Long-distance move from Asbury Park, NJ to San Diego, CA

Don't ever use this company. They are liars and cheats!

I had my quote from Nick for 2600 to move a livingroom, a dinning room set, a dresser and a bed.
They Charge you for the tape at $3.00 a roll add $300.00 for no reason and they don't tell you until they show up.
Then they said the load was larger because of the size of the items so the salesman's quote was being raised to $4200 from $2700..

They promised me 7 to 10 days delivery to California from NJ.
Then they called and lied to me three or four times telling me my truck was loading tomorrow. They never return calls.
They forced me to sign a contract for the increase as they were leaving with my furniture that I never got a chan ce to read.
On it they allow themselves 6 days to their dc and 30 business days top deliver your furniture.
They Lie, cheat and steal from you.

Never use them they are a fraud!

Long-distance move from Texas to Michigan

Company has had my stuff since December 20th and won't call me or answ.

This company has had my 3 bedroom house since December 20th and won't call me or answer the phone. Mark was my salesperson. The people who picked up my things were outstanding. They did a great job. The dispatch department people made me feel like they weren't concerns about me getting my items. It's January 21st and I still don't have my stuff. No one will answer the phone. The company's Message is now just taking voicemail. I'm a 57 year old single person who has lost everything. I have been told 3 didn't dates to expect my things. I living in a home with nothing in it. Im paying rent and bills in a place where I can't even live in. I'm borrowing money just to buy clothes for work.I tried to work with a Jessica Parker in dispatch but she could care less. My next step is, I will have to sue this company. It will never replaced all that I have lost.

Long-distance move from Nevada to Montana

Presidential Movers SUCK! Unprofessional!!

I moved from Reno, NV to Billings, Montana. David Hilton was my slick talking salesman who when we signed the contract on November 28, 2018 assured me my belongings would be delivered to my new home within 14 days. I'm writing this review on January 22, 2018 and my belongings still have not arrived. I have no idea when or IF my stuff will ever be delivered because after dozens and dozens of calls, texts and emails to Presidential Movers they will not return calls or messages. I spent $6500.00 with this company and they won't call back. That's terrible customer service. I did actually get to talk to a person in the dispatch office once a few weeks ago who said my items were being loaded on a truck and would be delivered to my home within a few days. That was a few weeks ago and the truck still has not arrived and I'm still waiting for the office to return another dozen calls and emails. I have contacted David Hilton a few times to complain about the poor service his company has provided and he says it's not his problem because he's in sales and it's not his responsibility to ensure the customer actually gets what they pay for. (Really? That's your response? You just took $6500.00 from me and you don't want to be bothered by actually getting the stuff moved?). Anyhow, long story short I have now filed a complaint against Presidential Movers with the federal transportation department and Better Business Bureau. I also have filed a police report with the Billings, Montana Police Department and the Reno, Nevada police department to report that my belongings were stolen from my home by this fraudulent company. I suppose I will be forced to take this situation to arbitration and/or hire an attorney to get my belongings back. Everything I own is in a storage facility or a truck somewhere and Presidential Movers doesn't seem to care. The very few times I have actually been able to reach a real life person in their office it has been a frustrating experience dealing with an incompetent teenager who answers the phone or a rude and condescending office manager who has told me they don't have enough trucks available to get my belongings delivered (imagine a trucking company that can't seem to come up with enough trucks and drivers to make a delivery within two months--again really? How do you stay in business?!!). I live two states away and it takes this company more than two months to get a truck rounded up to get it here--ridiculous! I could have moved my stuff on horseback and had it here by now. I am seeking a refund and an apology from this company. The last time I spoke with the teenager who answers the phones in the dispatcher office she told me the apparently one and only person who schedules the trucks isn't around and she's not sure when the dispatcher is coming into the office. Well, how about giving the dispatcher a call to find out what is going on? Ever thought of doing that?! Geez. So, this company only lies and makes up excuses. I'm done playing their games. I will call the police to have them here at my house to keep the peace when and IF I ever get my stuff delivered. I'm beyond angry with this band of goons. I will be so glad when this is all over with. I've been sleeping in the floor in my unfurnished home waiting for The past 8 weeks for Presidential Movers to finally contact me about my belongings. This company doesn't really seem to care about customer service. Do yourself a big favor and hire a better more professional and reputable company than Presidential Movers. This company is a big disappointment. I've moved across the country four times in recent years for work. I've hired quite a few movers over the years and I've never had such a horrible experience as I've had with Presidential Movers. Hire somebody else. Presidential Movers job reference number: T2166895. Too bad I didn't have any of my belongings over the holidays as I was promised by your lying salesman David Hilton. It would have been nice to had a Christmas tree but instead we had to sit on the floor and stare out the front window in hopes that the Presidential Movers truck would pull up in our driveway. We are still waiting for the truck to arrive a month later. I'm a real customer. This is a true account of the events involving my very expensive and frustrating move after hiring Presidential Novers in good faith. Thanks for listening. Im sure the company will try to sugar coat things with some sort of insincere response. Sorry too late.

Long-distance move from Prattville, AL to Morristown, TN

Worst Company Ever.

Our items were picked up on 1/7/18. Movers were timely and polite, did a great job..we were optimistic. Cost was over 1k more than we were quoted, but we paid it kindly and tipped our movers well. We asked for 60 day storage as we were in the process of buying a home..we did not provide a delivery address because we had not purchased a home yet. We were told that was fine and to provide the delivery address later. We have had tried calling, website inquiries, voicemails, emails..NOTHING!! We have no idea where our belongings are or if we will ever see them again. My husband and I are both federal attorneys- we should have done our homework. We will not let this go. If we are not promptly contact and our items are not delivered we will be taking legal action against this company and will not rest until we know they can never ruin anyone elses lives. Our stuff is not just "stuff" to us- it is our entire lives in boxes. Our memories, our wedding pictures, family relics, etc. Has anyone had luck with any certain rep for Presidential? Any phone numbers you used where you actually got to speak to someone? Presidential..I hope, for your sake, that you read this review and make it right.

Long-distance move from Southaven, MS to North Charleston, SC

Very Sad Company.

I have to say, I have had some pretty bad experiences in my time but this one was tough, first we were quoted a price, well guess what, yeah that's right they under quote you to get your business then BAM $3000 more than the quote, and you don't find this out till your stuff is already on the truck (you have one job to do that you do all day long and you miss the mark by 500 cubic feet) and we didn't even move all the stuff we listed over the phone and he was still off. Second..communitcation, it seems everyone in this company works from a cell phone and no one calls you back, well that is unless you owe them money they then call you several times a day, their main line even went to a voice mail I am sure it never gets checked, now the movers that came and packed our stuff did a knock out job they were the best part of this whole process, now to my broken stuff, nesting table that are mirrored ($700.00) one broken, ottoman for my chair ($1000.00) broken, and nice gouges in my foot board of our bedroom set which cost us about $2000 total, so if you want to add it all up was quoted $3200 and ended up costing us right at $6000 and add the furniture that was damaged we are just about $10,000.00 for the move in total, we will never use this company again nor suggest them to move anyone else.

Long-distance move from Hackensack, NJ to Houston, TX

Still waiting.

First, we scheduled the pick up for Monday the the 15th. Then they called on the 13th stating they were coming on the 14th, which completely messed up the plans I had and made me have to rush to pack the rest of my stuff. During the whole planning of the move, Ethan had given me his number and stated he would personally be helping me and any problems I had all I had to do was text him.
Well the 14th came and two younger guys came with an enterprise truck. One guy didn’t speak any English. I immediately called Ethan and of course got no answer. I then called the company number and left a voicemail. They finally called me back and stated that they couldn’t fit their truck down my street so they were going to bring it to their facility and then put it on their truck.
It then took over 30 minutes for them to figure out how to pull the truck in the driveway so they could load it. The loading went quick and fine. They stated that the truck would be leaving with my stuff on Tuesday the 16th.
They stated it would take approximately 3 days to drive the truck down meaning the 19th. I called them on the drive down. No answer. I reached Houston and called again. No answer. Finally on Friday the 19th they finally answered and advised me that they were just loading the truck due to bad weather. I became very angry due to the fact that I was not notified about anything and was expecting my stuff that day. I would not have been mad if they had just called ahead of time and told me what was going on. They then stated it would be another 3-4 days until my stuff arrived. I have called them everyday, leaving numerous voicemails. I have texted Ethan with no answers at all.
The last person that answered was someone named Alex from customer service, on the 19th, who stated he would personally find out what was going on and what he could do. Never received a call back nor do they answer at all. I moved down to Houston with what I could fit in my pick up truck. No furniture. No interview clothes. Nothing else.

Long-distance move from San Luis Obispo, CA to Philadelphia, PA

I just want my stuff back!

I've never paid anyone to move me before so I didn't know what to expect.
I truly though however, that my meager belongings would make it to their destination from California to Philadelphia.
Everything was great through moving day. The guys came, loaded up my stuff. Since then, the company has completely disappeared. I managed a couple of times to get through to someone who told me repeatedly that they had not scheduled my delivery.
Mark, who was always so prompt about answering or returning calls no longer answers or returns my messaged.
I have been sleeping on a craig's list futon for weeks, basically camping in my new home with no end in sight.
I don't know what to do or where to turn since in the last two days when I call the office number it's an error message.
Why, WHY won't someone call me back? Nothing I own is worth the 4000.00 I gave this company to move my stuff. It was books and household goods and a couple of bikes.
I just want my stuff back. Won't SOMEONE call me and schedule?

Long-distance move from Fresno, CA to Tucson, AZ

From Fresno, California To Tucson, Arizona.

I moved from Fresno, CA to Tucson, AZ. I normally don't write reviews for anything but with my experience with this moving company, I thought my review will save someone from going through the pain and problems I am going through.

First when we got the quote, Lisa, the sales person was very nice and answering phone right away. She quoted me $2100.00 for moving stuff for 2 bed Apt. I paid deposit of $525.00 by CC. Everything was fine until the day before picking up my order they called to confirm, the dispatch person told me some of the items are not fully listed in the quote so my price will be $2873.65. I called Lisa back and of course she is not answering phone any more. Finally I agree to that since it was the day before picking up my stuff. Now I had to pay another deposit of $343.41 based on the whatever the % they have. I Paid that as well by CC.

Other then the big items like furniture and beds and some office stuff, I had 25 large boxes in the quote. I only had 7 or 8 large and 15 or 16 medium boxes in place of large along with the other furniture. So, nothing that was not part of the quote.

On the day of the pick up 2 guys showed up and one of them was not even speaking English. They load up my stuff and told me that my total CF are about 300 more then the actual quote and my new Total is $4346.68. Now my cost is $1500+ more then the quoted price. I started asking the guy who spoke English, how come the CF went up so much. There is nothing extra I gave it to them that was not listed on the quote. The guy told me that, I have to talk to the office. Of course, It was around 8 pm and no one is going to answer the phone. I called Lisa my sales rep because she told me that he phone is being forwarded to cell phone so I can call if I have any issue but she did not answer my phone. I had no choice other then paying half of the remaining balance from new total to the Driver so I paid by Ck $1739.00 thinking I will talk to the office in the morning. I started calling them everyday and after couple of days I got hold of Lisa and she told me that driver has not sent in the paperwork yet, as soon as they have it she will check and fix it. It's been 2 1/2 months and no resolution. I have not been able to speak with anyone regarding this.

Here is the worse part, today is January 25,2018 and my house hold items are still not delivered. I have been calling and calling nothing happens. Half the time they don't pick up the phone and some times they pick up after being on the hold for 1/2 hour, they keep telling me that it is under scheduling. I have spoke to Jessica and Melanie who are dispatch person and Alex who is dispatch supervisor or mgr. Also they have told me that I have to speak to Ana for by billing issue but Ana never pikes up the phone or returns the call if we leave message. For 2 1/2 months I have been without my house hold items. I am living at one of my relative since I don't have my stuff. I have a small baby who is now 5 months old. Lots of my baby stuff, my business related stuff are in there. Me and my wife had to go buy some extra clothes for us and baby and bunch of other stuff we had to get. All of these costed bunch of extra money. No one is answering or replying our phone calls. We have been waiting for the delivery for more then 2 months.

I have just filed complain to BBB, FMCSA and Police about this. I hope some at presidential Moving take responsibility and deliver my stuff in good condition. I really really need my stuff back and I will take more steps to get it. I do have pictures of my stuff along with driver and the truck.

Long-distance move from Florida to New York

Scammers!

We were originally quoted 7500.00 dollars. Of course their “expert” Mike went over all the stuff we wanted moved and assured us there would be no surprises. 2 days before we were to move there was a surprise. It jumped to 18000. We had to pay them another deposit right away. We were closing on our house in two days and had to be out of the house. We had to pay. They hold you hostage. Everyone is wonderful in the beginning, but then they all disappear once they get your money. They lied about everything. They don’t have their own trucks or workers. It’s all subcontracted out to off the book workers. They made a big show of putting stickers on all our boxes, but they are meaningless. The two guys who delivered our stuff had no idea what was what and wanted us to open every box, which we did. Unfortunately, it seems someone had already done that and gone through all of our stuff, and then jumbled it all up and threw it back in the boxes. These people should be put out of business for ever. I felt like I’ve been robbed and mugged all in one.

Long-distance move from New Bern, NC to Davidsonville, MD

Stay away from Presidential Moving.

I contracted with Presidential Moving to pick up items from my mother’s house in New Bern N.C. and drop them off at my house in Davidsonville, MD. I gave the salesman a list of items to be shipped and he gave me a quote. The quote included 704cf of truck space based on the items I listed for him and “no charge” for packing 2 mattresses. 2 mattresses because I told him I had two beds - 1 king bed and 1 queen bed to ship. The quote estimate was $2,466.00.
Three men showed up to pick up my items in N.C. at 3pm. The foreman walked through the house to see what items we were shipping. Again, the estimate by the salesman was 704cf. The foreman said this looked right and further commented that we didn’t have the much in the house to ship. At 6pm, AFTER loading the truck, the foreman said he needed to increase the cf on the bill to 1,000cf. I complained because we didn’t alter the amount of items to be picked up from what we told the salesman. The foreman insisted that the salesmen for the company always underestimate the cubic feet. A little off I could understand but I couldn’t see how they could be that far off. This was more than a 40% markup. He also added a charge for mattress packing. When I pointed out that the quote said free packing, he said I had 3 mattresses even though I only had 2 beds. He never was able to explain this to me. Again, all my stuff was already closed up in the truck.
I tried calling the salesman but he wouldn’t answer the phone or call me back. After much complaining, the foreman called his supervisor and after 2 hours of dickering they gave me a $600.00 adjustment but this was still an $800.00 increase from the original estimate. Then they said I had 3 options.
1. Accept the new price.
2. Pay $1,200.00 to unload the truck.
3. Take off enough items to bring the cf to 700cf. They didn’t say how much this option would cost and I didn’t ask.
It was now 8pm. The salesmen I kept trying to call never gave me a call back. I was alone with no options but to give up. Then the foreman wouldn’t give me a receipt for the load. He would only let me take a picture of the paperwork with my cell phone. This was also very troubling.
When our furniture in Maryland arrived, and unloaded, we were surprised to see that our furniture took up so little room on this drop-off truck. So we talked to the foremen. We measured. They was no question about the amount of room that our furniture took because it was the only room available on the truck now. The drop off measurement was witnessed by the drop-off driver. Our furniture was the first off the truck. We measured to the ceiling even though the furniture didn’t go to the ceiling. We measured to the back door even though our furniture didn’t touch the back door. These measurements were 9.4 x 10 x 8.4. This comes to 789cf. Considering the space not used, we estimate that our shipment was no more than 750cf. Certainly not 1000cf.
I called the salesman, John Walker, again to see about a refund. He has yet to return my calls. I called customer service. They haven’t returned my calls. Anna and Brie were two that told me that I had to pay the extra but neither one has been courteous enough to return my calls. I emailed Phoebia who tried to get me to sign off on the bad cost. She hasn’t returned my email. I emailed info@presidentialmoving.com and Jessica@presidentialmoving.com and I sent a letter to Presidential Moving Services LLC, 3006 Ave E, Arlington, TX 77084. I haven’t received a call from anyone.
I paid a total of $3200.00. Using 750cf instead of the quoted 704cf would make the new amount $2,643.07 so I am due a refund of $556.93. I filed a compliant with BBB but have still not heard from Presidential Moving.

Presidential Moving Services.

We moved from Missouri to Vancouver, Wa. They put our things in storage for 5 months. Three months after they picked up our stuff we started hearing bad things about the company. We tried to call but all numbers had been disconnected. Out of the blue a month after the scheduled delivery a truck shows up with our stuff, most of it anyway. Many items missing, broke or damaged! Our cost had doubled and they would not release items until paid. Local police would not help! Since than 12 individuals have been indicted. This can be googled. If this has happened to you, call 800-424-9071 o r hotline@oig.dot.gov. You can also file with the department of transportation in your area.

Long-distance move from Charleston, SC to Avondale, AZ

Scammers.

Update: we got our belongings 2 days ago and are NOT pleased. Lots of damage. This was my yelp review and wanted to repost it to get it on another site to hopefully help someone else not to be scammed by this dishonest company..

I honestly don't even know where to start with this review. I don't even want to give one star. First of all after requesting a quote we were called repeatedly in order to secure our business at all hours of the day and night. My husband and I did vast amounts of research about this company and after being reassured and reassured by AARON MICHAELS we finally decided to book. He guaranteed a one to two day pick up AND delivery window. We have still not received our belongings of which includes a very expensive Harley Davidson motorcycle. We were going to use uhaul in order to be able to have eyes on our things as we made our move from South Carolina to Arizona, but decided that even though it would be cheaper to move things ourselves that we would use this moving company. Again we were reassured by AARON MICHAELS, who btw is ignoring every phone call we have tried to make to him in the last 3 days, that we were making the better choice. When the movers showed up, they both stated that they had been in the country from Russia and the Ukraine for less than 3 months, which was a bit shady, but neither here nor there as they had our paperwork. They tried to charge us for several things that were not agreed upon. We should have never put our things on that truck. If the company was affected by any natural disaster they should have communicated that there may be a delay in delivery, etc. We have been hung up on, laughed at and talked to disrespectfully by everyone we have tried to contact in order to find out where OUR belongings are. They called us a few days prior to our delivery date and asked if we could accept our truck earlier. We said no we agreed on a certain date with AARON MICHAELS when we booked and once again he reassured us that was perfect and it would be no problem at all and no more than a two day delivery window again. When we spoke with a dispatch agent she said the company has up to 30 days to deliver which was NEVER told to us by our reservation agent AARON MICHAELS. the dispatch manager JESSICA has never returned one phone call after over 15 messages have been left for her specifically. We spoke with BRIE SHELDON today and I have never been treated so disrespectfully as we were by her. She assured us someone would be getting ahold of us by 5:00 today and what do you know? No one has called us and every line is busy that we try to connect with. I recommend no one uses this company ever, unless you like being In the complete dark the minute they collect any money from you. The next move for us is calling the police since no one can tell us where OUR belongings are. I don't understand why no one can tell us an estimate of when our things will be here and where they are now. When I spoke to AARON MICHAELS on Friday he said he spoke with dispatch and our truck would be there by the next day, which was an obvious lie. We are at our wits end with this, I have missed job interviews and can't even cook a meal for my family and am sleeping on the floor in an empty house. I truly hope someone from the company reads this and has some sort of sense to call us or make this right, as we have left messages on EVERY SINGLE EXTENSION with no return call or anything. It's pretty amazing that you can get through when you push one to book a truck but no one can help as soon as you ask what is going on with your belongings.. really really really upset at this point and don't know if we should start looking at options to take care of this such as the Arlington police, the better business bureau and so forth as we feel that we have basically been robbed at this point because no one has been in contact. I was leery to even post this with the worry that we may never see our belongings again, but it seems like this is the only way to get through to this company. We explained what a hardship this move was to begin with as far as family being sick and needing to be closer and feel very taken advantage of at this point.

Long-distance move from Atlanta, GA to New York, NY

Fraud, deceit and poor service.

From start to finish there wasn't one part of the journey that was acceptable except that the pick up arrived on time. Otherwise the company lied about everything. We requested full pack service and the contract stated it was a flat fee - it wasn't, it was scalable. We estimated the size of the move with an in home inspection by another mover. These guys once loaded claimed an extra 20%. The goods arrived 3 days late and at delivery, they claimed the need for shuttle service which they initially said would not be needed. If you want to get fleeced, these are your guys.

Long-distance move from Lexington, KY to Clarksville, TN

Horrible customer service.

After showing up late, blocking the street, and loading a loud Enterprise rental truck until 11 PM I was told I was way over my quote and I was lucky it fit. I had no extra items at all. After my furniture was shoved into the truck, I was told my move went from $2400 to $4200! I moved 212 miles away. I have now been waiting and begging for information about my furniture for 19 days!! When I get a rare response, the person is rude and of course doesn't know a thing and will have to call back. Guess what? No calls back! I've even gotten a fast busy signal when I try back the exact number that called me!
So, last week I was told they would be here Sunday or Monday.. it's now Friday!! I have never been treated so horribly. And I actually paid for this! At this point I am completely convinced that any glorious review is completely fabricated. Also starting to believe I won't ever see that furniture again!

Long-distance move from Illinois to Arizona

Disappointing.

At this point I am very frustrated. After spending hours/days researching moving companies looking at DOT records and reviews, I had thought I had selected an outstanding company. I can understand that there have been hurricane problems, but we never received a call to update our inventory last week. When I sent our rep an updated inventory list on August 30th, the list was not forwarded. On Sunday afternoon, we received a call letting us know that the movers would arrive between 8-9 on Monday. I asked about the updated inventory list and the gal said she was not responsible for that. They arrived with at truck that was too small and had to make two trips. There have been repeated calls since last Friday to all of the numbers I have as well as emails to our customer service representative. The movers that came on Monday, told us that we owed an additional $4000 due to extra cubic feet and packing costs, almost 50% more than the original estimate. Now I am seeing that others are having the same problems in our "time frame." As others have said, the service has been terrible. Actually a better statement would be there has been no service. Our customer service rep is not answering phone calls or recent emails the past few days. Other recent reviews seem to have the same opinion. I am absolutely clueless as to when our belongings might be arriving. We were told Saturday, but after reading the other recent reviews, I am not very hopeful.

Long-distance move from Sacramento, CA to Grand Rapids, MI

Scammers.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. These scam artist scumbags have given us the worst, most stressful moving experience of our lives. It has been over three weeks and they do not know where our stuff is or when it will be arriving. These guys keep telling us that Hurricane Harvey shut down their business but when we made the agreement they told me they were based out of Arlington, near Dallas, which was NOT impacted by the hurricane. Even if they had been evacuated it's not like they don't have access to phones. There is NO EXCUSE for not taking a minute to make a call to let your customer know what's going on.

It began when they called on our moving day to tell us that they would not be able to make it. After telling them that wasn't an option the dispatch went back and forth between me and the driver for several hours before finally telling me that there was nothing they could do for us. 10 minutes later I got a call from the driver himself saying he was at our house. Having been told they weren't coming, I asked why the confusion, he replied that "the woman from dispatch doesn't know what she's talking about". Dogging people from your own company? Shady.. Being out of state, I had to call my fiance back to the house after she had already left after waiting around with our baby nearly 8 hours. The truck drivers showed up in an Enterprise truck, which I only found out after the fact. I was promised by this company that they were NOT brokers, that they had their own trucks with their own drivers. That is clearly not the case, and I am mad about being lied to, as that was a major reason that I paid a premium to go with this company thinking that they would be more reliable than a broker. Then, like the other recent reviews, the drivers proceeded to tell us that we had gone over our allotted space, and that we would have to pay close to $1000 more than we had been quoted. When we made our contract I was very specifically told that our quote would be what we would pay, that we wouldn't have any hidden fees or other surprises on moving day. Shady..

After pickup on 9/2 we didn't hear a peep from them. I began to get concerned after a week but had no luck after calling, emailing and leaving multiple voicemails with all the people I had dealt with at the company. I was finally able to speak with someone on 9/18, who told us that the dispatch would be calling us shortly. Two days go by with no reply from them. It is now 9/23 and they don't know where our stuff is. They are defending their terrible service by reminding us that they legally have up to 30 days to move our stuff. At this point I'm not sure we are going to see our belongings again. These jagoffs have no problem making contracts and cashing checks, but they can't come through with their end of the bargain. You've been warned..

Long-distance move from Bowling Green, KY to Dothan, AL

Very pleased.

I was relocating for a new position at my company in Alabama. After being called by half a dozen people who begged for my credit card, I spoke with Amber who made me feel comfortable and like I mattered. She walked me through the entire process and when move day came the picture she painted came to life. The price was very fair and the move went very smooth. Thank you Presidential, I will highly recommend you all.

Long-distance move from Thomasville, GA to Dayton, OH

Perfect move.

I have only moved one other time in my life and my experience was no where near up to par. I had to move to be closer to my family and was contacted by numerous movers. I was very hesitant at first, but Amber was very polite and thorough with explaining everything that was to happen. Now the so called scary part came "move day". When the movers showed up everything went great. I was surprised, especially from my past experience. I am so happy with the service that Presidential Moving provided, that I felt it was only right to share my experience. Thank you Amber and crew, you all were amazing.

Long-distance move from Irvine, CA to Irving, TX

Trash can moving services - Trashy company.

I'm sharing my most disappointing feedback ever in my life with any service provider. This happened on 10/8/17. Ethan, moving consultant made several calls to me to arrange my move from Irvine, CA to Dallas, TX. He promised me to abide by the quote given after an onsite survey of the inventory in my home with every nook and corner covered. The quote was $2380 for 595 cu. ft.. This was a quote given after adding an extra 10-20% of cu. ft on top of what was estimated for my goods. Ethan agreed to abide by this. Then I book my move by paying $595.00 dollars, they call it booking charge. Ethan in fact, was at home when he asked my booking charge. He said he'll take my credit card details and then give it to his office. I said I'm just not comfortable with that and asked his office to call me. So they did. Then, on the date of move, a guy named Constantine arrived in the truck on the day of move. So we are all packed up, worked the whole day on Saturday, 10/7 to pack everything in place and dead tired. Constantine comes and tells me he wants to take a look around the home. He does. He then opens all the cabinetry, closets, cup boards. He goes back out. Comes back and says he again wants to take a look. Does the same thing, opens up all cupboards. Then goes out. Then comes back after 10 minutes and tells me that my stuff is so much that it would cover half the truck, 1000 cu. ft. He then gives me an estimate of $5476. So exactly 130% more than the quoted amount. I tell him I won't take that. He goes out again. Then, I text Ethan and asked him to call. But , Ethan, (who spoke with me on his days-off to generate a quote, who made a 100 calls to me to book my move) tells me he wants to just text. Anyway, then I receive a call from customer service and a lady with the rudest and the loudest of the voices, tells me in a loud voice 'SIR, THE DISPATCH GUY TOLD ME YOU'VE AN ISSUE, CAN YOU TELL ME WHAT THAT IS' as if she doesn't know what it is. Anyway, I explain her my concern. She then tells me in an intimidating tone and a kind of threatening tone - 'SIR, YOUR STUFF IS A LOT, IT WILL NEED 30-40 BOXES (the estimate was 15-20 boxes). SO WE'VE TO CHARGE YOU MORE' and tells me again that they need to charge me $5200.00. She now starts yelling and again in a threatening tone 'SIR, YOU'VE SIGNED A CONTRACT WITH US, YOU WON'T GET ANYTHING BACK OF THE $595.00 YOU PAID FOR BOOKING'. I told her I won't comment on that. I told her to just send her guys out of my sight. AND they went back. They JUST WENT BACK. So we were just stuck in the home with the things just lying there. We were so annoyed, so frustrated, so angered by these unprofessional, unethical movers. And just imagine they demanding $5200.00 even without starting packing and without moving an inch.

Local move within Connecticut

Not to be trusted.

Presidential Movers definitely appear to be untrustworthy. They picked up my furniture one week ago. My sales rep, Nick, was fast talking and ready to shoot at all other moving companies saying that they were most likely brokers and that they often added 5 star reviews to websites such as this one. In short: don't trust them, trust Presidential. He explained his company owned their own trucks and had professional guys doing the packing and loading. I signed a contract and waited for the pick-up.
On 10/29/17, an Enterprise truck arrived. The packers were college-aged guys that all spoke Russian. They worked hard, but did not really look like they knew what they were doing. I was told that I would have to pay for all materials at pick up. I called Nick immediately, and then again, and a third time during the course of the move. He never responded.
My belongings went off to a storage facility in CT, and they remain there.
I was called on 11/3 to schedule a delivery, but the woman, Maria, on the other end could not give an exact date, or even a range of dates. When I grew frustrated, she transferred me to Lynn, in dispatch. I left her a message. No response.
I have now called all the numbers that I have for Presidential dozens of times, to no avail. No one picks up, and no one returns calls. They have disappeared.
I don't want to accuse them of holding my furniture hostage, but there is no other conclusion to be drawn from their unprofessional behavior. I hope to eventually get my stuff. But expect if I do it will arrive broken, as some other reviewers experienced.
Please pay attention to the warning at the top of this website. What my friend Nick claimed other movers do, is exactly what Presidential does: they write false 5-star reviews.
DO NOT USE THESE GUYS!!

Long-distance move from Wilmington, DE to Sacramento, CA

Interstate move from Delaware to California.

Presidential Moving Services has picked up my household items on Aug 2017, however it went to a storage in Maryland upon my request. In 1st week of Sep 2017, I have called them and confirmed to start the shipment to California. During initial days, they told the business was effected by IRMA hurricane. After 2 weeks they said the truck is not full and they are still scheduling the pick up. And, it went on and on..yet they have not scheduled my pick up and trust me 2 months have passed by saying this.
I have send about 13 emails but there was no response. Called multiple times, left voice mails and every time the dispatch person 'Jessica' said she has no information as 'Alex' the foreman has not scheduled the pick up yet.
This is causing very inconvenience to me and my family as all our household items are stuck in the transport. This company is not responsive and the representatives are very rude. Keeping my fingers crossed, hope they understand my pain and deliver the shipment asap.

Long-distance move from Florida to Mississippi

Good experience.

We moved from Hollywood Florida to Pearl Mississippi all that we can say is WOW!! What a great Experience we had. They were very professional. Louis was very patient and informative and answered all of our questions and concerns. The only reason I’m not giving 5 stars is because we thought we would be delivered in 4 or 5 days like Louis said he was projecting and were delivered in 6 days overall Great Service Great price Just one day off on the delivery.

SCAM Moving Company – Avoid at all costs!

We were ripped off, the movers were rude, stole from us, customer service – non responseive via email and only occasionally reachable via phone - was unapologetic and rude.

This is a classic moving scam company. If you follow this checklist to avoid scam companies, Presidential Moving FAILS this test (https://www.daveramsey.com/blog/protect-yourself-from-moving-scams). Just read this site and make sure select another company that passes the test, not this company. Here is the story for we got taken for more than $3000.

- Our estimate was $3151.98 and our total ended up being $6,640.50 for a 1500 sq ft 2 bed/1bath home. My in-laws moved a 4600 sq ft (3x the size of our place) 5 bed/4 bath100 miles further than our move and paid $10,000 (1.5x the cost). Our actual cost was more than double what we were given as an estimate (the space estimate was off by 42% - 907 estimated vs 1530 cubic feet actual). This is despite two detailed walkthroughs of all our possessions. They charge per cubic foot, but once loaded on the truck, they just give you a measurement – with no way to validate how or if they measured the cubic footage.

- Two of the three movers were incredibly rude. We had a tree removal service here at the same time due to Irma damage (not by our choice). The tree removal asked for 15 minutes to use our driveway and the mover was rude with me and said "this is wasting my time." The tree removal company complained to move that the movers were very rude to him, and spoke quietly in an Eastern European language he could not understand (nor could I).

- The moving truck tore down a tree limb in our front yard, then tried to blame it on our maintenance man who is here every day (even though we saw them do it) AND the aforementioned tree removal company.

- We had a box of liquor outside our door for our neighbors. I saw a mover take a bottle, hiding it behind an empty, folded box. The bottle was quickly hidden in the truck when I went to confront them about him so I had no proof.

- I emailed Christian, who provided us the initial estimate, and never heard anything back.

- I called Customer Service and spoke with Brie. Brie’s tone was rude, annoyed, critical. I issued all of the complaints above and never received anything resembling an apology or attempt to achieve customer satisfaction. Every time I politely issues a complaint, she just “noted”. Never asked if there was anything else she could do, if she answered my questions. Of course there is no survey to provide feedback on their customer service – something offered by any reputable company.

- First, we were told the balance could be paid with personal check. We wrote a check and this was not accepted – we were then told cash or postal money order only. I provided a Cashier’s Check from my bank (for which I paid a fee), but this would not suffice. The movers waited with our stuff for two hours while my sister in law withdrew $4K from her savings and paid them in cash.

- Despite the fact that the company promises to assemble desks, tables, beds, etc. they had to be asked to do this upon delivery. And they acted very annoyed when asked to complete this

The company has only existed since August 2017, is not part of the BBB, and was one of the worst experiences I have ever had with a business. We’re a young couple with our first child on the way in May, and we had carefully budgeted for our move. Presidential Moving unapologetically scammed us and disrupted my family’s financial well-being. Please avoid at all costs and make sure none of your friends and family use them. Any positive reviews are likely fake!!

Our credit card company is disputing the charge, and we'll be reporting them to the BBB.

Long-distance move from Escondido, CA to Hoquiam, WA

Worst outfit around.

BEWARE!! Day 19- and still no sign of half our belongings. They give excuses when they answer at all which is seldom. We were quoted as 4 days initially.

They initially quoted $6300, then it went up to $9k, then $12k and finally refused to unload the first truck without giving them $13,000.

Yes- $13,000 for a job initially quoted as $6300.

The half of our belongings we have gotten have broken items- including a irreplaceable vase. Little to no protective or packing material on it and some of the other valuables.

After going over the list if belongings initially they then forgot half my AC unit which we had to ship up on our own cost- not to mention we were also charged a $500 fee for our safe- which was not initially quoted. They also refused to take the TV mounts at the old house.

Seriously- the lack of communication or professionalism, failure to deliver in anything remotely resembling a prompt timeframe and far less than professional behaviour in the ever elevating fees and costs are absurd.

Their is no excuse for a move from San Diego, CA to a small town in Washington state to take this long.

Find someone- anyone else to move your stuff people.
