Fantastic

Very fast, efficient, and friendly! They showed up on time and got to the drop-off location in a great time. We told them we had budgeted for a certain amount of time, and they could move everything within the time frame we could afford. Will use these guys again and highly recommend them to others.

The worst

Everything that could go wrong did. Movers, who are contractors, showed up and said move would cost thousands more than estimate despite video walkthrough by estimator. Delivery was a month late and when they showed up there were multiple broken and missing items. And there was a cabinet of breakables they left behind, I think because they were running late for another job and did not bring enough packing materials. I would not take a risk on these terrible people. Oh and there customer service is terrible. Could never get the estimator to return my call once things went bad. Stay far away.

Great Customers Service

Adam, a consummate professional, arrived promptly at every appointment we scheduled and always made himself available to answer all of our questions. The team was on time and worked swiftly to move all of our boxes down two flights of stairs, saving us a lot of stress and time. They did everything in two trips and took the utmost care with our stuff. Some of the more oversized items took the time to disassemble carefully. They reassembled it once again after moving it to the new location. Surely recommended!

Terrible Experience

I am not one to write reviews but our experience with Proud American VanLines, was so frustrating that we hope to save others from such a BAD experience. We were very displeased with their work and feel scammed out of ~$2000.We were told by P.American that it was OK to pack items in sealed plastic tubs but when VanGo movers arrived on May 7 to take our items,they charged $300 to repack the tubs.This is when we first became aware of the poor communication between P.American and their subcontractor. The biggest issue was that the truck was scheduled to arrive May 28 but didn't until July 27. For these 2 months,we were having trouble getting answers as to what was going on. P.American wasn’t picking up our calls nor returning messages. When we did reach people from both companies, the information about a broken truck and its replacement, didn’t agree. We believe that P.American was not being honest with us. Meanwhile,we had to buy items that were on the truck so that we could get along daily. The truck that arrived was an extra-long,18-wheeler,even though P.American was warned that a large truck could not fit on the receiving property.We were then charged an extra $500 because they had to walk things in due to the truck not being allowed close enough. Several boxes never arrived. By contract and according to a Department of Transportation law, the movers are expected to pay $30/day that the items arrive later then the thirty-day grace period that they have to transport. P.American told us to file a claim with VanGo for these monies and washed their hands of this, although they were the ones to set the move up. The claim was for several missing boxes and the refund for the delay past what is allowed by law. We have yet to see this refund more than a year after filing the claim; we were told by VanGo that it would take 2 months. Proud American should do a better job vetting their subcontractors, communicating with them and supporting the clients they book moves for.

Good experience

The following day we had to finish an urgent move. When I searched Google List, Proud American Vanlines was suggested. I spoke with the Agent in a matter of minutes, and he scheduled everything for 8 am the following morning. The crew completed the entire job in six hours after arriving on time. The team did a great job of keeping me informed of their progress. I was surprised to see how quickly they completed it!

Professional, helpful, and polite

Excellent and expert assistance was provided. Douglas and his coworker came to my rescue when I called them at the last minute, and I couldn't have been more pleased. They arrived promptly, worked quickly and friendly, and brought a spotless van and tools. They were able to expertly maneuver my large piece of furniture through a narrow and winding hallway, which seemed like an impossible feat at the outset. Extensive recommendation and future use!

Mind Blowing

I have previously told all my friends how great they are, and I still think that way. Knowing how much the move would cost was a relief, since they are the best movers out there. No hidden fees or charges were involved. Jerry was really nice and watched over my stuff. Kudos. They just got here and finished packing up everything, and I want to say that they truly deserve this recognition.

Wonder workers.

I had a perfect experience with Proud American Van Lines. I called the day before and was able to get a Sunday appointment. The movers were on time, careful with all the belongings, really nice, and the most affordable quote I got.
