Long-distance move from Oklahoma to Illinois

Be realistic about what to expect.

I cannot say that it was horrible but it wasn't great either, considering the amount they charged.  There were no hidden fees, since I didn't let them. But, when they come and pack, they use already half tapes, etc. I had a coupon so I didn't pay for them, but the amount was a lot. So pack and wrap your own stuff.    I moved a one bedroom apartment, and I left most of my stuff behind. I paid $1600 for a dresser, a matress, a table, 4  chairs, a futton and 12 small (really small, for the books) boxes. They came early in the morning, waking me up, 5 hours earlier than what I was told by the office.  And they wanted to deliver 6 in the morning, and the delivery company was a different one.  I waited for them untill 9:30. Oh, I was awake at 5:00.  So, they are letting your stuff carried by different companies and there is no coordination between the drivers and the office people. So whatever you are going to be told by people you are talking to is only half correct, if you are lucky. They have no control over the real part of the business: moving. They just convince you that they will deliver your stuff and what you are paying is a good deal. Well, it is NOT.  More than half of my plates were broken, the matress was wet, which I didn't even notice since they reassembled the bed hiding the wet part vey well.  My suggestion to everyone which I will do next time I move is:  Rent a truck and move your own stuff. This has been so stresful for me, I see now that I could have done better if I had moved my own stuff. I thought if I paid I wouldn't have to deal with all that stress, and I didn't have time to pack and drive, so I hired these guys. And I am sure mine is one of the least troubled moves. Yet, I will not do it again this way.

Long-distance move from California to Florida

Items poorly packed and items.

Presto Logistics was hired to move my elderly in-laws from Southern California to Central Florida in October 2012. Initially we were all very impressed with contact promptness and follow-up, however that was the ONLY thing good about this company! My in-laws live on a very limited budget so after the initial estimate they decided to only take a portion of their furniture, belongings and all their heirlooms. The packers arrived and we paid to pack their belongings to ship as a part of a larger shipment heading to the East Coast.  Their belongings were moved from their residence to a holding storage facility at Presto Logistics property.  After the movers delivered to the new Florida home unpacking began immediately.  We learned that not only had the boxes NOT been numbered as to 1 or 50 or anything logical, numerous boxes had been packed with ONE ITEM wrapped in paper, I.e., an office stapler, a pair of scissors, etc. – simply to have a box count for pricing!  In addition, the in-laws are from Europe and had numerous heirlooms, some that were hand carried out of communist countries; priceless items! And of course, several boxes of these heirlooms came up missing.  Partial sets of collectibles were delivered.  Calls were immediately placed to Presto Logistics in hopes they could check their storage facility and/or contact individuals who had shipments delivered prior and after.  NOTHING was done to attempt to track down these items, nor would they provide any credit for box after box of items shipped with virtually nothing inside!  After everything was said & done, the in-laws were referred to an insurance adjuster who would only provide $50 dollars for the lost items. We were at the mercy of some third party adjuster and Presto Logistics who could have cared less that an 83 & 76 year old were upset, losing sleep, and begging for someone to search for their items.  I’d recommend NEVER, EVER-EVER using this company!  This was certainly a lesson hard learned.  .

Long-distance move from California to Washington

Not the best, and still unresponsive customer service.

My experience with Presto has been extremely dissatisfying.  The move out was fine, not extraordinary, and I am still not completely comfortable they minimized the cubic footage of my stuff and they definitely went through twice as many rolls of tape as would have been necessary.  I can't imagine if I had a bigger place than a one bedroom. When I called them to give the move to address I felt as though I was inconveniencing them.  When the trip manager called me the day before he didn't even have the move to address.  When they arrived, they refused to drive up my street, but told me they would do a shuttle service with my stuff for $350.  They didn't want to damage their truck with trees hitting it.  I have seen very large trucks go up this street so I am curious how often they have to append these "shuttle services"    The trip manager was trying to work with me, but the driver refused and customer service as well as my  sales account rep were uncooperative other than saying they would reduce the shuttle charge down to $275, when I was already paying $1600 for the entire move and they weren't even going to have to put the items inside a house but rather into storage.  I respect the decision to protect the truck, but  I should not have to be financially responsible for them not driving a reasonable truck for delivery nor them having a "new truck" that they didn't want damaged. We're talking a few pine branches!   I was even told that some drivers are more willing than others.  Again why should I be punished for not having a flexible driver?  This should have been the easiest move in ever.  I even offered to have the items get moved into a neighbor garage towards the bottom of the street to avoid some of the "tree branches" in question.  So long story, not very short: I rented my own U-Haul for $57 and met presto in a walmart parking lot where I had them move my stuff into a uhaul which I then delivered and unpacked myself. My final charges included a full move back in which was highly touted and emphasized in the initial sale but I still had to pay the full amount and then do it all myself.  I left numerous messages with Marisa (who was very nice as well as someone else in their pbx yesterday afternoon and have yet to get a follow up call from the customer service manager or the sales rep. Having worked in hospitality for quite some time this would have been a great opportunity to turn a bad situation into a positive customer trust garnering situation and instead I just feel like they were looking to add additional charges whenever possible throughout the process, severing any potential of customer recommendations/future referrals, etc.  Speaking of damage, I wish that the same care they gave to their truck could have been passed to my items: I have marks on my bookshelves, a missing leg off of a mini ottoman, and a small wood split on my dining room table and I haven't even checked the contents of other boxes for any other damage.  A 5 hour situation could have turned into 1 hour event had someone from Presto given the driver the go ahead to drive the 500 feet up the street and then place the items in the empty garage. I hope I do hear from them so I can discuss this with them further and address an appropriate recourse.  In the meantime, I am curious to hear if other customers have had similar experiences.

Long-distance move from Texas to California

No communications! !!

Presto logistic staffs and customer service are not helpful. They picked up our stuff in Texas and to be shipped in California. It's been 10 days and I haven't got any updates or confirmations from their dispatch regarding when it can be deliver. I called donovan Morgan to follow up our stuff but he has no clue where it is now. I called the customer service and they said they can't see any informations about our shipment. Until now they don't have a clue about what happened to our stuff and it's pisses me off. My family is literally sitting and sleeping on the floor because we don't have our stuff until now. Never hire presto logistic coz they don't care at all. Get a really professional movers!!

Long-distance move from Texas to California

Please do not use Presto! Read my review all the way to the end!

1. My ending balance was DOUBLE the initial quote. 2. They tried to deliver my 1 bedroom apartment furniture to an apartment complex in the city using a 18-wheeler semi truck. The truck was to big to fit into the unloading area and they charged me an additional $350 to take my furniture 30 minutes down the street to their main office to switch over to a normal moving truck then come back and unload. First of all, who delivers furniture to an apartment complex in the city using an 18 wheeler semi truck?? I was devastated that I had to pay $350 extra dollars or they would not deliver my furniture. 3. The movers did not finish unloading my furniture until almost midnight. 4. My lamp and vases were broken. 5. They could not find the screws to my curio cabinet. It's still in pieces. 6. My box spring was ripped. 7. The weekend manager Louis had extremely poor customer service. 8. If they have to go upstairs, they charge extra. 9. If they have to use an elevator, they charge extra. 10. If they have to walk too far, they charge extra. 11. If you are moving state-to-state and Presto Logistics is your ONLY option, I suggest you sell everything you have in your current city and buy all new furniture in your new city.   BEWARE! PLEASE DON'T USE PRESTO!!

Long-distance move from Louisiana to Alabama

Extremely bad experience of life time.

Don't get fooled by the sweet talk in the beginning, once you signed the contract they will be different people. Pick up people will be highly professional, trained but drop off people will not have any clue of how to fix your furniture. Better get uhaul and hire some other professionals and drive your truck by yourself and get your items on time.
Complaints:1) I was given the estimate for 332 CF @$3.5/cf ($1155)  (based on the inventory list) and it became 408 CF @ $3.5/cf (1428)2) Packing material’s estimate was $200 and it became $397 (Estimate of $1355 increased to $1825)3) My move was planned to be delivered by 7/6/2013 and was delivered 11 days late and I was told that they had first available date for the delivery mentioned into their system as 7/10/2013. I found a paper outside my apartment from Presto logistics with a date mentioned on it as 7/6/2013. In short they were dishonest and lied to me.
4) At the time of pick up I was told if I will provide information about small truck vs 18 wheeler I will not be charged for shuttle’s special service and presto will not send 18 wheeler but on the day of delivery an 18 wheeler was sent. When I called the head office and informed them about this inconvenience, I got the reply that they don’t have any of such information put by me and I should have contacted the representative for the confirmation. My representative was Ms Alley B and I was trying to reach her after pick up both via email and phone number (taken from her last email) but I never received any reply from her and her phone (Ph # 818-802-2988 & 1-888-407-3877 would go on voice

I was told I can file claim, it has been almost a month since I have filed a claim about my ALL the damaged furniture but so far I have no answer plus they don't want you to get your furniture repaired until they resolve the issue, in other words you will have to keep the ugly looks of your furniture in your living room, dining room and bedrooms.

Next day delivery to Arizona.

Just wanted to thank presto for the amazing and professional service they provided me. Velma started me out with a very honest quote and when the guys arrived on the day of the move everything went as expected. They delivered my things the next day to Arizona and moved me in a very timely fashion. Never easy choosing a service but I feel I've made the right choice, hope you will too.

Awful! Use at your own risk!

The worst moving company! I don't even know where to start. I've already read a few of the horrible reviews for this company on other sites and I'm pretty much in agreement with the majority of what's been said. Strangely, some review sites are good. Which could possibly be because they are the ones writing the reviews! Also, they have changed addresses and phone numbers frequently. Shady business practices! So. I've already posted on a couple review sites, and I'll continue to let everyone know about my experience. I was already very weary of using presto logistics because of the reviews, but I decided to give them a shot any, hoping that it was just part of the deal. Usually, only unhappy people write reviews. But. Unfortunately, I learned the hard way that these people will tell you whatever they think you want to hear to earn your business. But follow up on those promises is a complete joke. Once they picked up our stuff (actual movers were great, by the way) I learned very quickly that these people had no concern for the amount of time it would take to get them on the road.  After more than 2 weeks of trying to get a hold of the person (Ryan) who sold me on this company, I was finally told that the stuff was on it's way from Los Angeles to WA. Let me be clear. Ryan never once returned a call after they had our money and belongings. I was irate at the amount of time it took to even get on the road!  He originally told me 10 days was typically the longest it would take to get everything to WA. After 2.5 weeks of waiting for any type of answer from these people, Danielle (supposedly the head of customer service - what a joke) told me the stuff was loaded and on its way. It wasn't until 3 days later that I received a call from dispatch letting me know my stuff was being loaded and would leave in the next couple days. What? I was already told it was on its way! Once again. Nobody would return my calls. They told me to read the contract - which was about 10 pages - to see that they legally had up to 21 business days to deliver. Funny, considering that they came on a Sunday to pick everything up. I assumed they worked every day. I was able to find the part that stated the time frame. Which was on the back of one of the pages in small writing. Also funny, considering they had me sign and initial in about 20 different areas. Why was this section left out of those areas explained to me and I initialed? Lovely how they will tell you one thing and hide the truth! I have worked managing apartment buildings for 12 years and I let everyone who is about to move know not to use presto logistics! Which is sort of sad for them? I could have easily referred 10 customers per month to them had they been good at what they do. They may be one of the least expensive. But believe me, you barely even get what you pay for with these idiots. If you have any questions or concerns about using them for your move. Please feel free to contact me and I'll be happy to elaborate on my experience. I'm not even going to get into what happened upon arrival with our stuff.  Read other reviews and you'll pretty much get the idea. Good luck and save yourself a lot of stress and anger by using a different mover. I doubt anyone could be worse to deal with.

Long-distance move from California to Arkansas

Move from Lompoc to Little Rock.

I was relocated by my company and they gave the job of finding a mover. It wasn't the funnest thing to do because there are a billion companies out there. I went with Presto which is in California but they weren't in Lompoc. They gave me a very good rate compared to the companies that were here and they packed all my boxes at a reasonable rate as well. I want to let everyone know that this job was done to my satisfaction and I will let my company know to use them in the future when needed. .

Overall service.

This company has terrible business practices and is decietful and dishonest.  The will give you low quotes and many assurances, but DO NOT LISTEN!  It will end up costing you, both financially, and emotionally.  It took 55 days for me to recieve my delivery from the company.  I was hung up on by sales people, ignored, messages left unreturned (and they were polite messages, not abusive or rude), and more.  They raised the price multiple times before eventually delivering.  Basically holding my things hostage, although according to their contract, they were within their limits.  This company behaves in a completely unnacceptable way.  Please take my warning, and AVOID Presto Logistics/Presto Movers AT ALL COSTS.

Catalina move.

I needed a good price on a move from los angeles to the long beach port because my move from the port to Catalina was very expensive. I got a great price from them and they did a great job packing everything into the container for me.. I really didn't have to touch anything it was a real breeze. They wrapped all my furniture with disposable blankets and kept my stufff from getting damaged. They also helped me with setting up a mover in catalina for the move in to my house. Very very very helpful. Thanks so much!

Long-distance move from California to North Carolina

Great Job.

I read a lot of the reviews online before choosing Presto and I brought them up to the rep who was helping me Ryan. He took the time to even read through some of the reviews with me to address some of my concerns. He also brought me to many other websites where there are no filters on reviews and ratings websites such as the BBB and DOT.

Overall I must say that my experience was pleasant. Some of the things I was worried about like a shuttle truck that could be a large fee with any company didn't end up coming up on my move thankfully. The men who came out to my home were quick and worked well together. The guys in my new home in North Carolina were just as good.

There were a few dings on my dresser but that was really the only negative thing I can say. Otherwise, Ryan, the crews, and Presto as a whole were excellent.

Long-distance move from Virginia to California

Unacceptable behavior.

Presto Logistics picked up my belongings in Virginia to Deliver to california, Robert one of the movers contacted me saying they were on their way. The asked to drop off a day early and I was working so had to stick with the regular schedule. He said he had to stay at a hotel and continued to call me to come over and sleep with him. (to have relations) the harassment continued even after my things were dropped off. Many of my items were missing, damaged and dirty. Then he said I still owed 2 thousand more dollars of I would be sent to collections. I still have all the text sent to me including a picture he sent of his tiny little member. This is not the way to win a woman over and not a way to treat a client. I have tried to contact the company and no one will call me back or even listen to what I have to say. If this does not get resolved I will seek legal actions.

Long-distance move from California to Texas

Job well done.

Being born and raised in San Diego made it very hard to leave.. The move process is grueling and the last thing I wanted was to have to deal with unnecessary stress with a move company. I called around quite a bit, being on a tight budget I wanted to find the best deal. I spoke with Henry at Presto at least 5 times before scheduling, he assured me that even though his estimate wasn't the cheapest it was the most realistic. Going to Houston and they have hubs in Dallas and ATL it made me comfortable knowing. I'll never know if Henry was right that I couldn't have got a better price for a similar service but I know that they came through big time! They're not based on San Diego but they came in on time 8 AM the day I needed them and got me my stuff in Houston a little over a week later, it took me 3 days to get there so it wasn't too bad. I appreciate the efforts and a job well done! .

Do not hire Presto logistics as your moving company.

Do not hire this company to move your stuff!!
I hired presto logistics after getting several bids from other moving companies. I settled on them because they weren't the cheapest or the most expensive and it was the worst mistake I've ever made. I hired them to move us from Atlanta to Philadelphia. Not only did they show up a day and a half late. They were scheduled to have four to six guys there and only two showed up. it took 10 and a half hours to load the truck and that was with me helping them I had to pay them a premium price to load my own truck. Not to mention as soon as they finally loaded the truck up throwing carelessly all of my stuff on to the truck they proceeded to charge me an extra $3100. Now because of this out of already having paid them $2800 this became a much more expensive move then when I ever expected. After dealing with the customer service lady ,Velma, who must be bipolar because everything she said she went back on she lied repeatedly changed her decision from time to time on what she had said. And what they also charged me. When I proceeded to ask if I could process the billing and the two separate payments she said that would be no problem we will just hold your stuff hostage until you pay your moving expenses in full. When they finally arrived to bring me my stuff when they finally arrived to the Philadelphia area a few weeks later. Almost every item that they took off the truck was broken damaged or in horrible disarray. This was one of the worst experiences I've had done with not only customer service from a company but dealing from the service side as well they stole thousands of dollars from me in work that was not done correctly. And then they damaged tens of thousands of dollars for the stuff that I probably will not get which I probably will not be able to replace all of it because they will only give me a percentage of the amount that was damaged. Some of these items are family heirlooms that you cannot put a monetary value on to them. So if you think about using this moving company I highly suggest you think twice and then throw all your stuff in the garbage and throw away thousands of dollars you'll probably save money. I wish you all a very happy move good luck especially if you decide to use this company because you will need it.

In good conscience, I cannot recomment.

Their level of care does not match their level of customer service. A slew of my items were damaged, broken and missing. In fact, a bulk of my furniture could not be assembled upon delivery by the drivers because parts were missing. The drivers were in such awe of the poor workmanship that they called customer service to confirm the poor packing and management on the company's part. I am in the process now of resolving this in a claim, but I wish I would have chosen another company altogether to save myself the trouble. Consequently, I would not recommend Presto Logistics for any move of any size. Aforementioned, their level of care does not match their level of customer service.

Excellent service as promised.

I usually never write reviews but I am often swayed by them so when I ended up choosing Presto after seeing all of the feedback that I did, I promised Danny (my sales rep) that I would write a review good or bad. He was very confident in the service that he was selling and assured me and showed me what I needed to see to make the decision to go with them. I got calls from all over and went with my gut and I am so happy that I did.

I had an amazing experience from start to finish. The men showed up on time on both ends of my move. They were very nice and helped me with things that weren't part of my contract (they took a fridge downstairs to the curb). They put everything where I wanted it and left an organized pile of all the boxes and plastic wrap they used for the move. I wanted them to take it but other than that I couldn't be happier.

All of my stuff was intact, I am still not finished unpacking but I opened every box and skimmed thru most of it and it looks like we have everything. Very highly recommended and ask for Danny when you call.

Long-distance move from Los Angeles, CA to Eugene, OR

Move from SoCal to Oregon.

When we contacted Presto Logistics for our move, everyone was super nice and helpful. Henry came out for the estimate. I was told we had approximately 1200 cu ft. Once our belongings were loaded, we were then told we had 1800 cu ft. Since the truck was a 26 ft, I'm not sure how it could fit 1800 cu ft. The cost went up 36%. I inquired about an 18 wheeler getting down our street, and was told that if they had to rent a smaller truck and load it, it would be about $600 additional. When our furniture finally arrived, as expected the truck would not fit down our street. The driver said he had to get a smaller truck, and the cost would be an additional $2,100. We had no choice. The delivery was made at night. Our bed and dresser were broken and boxes were missing. I called Presto and was given a web site to file the loss. Once I received the info, it said not to do any repairs. At his point repairs were already made (I wasn't going to sleep on the floor in thirty degree weather).

This move went from $4,650 to $9,270. Over double the original estimate. Thank goodness the delivery guy took the extra fee from $2,100 to $1,260. I feel like I was completely misled on this move.

From Start to Finish: Henry with Presto Moving was great. Not one thing was broken. Not one thing was missing.

All of our stuff was accounted for..

Upon arrival the driver was great. He was very professional and caring with out stuff.

Second to none!

My experience with Presto was second to none. I really felt like I was given extraordinary service but it seems that this is their standard practices. Henry came out to my house to give me a quote, then on the day of the move he was fully available and I had to talk to him at 6 am when the crew arrived. He kept me updated until I got my delivery and even after when I had some minor damage to a couple of pieces. Keep up the great work Presto, can’t wait for you to move my parents cross country also!

Thank you Presto for an amazing moving experience!

What an amazing moving team! From Dave to Henry to Ricardo to Jay they all took care of me step by step throughout the entire move. Dave contact me initially and went over enough information with me that I felt comfortable enough to have him schedule his manager to come to my home and give me a firm quote. Henry came out and couldn’t be more polite and up front about the process which I loved. He scheduled his A team because Ricardo and his crew came to my house and handled my belongings like their own. They were fast but they clearly knew what they were doing. Jay the driver on delivery hired a crew locally, one of the guys wasn’t really following orders but other than that the driver had a handle on everything and didn’t leave until I was completely satisfied. Thank you Presto for an amazing moving experience!

WARNING - PRESTO UPCHARGE TACTICS

Based on other reviews I read I was not the only one who had used car sales tactics used on them. I too had an estimate performed by their estimator and when the move occurred and half way through the load of our things, were told that we had a choice of paying 1/3 more than the estimate or they can leave everything that would not fit within the estimated volume. They used our personal belongings and the fact that we were in the middle of moving from CA to UT as leverage to upcharge the costs. Additionally, because of their inability to schedule (even though we confirmed our delivery date multiple times) we had to pay the $500 unload and load charge at their warehouse. Even though they underestimated the volume and were going to reload to a semi for final delivery to us anyway. This also cost us an additional 2 weeks of hotel costs waiting for them to deliver! And finally, sometime during the reloading at their warehouse, upon receiving our things almost 50% of our boxes/plastic crates were either broken, crushed and/or damaged in one way or the other. And of course since they did not do the packing they were not responsible (per contract). Finally, I caution anyone who is thinking about using Presto to be careful of their estimating, pricing and deliver schedules. Once they have your furniture/items they use it as leverage to upcharge and deliver on their timeline not concerned with the customer. Now it make sense why they want the final payment in cash so that you cannot hold up payment for the bad service they provide nor have any leverage with them in arguing costs or quality of the services. The quality and concern for your items is obviously not a priority to them. I would find some other more reputable moving service and avoid the frustration of dealing with Presto.

Presto Logistics was a great choice that worked out well for me. They were there on time and called 1hr out to confirm their ETA. They were careful packing and loading boxes. Once loaded the transportation of our furniture was excellent. Minimum issues...damage. They exceeded my expectations for delivery to my new destination. The unloading was handled with professionalism, courtesy and excellence. Overall an out of state move is expensive and when you spend that amount of money, the next best thing is to receive excellent service. Presto Logistics delivered!

Same as several here

After getting a FaceTime walk through estimate with Korvin or Henry, we ended up paying twice as much. Partly because the one person in charge of the loaders, Martin, failed to pass on to the other men the many items that were not supposed to go. I told him exactly what to leave behind , but we ended up with these items.

Apparently, our items were thrown from the trucks into a holding warehouse and then thrown into a truck for delivery, because some items were so crushed, that I would not be able to "weigh" the shard of glass in order to make a claim.

And if you want to make a claim, be sure you keep the boxes that the crushed items were in, because you will need the invoice numbers from the boxes in order to make your claim. You will also need proof of the cost or value of the item. So that vase your daughter painted for your birthday, or the trivet your son made with his hand print when he was in kindergarten-you will need to prove it's value.

I don't even know how much tossing and crushing would have to be done to crush stainless steel bowls or how they crushed the taillight of the quad or partially destroyed the reclining mechanism of the sofa. We happen to think that a lot of it is intentional.

Bottom line, these people do not care about your personal items. They doubled the price, even after Henry did an "on site evaluation" And they insist on cash at delivery, which I'm sure, as others have mentioned, cannot be legal for a business.

Long-distance move from Los Angeles, CA to Scottsdale, AZ

What an amazing experience with this company!

What an amazing experience with this company! I asked for everything to be packed, my company was paying for the move but up to a certain budget. Presto was able to fit right in that budget. Henry came out and couldn’t be nicer, he worked with me on the pricing to make sure it would work. He explained the entire process and I felt like I was in good hands from there and I was. The crew that picked up in LA and the crew that came and delivered in Scottsdale were amazing. Mario and his son Abraham were an excellent team and took care of my every need. I will definitely recommend!
