrapped and protected all my furniture, moved everything carefully, and packed up the truck in a time efficient way. They did the packing and driving of 3 hrs away all in one day (this is the ONLY complaints, as I think they should have packed one day, and moved the next) because when they finally finished- it was 9pm at night. I would not have ANY reservations to recommend them again to any and all my friends. If you are on the fence about taking a chance of them, don't. First, I was looking around last minute. I needed a moving company in one day. I must’ve called 10 places around NYC. My friend from Cooper and Cooper real estate suggested Shleppers. I’m not going to lie the name threw me off but I trusted his suggestion. I called and Fran helped me. She was the sweetest lady I’ve ever talked to because she knew I was stressed out over my move.

Second, I wasn’t just looking for a moving company. My previous lease will end March 1st and my new lease will start March 9th. I needed a place to store my 1-bedroom furniture until I can move in. I didn’t have an option to extend my lease for a week or did I want to get a hotel for a week because it still left me with a problem-STORAGE.

The quotes I received from all the other companies were insane prices. It was because it was 2 separate moves. Well, Shleppers came through, they said they same exact thing. It’s 2 separate moves and storage but the price was so reasonable and Fran had such a great personality. I went with them.

On the day of the move, they called me and said we will come early if that’s ok. It was ok except I wasn’t prepared. I didn’t finish packing. My place was a disaster. Well, they helped me. Will, one of the movers, was very pleasant. We went over my inventory which I added a few items so he had to wait until my order showed up on his iPad. In the meantime, the other 2 men were gathering the supplies. It took about an hour to pack my 1-bedroom apartment. They were careful and fast. I will end the story with I’m happy to have found a place that will move me out of NJ into Manhattan while storing my furniture for 10 days for the best price I have ever paid for MOVING and STORAGE. I’ve used movers before and they cost about the same price just to move 2 towns over. Home Sweet Home!!

I recently used Shleppers to move furniture from my NYC office to my home in Brooklyn. I decided to hire Shleppers because they offered the lowest quote versus various other NYC moving companies I had inquired. The crew of movers arrived on time and were very professional. They worked quickly but efficiently and they did put a comfortable amount of care in wrapping my more delicate furniture. I was overall very impressed and will use and recommend Shleppers in the future.

I hired schlepers to move me from a temporary apartment two floors up into my permanent place. They came early and gave a quick look at furniture and the amount of boxes then went and got wardrobe boxes, dollies and a large bin and went to work.

The guys that handled my move we're constantly communicating and asking where everything should go, they packed up my entire closet and put everything back the exact same way in the new apt. Furniture and boxes all moved quicker than I could've imagined, and they treated my belongings as if they were their own. On top of all that the guys were incredibly friendly in addition to being great at their jobs. I'd recommended schlepers to anyone.

From the initial phone consultation straight through to the move completion it was a top notch experience. The price they quoted me was competitive and I loved that they sent a COI to my building without even having to ask. The team who handled my move arrived early (a good thing) and were extremely professional and courteous. They efficiently packed up my apartment with no issues and I observed them taking care to properly pack and wrap my belongings. At the other end of the move (the drop off) they unpacked swiftly. I was extremely impressed how the disassembled and then reassembled my kids bunk beds so easily (As it had taken me hours to put together myself). They guys were awesome and I will definitely use Shleppers (and hopefully my same crew) for my next move.

Do NOT use Shleppers.

My move experience was a complete disaster, largely because movers did not come in the pre-assigned window and communication with the company was a zero.

There was a set window during which I could move due to move restrictions: 1-4p. I spoke with dispatch and my move coordinator in the week prior and both assured me that movers would show at 1p on the day of the move. That did not happen.

When I called at 130p with no idea as to where any movers were, I was told that the movers were 'downtown, on their way, and would be there in 20-30min. That did not happen.

When I called again around 230p, I was told they were still downtown but would guaranteed be there by 3p. That did not happen.

When they still hadn't shown by 3p, I tried calling again and was put through to voicemail. I tried multiple times and could not reach anyone who could shed any light on the situation. At this point it seemed like they were screening my calls in effort to avoid providing any information.

Finally, a team showed up after 3p leaving less than 1 hour for a move. As it turned out, this was not sufficient time and I was left negotiating with my landlords for use of the elevators in order to complete the move.

Moving is a stressful experience to begin with Schleppers made the experience worse. We understand movers can be late and that there are certain things out of someone's control. The basic expectation, though, is that there should be truthful communication and not lies told or an inability to contact anyone.

This experience was a complete failure. It’s unacceptable. The icing on the cake was they tried to offer me a 10% refund to keep my mouth shut about the terrible terrible experience! I regret using this company - please avoid the same mistake I did.

We had an amazing experience with Schleppers. Our movers, Kevin and Dimitri were beyond amazing. They arrived to our apartment promptly at 8:30am and began loading up the truck. They finished loading by 9:30 and got us into our new apartment earlier than we were supposed to. They finished unloading everything from the truck and into our apartment by 11:25am. We highly recommend schleppers and especially Kevin and Dimitri! They worked very hard and efficient and kept everyone safe. They both had their masks on the entire time and were very respectful of social distancing.

This is the worst company with the worst customer service. I used them on a move that lasted over 4 years and recently unpacked into my final move. I lost over 70 big ticket items. I had over $35000 worth of jewelry taken by their movers and I asked for a claim to opened up by the headquarters and they completely ignored me. I feel robbed and unjustly destroyed by this low life evil company. I hate the very word and thoughts of how they handled this and treated me. The owners are cowards and didn’t do what’s right. All I asked them to do and documented by numerous police reports was to open an insurance claim. They ignored me. This company deserves to fail. I feel so disrespected that the very fact that nobody ever did the right thing. It’s a complete and utter disrespect and loss of my family heritage on some of the priceless items that were taken from us by tons of employees of your company.

Shleppers was fantastic. Always communicated clearly with us during our move. They called to ask if they could come early in advance which was perfect because that worked better for us anyway. They were incredibly professional, quick, and friendly. There were a lot of things that I was unsure how to pack and left unwrapped, and the guys took care of it for me no problem, helping me pack up leftovers, assemble, and disassemble items. Absolutely nothing was broken or damaged and everything made it to our new place. Will definitely use them again in the future and would recommend to anyone.
