Long-distance move from Kingman, AZ to Waycross, GA

Perennial Van Lines.

Worst experience of my life. I guess they choose who to treat right. I have read the reviews and see where they packed up and moved peoples items. These people had great experiences and I was wondering if this is the same company. Me and my teenage son assisted the movers both to load and unload. Treadmill broken, solid wood kitchen table scratched up. $1600 more charged after doing the contract on the day of the move, they say because I had large boxes and it should have been medium (contract indicated large) I had to throw away items such as extra dining room table (included in the contract), computer desk which they deemed "wouldn't survive". I have a mangled mess of a Marcy work out station ($2,500 value) I guess they loosened my dining room chairs for what reason I don't know. If I am paying over $5,000 why should I have to help movers move me and unload my things myself? I even fed the one guy who appeared weak and hungry. I moved this furniture from Georgia to Arizona myself in a U-Haul with wife and two kids up front as well as a car towed behind for half the price and none of the problems and none of my stuff got damaged. I will never use another moving company again even if I move to Alaska.

Do not use Perennial Vanlines!

This is a broker, not a full service moving company. They make agreements they have no intention of fulfilling because they sub contract out your move to another carrier who cares nothing of the contract you sign with Perennial. Run away as fast as you can from them please. For the sake of your sanity, your belongings, and your bank account. They had extremely poor communication with us and the carrier they hired and caused us a great deal of stress for our cross-country move. The carrier demanded cash at the time of pickup and delivery with zero flexibility on payment methods. We were expected to have over $7,000 in cash at the time of delivery. Every time we questioned the amount and method of payment, they increased the amount. If we didn’t provide that balance in cash, they said they would consider that a refusal to accept delivery, would take our belongings, put them in storage, and charge us. This was not in contract. They have no clue what customer service truly means. Please use another company — get a full service moving company.

Never Use Them- Predatory!

We hired Perennial Van Lines for an inter-state move. They gave me an estimate of about 4,000 lbs for my belongings and a price of roughly $3,000. When the movers came, they said my stuff weighed 8,000 lbs, and demanded $6,000. I requested to have the truck reweighed as this seemed suspicious, and they refused. They also destroyed a lot of my belongings, and didn't deliver everything - I'm still waiting on about 25% of my stuff. Lastly, the movers would schedule a delivery and then not show up SIX TIMES IN A ROW. They finally delivered to a different city, and I had to hire a different moving company.

Perennial states they are "just a broker" and not legally responsible for the carriers they hire, but then what good are they? Also their customer service is AWFUL. They told me I'd have full value protection for my move, then when they came to pickup, said it wasn't possible.

This move has been one of the worst experiences of my life. I am now engaged in civil litigation. NEVER USE PERENNIAL VAN LINES- SERIOUSLY.

Long-distance move from Minnesota to California

Total Rip off.

I was fooled with these reviews and stars and spoke with these ppl to move my stuff from MN to CA. These people without even informing gave to cheap ABC moving systems who has very bad reputation. By the time we came to know we lost everything that was dear to us.. we lost 10% of things with 80% broken furniture. Very careless people and unproffesional . I just hope these people get paid for what they did to me and I believe in karma.

Worst Experience Ever!!

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!! I scheduled this move in March for a June 22-23 pick up. I contacted the company many time leading up to the move to attempt to get an ETA on the movers. They couldn't provide me any information..I'd get a call 24 hours before the arrival and load is what I was told. That didn't happen and the only contact made was when I called them..even to get notified that they weren't going to be able to honor the contract and provide me the service I paid for. "We don't have room on our truck and no other trucks are available." I was treated as though I was an annoyance and my requests were over the top. Like a request to have a manager explain how this could happen, or a request for the cancellation in writing with a guarantee of refund or someone contact me instead of me always having to contact them. Needless to say this was my worst experience ever with a service company and I would recommend never using this companies service!

Long-distance move from Detroit, MI to San Francisco, CA

Canceled on me last-minute!

I booked Perennial Van lines two weeks in advance of my move. When the two-day window came for my move, they called to cancel right in the middle of it! They cited “mechanical issues”, but I am certain that they just didn’t want to move me during the week of the 4th of July. They also didn’t even offer to reschedule! I had to find another mover at the last minute at nearly double the cost.

Don’t be fooled by their low quote, avoid this company!

Scam - Avoid Perennial Like The Plague.

READ THIS REVIEW IN FULL BEFORE GOING WITH PERENNIAL. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR BUSINESS - THEY WILL LIE, CHEAT, AND STEAL FROM YOU WITHOUT MERCY.
Similar to the other bad reviews, this review will provide in detail how Perennial utterly fails as a "moving company" and should be wiped off the existence of Earth.
I can easily swear upon my life that none of the positive reviews on this website are real, since *anyone* can write a positive review, Just READ THEM: They're all short, vague as fk, feels like they're written by robots, and 5-stars. ALL LIES.

1. Perennial is a broker company, not a moving company. This means Alexis Jordan or one of the other succubus will take your quote, give you a price that's too good to be true, and then give the actual moving assignment to the local movers with the lowest bid in that area. BUT, they will promise the movers that movers can change the price at their whim.

2. Alexis Jordan (or one of her ilk) will contact you with the super low quote and bring you in to sign the contract, which contains a deposit. Once you sign the contract, they push through the order to "get the move done on time". They will LIE and say WHATEVER IT TAKES to get you to sign, because once you sign and believe them, you will have lost.

3. Day of moving arrives, the local cheap mover will (or will not) show up, re-evaluate, and upcharge the price right away because the load is "not the correct weight" or "as described". They won't move the items unless you pay more than quoted. At this point if you try to contact Perennial / Angela Prime the customer rep, THEY WILL NOT RESPOND. They already have your deposit, and will charge the remaining balance since "the move is underway". So you're on the hook for Perennial's full quote, and the [EDIT] local mover's additional fees if you want your things moved.

4. Because you're MOVING and often don't have a choice, you pay the mover the extra and they haul your stuff away. Since it's a low-cost, [EDIT] mover, they will likely damage, destroy, or lose your items along the way. I'm still waiting on 25% of my items, and the portion that did arrive have all been significantly damaged.

5. At this point, you the customer, have lost BIG TIME. The move was a total disaster, you've paid double the money, and have lost everything. All because Perennial the SCAM BROKER COMPANY promised you the world and instead delivered a middle finger.

6. SUMMARY: Perennial will tell you everything you want to hear at a low quote, until you sign the contract. After that Alexis Jordan and her liar salespeople are like ghosts in the wind and you will never hear from them again. The [EDIT] movers they contract will destroy all your stuff and upcharge you, and you will come out of this hating your life.
Alexis Jordan (and ilk) and Angela Prime, you should be rotting in jail, and you will!

If I can save one customer from using these guys, then I can breath a little easier. Go with a reliable, more expensive local moving company with a Yelp page, you'll thank yourself for it!

Long-distance move from Michigan to Mississippi

The worst company I have ever dealt with.

This is literally the most dishonest, unprofessional group of people on the planet. Our move was literally a nightmare. They lied from day 1, tried to revise quotes and say items weren't on the list, hired a fly by night company to kove my good who broke half of what we had and were over a week late. I would rather a group of monkeys move my stuff than this company. I plan to sue.

Disturbing & Stressful Moving Experience with Perennial van Lines.

Disturbing & Stressful Moving Experience with Perennial van Lines (Carrier - 500Move Relocation Network ): AZ to TN (yet to receive my stuff)

It is stressful to move family households specially along with a kid, from one state to another and when you engage moving professionals there is hope that, certain aspects of the move will be taken care, I.e Movers will abide to what is promised in the sales pitch over the phone. Move will be smooth. You would leave for the new place in time, and your stuff will arrive in time at your new place. What more to ask…

When you try to find the reliable movers over phone, you rely in general on the business ethics and believe what’s being sold over the phone will be correct, however I found everything the opposite way so far.

In my selection of movers I choose perennial van lines over a 2 hour call with the sales agent Daniel Chase for the following reasons:

-Reasonable Price with the inventory provided over phone (however we had over estimated certain households things which were dropped off on the final day)
-Assurance of help with the Move
-Assurance of Quality Control I.e. last minute inventory check etc
-Assurance of Movement of the my stuff to the nearest storage in Tennessee as we need things quickly for the Kid
-Fantastic Customer care service

None of the above points which were put out as on a sales pitch held up so far:

-Quality Assurance did not call a day before to finalize the inventory list.
-When the actual vendor carrier (500Move Relocation Network) showed up inventory list was referenced to be incorrect.
-New inventory was done on the day of the move. (we had less items though)
-Carrier vendor agent who showed up commented on size (its too big) of Doll house which was already added in the original inventory.
-Carrier vendor agent who showed up commented on size (its too big) of sectional couch with ottoman already in the original inventory.
-Carrier vendor agent who showed up commented on bed being platform with head board and not box (which was not a problem while doing inventory on phone)
-Carrier vendor agent who showed up commented on changing extra for pacing TV even though we had TV box.
-Prices were then renegotiated at the spot and were increased from the original quote.
-I was told my stuff will not be moved to TN and will be stored in AZ until I provide an address

I had to go along with what was renegotiated at the last moment because we had to move with a kid, I felt very much manipulated, disturbed and cheated with the experience, as all what I was made to believed over the phone call did not turn out to be true.

Customer care experience so far has not been great, 1 week after updating my new address there was no schedule for my delivery (move not started yet from AZ by the carrier vendor)

As we settle in this new place with the kid, I had to buy things immediately for the household to get thing moving, which I already possess, if only we could get out stuff in time….

Liars.

I booked on Friday with Michael. I told him I needed my stuff by Tuesday. He told me it could happen. He never left a doubt that it wasn't possible or that it could take longer or that I would need to pay more for the privilege. They sold my contract to another company who cannot deliver until 5 days from the date specified. I'm screwed because Michael was not honest about his company or their ability to deliver on time or the date specified. They're customer service was also very unhelpful. No one every said it wasn't possible or that it could take up to 5 days. They are liars.
