RMC Movers

We had to pack-up and move my Mom's three story house which had alot of antique furniture. We were very concerned about moving the funiture which was big and bulky without scratchs or damages to her family heirlooms.  They were very professional and took great care in packing and moving everything.  We were very pleased with their service and would use this company again.  We also felt that their fees were a good value for the excellent services they provided.  This is definitely a customer service oriented company and we would recommend them to a friend.

Service cost: $1000

RMC Movers had to collect our items from two separate locations across town on one day and deliver everything the next day to a different state early in the morning.  It went perfectly.   Furthermore, all of our belongings were wrapped carefully and everything arrived in mint condition.  Their staff was exceptional from start to finish.  It really impressed my wife too and a happy wife is a happy life.  I would give them top marks for professionalism, service and economical on their pricing for the amount of work we received.    .

I would have looked pass any of the issues with these workers not being able to do the job correctly.  I could even justify their lack of readiness to do the job.  All that seemed not as important after I found out my diamond wedding ring was missing.  Although all is circumstantial because I do not have substantial proof that one of these workers took the ring.  The circumstances are way too clear:  1) My ring was on my jewelry box as of the morning before the movers came to my house, and the jewelry box was on my dresser in the master bedroom, half open because it wasn’t closing correctly; 2) On that day, and any of the subsequent three days no one came to my house except these three movers who came to move furniture from the downstairs floor to the master bedroom closet; 3) After I called the owner to notify him of the incident, I found out that one of the workers had a warrant for his arrest; 4) the worker was arrested for this previous warrant as stated by the owner of the company; 5) the detective that investigated this worker’s background notified me that although the worker was denying taking the ring, he had an array of prior criminal activity in his background. The owner of the company had the guts to tell me that I should bear some responsibility.  I guess he was referring to the fact that I was not wearing my ring and instead I had it in my jewelry box.  I was astounded by this remark but I clearly understood that he was not taking responsibility for hiring a criminal and sending him to work to a private home.  This experience has been devastating as I have been married 30 years and I treasured this ring.  I don’t have much jewelry but this ring was a significant part of me.  Please don’t hire this company.

My sister and I had to find movers at the last minute, in the pouring rain on a Friday afternoon to help our parents out of a terrible situation.  After doing another job all day, they sent 3 guys to help us move an entire house.  They came as soon as they could and while they were only going to stay a few hours, they ended up staying practically the entire evening to get the job done, in the freezing cold rain.  They were absolute saints and we truly don't know what we would have done without these 3 guys!  They were lifesavers, honest, hard working, generous and very kind people.  AMAZING!!  Not only did they truly care about their work but they cared about helping us, making a terrible situation much much better.  My family could never thank them enough!  I highly recommend RMC Movers!

We were very impressed with RMC Movers. They were courteous and respectful and very concious of our needs. My family and I moved a short distance from a 2 bedroom apartment into our new 4 bedroom home and the movers made sure it was a smooth transition. All of our furniture was wrapped and handled carefully. We have an awkward staircase in our new home, but they took the time to carefully maneuver the furniture up the stairs and into the designated rooms. We were expecting this move to be an all day process but were pleasantly suprised at how fast they moved us! I will definately recommend RMC to all of our friends and family!  .

I cannot even begin to describe how awful my experience was with RMC Movers. Hands down the worse moving experience I have ever had or likely will ever have in the future as well. The movers Tyson and Joseph were very friendly, respectful and apologetic. However, the owner Lamar is extremely unprofessional, disrespectful and completely out of control. He showed up at my apartment to handle complaints and instead of being apologetic and helpful and concerned he lashed out at my boyfriend and I. Not only did his lashing out include screaming, degrading personalized comments and a extensive vocabulary of obscene words, but he caused such a horrific scene that my neighbors called the leasing office management on him. Long story short after Lamar repeatedly threatened my boyfriend, threatened to steal my things and take my money we ended up having to call the police. An officer had to supervise the second half of my move to ensure my personal belongings were not broken or stolen by RMC. I feel it is my duty to the rest of the public to warn you of what can be expected from Lamar and how he runs a business or lack thereof.

Please save yourself the headache and hardship and hire a legitimate moving company that will treat you, your family and your belongings with the care and respect you deserve!!

RMC Movers was truly a God sent during my move! My move was due to the loss of a loved one; therefore, it required several stops which I sprang on them at the last minute. Not only did they accommodate me, but the owner himself came up to lend a hand to help me stay within the confines of my budget. With the extra stops involved I went over my budget quite a bit but Mr. Bankhead only charged me the budgeted amount we'd previously spoke about. It's wonderful to see such heartfelt concern and selflessness in this "every man for himself" world we live in today. I wish I could give RMC Movers 100 stars! They were also punctual, fast, careful and professional!

I was looking for a moving company that was not a broker. I wanted to know that my belongings were not going to take 2 weeks as well as being stopped at different locations and me of knowing who the moving broker would subcontract to. Did some research and saw the reviews and figured I would place a call. Carolyn, answered and was so pleasant and explained everything. Not only that she was able to get them here in 2 days later for an estimate. They came on moving day and headed by Lewis, everyone was so professional and completed the work in time for me to have the rest of my day. They even packed my original art pieces and all my things arrived on time and it great condition. They even had to walk my couch up three flights of stairs because the door to the elevator was too small. They worked tiredly getting my things situated and did not even want to stop to eat the lunch I bought them. They waited until everything was done before they took their lunch on the road back. I would use them anytime. If you are looking for movers that are pleasant and take pride in their work.. Call RMC movers. I'm even going to have them pack and store the rest of my home in GA for storage in June. Thanks again!

I contacted RMC Mover two months and a half before our actual moving. After comparing several movers and due to my frequent moving experiences, my most concern is that are there any hidden fees behind Lamar's quote. I double checked this with Lamar for three or four times. Lamar assured to me that this would be a flat fee, no hidden cost. I then chose partial packing package.

On the scheduled packing day, there was a minor episode. Yet Tyson and his team handled this well. On the following loading day, Tyson, Luis and their team helped us a lot. They loaded the stuff onto the truck on time. On the scheduled day of delivery, Tyson and Luis arrived early and handled everything professionally and perfectly! They collected the exact amount just as Lamar quoted two months and a half ago! Thank you RMC Movers for helping us have a smooth moving experience!!

I was obtaining moving estimates and I remembered a friend who had raved about the movers who had moved her. I contacted her and she said "I'll give you the name of the best moving company in the area" and she shared the information for RMC movers. From the owner, Mr. Bankhead to the great crew of men (Joseph, Preston and Michael) who he assigned to my move, I was provided with outstanding professional service. The Ammons crew was courteous, prompt and efficient. My furniture was carefully wrapped, and extra care was given to the glass tables and shelving. The price was reasonable and I would recommended this company to everyone.

I recently completed a complicated, one-way move from Florida to Georgia. After arriving in ATL, I compiled a list of movers and went about calling each business to determine who I should hire. After speaking with RMC Movers I knew there was no reason to contact anyone else. From the onset of the call "Yvette" was courteous and extremely knowledgeable of their products and services. Everyone on their staff was professional and personable. The movers carefully protected my furniture and handled my property as if it were their own. Reasonably priced and extremely efficient, RMC Movers is now my go to company. No one enjoys moving, but RMC removed the burden and stress and facilitated my move with ease.

I recently used RMC for the second time. The first time was a whole house move, and the second time was only a few heavy items. Each time I've used RMC, the movers have been professional and courteous, they have always made sure my belongings are wrapped sufficiently; to not only protect the furniture, but walls and doorways as well. RMC has always had competitive rates and excellent communication from scheduling to moving day. I would definitely recommend this company for anyone looking for movers no matter how big or small the job.

Thank Goodness for RMC movers! They were all so helpful, accommodating and understanding. I had an extremely stressful situation with my move, and they helped make it possible. I had the best crew (The Ammon crew). They arrived on time and worked very hard get everything on the truck in a timely fashion.
When they came to deliver our things, they were also on time and worked very hard and went the extra mile for us. What a nice group of young men! I would definitely recommend you guys to anyone.

After trying to schedule my move with Two and Men and a truck they stood me up. Two men and a truck said they would send me confirmation emails which never arrived even after talking to 2 different employees. The fees changed when I called the day of the move and they wanted to charge me a significant increase. At this point I'd had enough of the bad customer service and decided to use another moving company.

I called RMC movers and they quickly set up a same day moving appointment. They explained the fees clearly and arrived shortly before scheduled time. They move was completed within the estimated time and free of incidents. To put it shortly, I'm a happy customer and I would gladly use them in the future.

These movers are amazing. I in was a very touchy situation and I needed to move in a hurry. The initial company I reserved started giving me the round around about a time. I explained to Roz that I needed to be moved before my husband arrived. She immediately began making calls and within 10-20 minutes she called me back to let me know the movers were on their way. Mr Lamar Bankhead, Cordell, and Shawn were personable, quick and professional. They made sure multiple times during the move that I was satisfied with everything. I would recommend them to everyone.

I could not have been more pleased with RMC Movers. From the initial contact to the delivery, every person that we interacted with was fantastic. I've dealt with several moving companies over the years and bar none, RMC Movers have been the best that I have ever done business with. They handled my fathers belongings like their own, their staff was extremely professional and I could not have asked for a better company to do business with. I would most certainly use RMC in the future if I ever had the need for movers again!

We moved from a very small town in east central Alabama to the Huntsville area. It's a good 2 1/2 hour drive. I couldn't have asked for a better job and a fairer price. Lamar's the man and was a pleasure to talk with. He leaves you feeling that you don't have to worry and he's right. Henry, Kevin, and Chris worked extremely hard, were very courteous, and professional. Houdini has nothing on Henry the way he packed that truck. I would recommend and use them again in a heartbeat.
