RMC Movers

I am normally skeptical of company on-line reviews, but in this case I'm in full agreement.  RMC did a great job and we couldn't be more satisfied.
We just completed a move from Atlanta to the south Georgia coast. Lewis and Slim arrived on time, loaded everything then drove down and unloaded the same day.  Everything came in unharmed and in the same shape it left in.
I highly recommend RMC to anyone looking for a quality, professional moving company.

Service cost: $1500

Although late for the apartment, made up for by being SOOO quick with loading and unloading the boxes and furniture. Keep in mind I stayed on the 3rd floor and all the while were careful with my dining room GLASS tables, Sofa and bed. Have never had the type of service from a moving company and did I mention they cleaned too!! Upon leaving and doing the final inspection with the leasing office the inspector says, "I wished everyone left it like this when they left!" Will be using them in the future! 5 STARS!!

These guys were nothing short of amazing.  Louis, Andre, and Jonathan were on time, professional, and the best group of movers I've ever dealt with.  From the first phone conversation I had with RMC to the end of the moving day the customer service was stellar.  We were going into storage, and Louis was extremely kind and helpful in ensuring that we had everything we needed to keep our stuff safe and secure while being stored.  They wrapped all of our wooden furniture in paper pads and shrink wrap with so much care.  And these 3 guys were FAST.  I have never seen anyone hustle the way these guys did.  They worked so well together, always communicating with each other and ensuring that they were safe with our belongings while maintaining efficiency.  And at the same time they were SO kind and friendly.  These guys represent the way it should be done.  When we find our new place and are ready to move out of storage, there is no doubt that we will be calling RMC to do the job.  Louis, Andre, and Jonathan were a total dream team and represented RMC in the best way possible.  They've absolutely got my business whenever I'm in need of a moving company.  .

The morning I needed a washer and dryer picked up, moved and installed, I called RMC movers. I couldn't believe it when they said they absolutely could help. Then, when the original truck was delayed, the owner hopped in a truck and went out to do my job. It's not like I was a high dollar customer, but he treated me as though I was. He was so kind, friendly, and patient while I worked out the details, and I wasn't even at either location, but he took care of it all. Just fabulous. I would definitely recommend them!

We moved with short notice from Atlanta to Tifton, GA in November of 2014. Though I had moved in and around suburban Atlanta, I had never made a long distance move. I contacted RMC Movers and scheduled a meeting for a quote and was able to schedule an appointment with in a couple of days of my call. The owner/representative was very courteous. We were satisfied with the quote which seemed very reasonable. On the day of the move, the gentlemen arrived on time and got right to work. The movers were professional, very friendly, and took very good care of my furniture and belongings. We received a quote for one particular sized truck, with the possibility of having to secure a 2nd smaller truck. I appreciated that they tried to make the move in just one truck, thus saving the additional cost. In the end, we did need that 2nd truck - but at least they tried. The cost (because of the 2nd truck) was only $50 over the original quote - in this business with the horror stories one hears of companies charging double and holding furniture for ransom, this was no issue. Additionally, I did take the owner's advice and hired his packers to pack the kitchen. They did a fabulous job with top-of-the-line packing materials - not one item was broken and they did it in 3 hours instead of the 10 or 15 it would have taken me alone. I highly recommend both their packing and moving services. .

I just want to thank Lamar and his guys for the hard work they did for me. Moving me from Georgia to a South Carolina. The 3 guys who came out to my home did a wonderful job. Their were very professional and didn't waste anytime packing everything up and moving everything. I was kind of hesitate at first to decide to use this company to moving me. Since I had other experience with other company, but after speaking with Lamar a couple times and he assured me His guys will get the jobs done. I was very happy with the results.

They would have been ontime to pickup if there hadn't been bad weather, better late than an accident. What items I had left unpacked they put into boxes for me. Unhooked and disassembled my furniture for easier move. My stuff went straight to storage until I found a place. Once I got a place and contacted RMC Movers to arrange delivery, they were very prompt in setting up delivery. Items were undamaged. They reassemble and hooked up my furniture. Very satisfied with this company, I would use them again.

RMC Movers were great for us.  I know a lot of people complain about poor service from moving companies, so it feels good to rave about a very positive experience.  We had an in-home estimate, and I was pleased to find it was exactly the same as our final bill.  The team showed up on time, took great care to pack the items we couldn't (TVs, art, antiques and an aquarium), and loaded everything quickly and efficiently. 
We moved from Atlanta to Fort Lauderdale.  The movers came on a Tuesday morning, and arrived in Fort Lauderdale that night.  We drove down on Wednesday, and asked for delivery on Thursday morning.  The team met us promptly at our storage facility first, then followed us to the house after unloading part of our belongings.  They did a great job moving furniture and boxes into the new house, and put beds and other furniture back together for us.  Nice guys, great attitudes, and everything arrived in the same condition it was when they picked it up.  Thanks RMC.

I cannot even begin to describe how awful my experience was with RMC Movers. Hands down the worse moving experience I have ever had or likely will ever have in the future as well. The movers Tyson and Joseph were very friendly, respectful and apologetic. However, the owner Lamar is extremely unprofessional, disrespectful and completely out of control. He showed up at my apartment to handle complaints and instead of being apologetic and helpful and concerned he lashed out at my boyfriend and I. Not only did his lashing out include screaming, degrading personalized comments and a extensive vocabulary of obscene words, but he caused such a horrific scene that my neighbors called the leasing office management on him. Long story short after Lamar repeatedly threatened my boyfriend, threatened to steal my things and take my money we ended up having to call the police. An officer had to supervise the second half of my move to ensure my personal belongings were not broken or stolen by RMC. I feel it is my duty to the rest of the public to warn you of what can be expected from Lamar and how he runs a business or lack thereof.

Please save yourself the headache and hardship and hire a legitimate moving company that will treat you, your family and your belongings with the care and respect you deserve!!

RMC Movers was truly a God sent during my move! My move was due to the loss of a loved one; therefore, it required several stops which I sprang on them at the last minute. Not only did they accommodate me, but the owner himself came up to lend a hand to help me stay within the confines of my budget. With the extra stops involved I went over my budget quite a bit but Mr. Bankhead only charged me the budgeted amount we'd previously spoke about. It's wonderful to see such heartfelt concern and selflessness in this "every man for himself" world we live in today. I wish I could give RMC Movers 100 stars! They were also punctual, fast, careful and professional!

I was looking for a moving company that was not a broker. I wanted to know that my belongings were not going to take 2 weeks as well as being stopped at different locations and me of knowing who the moving broker would subcontract to. Did some research and saw the reviews and figured I would place a call. Carolyn, answered and was so pleasant and explained everything. Not only that she was able to get them here in 2 days later for an estimate. They came on moving day and headed by Lewis, everyone was so professional and completed the work in time for me to have the rest of my day. They even packed my original art pieces and all my things arrived on time and it great condition. They even had to walk my couch up three flights of stairs because the door to the elevator was too small. They worked tiredly getting my things situated and did not even want to stop to eat the lunch I bought them. They waited until everything was done before they took their lunch on the road back. I would use them anytime. If you are looking for movers that are pleasant and take pride in their work.. Call RMC movers. I'm even going to have them pack and store the rest of my home in GA for storage in June. Thanks again!

I contacted RMC Mover two months and a half before our actual moving. After comparing several movers and due to my frequent moving experiences, my most concern is that are there any hidden fees behind Lamar's quote. I double checked this with Lamar for three or four times. Lamar assured to me that this would be a flat fee, no hidden cost. I then chose partial packing package.

On the scheduled packing day, there was a minor episode. Yet Tyson and his team handled this well. On the following loading day, Tyson, Luis and their team helped us a lot. They loaded the stuff onto the truck on time. On the scheduled day of delivery, Tyson and Luis arrived early and handled everything professionally and perfectly! They collected the exact amount just as Lamar quoted two months and a half ago! Thank you RMC Movers for helping us have a smooth moving experience!!

I was obtaining moving estimates and I remembered a friend who had raved about the movers who had moved her. I contacted her and she said "I'll give you the name of the best moving company in the area" and she shared the information for RMC movers. From the owner, Mr. Bankhead to the great crew of men (Joseph, Preston and Michael) who he assigned to my move, I was provided with outstanding professional service. The Ammons crew was courteous, prompt and efficient. My furniture was carefully wrapped, and extra care was given to the glass tables and shelving. The price was reasonable and I would recommended this company to everyone.
